The BEST decision we made!

Working with Lilli and her team was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Lilli is the most talented, creative, and detail-oriented person we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. On top of that, the entire Mimosa team is so kind and fun to work with. From the start, Lilli approached her work with incredible care. She really invested in understanding our style as a couple and the look and feeling we wanted for our wedding – she totally “got us”. Together we narrowed in on our overall design concept and key floral / décor moments that would bring our vision to life in the most eco-friendly way possible (all while supporting local floral farmers). From small decorative elements to more significant “wow” moments, Lilli thought through every single detail. She went above and beyond, even weighing in on rentals and linens to ensure our design was cohesive throughout. The end result was a real reflection of the team’s passion for what they do and their insane level of talent. They completely transformed our venue into an otherworldly dreamland that far surpassed all expectations. Our guests were in awe and are still talking about how stunning our wedding was a month later. We can't overstate how lucky we feel to have worked with Lilli and are forever grateful to her and the entire Mimosa team for making our wedding more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. We cannot recommend them enough!

Unbelievably Beautiful

Our experience with Lilli and her team was incredible from start to finish. Their level of talent was unbelievable. We wanted tree installation for our ceremony and what they created for us was absolutely stunning. I was so blown away by how they took my vision and created something way more beautiful than I had imagined. Walking into our ceremony space truly felt like stepping into a fairytale, and I heard that guests were gasping when they entered the space. Even with the over the top installation, Lilli was still able to come up with options for the rest of the florals so I could stay within my budget. On top of the over the top ceremony space, all of the arrangements on the bars, bouquets, and table arrangements were absolutely beautiful. Everything tied together perfectly and you could really see the amount of attention and care that was put into each aspect. It was such a huge relief to find a florist who could take my ideas and create something beyond what I was even thinking, and still work with my budget. I could not be happier with my experience with them and will be recommending Mimosa Floral to EVERYONE.

Beautiful Arrangements

Mimosa did an incredible job with our florals, which included calla lilies and lots of greenery. They were easy to work with, accommodating last minute changes and additions to our floral arrangements easily and perfectly. Everyone commented on how beautiful the bouquets came out, and the tropical leaf runner they did down our tables was the perfect touch. Highly recommend.

Stunning floral design

Mimosa Floral is a top-notch floral design company - we cannot recommend Lilli and her team highly enough. We had very high expectations and specific requests when it came to the floral vision for our wedding and Lilli exceeded those expectations in every way. They created a stunning and elegant garden party look for our outdoor reception at Tavern on the Green, and seamlessly translated that look into the flowers at the church, including a gorgeous garland on the bannister out front and in posies on the pews, and in all of the bouquets.

Beyond the highest quality craftsmanship and product, Lilli and the Mimosa team were a joy to work with. They are warm, engaging, responsive, and professional. If I were doing it all over again, I would rush to book Mimosa before doing anything else because our wedding truly would not have been the same without them.

Highly recommend!

We had an intimate wedding of 25 guests and so many florists would not even entertain the idea of doing the florals for our wedding. Many that did would refuse to let us customize our flowers and just had us pick from a preset design. Lydia at Mimosa was absolutely amazing. We had a few ideas in mind and when we shared them with Lydia, she transformed our bare bones thoughts to floral perfection. The size of our wedding was absolutely no problem and the budget was very reasonable. Our flowers looked gorgeous all day (even when I put my bouquet through a snowstorm for photos) and arrived perfectly on time. I absolutely adored our flowers and our guests had so many compliments for how unique, special and gorgeous they were. I so highly recommend Mimosa Floral!

Incredible Florist

We did not realize the importance of an excellent florist until we met with the team at Mimosa. They were able to maximize our budget and design a look and feel for our wedding that truly reflected our tasted and style. Highlights of Mimosa’s work included our incredible Chuppa—it was unlike anything we could have imagined, yet tasteful and a reflection of us as a couple. The floral arrangements on the tables and our vine chandelier were incredible. Aside from the extremely high quality work, the entire team at Mimosa was just wonderful to work with. They truly listened and cared to make our floral (and really décor) vision come true. Mimosa’s work was incredible and cannot be recommended enough.

