Couldn’t have been more perfect.

I cannot say enough positive things about Matt. Matt did my brother & sister in law’s big day and I loved his work and hoped he could make our last minute Benton Harbor, MI barn wedding. He was so quick to respond and we were able to book him just a couple weeks before our day. Because of two cancelled Covid wedding dates, being able to have him there last minute was a relief and joy. The day of he arrived early because he is a professional who wanted to be prepared to do his job well - and that he did. He was kind and unobtrusive all day, most of the time we didn’t even know he was there - except for when he did the interviews. I am so so thankful for those interviews. They are so valuable and came together so beautifully in the preview video. It’s only been a little over a month since our wedding and last night we reviewed our 15 minute work of art. Wow. Matt is an artist. We sent to family and everyone was in tears. I am so so thankful for having Matt at our wedding and you will be too. Great guy. Professional videographer. Talented artist. Our DVDs will be coming within a couple weeks, and I’m shocked because most videographers take 6 months-a year. Thank you Matt for giving us reassurance on our big day and a beautiful work of art that we will be able to cherish forever.

MK Wedding Story captured our day perfectly!

Matt captured the highlights of our day so perfectly! Our #1 goal going into the wedding planning process was to throw all the 'rules' out the window, make it personal - about us, our family, our friends and our love for one another. He somehow put an 8+ hour day into the most memorable short film that my husband and I can't stop watching over and over again. The unexpected editing mix of voiceover, music, color to black & white footage was more than we could have asked for! We couldn't be happier with our overall experience with MK Wedding Story

Exceeds Expectations

I first saw Matt’s work in 2015 and instantly knew I had to have him as my videographer when it was my time to get married. When I got engaged in 2018, Matt was one of the first vendors I contacted and booked for my wedding.

The wedding video he created for us exceeded my expectations! After watching ourselves, we immediately jumped in the car to go show our parents and other loved ones. It brought us to tears, made us smile, and helped us remember the emotions we had on our wedding day.

We loved our wedding video! Matt did an excellent job capturing our love story through his creative eye. After the wedding we were able to sit back, and really relive our special day. Yesterday was our two year anniversary and we LOVED re-watching our video. Matt captured all the wonderful moments that we want to be reminded of. Matt was super easy to work with, blending into our friends and family. Kyle and I are ever grateful to have our wedding video!

Matt was so low-key, calm, and easy to work with. I honestly did not know he was there half the time and our wedding party and those around us felt the same. But his work is nothing less than breath-taking. Nothing really prepares you for that moment after the wedding is over, the bills have been paid, and you're just sitting on your couch drinking a beer with your new husband on a Friday night when you get the email saying your video is ready. Knowing that we have this for our lifetime and beyond; for our kids, and grandkids and all the rest, is truly priceless. Spend a little extra now and you will never be disappointed that you did!

Our wedding video is absolutely amazing!!! I watched our video months after our wedding and the emotions came rushing back like it yesterday. Matt did an absolutely amazing job. My husband and I could not have picked a better person to capture our wedding day. It is absolutely beautiful and will be treasured for the rest of our marriage.

To give the best description, we sent the video to some our closest friends and one response was "I feel like at this end of the movie (our wedding video) there should be all of the awards it's nominated for. That may have been the best movie trailer I have ever seen." Need I say more...

I don't even know where to start... I watched so many videos when trying to choose our wedding videographer, and when I first watched one of Matt's I cried! I knew then I had to have him as our videographer and I'm SO glad that it worked out. Our wedding video is absolutely perfect, everything I dreamed of! I booked MK Wedding Story for our videography because Matt had done my sister's wedding. To be completely honest, I had my doubts that my video would be as good as hers, because hers was so great and I didn't think that level of greatness could be replicated again in another video! My doubts were squashed immediately within 20 seconds of watching our video for the first time.

MK Wedding Story did an absolutely incredible job of capturing our relationship, love of our family, and our love of our venue, Disney. The video has so many wonderful little moments that I had already forgotten and I am so happy that we can relive the happiest day of our lives to date through this magical video! The music was absolutely PERFECT. The thing I am happiest that I spent the money on for our wedding was by far the videography with MK Wedding Story. I will treasure our video forever. It couldn't be more perfect.

As for working with Matt, that was pretty perfect as well! He was very professional and listened to what you wanted and didn't want, and took that all into consideration for the video. It was amazing how it seemed like Matt had known us for our whole lives when we watched the video!

If you're thinking about booking a videographer, book MK Wedding Story because I can promise you that you won't regret it and will be in awe of the art Matt creates with your video!

