Mintahoe made our wedding unforgettable

We used Mintahoe Catering for our wedding, and they were absolutely incredible from start to finish. The food was unbelievable, we’re still getting compliments from our guests months later! Everything was beautifully presented, perfectly timed, and so delicious.

Beyond that, the team was a dream to work with. Tammy and everyone at Mintahoe were so kind, organized, and attentive to every detail. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but they made the process feel so easy and enjoyable.

Definitely Coming back Here

We had the pleasure of working with Mintahoe Catering & Events for our recent event at Nicollet Island Pavilion, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! Gabriella, our sales rep, was an absolute gem to work with. She was responsive, accommodating, and really took the time to understand our vision. Her expertise and attention to detail made the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable.

On the day of the event, everything was executed flawlessly. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it! The staff was attentive, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Mintahoe Catering & Events at Solar Arts

We had a great experience working with Mintahoe Catering & Events for our wedding! One of their venues we initially wanted to look at was going to be way out of our budget, Mintahoe offered other options within our budget and we ended up going with and loving the Solar Arts building in NE Minneapolis. It was such a great space! Mintahoe was helpful, responsive, professional, and fun to work with throughout the entire process. I loved having a venue/catering company that included everything (food, bar service, tableware etc). It made the planning process so much easier. We got lots of compliments on the food and everyone loved our bartender and the staff!

Overall good experience for having to use a company exclusively contracted by our venue.

I will start my review by saying I had to choose Mintahoe because they are contracted by the venue I chose - the Van Dusen Mansion.

Morgan was absolutely wonderful to work with, nothing but great things to say about her - very responsive, friendly, understanding, accommodating.

We had to have the champagne and beer ordered ahead of time for the bridal suite and club room while getting ready - you can’t bring any of your own alcohol at any time during the day (this wasn’t an issue, however it’s just more expensive to have to buy theirs).

I was happy with the food, I didn’t receive any complaints from my guests about this. The sea bass was the meal I ordered and it they cooked this perfectly (very easy to overdo this dish).
The wine during dinner could’ve been better, however I do enjoy more expensive wines so I wasn’t expecting top tier wines to be served anyway.
I can’t comment on the bartending portion of their service myself because I was too busy (I’m the bride) during the day and I barely had anything to drink and never visited the bar.
Several of guests reported a few things about the bar tenders for the evening that they thought was worth mentioning to me after the wedding, however I did not experience it myself so I can’t comment on that.
Unsure if the late night pizza was good or not - I didn’t get to try it, but we had that option for our guests.
The desert table looked great! I also was clearly too busy to try this, but the venue attendants were nice enough to pack up the extra deserts and send that home with me at the end of the night! (I had the tres leches tulip cups for breakfast the following morning and they were delightful!)

They are an expensive company, they had price changes which is understandable, but were accommodating for the extra things I wanted (signatures drinks, imported Ting, outsourced cake, champagne wall). Budget wasn’t an issue for us, but had it been, I may have had to chose another company/venue.

We had 4 entrees, 4 butler passed hors d’oeuvres, table side wine pours during dinner service, 2 signature drinks & imported NA soda, 3 desert options, late night pizza, a champagne wall, and we selected the complete premium bar package. I would say all of went smoothly from what I heard - I just wish I would’ve had time/been able to experience/try all the things we paid for! The chef/team made sure we had a plate of hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table for dinner so we could try them, which I was pleasantly surprised by when I sat down!
The signature drink of mine (espresso martini) apparently was a huge hit - I wish I would’ve ordered more to start (I had no idea 50 of them would be finished during the cocktail hour alone!).

Overall a great experience for a company that I didn’t have an option to choose from due to a venue I signed a contract with.

They handled a several thousand dollar award reception at MNHC and were AMAZING.

I hate to say that they were “ghosts” but they were and amazingly so. Food and drink appeared, board of regents members were delighted and everything was seamless. They are great.

Highly professional and easy to work with!

The Mintahoe team was very professional, responsive, and well-organized throughout the entire process. They helped make the planning much easier because they were so well-organized and clearly communicated everything (including expectations, timelines, payments, etc.). The food was also fantastic; they offer a large variety of selections (and delicious vegan and vegetarian options, which is often hard to find), and work hard to customize to dietary preferences and restrictions. We received numerous compliments about the food on our wedding day!