Absolutely breathtaking flowers!

Lilli, Jillian, and the entire Mimosa team were fantastic to work with. Their floral designs blew us away, and it was such a pleasant experience to work with an intimate staff who truly care about their craft. Our wedding venue (The Liberty Warehouse) suggested Mimosa to us, which was great given the existing relationship and ease it added to our process due to a strong relationship between teams and familiarity with the space in & out. I’ll never forget the feeling I had walking into our reception room for the first time and seeing what a gorgeous job they had done - I was truly blown away and it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend working with Mimosa on any event! They also did our rehearsal dinner and those flowers turned out beautiful as well.

Satisfied Sweet Pea!

After my mom had a melt down about my plan to DIY flowers for my wedding, we hired Mimosa to create ceremony arrangements and handle the "personals" (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.) for the big day. Instead of making me feel cheap for needing only a few specific items, rather than an entire wedding's worth of flowers from them, Lydia was SO NICE as she drafted up three different quotes and mock ups for our relatively small order while I tried to mitigate the family drama/budget. She made me feel like "there are no small orders, only small flowers," when it came to customer service. No other florist I spoke to offered the same flexibility and a la carte options and pricing.

And when the big day came, her arrangement truly delivered and took our event to a level that I never would have been able to achieve! I was so grateful we had their help and expertise in making the wedding a beautiful and colorful day!

Best NYC florist!!

Mimosa Floral did our wedding on July 13, and it was truly beyond what we could have imagined. From the start, they were so easy to work with - exactly understanding my vision, giving great guidance on which flowers would go well with the different arrangements, and being incredibly transparent in costs (and helping me keep costs reasonable!). I truly could not recommend them more. If you need a (wedding/event) florist in NYC, don't look further!!

Highly recommend!!

I had a lot of great vendors for my wedding, but Mimosa was by far the best. I was totally blown away by their kindness, professionalism, and incredibly beautiful work. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Lilli and Jillian were such a pleasure to work with for my Hindu/Jewish wedding. They took time during our 1:1 session to really understand what my husband and I wanted, and they found exactly the right balance of traditional florals that were still unique (and all within our budget).

Some highlights:
- Gorgeous chuppah / mandap that was customized to be extra large so that we could fit bride, groom and both sets of parents for the Hindu ceremony.
- Beautiful flower garlands for the bride & groom Hindu ceremony.
- Stunning floral arrangements incorporating cherry blossoms. Guests are still talking about them months after the wedding.
- When it started raining during our ceremony, Jillian had the idea to bring in the ceremony flowers and some pieces of the chuppah to create an intimate, beautiful setting for the remainder of our ceremony. It couldn't have been more perfect and I am so grateful to her for her quick thinking and creativity.

Mimosa is incredible. I didn't know a florist could absolutely transform a space before we saw what Mimosa did with our venue. We selected a bare, warehouse-style venue and were concerned with making the interior warm and beautiful, with an "indoor-outdoor" feel. Mimosa did just that, selecting beautiful jewel-toned flowers, creating tree-like centerpieces for some of the tables, and just generally bringing a funky, inspired design eye to bear on our space. The place looked unique and classic at once and so many guests complimented the decor. We highly recommend them!!!

Lilly or Mimosa just got it - I sent her a few photos of inspiration and she took that and ran with it. I'd wanted a variety of shapes and size of flowers and loads of brilliant color, and that that's actually very difficult to achieve. The space was all white and the flowers were the decor and it was stunning. We were blown away by how beautiful the flowers were. Lily also took the time at our first meeting to ask me a few questions about myself and what I do - she went beyond asking what kind of flowers I wanted, and she came up with a beautiful ribbon illustration that made use of a huge blank wall while enhancing but not competing with the gorgeous floral arrangements.
I see why everyone I talked to at the beginning of the planning process mentioned Lily and Mimosa first. She was a pleasure to work with and is a real artist

