We had such an amazing night with all of our guests dancing away to the music provided by Mix It Up!. Furthermore, the planning process was so easy using his online system and DJ always made himself available for questions via phone and email in the months leading up to the process. When we were unsure how to proceed in a certain area, he also provided really helpful suggestions. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any of your events and especially a wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. He helped make the experience as stress free as possible! The platform/website he uses to to fill out forms and pick what music we want was very easy and user friendly! His cake also tasted phenomenal! DJ was amazing and so professional. He made everything so easy and delivered exactly what we asked for. He made our wedding celebration so special and had everything so incredibly organized. He also baked our wedding cake which was absolutely beautiful and delicious. He was reasonably priced and we would highly recommend him to anyone for any occasion. -

We could not have asked for a better DJ than DJ Rousseau! From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive, intuitive, and professional. He listened carefully to everything we wanted, honored all of our music preferences, and didn’t play anything we had asked to avoid—which we really appreciated.
He provided all the microphones we needed and played the perfect music for every part of the day—ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He was always prompt with announcements, kept things moving smoothly, and read the room effortlessly. DJ Rousseau truly set the tone for the entire event and made it unforgettable. -

Excellent Experience
My husband and I have known DJ as a friend for a long time before hiring him on for his services as a cake maker and DJ for our wedding. He is incredibly helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The cake was fantastic, everyone loved the music, and he was great at announcing everything throughout the evening. Organized, Thoughtful DJ
DJ was so incredibly thoughtful throughout the planning process. It can be intimidating picking a DJ because unless you're lucky enough to have seen them at another event or worked with them before, it's hard to tell exactly what the vibe will be. DJ was organized and thorough from day 1. His planning form was on point, helping me think of things I hadn't arrived at yet on my own. On the day of, he was super thoughtful, considerate, and flexible, working with us to ensure that we had an amazing entrance into our ballroom, that people got and stayed on the dance floor, and that a reasonable number of guest requests were played. DJ didn't even bat an eye when we asked him to announce a rugby ball toss instead of a bouquet toss (his daughter played, too!) and wasn't phased by the cardboard cutout we had in lieu of my little brother, who was away on military duties- in fact, he even made sure Andrew made a special guest appearance in the booth, one of the highlights of the night and something we'll remember forever! Thank you, DJ, for your professionalism, thoughtfulness, and thoroughness from beginning to end!Mix It Up!'s reply:

DJ was actually the first wedding vendor we hired when planning our wedding as his reviews spoke so highly of his service! He was so responsive and thorough in his communications with us before and during our event. His planning program was really efficient and easy to use and we sincerely appreciated his check-ins and details in the weeks leading up to our wedding. He was patient with us in navigating a lengthy "do not play" list and kept our dance floor busy all night long which is exactly what we wanted. Everything through working with DJ was easy - such a breath of fresh air in what can be a stressful planning process. We also highly appreciated the wireless setup for our outdoor ceremony and really enjoyed his cool setup in the reception area at our venue (sorry he's hidden behind the post in the photo!). Such a great value for everything he provided to us! Thank you, DJ!!!! -

Just amazing
DJ is an over the top man! Just a week before the wedding we had a hard time with real flowers on our cake so he suggested a cascade of flowers. It was so exceptional. His music hit every genre we needed to keep the partying going. As soon as the last song was over at 10pm he was asked to stay for one more hour and he obliged. I don’t think that there are enough words and compliments to say about his service, communication, and the quality of his work. Not only was this wonderful man willing to travel 1.5 hours to us but he also has been amazing with his suggestions and advice on everything. He certainly made sure that perfection was had! DJ helped make our wedding perfect! Not only did he keep the dance floor grooving, he kept our stomachs full of delicious cake! DJ was VERY responsive and flexible to all our needs leading up to our wedding. The layout of our venue required him to have multiple set ups to provide music throughout the evening, he did so with ease and without any interruptions! DJ kept us on the dance floor the entire night! Our guests commented that they had never been to a wedding that literally EVERY song was perfect! One even said she found it hard to leave the dance floor to visit the bar! Now you know it had to be great music :) We would HIGHLY recommend DJ for all of your music and cake needs!Mix It Up!'s reply:

Best All Around
DJ. was absolutely amazing. He was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process- from the first phone call to the big day. I can't imagine our wedding going as smoothly without him. Also, the desserts were DELICIOUS! Our wedding cake was gluten-free and the best cake I have ever had! It meant a great deal to be able to eat cake with my friends and family. We received so many compliments on our wedding thanks to DJ- and I know our guests will continue talking about the amazing peanut butter buttercream frosting for a long time to come! If you want a remarkable wedding, make sure DJ is there!

Amazing DJ and cake services
We hired DJ to make our cake and do the music for our wedding, he absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the very beginning he was great to work with and made things as easy as could be on our end. He answered all of our questions and always responded so quickly. The day of the wedding he made everything go seamlessly, we couldn't of asked for anyone better! Thank you so much DJ for making our experience memorable! The cake was sooo beautiful and the cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious, especially the maple 😋 best vendor hands down as far as communicating and response time. No matter when I messaged him he responded within the same day with great detail and personality. He went above and beyond for us and that meant the world to us and made us feel like it was one less stress we didn’t have to worry about because we knew he was on it and had everything covered!! We have attended multiple weddings where Mix It Up was the DJ and we absolutely love his work, it was a no brainer to have him DJ our wedding! Neither my husband or I are dancers so we weren’t expecting to spend much time on the dance floor but we spent two hours on the dance floor completely tearing it up. We almost asked him to stay longer because we were having so much fun! DJ made the whole process so easy. We never had to worry that we were missing something because he took care of everything we needed. We would HIGHLY recommend Mix It Up to DJ any wedding ☺️Mix It Up!'s reply:

Wedding DJ and Cake Artist
We hired DJ for his DJ services at our ceremony and reception and to make our wedding cake. From the start DJ answered all of our questions and was easy to correspond with. He responded back to us quickly and was so helpful with everything. He worked with us and listened to all the details and specifics we had. He made the day smooth and easy for us which is exactly what we were looking for. His equipment was great and provided guests with a great quality ceremony even though there was no power on the top of the mountain. He took his time to set up the night before our wedding so that there was no delay or break up in the day. He used a software program which helped us tremendously with our wedding day timeline. The program also helped us remember all the important pieces of the reception that we had to make decisions on. Our guests had a great party and loved it! As far as the cake, DJ created the exact cake we were envisioning. He is an artist and the cake came out beautifully. So many people came up to us and said the cake was amazing and encompassed us as a couple and the venue. The cake not only looked great but also tasted excellent! His prices were also extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend DJ for your event! He was great! -

Hiring DJ was a no brainer for us! DJ was so patient, flexible, helpful and overall just the best DJ, who happens to also make THE BEST wedding cake. When we had to postpone our wedding last year due to COVID-19, DJ didn’t skip a beat and was so helpful in making the transition so easy and smooth. During the preparation and planning of the big day, DJ was always available and responsive in a timely manner and he was always giving the best advice to help make our day go as smooth as possible and with the least amount of down time during the reception and he really got all of our guests dancing the night away. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND DJ for not only his DJ services, but also to create the wedding cake of your dreams! -

DJ and us met through a family friend, best decision ever to have him do our wedding cake. He does wedding cakes and other such items on the side as a hobby. He was reasonable, perfectionist and absolutely one of the best wedding cakes we've ever had before. Being the bride and being in the culinary industry for my entire career, I've had many wedding cakes, DJ's is one of the best I've ever tasted, creative, perfect to the design that we wanted for our wedding. Where do I even begin? From the moment I started searching for someone to make our wedding cake, one name kept coming up as "highly recommended" from my friends and co workers. I of course had to take them up on it and reached out to DJ at Mix It Up! and right from the beginning I was happy with how quickly he responded and started answering all of my questions. I really had no idea what I wanted for a cake as far as size goes, I just had seen a few design pictures and sent those over to him.
He went out of his way to bring me some almond buttercream to taste to make sure that was what I was hoping for and BOY it did not disappoint one bit. We had decided to go with a almond buttercream, vanilla cake with his famous raspberry filling (you have to try this!).
Weeks and months to follow, I would reach out with questions or concerns as our wedding day was approaching and DJ always responded in a timely fashion and made me feel at ease.
The day of the wedding he arrived with much time to spare, and even placed my flowers on the cake which couldn't have looked better. He even found a heart shaped eucalyptus leaf in my flower bunch and placed in on the cake and made sure I saw it. His attention to detail is really something else, our cake was simply beautiful.
Now, not only was the cake beautiful but WOW did it taste good! There was not even half of a slice left when the cake was served, all that was left were a few crumbs.
If you're considering using DJ with Mix It Up! for your wedding cake, look no further. I promise you will not be disappointed!
We can't thank you enough for putting such a sweet touch to our wedding day!

DJ was amazing! In the months leading up to our wedding, he was always available to answer any questions and even helped me out when I was stressed! He gave me ideas for specific music themes, songs, and was always willing to help! DJ kept our crowd up and moving and our guests said this was one of the best weddings they’ve been to because of the music and vibe!

DJ was AMAZING! My husband and I had our wedding August 10th with quite the crazy weather (sudden downpour at the wrong time)! DJ was flexible, and at the last minute moved all of his equipment from the ceremony site (up the hill outdoors) to inside the tent to make our ceremony work. DJ was always responsive when we had questions, and made great suggestions for our reception music that were a hit (LISTEN TO HIS SUGGESTIONS). DJ made sure the party kept going all night long, and for that we are forever grateful! Now, for the cake. We required a gluten-free cake, which is often hard to make, and keep together. DJ killed it. The cake he made for us was honestly the best cake we've ever had, regardless of gluten or not. It was moist, flavorful, and he listened to us when we said we didn't like super sweet frostings. This cake was PERFECT. I really cannot recommend DJ and his DJ and cake making services enough. DJ helped to make our wedding day perfect!
When it comes to your wedding you don't want to have to worry about more of the little details than you have to. I highly recommend you let DJ take some of your stress off! We had DJ make our cake for our recent wedding and he went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Simple but elegant was what we wanted and it was delivered to a T! Not only was the cake stunning, but it was one of the best cakes we have ever tasted! So much so that we are actually looking forward to pulling it out of the freezer in a year (and we bet it will still be amazing)!Mix It Up!'s reply:

My husband and I got married in May of 2016 at the Inn at Mountain View Farm in East Burke, Vermont. There was so much to plan, and I am a definite worrier. Two things I never worried about, however, were the music and the cake! I knew that with DJ in charge, they would be fantastic.
DJ not only kept everyone at the reception on the dance floor all night, he also did the music for our ceremony. This was not the easiest of tasks, since we got married on a hilltop without power, but DJ worked his magic and made it perfect!
The cake was stunning, a four-tiered masterpiece that tasted as good as it looked. DJ even attached real flowers from our florist to the cake!

We worked with Dj Mix It Up for our wedding DJ and cake. First, the cake he made was BEAUTIFUL. Also we did a chocolate raspberry and vanilla vanilla flavored tiers for our cake. My father does not like chocolate cake but LOVE DJs cake! As for the music and the flow of events he was flexible, had the dance floor moving all night, and played a variety of music so that each one of our guests got up and danced. He supplied the music and audio for our ceremony as well without any issue. Would highly recommend!!! -