I am so thankful we went with Minetahoe!

Throughout the planning process of our wedding, Morgan and Carrie were incredible. They were so patient with our indecisiveness and helped inform us of all of our options. Carrie knew the ins/outs of our wedding down to decor and timing which was so helpful. We met and talked frequently going back and forth about details. I felt so great going into the wedding day knowing every detail was covered. They are very accommodating with guests dietary restrictions - way more than I guessed or expected out of them! The staff were so friendly the day of and the food was AMAZING! We had tableside service which I could not recommend more. The staff were professional and accommodating. I am so glad we had Mintahoe Catering for our wedding - I couldn't have imagined it any other way.

Great service

Mintahoe is very organized and easy to work with. They reach out to you when it's time to complete each step like tastings and setting menus and payments are very easy and on a schedule so you don't have to pay for everything up front. They have lots of options and are very thorough. One big thing we were concerned with was that we had a lot of guests with allergies and dietary restrictions and we wanted everyone to be included. Mintahoe made us feel confident that all of our guests would be taken care of and given multiple options. They also accommodated a last minute change to the table settings (like the day night before the wedding last minute) which just highlights their top tier service.

100% worth the money!

We had to use Mintahoe for our catering with our wedding at A’bulae and we are so glad! We worked with Carrie throughout the whole planning process and she was EXTREMELY accommodating and did everything she could to make our dreams come true. She made sure everything was complete and we were ready to go for our day. We really felt ready and besides normal nerves, we weren’t worried about anything! The food was great and the staff was so amazing the day of the wedding! Our day went perfectly and can’t thank Mintahoe enough!!

Professional, flexible, and customizes their wedding to fit you and your special day.

Working with Sydney at Mintahoe was a pleasure! They made sure my wedding went smoothly even when it was interrupted by COVID. My wedding date was scheduled a few days after the mandate when all businesses were closed; however, Mintahoe kept our contract and plans in place for the following year. Sydney was very helpful in ensuring I got what I wanted. We had a value pack for our wedding which was very helpful. Our venue was in Oakdale and it was huge and beautiful. The entire menu and cake was deliciously made by Mintahoe's own chef. All my guests loved the cake and all the food was definitely finished by the end of the event. I definitely would recommend Sydney to anyone having their event at Inwood Oaks.

Absolutely wonderful Elsie was amazing!

Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not an easy task and Elsie at Mintahoe was absolutely wonderful. She met with us regularly was super flexible, knowledgeable and helpful. She was like a family friend she really seemed to understand our vision and what we wanted for our special wedding day. She was so approachable and nice to work with and did whatever she could to help make us happy! The only issue we had the day of was our bartender was a bit crabby a few people mentioned it after the fact.

Great Wedding Vendor

Mintahoe was a great caterer for my wedding. The sales person we had (Emily) walked us through every aspect of our wedding and helped us write up a very detailed timeline for our event. We were able to share this timeline directly with our other vendors so everyone was on the same page! Also, Emily was able to clearly explain our meal and drink options and my wife and I were able to pick the best options for us and our guest.

Above and Beyond

I was very impressed with Mintahoe and highly recommend them! Erin did such an amazing job doubling as our Day of Coordinator for our wedding on August 15th at Leopold's Mississippi Gardens - it turned out even better than I imagined! She is very organized and detail-oriented, which made it super easy/stress-free to plan a wedding while out of state (even during COVID). She was so responsive and flexible during the pandemic - she kept us updated on the changing requirements and the corresponding adjustments they were making to allow us to celebrate safely. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly - our guests commented on how impressed they were. Erin went above and beyond to ensure our day went perfectly - she always set up time for us to come on-site and talk through things/see things in person whenever we were in town visiting. She even set up a private tasting for us at Leopold's to try out a few dessert options we were debating between. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without her - she took care of all the little details and kept everything moving smoothly, all while maintaining a positive/energetic attitude that was contagious. Couldn't be happier with our day!

Hire them.

Absolutely wonderful service and food. Planning a wedding during the height of Covid has been awful, but they helped us get through everything. The food was great and the tasting was great. Awesome staff and planning committee.

Helpful, Flexible and Delicious

Sydney and the Mintahoe team were so great to work with! The tasting was a great opportunity to see and taste a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Highly Recommend!!