It was truly a pleasure to work with Lilli and the team at Mimosa Floral! I couldn't have been happier with our florals. I'm a designer and had a very specific vision and Lilli and her talented designer Jillian helped make it happen. Everything looked incredible and we received so many compliments on the decor. The ceremony blew my mind! They created 2 large floral arrangements on pedestals that were GORGEOUS. They were so unique and unexpected. I couldn't have dreamt them up myself! ! They also collected autumn leaves from the park to put down the isle! It looked like a magical woodland wedding, even though we were in NYC! The tables were also stunning as well! Everyone was taking photos and saying how special they were. Oh, and my bridal bouquet... I am in love with my bouquet! It was exactly what I wanted and even more! The team at Mimosa floral is mega talented. Lilli is a professional but also personable, warm, and very funny. It was so much fun working with her! The florals were one of my favorite parts of our wedding.

Lilli was a dream to work with at my wedding in October 2014. I told her what was important to me, and man, did she and her team deliver! She even identified a special rose whose smell has come to symbolize my day. I could not be happier with the team at Mimosa. I knew they were going to do a great job at my wedding - but they far exceeded my expectations.

Yes, Mimosa has pretty flowers, but when you hire Mimosa, you are hiring them for their creative capabilities and design. After sharing my 'vision' and perimeters during our first meeting, I listened to their guidance and advice on how it would all come together, and tried to be as hands off as possible (this is coming from a VERY hands on person). It was perfection.

Lilli is the best! We got married in August 2016 at the Green Building in Brooklyn and Lilli made the whole place look amazing. We were referred by friends and after a brief phone call outlining our interests and budget we met his her Crown Heights studio. Lilli had sample arrangements prepared for us and treated us to delicious mimosas :) She had awesome tips on color palettes, seasonal flowers and designs as well as inventive cost saving options. I loved looking at her instagram for some of the cool construction pieces she's done for other events, including suspended chuppahs and ceiling designs. She was incredibly organized, friendly and responsive throughout the process and I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Lilli is amazing!! We have used Mimosa for both of our daughter's weddings. One at the end of 2014 and the second one last evening. I cannot describe how stunning Lilli's centerpieces and bouquets were - truly amazing! Both of my daughters had very different styles - Lilli was able to easily adapt her floral creations to give each daughter the wedding of their dreams. I would highly recommend Lilli and her team.

Working with Lilli, the owner and mastermind behind Mimosa Floral was an incredible experience. I would highly highly recommend her and her team to anyone! They are AMAZING!!! They are extremely creative, unique, talented, flexible and hardworking. I met with Lilli after meeting many other florists who didn't understand my less traditional and unique vision for an organic, natural, garden-like feel for my wedding. Lilli was the first florist to not only understand it, but to take it and run with it. She went above and beyond to create the a beautiful atmosphere for our rehearsal dinner inside a restaurant, our church florals and our wedding in a tent on a garden property. She completely nailed the look, feel and vibe we wanted to achieve in each location and the results were better than we could have even imagined. Lilli is fantastic. I hope I can work with her again. Working with Mimosa Floral made that aspect of wedding plan a fun, easy and creative process that me, my mom and my fiancé all looked forward to. Mimosa Floral is the absolute best!! Our venue, the Liberty Warehouse, recommended Lilli and I'm so glad they did. The floral arrangements were truly amazing & exactly what I dreamed of & more. Plus, Lilli is so nice & easy to work with, she accommodated our budget, which was a concern of ours considering how expensive flowers can be, but I was so impressed by her ideas and her willingness to help us stay on track. When the weather forced our ceremony indoors, Lilli responded fast and designed a beautiful indoor ceremony that I forgot about the bad weather! Our wedding was our dream wedding, and I can thank Mimosa Floral for that. The cherry blossom centerpieces were so beautiful, and the candles/small vases were so romantic. It felt like us! & that's because Lilli took the time to listen to us. She is a true artist & thank you to the whole Mimosa team!

Mimosa floral is around the corner from our apartment, and we regularly see them there late at night, toiling over finishing touches for all kinds of orders. So when SIX florists weren't available for our date, I just walked by and talked to them. Little did I know that there portfolio was perfect for my vision.

