Incredible Video & Photography Team!

Jamie and her tight-knit team at Mitten Films produced an exceptional wedding video that encapsulated our day perfectly. We used both her videography and photography services. The results were so much better than I could have imagined and hoped for! Jamie captured the intricate details of our day beautifully, as well as the primal moments, incorporating great background music in the video with fantastic transitions between clips. Cannot help but get emotional each time I play it back. Mitten films has contributed greatly to making many of the details of our wedding day absolutely unforgettable.

I’d also like to note Jamie’s professionalism, stellar communication and timeliness, flexibility and having a wealth of ideas and knowledge with different backdrops for portraits. Her team is personable and makes any group feel comfortable!

Best team ever!

Jamie and her team were beyond amazing to work with. Leading up to the day there was great communication, amazing organization of all our details, and the engagement shoot was just out of this world!!! When we got those photos back it made us even more excited than we already were to see how they would capture our big day. We did photography and videography with them and it was the best decision of our whole wedding! The video and photos are fantastic and we’ve gotten so many compliments on them. We can’t wait to find another reason to work with Jamie in the future!

Jamie is a great person to hire if you want a great video to look back on your special day. She created a wonderful video for my husband and I. I can't thank her enough for capturing the footage. 100% would recommend to anyone!

Such an amazing video!

Jamie was amazing! She made us feel so comfortable and made sure she got the shots she needed! She was very responsive and made sure she understood what we wanted and came with lots of ideas of her own.
The clips she captured helped us to relive our special day over and over. I would recommend Mitten Films to everyone.

LOVED working with Mitten Films!

Jamie and Ian were so great to work with. We booked with them for videography about a year and a half in advance, and had contact with them throughout the entire time leading up to our day. At our wedding, they were extremely kind and made everyone feel comfortable while they were shooting. We have gotten soo many compliments on our highlight video and we are so in love with how they captured our day. We would highly recommend Mitten Films to anyone looking for a videographer (or photographer!)

Best of MI Wedding Photography

We could not have asked for a better wedding photographer for our special day. Jamie and her second shooter captured every shot we asked for & more. They were so easy-going and were happy to go with the flow with the schedule of our day! I had no stress thanks to Jamie and we will cherish her beautiful work for many years to come. An amazing local business!!

Went above and beyond during tornado warning at outdoor wedding!

We booked Mitten Films for engagement photos and as our wedding photographers / videographers. We went with them because we loved their style and they offered a package for both photo and video. While they might be slightly pricier than other options (still very reasonable), you truly get what you pay for in a team of professionals that go way above and beyond.

Everything was great, from the booking process to engagement photos to our wedding itself to the final product. Our photos are incredible and in the candid style that we loved. Our video highlight reel truly captured the specialness of the venue and our wedding (my mom loves it so much that she watched it 10x in the first 24 hours lol).

Jamie especially went above and beyond during the wedding itself. We had an outdoor wedding reception under a tent. While we were prepared for rain, a tornado warning occurred with a tornado touching down 5 miles away. There was sideways rain with heavy wind. Jamie jumped into action to save our wedding cake. Then, when we were all huddled in the barn (bar) area for shelter, frazzled and wondering what to do next, she kept us on track by suggesting we do the dances / toasts / cake cutting in the barn area to make the best of the situation. This ended up being great because it was much more intimate than under the large reception tent. She turned what could have been a disaster wedding into a fondly memorable experience that we will never forget.

Overall, this was some of the best money we spent on our wedding and a fabulous choice. You can’t go wrong with Mitten Films!

Beautiful Classic Thoughtful

LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!!! They did an amazing job capturing our day in an emotional, artistic, and magical way. I was sad when the moments were over and everyone went home - then I received the videos from Mitten and got to relive it all over again. Absolutely PERFECT Wedding Video Experience

We couldn't have asked for a better videographer! From the moment we hired Mitten Films, we had the pleasure of working with Jamie and Ian Ball. We had a fabulous experience. They were quick to respond to emails, questions and concerns leading up to the wedding and throughout the entire wedding process. They were professional and the video they put together is absolutely stunning.