We had our wedding at Nicollet Island Pavillion and it was a total blast. Gabriella and Emily (Mintahoe staff) are incredible to work with. They are super helpful, flexible, and just lovely people. The venue was beautiful, food was good, and it's right on the Mississippi river with a view of downtown. I highly recommend this venue!

Best Decision

Mintahoe’s tasting was a ton of fun and the food was great! It’s tough making large quantities of food without the meat being dry, veggies soggy and everything still hot! Mintahoe catering did a wonderful job in making sure all three of these things did not happen.
I can’t imagine being married anywhere other than Leopold’s. The staff made me feel as if I had my own personal wedding planner. The space is romantic, whimsical, and perfectly designed for such a special and important event in your life. I burst into tears at our first visit to tour the location and am actually tearing up writing this review. I am so happy we chose this beautiful establishment to become husband and wife.

Mintahoe made our wedding better than we could have hoped for!

Mintahoe Catering

Mintahoe was great to work with. At first only having them as an option I was concerned but they were amazing. The food turned out great and was better than I expected. My only complaint is that the bartenders were not very friendly to our guests or us when it came to getting drinks during the evening. They were not very understanding on the open bar. Other than that, everything went great and Denise was amazing to work with and made sure everything I wanted happened!

Great staff, great venue

Nicollet Island Pavilion was an incredible venue and if we had to do it over we would get married there again in a heartbeat. We looked at ~20 venues around the city and couldn’t find anything that could compare in terms of size, city view, on the water, etc…The price was competitive with all other similar sized downtown venues.

Gabriella Panebianco took over as the main point of contact for us a few months from our wedding. She quickly brought herself up to speed and was incredibly professional and patient throughout the process. We had several last minute changes/questions the week of the wedding and she was completely accessible and handled all inquiries promptly.
We did not hire a day of coordinator, nor did we need to. Gabriella was present on wedding day through dinner and provided a calming presence and made sure everything flowed correctly.
The entire staff on site was incredibly kind to us and our guests. In particular, Steve the bartender went out of his way to take care of both of our parents all night.

Bottom line, awesome place to get married and awesome people to work with.

Catering at Leopolds

Everyone has had the classic wedding dish, and most have forgotten about it after but Mintahoe will make sure that your wedding isn't like the rest. We had Mintahoe at Leopold's Mississippi Garden and Erin and her team crushed it. Erin was incredible, she worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. She went beyond just handling the food and we really couldn't have asked for a better partner to coordinate with. Mintahoe is a large caterer but when talking to Erin she make it personal and even worked on getting us a small cake for us to cut. I would recommend Mintahoe to any couple but it is a must if you were to get to work with Erin Hedges and her team at Leopolds Mississippi Gardens.

Gabriella was awesome at NIP

I had the opportunity of coordinating a client's wedding at the Nicollet Island Pavillion and I must confess that I worked with the best site coordinator. GABRIELLA PANEBIANCO was amazing to work with. She went over and beyond to make the event a success. The food was delicious and the ambience was great. Extraordinary Experience

Where do I begin?!?! Working with the team at Mintahoe was a dream. My husband and I live out of state (he is from the Twin Cities area) and I had no idea how to begin our wedding planning. Upon my initial consultation, Tracy and her team made me feel at ease. I loved how everything was on-site at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. I knew the venue was gorgeous, but seeing it in person was everything I could hope for. Gabriella joined my planning team two months before our wedding and we were in constant contact the entire time (again, we were out of state!). Even with a minor last minute hiccup (on my part), Gabriella was there to support me and find a solution. I cannot overstate how integral she was to ensure everything ran smoothly. Our wedding was magical, the food was phenomenal, and our guests continue to rave about it today! Thank you, Gabriella, Emily, Tracy, and Mintahoe for providing us and our guests an extraordinary evening!

So many food and drink compliments!

I will say, I was a little bit nervous when it was announced that the cater we had booked "Envision" had merged with Mintahoe. However, our coordinator Courtney made sure everything transferred seamlessly and the food was just as delicious as during the tasting event. We went with a chef carving station and received so many compliments on how delicious the food was. Coincidentally, we had already booked Mintahoe for our libations before the merge so we were able to merge both services. The drink selection and package options were honestly the best value we could find. The two of us are very much craft beer drinkers, and we felt we provided the best options without breaking the bank.