They listened to me, asked lots of questions, looked through my pinterest boards, and made some suggestions based on my budget. We decided to do just wedding party flowers since the venue was literally a flower garden. I trusted them to make decisions based on my budget and inspiration and they chose really beautiful, seasonal flowers that were unique, interesting, understated and totally on point! They were cool with letting us pick the flowers up the morning of the wedding and we were off!

I would recommend them over and over!

Lilli was the mastermind behind my September 3rd wedding at the Foundry in Long Island City. My wedding was GORGEOUS thanks to Lilli and her team. She took my entire vision which often mimicked Pinterest and made it a realty. From the floating candles, flowers, BFA, and the blush sequin tablecloths.
Lillian sat with me months prior to my wedding and put together a vision board of how she imagined our wedding . Everything came out exactly how I wanted! Lilli is amazing at what she does and I cannot thank her enough. I am so glad Lilli was part of my special day. I cannot thank her team enough for their dedication and hard work .

Lilli from Mimosa Floral Design is incredible. From her friendly bubbly personality to her incredible talented floral designs and everything else she did for our wedding, my husband and I are so glad we had her as one of our venues. I'd like to think I stayed pretty level headed throughout the planning process and didn't get too crazy about all the details, except the flowers. Lilli was so understanding and patient with me. She not only gave us beautiful table centerpieces, and bouquets and boutonnieres, but she also hung beautiful string lights and made us an incredibly beautiful chalkboard seating chart. She had great reviews, but I will admit I was a little nervous about not being able to seeing her vision and tell whether we were on the same page. (especially because I was a nut and kept changing things and couldn't verbalize exactly what I wanted. I must have sent her a billion pictures but they were all different) I'm so glad I trusted her. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect, its like she was in my head :).

Anyone would be lucky to have Mimosa Floral Design as part of their special day!

We called Mimosa at the recommendation of our caterer, Dish, and we were very happy. Lilli was so responsive and helpful and had great ideas. We don't know much about flowers and pricing and she helped us make decisions within a budget that worked for us. We loved the altar arrangement and personal flowers she did for our wedding at 26 Bridge Street. I'd highly recommend working with them.

Lilli at Mimoa-Floral Design Studio truly made my wedding a dream come true. She designed a hanging rose canapy that has had people gasping and non-stop talking since the moment they saw it. I can not say enough how amazing working with Lilli was. She is the BEST and would recommend her to ANYONE. VERY CREATIVE, ATTENTIVE, DEDICATED, and AMAZING!

We were referred to Lilli and the Mimosa team by our venue director - "she's always makes this place look incredible." Luckily she was also the most affordable of the florists he had on his referral list, yet the one he couldn't stop recommending! And they were absolutely right! Lilli and the Mimosa Floral Design team was a huge pleasure to work with - they not only executed my crazy vision of having nightmarket-themed wedding with a cherry blossom festival atmosphere, they brought in a ton of wonderful creative ideas and accents that our guests couldn't stop commenting on the entire night! Lilli really transformed our warehouse venue into a new world - bringing in tall cherry blossoms (from where I don't know, considering we were still basically in a long winter at the beginning of April), votives, lanterns, bamboo poles, linens that perfectly matched my wedding colors, a manzanea tree, etc to give off a lovely Spring festival feel. While doing all of this she was super conscious of our limited budget and worked with us to cut out things that wouldn't have as much impact while adding in other accents that would be more affordable and still be awe-inducing. Lilli was also incredibly accommodating of all of our last minute requests (i.e. - bringing in a tree that we could use as a wishing tree, which she made more pretty that I was evening imagining), and giving us design advice on last minute personal accents to the tables I wanted to add. Throughout this whole process she was incredibly friendly (one of the most friendly NY vendors we worked with), creative, and energetic - approaching our wedding design with so much enthusiasm and positive energy that it really made us feel comfortable in her hands. We would recommend her to ANYONE doing a NYC wedding - she's really the best!