My husband and I absolutely love our video Matt gave us and can't stop watching it!! Matt did such a wonderful job capturing all of the special moments from our wedding day and it was so neat to see parts of our day that we weren't present for because they were happening behind the scenes. We love all of the filters he used, the songs that were chosen, and how he brought in all of the speeches given that day into our video. Matt has a great attention to detail. We love how he captured all of our emotions and personalities throughout the whole day. The video is truly amazing and he does such wonderful work. We loved our experience with Matt and could not be happier with the final product! On the wedding day, I really appreciated how Matt seamlessly blended in but was happy to engage with our guests, too. We had a pretty rowdy group that was excited to be on camera and he handled everyone with ease and a smile on his face. The video captured exactly what we wanted the vibe of our wedding to be and who we are as a couple. Wow! Where to begin?! I had gone back and forth between hiring a videographer or not after we got engaged. I had read many articles and talked to lots of people and they said their biggest regret about their wedding was not hiring a videographer. My parents said if I wanted one I had to pay for it. So I finally decided that I had to have a videographer and I'm so glad that I did! Our pictures are amazing and I love them just as much but having the video makes the memory seem so real. The day goes by so fast you almost forget what all happened and to have the video to rely on to remember is one of the best investments I have ever made! People keep calling and texting us telling us how amazing the video is. If you are on a budget, cut back somewhere else so that you can have a videographer. You'll be so glad you did! Matt is wonderful! So sweet and professional. You don't even realize he's there filming you. He makes it so easy! If I could go back I would always pick to have him as our videographer. Thank you thank you Matt!!

Matt did an excellent job capturing our day! Not only was he extremely professional, but he arrived early and stayed longer than scheduled to capture one more moment at our reception-- which was simply above and beyond. We love Matt's creative style and feel like we got an amazing price for the quality of work in his film. It was great to relax the day of our wedding and trust MKWeddingStory and LinneaLiz (photographer) to capture our day....they both worked wonderfully together. We have had so many people tell us how much they loved our video and wish they had done something like that for their wedding day. We also had so many people (including our parents) remark how they never even noticed Matt there in the moments captured in our video. Matt seems to truly care about the couples he works with and we cannot recommend him any more highly. You will not regret inviting Matt to your wedding!!!

Matt was great to work with. He was flexible and even traveled 2 hours to our venue. He had a phone conversation with us prior to booking him and answered any questions. Throughout the process, he remained in communication and answered any questions promptly. The video he created is a piece of work. It captured our day perfectly and is something we will have for the rest of our lives. We knew he was very talented from looking at his previous work, but when it is your own video it just means even more. Looking back on the entire wedding costs, this is one area NOT to skip! Video captures something pictures cannot (the emotion, the happiness, the movements of the day, and those speeches that you will surely forget after the wedding) I am SO happy that we decided to "splurge" on a videographer. Matt is actually very reasonably priced for the quality of work that he does. Brides: the day goes by so fast, everyone tells you that and it is so true. After the wedding, I just kept wanting to remember moments I was involved in and also to see moments I could not be part of. Hiring a videographer allows you to experience all of that. This was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding day! (Besides marrying each other, of course! :) He was extremely prompt with delivering us our video as well (within 5 weeks of getting married!)

Matt did everything right. It took us a while to make a decision to hire a videographer as this was a bit of a splurge item for us. Matt answered all of our questions and patiently kept in contact with us as we went through the vetting process. We knew that we loved Matt's style from the first video we watched and he was reasonably priced which helped with the decision.
He was incredibly flexible as I had a few last minute requests that he was able to accommodate without any hesitation. On the day of the wedding Matt was practically invisible. He never made it inconvenient for us, the photographer or the other guests. He was incredibly professional and I knew before we even saw the video that we would love the footage.
Now that we have seen the video I wish I could give Matt 10 stars. He exceeded our expectations beyond what we could have ever imagined. Matt did a great job piecing together so many different moments to really capture the love, emotion and beauty of the day. After sharing our video on FB I had so many people who were not invited to the wedding reach out to tell me that it was the most beautiful video they had ever seen. Many said it brought tears to their eyes. Matt has a great talent when it comes to capturing and editing some of the most important, once in a lifetime moments. This is something that I will watch over and over for many years to come. Matt was a great addition to our wedding day and he delivered the perfect package to wrap up our wedding memories.

Matt was amazing! We saw his work at a friend's wedding and we knew immediately that we wanted to hire him. He was so accommodating with us and even traveled 5+ hours to our wedding site. He was so laid back (almost too laid back at times - but I'm a bit OCD) with the booking process and even lowered the deposit because he knew that we were paying multiple vendors in the same week.

Day of, you barely noticed he was there. My wife and I watch our video and are amazed by some of the shots he captured, because Matt was so sly with his camera work.