Great communication and easy to work with

Tracy McCarthy was so good to work with! Communication was excellent. All items that needed discussion, clarification, or changes were done with ease. Tracy provided all wedding organizing we needed during the event. The event staff were warm and welcoming to all or guest, including treating the children like little adults. They were thrilled.

Surpassed expectations!

We hired Mintahoe to cater our wedding at A’bulae on February 17, 2019. Beginning with the planning meeting with Denise and all the subsequent emails and phone calls to get questions answered, we were very happy with the service! They have everything covered from snacks throughout the day in the bridal suite while we were getting ready to food for our vendors throughout the evening, and then of course all the details for the wedding, including little things that you just wouldn’t think of. And the food was EXCEPTIONAL! We were so busy we decided to opt out of the food tasting, make our selections from the menus provided and just hope for the best. The food surpassed our expectations. We loved our meals and heard from everyone that the food was delicious. The staff was also very attentive and friendly!

We highly recommend Mintahoe for any event you plan to have catered! Thank you Mintahoe for helping to make our wedding so memorable!

Best day ever!

Minntahoe was fantastic throughout our entire planning period and the day of our wedding. We got married at Mississippi Gardens and they made the entire day absolutely fantastic! We are incredibly happy with Mintahoe! First, Mary Jo was phenomenal! So helpful throughout our experience and was even there herself the night of. You absolutely have to get the beef tenderloin! It was ridiculously good. Honestly everything was delicious which can be really difficult to do when you are cooking for 180 people! The staff was great too!

Denise was excellent in walking us through all the planning steps and giving us great options and advice for making the day and timeline smooth and effective. We planned a celebration of life at the Inwood Oaks location - we did it on short notice and with a tight budget and it couldn't have turned out more meaningful. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious, and they were very accommodating to all of our needs. They understood that due to our circumstances we didn't have a lot of time and needed answers quickly and not everything would be planned out perfectly and we would need to finalize some things on the fly. The entire family is very grateful for their support and ensuring the celebration of life turned out beautiful and a meaningful time for all.

Mintahoe was the caterer for our wedding at Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens. Erin was our main point of contact and she did an outstanding job! She was always on top of planning, from food to day of timelines. Whenever we had random questions she was always available and quick to respond back. The day of, Erin did a great job coordinating the day and kept everything working in a timely manner. The food was exactly what we had asked for and tasted wonderful! Our favorite was the Butternut Squash Ravioli! In addition, the “Captain”, Raul, was incredible to work with! He had a smile on all day and had a demeanor to him that kept us calm and assured that he has everything under control. The bartenders, Stacy and Steve, were also wonderful! They always made sure my husband and I had a drink in our hand and were very personable! Overall, Mintahoe did an outstanding job and all of the staff were friendly and happy to be apart of our day! The staff is a well oiled machine. Mary Jo makes it so easy to organize everything ahead of time so that when you wake up on your wedding day, all you have to do is show up. They take care of everything as promised and it is worth the cost. Our day was perfect, and of course the food is delicious.

Mary Jo was one of my favorite people to work with during the entire wedding planning process because she responded to emails promptly, was really patient in answering my questions, and really helped us figure out what our wedding day would look like. I appreciated her consistency throughout the entire process - it was nice seeing a familiar face and she helped our vision truly come to life. On the day of the wedding, everything turned out better than we had imagined it - from the cake presentation to cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres to dinner, it was all great! We had our wedding at A'bulae in September and received so many compliments on the food and service (still to this day). I had read some reviews complaining on the price, but you get what you pay for. They had so many options for food choices, and the tasting was a great way to help narrow it down.Appetizers were great, and the staff even put some at the head table since we didn't get the chance to have any during social hour due to pictures. Extremely impressed with how fast the food comes out for all, and that people aren't sitting without food while others are done. Very professional and friendly staff. Denise was quick to respond to all emails and happy to help whenever needed. Highly recommend using this company for any catering needs!

