We met Melanie and her team at the bridal extravaganza and although there were other florist at that event…once I spoke with her I knew MK Events was the one we wanted and my search was over!! She scheduled a meeting with me right away! I told her my vision and my budget and I really appreciated her honesty. Not only did she communicate with me about our flowers thru this journey but she also helped to calm me as I was feeling so overwhelmed and gave me great advice! You can tell Melanie is in this business for the love of making every brides dream come true. My wedding was this past Sunday and the flowers were even more amazing than I invisioned! Thank you so much the day was truly perfect!! ♥️ -

Melanie and Heather made everything about my floral process so easy. I had an idea of what I wanted and they were able to execute my vision and bring it to life. The floral arrangements were all people were talking about for weeks after the wedding and how beautiful they were. They answered all of my questions and worked with me on finding the best solution to also work with my budge without compromising the vision. I cannot recommend them enough. -

I loved working with Melanie for my wedding!! She really took the time to get to know my style and exactly what I was looking for, even when I wasn’t sure! Western Boho Flowers
Melanie helped make our wedding dreams come to life. Once the flowers were added into the reception, it was amazing. When we first met with Melanie, we had a style and colors in mind and as time went on the style and colors of the wedding slightly changed and she was very adaptable and flexible with making these changes and any changes. She is open and honest on what needs to be done for your florals to look their best. At one point she recommended adding a little bit more money to make my bouquet look a little bit better and she was not wrong! We also had this beautiful photo booth backdrop that was set up by her team that was amazing! She takes your items and inspirations and brings them to life! -

Amazing and Beautiful!
Melanie made my wedding not just a special day, but the most beautiful one. Her flowers are beautiful and fresh. I continue to buy them for other events like mothers day because nothing compares. I highly recommend not only because the quality, but because she is so professional, kind and such a great person to be around and work with. Please consider for your next event! -

They made the wedding reception of our dreams happen!
My husband and I got married in May 2020, when COVID was at its height. We weren't able to have a reception - our ceremony consisted of our immediate families, the minister, and Melanie, who provided beautiful flowers for my bouquet and for what few decorations we had. So when we were finally able to host our reception two years later, we knew we had to get her help again!
Melanie absolutely went above and beyond for our reception. She assembled a beautiful bouquet for me, a boutonnière for my husband, and several large bouquets set in vases around the venue hall. She even scattered flowers and greenery on the tables with our other decorations!
But she did so much more than just flowers. She helped set up our sign-in table and all our decorations, floral or otherwise, before the reception started. She arranged and managed a beautiful spread of fresh fruits, vegetables, and cheese and crackers for all our guests. (See the picture of the pineapple tree for an idea of how amazing it all looked!) She kept things moving during the reception and made sure everyone knew when things were happening. She even made sure that our guests with food allergies got their special snacks with no cross-contamination. She was honestly the glue that held our reception together.
I highly recommend Melanie and MK Events for just about any event you're hosting! She will absolutely knock it out of the park. -

Houston’s Best Wedding planner!
Where do I even began. At the beginning my mom and I where searching for a wedding florist after one had backed out on us. After researching different florist we came across MK events while at lunch. At this time we decided to call MK events-Melanie (the owner) who took about an hour out of her day right then and there to go over every detail on the phone. We were amazed. As time progressed my mother and I figured out we where to far over our heads with wedding planning. Melanie ended up telling us she does wedding planning and day of event coordination. We instantly decided this was the best thing to do. Every day 24 hrs a day Melanie was available to answer or questions and help us navigate the trouble of good and bad vendors. Along with giving us recommendations of good vendors. Her team MK events even came over to our house to go through some of the stuff we had already purchased for the wedding to figure out what was worth using at the wedding. On the day of the wedding and the rehearsal dinner I was more then impressed. The florals came out amazing!! The irony is that I had really wanted peonies for my wedding but we were slowly getting out of the best time to have them and yet they where everywhere at my wedding. In my bouquet to my centerpieces. I wanted to cry. On the day of Melanie’s team was wearing matching clothes so you could instantly tell who they where and they where even wearing headsets to talk to each other. I remember my mom saying how does Melanie always know where I am at. I 100% would recommend MK events for any bride not only did MK events make the day go smoothly but throughout the entire planning process we zoom chatted at least once every two weeks to go over the floor plan, the look of the florals and the line up of family members/bridesmaids. I am so thankful we found MK events for all our wedding planning/floral needs. -

Melanie and her team went above and beyond to help my husband and I execute our vision of modern opulence. Melanie was clear in her communication, and she constantly brought unique ideas to the table. Not only did we hire Melanie for florals, but also, she provided our day-of coordination services. The day was PERFECTLY SEAMLESS. Lastly, we had a budget in mind, and Melanie helped us adhere to it without issue. She is truly the best, and our family adores her! Nailed it!
Melanie really out did herself with my florals! I loved my bouquet and and especially how the boutonnières turned out as well! She pitched the idea to add gold leaves and I am so glad she did! I haven’t seen that in wedding florals before! It was a beautiful touch! Great quality and I would definitely recommend her to other brides! -

I highly recommend her for your wedding or other event, especially if your tired of the tired, ordinary bouquets and floral decor that most florists provide. You WON’T be disappointed! -

Amazing for every event!
I’ve worked with Melanie on several events from a flower arranging class for girls, to a flower bar for a wedding shower, and several large formal events for NCL. One thing is always consistent, they turn out amazing!!! Melanie’s eye for details and her flowers take every event from nice to amazing! I can’t wait to use her one day for my daughters’ weddings!! Recommend 1000%!! -

I absolutely loved the arrangements provided by MK Events! I had chosen a rustic theme wedding and Melanie was able to create my dream wedding all thanks to her beautiful sunflowers and other wooden/ glass decorations. My wedding was over a year ago and people to this day still give me compliments on the decorations and and floral arrangements that we had! she was able to create a perfect bouquet that I had envisioned. Any time I wanted to make a change or a suggestion, Melanie was all ears and eager to create a fun and perfect wedding environment! I would recommend her to anyone that needs beautiful and affordable flowers! -

MK Events was a dream to work with! Melanie is professional & knowledgeable about all things flowers. I went to her with a very tight budget & no idea what I wanted and when I walked away from our first meeting I was confident she knew the look & feeling that would work with everything we had. She kept me up to date on everything & made suggestions when she felt something needed to be changed. I have since used her for other floral arrangements because we were so happy with everything.

Melanie far exceeded my expectations for flowers. Going into it I thought I wanted something super simple, white flowers and greenery only — I was wrong and she knew it!! She did an incredible job using what I described that I liked and spicing it up with some color yet still keeping it simple and classy. She’s very easy to work with and met up with me several times prior to the wedding in person, over the phone and at the venue to make sure we had everything planned out. -