I can't say enough about Lilli and Mimosa. We contacted Lilli on a recommendation from our venue. Our contact literally said, "you guys are artsy. Your florist is Mimosa. Trust me on this." He was right!! Lilli has a background in theater, and looks at a wedding as creating an entire set. She considered the flow and scale of the venue, and was able to translate our vague idea of a mood we wanted to create on our wedding day ("Oh, I don't know. Something vintage, but not mason jar vintage. Something glamorous, but still cozy. Maybe Art Deco, but not theme-y. It's winter, I don't know. Make it pretty."), and created a scene that was absolutely stunning. It was EXACTLY what we wanted, even when we didn't have the words for it. Mimosa is a full-service floral design studio: they covered all of our decorations, including flowers, candles, bistro lights, etc. Our wedding was beautiful and personal, as Lilli incorporated little touches that maybe no one noticed, but were very meaningful to us. People are still talking about how it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen. In the words of one of my friends (after a cocktail or three): "Have you looked around yet? It's f***ing Pinterest in here."

Lilli was amazing!! From the first time we met, she totally understood what we were going for with our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Over the course of a couple meetings, she showed me tons of pictures of different types of flowers and floral arrangement ideas. She knew how to take our ideas and make them even more gorgeous than we could've imagined! When one type of flower didn't arrive at the last minute, due to a hold up in the Netherlands, Lilli came prepared with a couple of different replacement options for us to choose from. She also set up our tables with lanterns and specific candles that we had requested.

When we walked into the reception, she had translated our conversations into the most gorgeous arrangements. I would absolutely recommend her. She is wonderful to work with and has a true gift for working with flowers!

We absolutely loved working with Mimosa for our wedding at the Liberty Warehouse in Brooklyn. Lilli is so cool and down to earth, listened to my ideas and made really, really helpful suggestions to complement my taste. Lilli's style is beautiful and the final product was breathtaking - we got so many compliments. Lilli constantly tried to help me find ways to maximize my budget while still making sure the room was perfect, and it was! We are using Mimosa again for a party next year and I wholeheartedly recommend them to NYC/Brooklyn couples!

Where to begin...Lilli is fantastic. Her taste level is impeccable, and she exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding flowers. More than a month after the wedding, my husband and I are still hearing compliments about them.

Lilli is a great listener, and she really cares about creating a unique, memorable experience for each couple. She has a wonderful way of figuring out not just WHAT a couple wants for their wedding, but also WHY they want it. She really made the effort to get to know my husband and I, and to understand our tastes -- and in fact, we became great friends with her throughout the process.

You will not regret working with Lilli and her team at Mimosa. She'll work with your budget, but still be honest about where it's worth it to spend, and where you can save. She has the eye of a photographer, and can tell you what actually looks great in a room/in professional photos, vs. what's just "cute" for a tiny Instagram picture. And most of all, she'll make your day seamless, stress-free and more beautiful than you could have imagined. So stop reading reviews and just go book with her already!

Working with Lilly of Mimosa Floral Design was so great. Her studio in brooklyn is beautiful, she instantly got what i wanted, and it only took 1 in person meeting to solidify the flowers for the wedding!

I wanted something simple and was on a tighter budget for flowers, but everything looked to beautiful! She even made me a gorgeous flower crown :)

I kept my bouquet for a few days post wedding and it held up! Every bloom was perfect and beautiful and just the kind of flowers I liked. So perfect.

Definitely would recommend Mimosa to anyone getting married!

The best decision I've ever made, aside from marrying my husband was booking Mimosa Floral as the florist for our wedding. Our wedding was everything that we could've imagined thanks to Lilli and her team. Lilli took the time to meet with me and create a custom proposal that achieved our dream and fit within our budget.

Mimosa Floral were able to manage all of our last minute wishes with ease. From adapting to a new table layout to achieving our "jungle-alter" with beautiful rainbow of colors on the ceiling... to create an absolutely breath-taking wedding!

Mimosa was able to incorporate both my husbands and my wishes to create our dream. The pictures speak for them selves! We cannot help to smile every time we look at our wedding pictures--from the vanda orchid bridesmaid bouquet to the birds of paradise centerpieces--amazing!

I knew it was meant to be when I walked into Starbucks for our first meeting and our florist was wearing the most amazing floral print dress, I professed my love right on the spot :-D.