We held our wedding at the Garden Room of Eden Prairie on 8-19-17, and Mintahoe was in charge of the event and catering. Heather was wonderful with coordinating the whole day and making our requests happen! She was a great source, and even though I didn't have a wedding planner, Heather made me feel as if I had one! Tyler was in charge of the food and venue on the wedding day. He and his staff were so helpful and friendly! The whole event was so enjoyable and stress free. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend Mintahoe and the Minnesota Boat Club to anyone looking for a more intimate event. We ended up with around 100 guests and the space was a perfect fit. We had so many compliments on the food and questions about how we found such a beautiful venue. Katie was our coordinator, and I can’t say enough good things about her! She was very patient and happy to help with all of my last minute questions. I only saw her a few times during our wedding day but I know she was there during setup and stayed through dessert, and she had some very sweet comments for us after our wedding. They made the venue and catering part of planning very easy!

Mintahoe was very professional and accommodating from day one for our ceremony on Raspberry Island and reception at the Minnesota Boat club. Our main contacts (Lindsay and Katie) were readily available for skype and in-person meetings and promptly updated our proposal after each meeting. They were very understanding of the specifics we wanted and helped us to obtain permits for Raspberry Island without us needing to ask, and they also were very helpful in recommending other vendors/decorative ideas but still keeping cost in mind. Katie also did a fantastic job on the day of the wedding helping set up the venues and coordinating with other vendors.

Both my husband and I were not able to make it to the food tasting, but both of our parents thought the food and atmosphere of the tasting were excellent. We had the grilled sea bass and beef tenderloin as our entrees. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and received SO many compliments from our guests on how delicious the sheet cakes were.

I would most definitely recommend Mintahoe catering, and I would also recommend Raspberry Island and Minnesota Boat Club as ceremony/reception venues!

They are amazing! Erin was so helpful, I am young and had no clue what to do or really anything for that fact, but she helped us all the way through everything! And the food is amazing! we are still getting compliments on our menu, we did a pig roast, everyone said everything was delicious and that it had to be alot of money. But they are fair priced and worth every penny we spent. Coming from someone who doesn't like cake, the cake we had made me want seconds!

Everything about Mintahoe was amazing. Krista, our Sales Consultant, acted so much more like a wedding planner than our caterer. She was unbelievably responsive, helpful, and accommodating. The food was so incredibly good (still getting compliments weeks later from our guests) and although feeding hundreds of people can be expensive, Krista was so great at helping us be smart with our budget instead of trying to nickle and dime each request. We went with buffet style hors d'oeuvres, family style meal, a small 6" bride groom cake for us, cheesecake desserts for the guests, a champagne pour for toasts, and pre-paid some adult beverages. Not only did Krista work with all our vendors (DJ, Photo Station, Venue, etc.) to ensure everyone was tracking the same flow of events, she worked and reworked our floor plan and accommodated high chairs for the kiddos. Our wedding was such a fairy-tale because of her attention to detail and her diligence. Thank you Krista! I would highly recommend Mintahoe to anyone who gets to work with her :)

We would highly recommend The Prom Center and Prom Catering. First off Kelsey Muller was amazing!! She answered every question we had and was VERY prompt on getting back to us. Planning a wedding is very stressful and she did a great job helping to take some of that stress away. The staff was amazing as well and kept us very informed throughout the entire night with how things were going. The food was absolutely amazing, we had so many compliments on how delicious it was!

By far the easiest vendor I have ever worked with. They were professional, organized, proactive and honest in communication. They did whatever they could to work with my fiance and I to achieve a plan that worked for everyone. Erin Wade was such a pleasure to work with during our wedding planning process! From our initial email a year before our wedding, to all the back and forth proposal modifications, Erin was responsive and professional. I worked with Julie Teran and she was incredible!! Her customer service went above and beyond. She listened and accommodated to my catering needs and was a true pleasure to work with. And the food... Prom is the best! The food is amazing, the staff is very attentive, friendly and professional. There is always way more food than you need so no one goes away hungry. They decorated our buffet tables so beautifully and ordered an ice sculpture with our company logo. We have used Prom for many years and it is always an amazing event!

The Prom Center staff is phenomenal.!!! I have experienced the Prom Center in the past, and the food, service and staff were great. It was the perfect place for the wedding and reception/dinner/dance. The suggestions for back drops for the wedding was wonderful. They helped us find a florist and also got us a small cake just for our table .
A hotel is located right next door so that convenience was perfect for family coming in to town .