Since receiving our wedding video we have watched it so many times and we continue to get excited to share it with friends and relatives who haven't yet seen it. It is so good, we selfishly saved it from people we wanted to show it to in person - not a single person we showed it to didn't cry. It is wonderful and we just loved working with these two. We loved getting to work with Jamie and Ian and would recommend them to anyone! Hopefully we have an excuse to work with them again in the future.

Amazing wedding film

We decided at the last minute that we wanted video at our wedding and we hired Jamie at Mitten Films. It was by far the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. Jamie was super friendly and our video is by far the best wedding video I have seen. I loved the concept and the way that she put it all together. Everyone who has seen it has commented how amazing of a video it is. I highly recommend Jamie and Mitten Films.

Choosing Mitten Films for our wedding photos and video may very well have been the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process. Working with Mitten Films was wonderful! Jamie was always extremely responsive, and eager to help us on our videography journey for our wedding. I contacted Jamie less than a month before my wedding after our original videographer bailed. She got back to me super quickly and was very accommodating. On the wedding day she was great, very professional and I really enjoyed that she took a more "in the background" approach, rather than staging scenes to film. The finished product is perfect, we love having all of our speeches and dances recorded but her two highlight films are really the best part. She is a great editor and did a fantastic job compiling our favorite moments from the day.

Hiring Jamie was truly one of the best decision we made! Jamie and her team so perfectly captured the joy, love, and fun of our wedding day. At first my now husband was hesitant to have a videographer at our wedding because he didn't want to feel like he was being followed around. Not once did either of us feel that way - Jamie and team was the perfect balance of blending in when needed and speaking up when she had a super cool vision to live out.

Now on to the fun part - the video. Perfection hardly describes Jamie's work. Nothing about Jamie's work is forced or staged, it is pure, in the moment, bliss. I cry every time I watch our highlight reel. Jamie and team so perfectly captured our day - the laughs, the tears, and all the special little moments in-between. I'm not kidding when I say all the feels is a very real thing with Mitten Films. The best part of it all is watching the little things we did not get to "see" during our day. Jamie and team captured so many unseen special moments and thanks to her we get to relive those every time we watch our video.

Jamie not only rocks at her job, but she is professional, organized, and reliable. On top of that she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met - and any couple is lucky to have her as a vendor. If you are on the fence about hiring a videographer I strongly urge you to go with Jamie - you will not regret your decision!

Jamie did an amazing job capturing our day and special moments. She has a great eye and is super creative. She was incredibly speedy too! We got our video teaser only 2 weeks after our big day and the rest of the video content a week after! The shots were gorgeous and was a great way to re-live our day. I am so happy we made the investment. It's a video I watch every time I am having a rough day and it immediately picks me up!

There were a few things I wish I would have known to specifically ask for prior to her getting us the video (video of some highlights from the reception, video of the bridal party being announced etc.) but that is on me for not reading the details and not asking for them ahead of time. Despite my oversight, Jamie is working with me to get that video as well! Worth every penny!

Jamie and her team were so wonderful to work with!

From the very beginning Jamie was so sweet and very quick to respond. On the day of they were prompt and courteous, and even put up with my crazy family and wedding party! ;) They also worked wonderfully with our photographer which was a huge bonus! Our preview came within a few weeks and our final DVD's came quickly and were so beautifully packaged! :)

I would highly recommend Mitten Films for any videography needs, our video is something we will cherish for a lifetime!

Jamie and her team were amazing! My wife and I live in New York, and the videos Jamie did for us were better than any of the videos our friends ended up with from their fancy nyc videographers. We got the "highlights" video about a week after the wedding and posted it to Facebook. It was so great! Everyone kept asking us who our videographer was, and my wife and I watched it probably about 50 times. The rest of the videos came not much long after on CD's and a USB stick engraved with our name (really nice touch!). I can't say enough good things. The quality of the finished product was amazing and she was so easy to work with.

My husband and I are so happy that we decided to have a videographer at our wedding and are extremely happy we chose Shutter Speed Productions. Our wedding trailer video is phenomenal and everyone that has seen it loves it. Jamie and Ian were very professional and were not obvious at the wedding. A lot of guests including my father, didn't even realize they were there recording. Jamie produced a phenomenal video that my husband and I will treasure for a lifetime. Jamie & Ian were a dream. Words can't express our sincere gratitude to them for capturing the most outstanding moments of our dream wedding. Every single moment in the video made me smile, laugh, of shed a little tear (in a good way of course)! They knew what would be important to us, all the small details that took me months to plan were incorporated into the video or the tailor.

