Marissa is amazing!

Marissa is a champion-8 bridesmaids and a bride and she did a killer job on all our makeup. We got so many compliments, and her work is definitely worth the little bit extra, so splurge. You deserve it. I could not have been happier with her work!

Marissa did our daughter wedding at Park Winters recently and as always she is amazing. The first thing you notice is how beautiful Marissa is. The second, she is a real sweetheart. Lastly her work is amazing and she can transform anyone into a beauty queen using their natural beauty.

Five stars is simply not enough! This genuine and talented woman is INCREDIBLE. Her work is flawless and her smile is infectious. I'm not lying when I say that from the moment you meet Marissa you feel as if you are her new best friend. She makes you feel and LOOK exactly the way you want to on your special day. From the trial, to the wedding, to eyebrow appointments, I am never disappointed. In fact, I am always overwhelmed at how incredibly talented this woman is. On the wedding day I asked her to slightly change my look from the original 1st trial, and she didn't even skip a beat! Both times I was amazed at how beautiful she made me feel. I always look forward to our next meeting, and you will too. Book Marissa immediately!! I promise you will not regret it.

Marissa is AMAZING! I actually found her on Instagram when my previous make up artist got booked up fast. She did exactly what I wanted and she really listens to you on what you want. All my bridesmaids looked so beautiful and natural, not too overdone, but still enough make up for gorgeous photos. She really knows how to contour and use colors to bring out nice features.

I first found Marissa's work on Instagram and thought, she does amazing work when I get married I'm defiantly going to be in contact with her to make me look amazing for such a special occasion. Little did I know within months I would be engaged and getting married the following year! Marissa was extremely sweet and so professional from the start! I was so glad I came across her work because she made me look so beautiful on the most important day of my life, my wedding day!! Not only did Marissa do an amazing job she is well educated on makeup products and skin to make sure your makeup last hours, and hours and hours through out the day as well as looking good in pictures! I had such an amazing experience I will probably never stop telling people who did my makeup for my wedding. Go to Marissa she's got you covered !! <3

I was in dire need of a makeup artist for my wedding. I had done two trials with two separate "makeup artists" in town and was not blown away. I could do my makeup better, but I really didn't want to do it the day of my wedding. I came across Marissa on the VICI instagram, she had done the makeup on one of the models. I went to her instagram page to check out her work and was BLOWN AWAY!! I saw that she would travel and I assumed she was relatively close considering VICI is in Walnut Creek. I emailed her, a few times out of desperation, and told her about my horrible experiences etc. She was beyond sweet and we scheduled a trial. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she matched it perfectly! Her professionalism and calm demeanor is so refreshing. She gave me tips on how to hydrate my skin/lips and what to use so my skin would look that much better ( since makeup can only do so much.) What a difference in my skin! Just in 3 weeks my skin was noticeably more hydrated which made my makeup look that much better! All of my bridesmaids were so impressed with her and her obvious talent! I had people looking at my pictures from the wedding asking who did my makeup because they were so impressed! I couldn't have picked a better person or makeup artist to help me and my best girls get ready for the biggest day of my life!
My one friend, and my flower girls mom, was so impressed with her that we both scheduled a makeup lesson after the wedding. We learned so many new tricks! I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing artist and will continue to use her for any major event or when I need a refresher course in some makeup techniques ;)

After I got engaged the very first vendor I booked was my wonderful make-up artist Marissa! I knew right way she was the girl for the job and trust me ladies when I say book her as fast as you can! She is incredible and gets booked out far in advance! Looking and feeling my best on my wedding day was a priority for me which is why I booked her right away. She had become a friend after she had done my eyebrows (which is a specialty of hers and she is amazing). Her talent for make-up is beyond this world and she truly is an artist. It is unreal how she can can highlight your features to bring out your best qualities. She did my make up for both my engagement photos and wedding. Each look was very different and just what I wanted. I had a bridal party of 8 girls and every single girl loved their make-up! Her kit of make up is all great and high end products so remember you pay for quality and believe me when I tell you my make-up lasted all night despite a 100 degree outdoor ceremony. Marissa is one of the sweetest girls I know and her presence was calming and exactly what I needed on my big day. This isn't just a job to her, it's her passion and you can see it in her amazing work. Seriously ladies look no further, this girl is the best you will find!