The food was EXCELLENT! Service was 5 STAR. They took such good care of us that we don't even know if anything went wrong. If it did, it was dealt with without having to disturb our evening. We had many compliments on how great the food was.

We worked with Erin Wade of Mintahoe Catering and had a wonderful experience. Erin helped us stay within our budget and provided us with many cost saving ideas when we needed them. We never felt pressured to spend more than our budget allowed. Our event went off without any problems and had there been any, I knew Erin would be available to help. We had a few more guests show up then planned, and Erin was the first one getting more chairs for the guests to sit on. We had a wonderful evening and much of it was due to Erin Wade and Mintahoe.

Hands down, the best vendor for our wedding. We worked with Erin, who, I can basically call a friend now. She answered every email within minutes, made a special, early trip to our space to drop off linens and the food--A-MAZ-ING! Real food that I would eat in my own home, that tastes good and looks better!

We had amazing waitstaff during our event and the chef/baker catered to us on some special desserts we wanted. They delivered on every level. I would choose them again in a second, for ANY occasion.

I worked with Elizabeth at Mintahoe for our reception at the Van Dusen mansion and she was awesome to work with. She was so responsive and made me feel really at ease. When we couldn't make it to our cake tasting last minute because we got sick, Elizabeth hand delivered our cake to our apartment for us to try! We went to several caterers who did not seem to care about our business; we were just another client, no one special. From the moment we contacted the Prom Catering service until the end of our wedding event Prom Catering was outstanding and treated us as if our wedding was the only one happening at the time!
Everyone at the wedding commented on how delicious the food was and how the service was fantastic! Our wedding guests said they had never tasted wedding food so delicious. There was also a lot of food and all guests commented on how stuffed they were.
Amy Carter was our event planner and her co-worker Sarah also ensured a success wedding! They were so easy to work with, our initial quote and final bill were the same and they went out of their way to make sure we didn't have a lot of extra work to do. I don't think I can say enough great things about Prom Catering! From start to finish it far exceeded our expectations!

Prom Center made the wedding process so easy for a bride with a large wedding. Prom center incorporates all catering/bar services and makes a brides job much easier with skilled event planners on site to keep you on track. The guests raved about the food and service of the staff at Prom Center. Prom Center's staff even set up all my decorations for me! What a relief that was. Prom Center also has connections in the Twin Cities area with many local vendors and will point you to the best of the best.

Mintahoe catered our wedding at the Van Dusen Mansion and delivered absolutely perfect service! Our coordinator, Elizabeth, was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. She was very patient with us and quickly returned all e-mails. At the wedding, our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was and everyone told us the service was excellent. Mintahoe provided the food for our wedding at the Van Dusen Mansion. It was delicious! They also made an amazing chocolate wedding cake, and let us serve Grain Belt instead of Michelob at the reception. I was recently married at the Van Dusen and Mintahoe was the cater for our reception. We had an amazing experience and the food was delicious. We had appetizers and then a plated dinner followed by cupcakes for dessert. Everyone was talking about how delicious the food was and people still comment to me on how much they loved the cupcakes. My father is quite picky and has very specific taste and he could not have been more happy with the service and the quality provided by Mintahoe. On top of the delicious food, Mintahoe is very organized and eager to help and make the experience perfect and stress free.

Mintahoe Catering and Events were so great to work with! From the first call to set up a meeting to the wedding day I never had one regret of using Mintahoe. They were so easy to work with and made sure we were always on track to meet our deadlines. I would email Elizabeth our event coordinator through Mintahoe and she would always email me back the same day. I truly felt like I was working with a friend and not a catering company. They let me plan my wedding the way I wanted it to be done. I will miss not working with Mintahoe and Elizabeth. On my wedding day I remember telling Elizabeth.... "I feel like planning a wedding shouldn't have been this easy and fun". That's is a priceless feeling during something that could be so stressful. I would recommend Mintahoe to ANYONE!! Mintahoe was a great caterer! We worked with Elizabeth and she was FANTASTIC! The food tasted great and we had the option of buffet, plated, or family style. Elizabeth walked us through everything on the contract and we had a great time at the tasting event Mintahoe held.