His style of editing is so unique and really makes such a big difference. Our video has received such rave reviews - I wouldn't be surprised if Matt's schedule starts filling up (even more) quickly.

Many people told us that we didn't need a videographer and that pictures were enough. We are so grateful that we didn't listen to them and splurged on MK Wedding Story. If you are on a budget, find another area to trim back to make sure you have this to document your day.

Finally, stop looking anywhere else. As I mentioned, I'm very type-A and researched every videographer in an insane radius of our venue (even considering paying the travel of NYC-based vendors). Matt is the best that we found. Do yourself a favor, stop researching and book him before someone else does!

Matt is awesome!! If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding videographer...first of all, book one and secondly (and even more importantly), book MKWedding Story! I cannot tell you how thrilled we are with our wedding film. Matt was able to capture our day perfectly in 15 minutes. We absolutely love our photos but there is something so nice about having a video to watch to remember how our day moved and flowed. Matt was so easy to work with and we really didn't even notice him while he was filming! I loved doing the interviews while we were getting ready and we loved the way he incorporated them into the video. We are so happy with our wedding film and are so thankful we had Matt apart of our special day!

This was our first time to use Matt for our daughter's wedding. Needless to say it was the most amazing day & Matt captured EVERY special tender moment you can imagine! We were speechless when we viewed it for the first time. We all had lots of tear shedding during the entire 15 minute story. He was such a joy to work with from the beginning to the final day. My husband and I went back and forth on a wedding videographer. We were unsure of how much we would really watch it, finding one in our budget, and if they would really capture "our" story. I can honestly say, the video that Matt created for us, is our most valuable piece from our wedding day. Matt does an incredible job capturing EVERY moment from your day. My husband and I share such a wonderful life with our family and friends and Matt went above and beyond making that a part of our story. Booking a videographer was something my husband wasn't crazy about. He didn't think it was really necessary. But, I had heard of Matt and seen his videos and it was definitely a MUST for me. Matt was fantastic to work with. Prompt replies, great attitude, and you barely realized he was even there at the wedding! Many people thought, "There was a videographer? I didn't see him." He kept to himself but captured everything. Then, when I finally saw our video. I was speechless. It was perfect in every way--capturing the serious moments, the funny moments, the moments that were too good to be true. It was so good, even my husband said, "Yeah...okay you're right. He was worth it." (of course I was right!) He totally was and I can't wait to look back at the video on our anniversaries for the many years to come! He has a gift!! His work is absolutely amazing! Everyone has been asking me who did our wedding video. The raw footage was great too! I thought the raw footage had been edited too! WOW! Can't begin to explain how lucky we are to have an Mkweddingstory! Zach and I were shown a film of Matt's work when we visited the Hawthorns Golf and Country Club and it was sold in that minute. We knew we had to have an MK film. Matt was wonderful to work with through the entire process and the value in having this as a wedding memory is indescribable!! First off, Matt responded to every email in an extremely timely manner. He was very laid back about his services without being pushy. We had a hard time deciding and he let us come to the conclusion that we didn't want to miss out on memories captured on our special day!
The day of the wedding my husband was upset. He really didn't want the videography and was not looking forward to the "interview" portion of the day. I received a text right after his interview saying how relaxed it was and that calmly talking and sharing feelings about being excited was perfect.
Matt had never met any of my vendors before and worked amazingly well beside them. He was able to capture everything he needed while giving the photographer the space they needed too.
We waited about 6 weeks and our video arrived!!!!!!!! I have never felt so happy about a decision I made. We had forgotten so much from our wedding day.....the nerves and excitement will do that! When we watched the video together both of us got emotional and knew it was an amazing decision. Our family has felt the same way and their only regret was that Matt wasn't around when they got married!

After searching the web for a videographer for our wedding, I came across Matt's site and fell in love with his style of storytelling. On the wedding day, Matt could not have been calmer or more composed and really made us feel at ease throughout the day. Not only was the film beautifully shot, but the story he told through his editing brought us both to tears. Our families and friends were so impressed. They had never seen a wedding video like ours and many wished they had something like our film to look back on. Matt did a FANTASTIC job on our wedding video! He captured all of the important moments and some other really artful shots and edited it in a professional and meaningful way. We both cry every time we see it and our family has loved it as well. This is not your everyday generic wedding video. Matt is very talented creatively. He was also a breeze to work with and was friendly and responsive throughout the process. During filming, he was sweet and unobtrusive, as well as being a calming presence during a hectic day. He worked well with our photographer, too! I couldn't have asked for a nicer memento from one of the most important days of my life.