It's truly such a treasure to have such a fine keepsake to have as a priceless memory. I would strongly encourage anyone to book Shutter Speed Productions.. Jamie and Ian were phenomenal! I really enjoyed my wedding day and could hardly even tell that they were there. I am sure they captured all the important moments of my day. They arrived there early to get pre-wedding footage and stayed well past the time we had secured in order to get reception activities such as the garter toss. Ian and Jamie were awesome!!! They really listened to exactly what we wanted and when we changed our minds at the last second they just jumped right in and helped us get the perfect wedding photos and video. Out of all the vendors we used Shutter Speed Production was our favorite. Jamie and Ian took our breathe away with our wedding preview. It was everything we could have ever asked for. Through the whole process they were so helpful and punctual which is exactly what every bride needs especially during the last few weeks when everything seems to get alot more stressful. They kept us updated and in the loop on the status of our video up until the exact delivery. On our wedding day we never had to worry about them capturing the perfect moment because we knew they would. We felt so comfortable and at ease with them and would highly recommend them to anyone who is getting married and needs a videographer!

I would Recommend Shutterspeed to whomever asked. They were great to work wtih and although prior to the wedding the only contact I had with them was through e-mail, they were prompt and put me at ease. I knew that Jamie had everything covered and that they were going to be there and give me everything they promised and they did and more! I hardly knew that they were there. I can't wait to see our final product. We were very excited by our sneak peek video!

P.S. The only reason why we haven't gotten our final video back yet is because I was dragging my feet on getting them our montage photos. Again they did a great job!

Jamie and Ian are an incredible team! Their partnership and dedication to each other shows in their work. We could tell that they take the process of marriage and the celebration very seriously as a couple and in their work. They were prompt, efficient, seamless and hidden. They were there when they needed them, but innately knew when to step back. Their desire to provide a product that they would be happy with each and every time is impressive and committed. I love how they were able to work separately to capture different points of view of the same event.

I would highly recommend them....they are incredible!!

Jamie did a fantastic job of capturing our wedding day from start to end, she was there for every major moment while capturing the meaningful details and essence of the day. They were professional, non-intrusive and created a fabulous wedding DVD- we are lucky enough to re-live the most amazing day of our lives through the video. Great decision to book Shutter Speed, worth every penny!!

Brian and I both HATE videographers that are in the guests’ face asking questions/making them "say something nice to the bride & groom!" As wedding guests, we always ran the other direction when the videographer headed our way. Because of this, we agreed no videographer at our wedding…well, we agreed until October 28th (3 weeks before the wedding!). That’s when I decided I really wanted a videographer.

After researching and contacting a handful of videographers , we decided to hire Jamie at Shutterspeed Productions. From Day 1, Jamie was extremely prompt in her email replies and very accommodating. She had no hesitation or qualms about shooting a wedding that was only 3 weeks away. This was a huge help to us, the last minute planners. And she promised to "be a fly on the wall" at the wedding, much to Brian’s relief.

Because of the short time frame, we didn’t meet or speak to Jamie until the wedding day. This didn’t prove to be a problem at all. She and Ian arrived on time and quickly went to work. They were both very unobtrusive, yet captured events that I didn’t even know were happening!

The final video is perfect…we laughed, we cried, we loved it! I am very glad we chose to book a videographer…and even more glad it was Shutterspeed Productions.

Jamie was awesome! She was very unobtrusive and we never even noticed she was around. My video turned out great, we are so thrilled with it! I thought the turn around time was great too...it only took about 7 weeks to recieve the videos. Her prices are great too...to get the same package with other videographers, I would have paid double what we did. I totally recommend Shutterspeed Productions! :)

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Shutter Speed Productions to video any memory you want to cherish forever. Jamie and Ian caught details we didn't have time to notice. We have watched our video several times already and we've only been married 5 months. Every time we watch it the emotions and the feelings of how special that day was just come out - it is amazing! Shutter Speed Productions was VERY PROFESSIONAL. They not only went above and beyond our expectations with overall quality, responsivness and especially price but they road a bike and captured footage at the same time - up hill! And there was no camera shake! They are truly amazing and we are SO happy we spent the money they were worth every penny and more! After the wedding, Jamie spent extra time working on our photo montage and per our request provided all the raw footage so we have both the edited and out-takes from the day. This was by far one of the best investments we made and to think I was nervous about spending the money - don't be Jamie will not let you down!! Oh and they mic'd the pastor and it was a windy out door wedding and we can hear our vows perfectly - we are very impressed!!! Forever I can watch my vail blow in the wind and hear my husband say I Do! Shutter Speed Productions made it possible - THANK YOU!