We got MORE than our money's worth!!! Elizabeth at Mintahoe made every step of planning easy and virtually stress free. We received many outstanding complements on the food from our guests and the venue (St. Croix National Golf Course) was heavenly. The staff there was accommodating as well. We went there a few times before the wedding for various reasons and the staff was always friendly and helpful. They let us take the golf carts out too to show my parents and my husband the site! SOOO FUN!!! Elizabeth answered every question I had promptly and was so agreeable with every idea I had. She also had great ideas herself because she is so experienced which made our planning process a cinch. The ceremony on site was beautiful and I felt so confident about everything because of Elizabeth, Mintahoe, and the venue itself. It was the best wedding I have ever gone to (and it was my own!). I still get happy butterflies in my stomach when I think about how well our wedding day went from start to finish.
I also recommend DJ Anthony from Instant Request. He was by far the best DJ ever and our dance floor was packed all night long. Our guests are still talking about how great he and the music was.
I had so much fun thanks to the all around incredible customer service and venue:)

Everything was delicious! They had a variety of options for our meal. The tasting was very helpful as we were able to try a variety of options and give feedback right away to help guide our event planning. We received many compliments from our guests on the quality of our meal and professionalism of the staff. We had a plated meal and the service was flawless.

Julie bends over backwards to make sure everything is in place. The staff arrived with ample time to set up and put me, bride, at ease. Also, the tasting was free and open to my fiance, mom and mother-in-law to be.

Prom was an AWESOME caterer! They were one of three caterers available for the venue we chose, and the only one who was licensed to serve alcohol at that location. But what really impressed us about Prom is the first tasting we went to. We expected to try a few things and head to dinner later that night with our family, but instead we were treated to a spread of some of Prom's most popular wedding meal options - and these were very generous servings! The food was great, our contact (Amy Carter) was really wonderful to work with, and we changed our mind on the menu about three times before coming to a final conclusion. Throughout the process Prom was a wonderful partner - we even ended up with a refund from them at the end of it all. The food is great, too - they have LOTS of options apart from the standard "wedding food." Try the Blueberry Beef Tenderloin with Blueberry Au Jus - very impressive. We also had the Chicken Roulade (also called Minnesota Chicken) - our guests seemed really pleased.

Catering and reception was at Nicollet Island Pavilion (Minneapolis), catered by Mintahoe. We worked with Erika as she was my shadow through the whole process. Working in the event industry I was worried that everything would go according to plan. Erika and team was on top of it and one step ahead. They worked with us to make our dream come alive and I will always be thankful for that. Everyone had a awesome time and is still talking about it. The food was one of the top 5 items that we wanted to stick out and everyone went up for seconds and thirds. Hot, delicious, and very well presented. The venue is extremely beautiful and continued to get more beautiful as the night went on. The staff was so nice and friendly throughout the whole night and catered to our every need. Erika really looked after us the day of the wedding, kept us calm and relaxed while she helped us throught the process and made sure it went according to plan. Was concerned about the security being there, especially with my group, but dont be. Didnt even noticed they were there and they were very nice (the bride actually didnt even notice them at all) and everything was awesome. We were on a pretty tight budget and had alot we wanted to put in, but thanks to Erika and her knowledge of what will work, everyone will love, and love for what she does she made all our dreams come to life. Catering and reception (i.e. not the ceremony) was at Nicollet Island Pavilion (Minneapolis), catered by Mintahoe. We worked with Erika who was on top of every detail! She helped us plan food accordingly, coordinate with other vendors, answered ALL our questions in a VERY timely manner, and followed through with everything we discussed. She was outstanding to work with, personable and professional. She made the entire evening one to remember forever.
The food, by Mintahoe, was excellent, delivered HOT and to everyone at the same time (we did employ extra staff for this to happen, and they did a great job). Also, the desserts were the talk of the evening! We easily could have gotten the wedding cake through them as well, but had, earlier, seen a cake design that we'd fallen in love with at another bakery. However, their cakes (we'd had at the taste-testing) were very good as well.
(The only surprise we had was our first taste testing-of main courses and appetizers- where we found the food to be very disappointing. We almost changed venues, but they re-did it for us, with emphasis on presentation as well. We were SO pleased the second time, and trying all the desserts was an experience in itself!! I DO think they should have their food tasting AT the venues where they will be served, and plated to show presentation rather than samples on separate plates.)