Matt is so very talented at what he does. Our wedding video perfectly captured all of the emotions and personalities throughout our day. Every moment that stood out in my mind was incorporated within our video. I was so impressed because I literally loved every single second of our 15 minute video. Not only is his work exquisite, but he is also such a polite and professional guy. He was cooperative all throughout our journey, was so sweet on our day, and was so efficient in getting our video to us. I couldn't believe it was done in less than a month after our wedding! Matt was amazing to work with! Hiring MK Wedding Story was one of the few splurges we allowed ourselves in the planning process, and we don't regret a penny of the money we spent for it.

Working with Matt was extremely easy before, during and after the wedding, and we received both the video and raw footage very quickly.

I just can't get enough of our video, and have watched it almost every day since receiving it. It perfectly captures the essence of the day, preserving both sentimental and humorous moments. Nearly everyone who has watched it has called or messaged to say that it brought tears to their eyes.

Matt Kiefer is a genius videographer. There are so many elements to his films and each element works very cohesively with the others. He really knows what moments to capture and how to make them as magical on film as they were in real life. I just came across your video of Kim and Justin's wedding at D'Amore and I felt compelled to write you immediately but unfortunately do not have the words to express how truly in awe I was of your work. You captured the essence of both of them, highlighting their inner beauty and brought out such emotion in me, that I felt truly sad to only have known the couple for such a short period of time because it was an intensely special day for all included. Matt is the best videographer ever!! When I initially started my search for a videographer I was a bit shocked at the prices and didn't think I could fit it in with the budget. Then I stumbled across Matt's blog and started watching his videos, crying over couples I had never met, but thought there was no way I could afford someone whose work was so amazing. When I contacted him he repsonded immediately and his prices are the best you will find in Indianapolis. Matt is so much fun to work with, very flexible, professional, quick to respond, and always asked for your input in song selections etc. The finished product will make you feel like you are at your wedding again and you will see things you forgot about. Matt did a great job of telling the story of our wedding day- from the vows to the centerpieces to our first look to our rings to our guests- everything was captured and we're so grateful since the day went so fast! He met with us prior to understand us as a couple and what we wanted and was easy to reach via email leading up to the wedding (he always responded very quickly!). He was on time, professional, laid back (which is important when everyone else is stressed) and didn't cause any distractions from the wedding while filming. He had a very quick turnaround (especially compared to other local Indy vendors) and much more affordable prices! I don't know why anyone would choose another videographer when Matt provides top quality, with a very creative and unique angle, for a lower cost. He delivered exactly what we wanted and was even willing to add subtitles for our family that doesn't speak English. When you're dealing with the most important day of your life it's nice to have someone working with you that wants to go over and beyond- not just get by with their work.

My husband and I got married on December 23rd, 2011. Before our wedding, we were desperate to find a creative and patient videographer. As our wedding ceremony was going to be conducted under a different culture and in a completely different language than English, we were not sure if we could find someone who 1) would be willing to shoot our wedding 2) tailor to our culture-specific requests and 3) be present from the very first moment in the beauty salon to the last song of the night. We happened to be one of the luckiest couples ever to find Matt. After listening to us patiently, Matt was able to understand our unique ceremony style, our cultural taste, and specific requirements. He was willing to sit down with us through many different sessions to hear our thoughts and give us creative ideas. At the day of our wedding, Matt surprised my husband and I by showing up extra early to shoot all the specific details. He was very patient, friendly, and fun to be around. He gave great ideas during the video shoots and was able to quickly adjust to all of our wants and needs. He was able to capture every bit of detail we had requested from him, despite the language barriers. Also, he stayed and shot our wedding till the very last second. Well!!!! What else could we ask for you might ask? The BEST short-film MOVIE there is EVER :) Matt provided us with an edited 12 minute video summary of our wedding (along with everything else he will edit for us) the short movie has already been watched by so many people, and every single of them are sooooo impressed. Needless to say, my husband and I have watched it ten thousand times and are so happy with every aspect of it... it's great quality, creative, touching, elaborate, and so carefully edited. We were truly honored to have an opportunity to work with Matt and would recommend him ANYTIME to ANYONE! :) Thank you Matt for making our wedding video so special- we could have not asked for a better videographer. You are truly the best!

When I found out my Grandma may not make it to my wedding, I was devasted, but then I discovered Matt Kiefer and I knew my Grandma would get to witness our wedding in a different way. How do you plan a successful wedding? You surround yourself with talented people who can bring your vision to life. Matt's wedding video is greater than anything I could have imagined. Being that my husband and I live in Indiana with family in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and Washington there were many friends and family who were unable to travel to our wedding ceremony. They have all seen the video and so many have commented how seeing the video made them feel like they were there and a part of the celebration. The way that Matt captured such signficant parts of our wedding day, and put them together in a compliation is truly spectacular and something I will treasure forever.