Thank you to Jamie and Ian for recording the most wonderful day of our lives! I have just finished putting together my album, and everyone in my family has raved about the quality of the pictures and the unique shots Jamie took. I was thrilled to find that she had taken so many shots of the special details (flowers, my dress, us getting ready, the rings, the aisle, etc.) because those will really help us to remember the special day. I wish I'd had her video my wedding too because I was so happy with the pictures!

Jamie was excellent to work with! Her work is a great quality at an affordable price in comparison to competitors. Worth every penny for capturing our wedding day. We love our DVD - especially the slide show at the beginning! However, and this is a change on our behalf, I wish we would have hired them to shoot the critical moments of the reception, including: introduction, toasts, first dance, cake cutting, etc. Great job!

Jaime is very punctual and responsible, she was on the rehearse the day before to make sure everything was perfect, the day of the event she was on time and we were very pleased with the final product, she even made a slideshow with pictures she took on the day. Loved it!!

Jamie made an incredibly beautiful wedding video for us. I was worried that I would forget all of the small details of our day because it really flew by, but when we received our video back we found that she paid attention for us! The video has all genuine heartfelt moments that most people just pass by, but getting to see them on an amazing video is truly the best. We laughed, we cried, and just smiled watching it. It was like reliving our day over and also getting to see things that even we missed during the wedding day chaos! We get so many compliments on our video and I know we are not the only ones who have watched it more than once!

I would recommend Jamie to anyone looking for an afforable videographer. She was very easy to work with. She got some wonderful, unique shots that I really loved. The only thing that I was disappointed about was not her fault because I did not say anything or even think about it and that was the mics. The camera was set up on the balcony of the church and you could hear everthing in between the alter and the camera. Overall she did a great job.

Jamie is awesome! She has done both mine and my identical twin sister's weddings. For me, she traveled to the metro Detroit area for my big day which was very flexible of her. She also is extremely professional but approachable which made me feel comfortable asking her any questions I had. I would not hesitate to recommend her to others

Jamie was great and affordable. She spent a lot of the day at the wedding. She was very professional, and the shots she got were fantastic. I do wish that she would have arrived earlier to get some of the getting ready shots. I am happy with the final product, but there were a couple things that weren't perfect - the transitions were very obvious, but the music was great and it's an awesome memory to have... without paying a ridiculous price!

I would have appreciated more discussion with the vendor prior to my big day because there were definitely things that were missing in my video that I had requested. I also think discussion should have been conducted during the development of the video so that I could have gotten the best out of it based on my expectations. By the time that I had viewed the tape, it was obviously too late to make any changes. I requested that a mic be placed on my groom and that was not done therefore in my video, voices could barely be heard. I realize time is money however I feel that my money wasn't necessarily well spent in this department for the video that I received. I would have liked to see higher quality and more editing features.

Unfortunately, my husband and I had an issue with this company. Before I go into the details, let me first say that I have no complaints when it came to the highlight product we received from Jamie. It was very well put together and looked great. The "full content" we were provided was the issue. I believe there was some miscommunication between myself and Jamie and I take fault for not asking to speak with her about details over the phone, however, I assumed email was fine. My husband and I were not happy with the final product we received for the amount we paid. We expected to receive more coverage than what was provided to us. At first it was a struggle to get what we wanted after we had already paid for everything but in the end we did receive some additional footage (not great footage but we got it nonetheless). My advice for any videographer you hire, whether it be Mitten Films or someone else, make sure to SPEAK with them either by phone or in person. ASK questions that you as a new bride or groom would not know what to ask...we didn't know what we should have asked for to have in our wedding video as this was the first time we got married. I am not saying to not book with Mitten Films but just be aware of what you may receive if you don't ask the questions needed to get a great wedding video.