We decided kind of last minute to move up our elopement, just six weeks to pull everything together! I contacted Marissa because I had seen her work on my FB feed and because she's local. She was able to fit me in for the trial and the wedding morning. She is really sweet and, you can tell, very passionate about her work. Watching her do my make-up was like watching a passionate painter work magic on a canvas! I showed her some pictures that I liked and she was able to give me a very similar look for both the trial and the wedding day. I was super impressed at how long the make-up lasted as well- my make-up was done around 9am and was still looking flawless for dinner at 9pm! I would definitely recommend Marissa and if I have other special events in the future I would definitely book her again.

I was the Matron of Honor in a wedding this past Saturday, Nov. 14th. First and foremost, Marissa showed up RIGHT on time which to me is a HUGE plus! Marissa has an amazing, light-hearted personality and great sense of humor but let's get to the REALLY important stuff; I showed Marissa a picture of what I wanted and she NAILED it!! She also informed me (and I totally get it) that I picked a "realistic" example and that she would be perfectly honest if it wasn't. I really appreciate that. I was absolutely amazed at how much of a transformation she made with me while still keeping it "me". She educated as she applied. I really enjoyed that aspect, as I really don't wear very much makeup at all and don't know a lot about it. My makeup stayed looking fresh a flawless all day and night. It still looked amazing when I got home at 11:30 pm that night and I was the first to be done at 8am!! The makeup looked light and fresh even in the natural light. My eyes have never looked so bright and beautiful! This woman knows her stuff and does an incredible job! I would recommend her highly to any bride-to-be, bride's maid or anyone looking for very special makeup for photos. Thank you, Marissa, for being an absolute professional and total DOLL at the same time.!!

Marissa is really the best of the best! Just minutes into my wedding trial appointment I knew I was booking her for my big day, before someone else stole her from me. I wanted a vintage glam look for my wedding, and Marissa gave me EXACTLY what I was imagining and more. She also did all my bridesmaids and moms make up as well. Everyone looked FLAWLESS! Marissa customized each girls eye shadow and lipstick to not only look good with their dresses but she picked colors that worked well with there individual features. and skin tones. I am so impressed with my whole experience with Marissa, that I now continue to see her as my make up artist , as well as other services she offers. I have referred all my friends to her and basically anyone who tell me they are getting married gets her contact info! She is just so wonderful at what she does, you will not be disappointed!

marissa is an artist at what she does. She transforms your best features to stand so bright and her amazing personality and sweetness just make the experience so enjoyable. She's one of the nicest people I have ever met, and she's BEYOND STUNNING! She is a NEED at anyone's wedding. Marissa is doing my makeup and bridal party makeup for my wedding next year. I found her through Instagram and thought I have to have her do my bridal makeup! I can not say enough good things about her. She is super friendly and sweet, the products she uses are top notch, and her creativity and knowledge about the beauty industry are out of this world. It is hard to find someone who really knows how to contour and is up to date on beauty trends, and she is above the curve. After my trial I was speechless, I looked like myself, just in supermodel form! If you want to look and feel amazing for your wedding or special occasion I highly recommend Miss Mariss Artistry!

Marissa did my bridal makeup trial. She is just the sweetest person ever! She has extreme professionalism but at the same time she makes you feel very comfortable with everything she is doing. I gave her a few guidelines as to what I wanted but also let her do what she thought would look best. Not only did she stay perfectly well within the guidelines I gave her but she used her skill and creativity to take my makeup beyond even what I could have imagined! She made me feel and look so beautiful! My eyes were very distinct and their blue color was popping with her shadow color choices! I looked very natural and still like myself, but a wayyyyy more stunning version of myself! I could not be more happy with the makeup Marissa did for me and am so excited to use her for my wedding day! She's truly a pro at what she does and deserves all the praise in the world for how good she is at what she does! Thanks Marissa for making me feel so great about my wedding look!!

She did an amazing job, I've never had my make up done before, but she explained everything she was going to do. She started with light colors and worked up to a beautiful dark red eye! I'm in love with Her work super sweet lady!! Defiantly will be working with her for future events and so she can fix my eyebrows!! :) I love the way I look she made me feel beautiful!

I had the pleasure of getting my make-up done by Marissa for a friend's wedding in October. She was a delight to work with! She made all of us, 6 girls and the brides mother, look amazing. If ever a make-up need arises in the future I will be sure to call her. Marissa did the make-up for my wedding this past fall. I had a wonderful experience with her she was very professional but also very fun and did an excellent job on my make-up along with my six bridesmaids and my mom. We all loved our make-up and the before and after pictures were shocking!! I was so glad to have choose her to be part of the day everything went smoothly and everybody looked great!! Marissa is simply amazing! Not only will she leave you feeling beautiful but she is super sweet and easy to work with. I had her do my make up for a good friends wedding. I can't say enough about how thrilled I am to have found Miss Mariss Artistry for all of my special occasions, photo shoots & video spots. As Mrs. California Global Nations 2014 & correspondent for VinceCentral TV as well as Access 27 I love having a professional "go to" Make up Artist who always gets it right! From early morning shoots, outside events & even multiple events on the same day she makes sure I look "flawless" not overdone & does it in a timely manner. I'm a little sad my secret is out :) but she's the best & doesn't everyone deserve to feel and look their best?

Marissa is the most talented make-up artist I have ever worked with. I was blessed to book with her for my wedding. She did my makeup and my bridesmaids and each and every one of us were blown away by her talent. Her work was amazing. My make-up was flawless, I felt and looked stunning, and it stayed without touch up for over 12 hours. I can't say enough about how happy I was with my make-up and how gorgeous my bridesmaids looked. Marissa did my makeup for a special occasion. I cannot speak more highly of her. She was really helpful as we were discussing options for different makeup looks for the special event. She had a lot of great input and ideas, and really just made everything so EASY. She was very professional, patient, and low stress. She had a very relaxed, vibe, and I've never felt more beautiful. I received non stop compliments from early morning to night. You can not go wrong with Marissa. She is a beautifully talented individual who will bring your vision to life. My makeup did not budge the whole day, let's be real this woman has skills!!!! I definitely would recommend her for any occasion. Thank you Marissa!!!!

Marissa was recommended to me through a friend of mine and she was amazing. She is not only a sweet person, but extremely talented. I looked like a goddess on my wedding day and my wedding photos were so beautiful! She set the tone for the wedding and made me and my bridesmaids look and feel gorgeous. As a person who doesn't usually wear a lot of make up, she was very patient and helpful when deciding the final look. Thank you Marissa! I was absolutely thrilled with the services provided by Marissa! I asked her to do my make up super last minute for a wedding and she bent over backwards for me. My appointment was at 7am and after a night of crying, dancing, and a ton of photos, my make up still looked fresh at 10 o'clock at night. I will defenitly go to her for make make over needs in the future!

DO NOT USE Mariss Artistry Beauty and Health - Unsanitary

Met my daughter at the studio to have a trial done at the studio in Dixon. When I arrived I needed to use the restroom. I was greeted with a very large trash bin overflowing, toilet that looked as if it hadn’t been scrubbed for a year, there was black mold in the toilet. Where’s the sanitary right? Then inside her studio the large trash bin was full to the top. But wait…this is the best yet…my daughter wanted to try different foundations and her attitude was..you have to decide on one or come back for another trial for $185.00. So my daughter was good with that. I paid her $750.00 just for the trail. The next day she gets in touch with my daughter and cancelled the contract. HERE IS THE KICKER TO IT……SHE DIDNT REFUND ANY OF THE $750.00 I had paid her the day before. OMG I can’t even begin to tell you how well that set with me. What she does is set appts, does the trial and cancels the contract the very next day. I have never written a review in my life (I’m 66 yrs young) but I had to let EVERY BRIDE to be AWARE of how she does business. I can’t believe this happened.DO NOT MAKE ANY APPOINTMENT WITH HER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Unbelievable.