In all seriousness Lilli, is a true artist and helped the vision for our wedding come into reality. She was able to pull all the jumbled ideas from our heads and turn them into the most beautiful wedding. She was able to work within our budget, and gave us helpful suggestions about where to best spend the money to make the room look killer. This was something I truly appreciated.
She was always able to make changes as we needed, even a week before the wedding adding a large head table - we shifted around a few things seamlessly!

On The day of, everything was beautiful - the wedding arch with ribbons and globes brought my mom to tears! We could not have asked for a more perfect experience! Thank you!

Lilli and team created our floral arrangements for our February wedding. The arrangements were more beautiful than we could've ever imagined. She took an woodland theme idea and just made it into a magical forest. Our guests gushed about how unique and beautiful the arrangements were. She also made us a beautiful Wishing tree that just lit up the room. Lilli is a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She worked within our budget and was transparent every step of the process. Her arrangements were of the highest quality and everything she delivered were works of art. We loved her enthusiasm, professionalism and creativity. Wedding planning was pretty stressful for us but she made the floral design process so smooth and fun. We had a fantastic time working with Lillian for our wedding. She helped us pick flowers and designs and arrangements that met our budget and design needs. She was incredibly flexible, always available and produced really beautiful fresh flowers despite the fact that we got married in the middle of a snow storm in the middle of the winter. She was very flexible and adaptable with our budget. She worked with a lot of the vases and lanterns that we already had and offered really great ideas and solutions to issues we had as it came up. She knew Liberty Warehouse so well and gave us great recommendations as to how to make our wedding perfect! It was a dream wedding and we have Mimosa to thank for that! can't wait to see how it all came out in the pictures!

Lilli was an absolute dream to work with; I had a tight budget, a crazy work schedule and a very short timeline, but from the first email exchange, I felt total confidence that my flowers would be gorgeous. She met with two of my friends to go over looks, stayed in close contact via email, and went out of her way to make sure that everything would be handled quickly and easily. The bridal bouquet was gorgeous--I'm kicking myself that I didn't plan ahead to have it preserved! The boutonnieres were perfect--the bridesmaids bouquets were exactly what I'd had in mind. And best of all, I never felt a second of worry about how things would turn out. My only regret is that I still haven't actually met Lilli!

Mimosa did the chalkboard art for our wedding in August and we couldn’t have been happier with Lilli’s work! She did both our chalkboard seating chart and a sign to greet guests. The whole process was so easy. We sent her our seating chart and a copy of our invitation and she created a unique and personal design. Our wedding started at 6:00 pm and Lilli arrived at the venue early in the morning to start work so that she could take her time, make everything perfect, and create something special for us. The result was beautiful! We highly recommend Mimosa for all of your chalkboard art needs!

We first met Lilli at a bridal show in July 2012. She had an amazing display and was a breath of fresh air in the crowded craziness. A few months later, my husband and I had coffee with her to chat about the wedding. She was warm, friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and took lots of notes. We just clicked! And as a bonus, her prices were the best we saw in Manhattan (by far) and she was willing to work within our small budget. Throughout the planning process she was responsive and helpful. A couple of weeks before the wedding we met again to actually walk around the flower district and have her point out different flowers she was thinking of using. By this point we had a very clear vision of what we wanted and it was extremely helpful to see things in person. We went thru our final details that day as well and left feeling confident that the flowers would be beautiful. On the day of the wedding, when the bouquets and boutineers arrived they were stunning. The same goes for the flowers at the reception as well... they were perfect and exactly what we pictured. We had said we wanted bright, colorful, happy flowers and that sunflowers and daisies were a must. Lilli just GOT it. She definitely went above and beyond and exceeded expectation! Plus she's FUN!

We LOVED Lilli! She worked with our budget to the dollar practically, which was MUCH appreciated. Not only that, she got what we were going for and delivered the most gorgeous flowers I've ever seen on my wedding day. Seriously. It was above and beyond my expectations and even my imagination. Lillie is wonderful - she is highly professional, was respectful of our "vision" for our wedding, and happily worked within our budget. She was thoughtful and considerate throughout the whole process, always smiling, and very warm and creative. The result was incredible. She built our Chuppah out of birch branches and cherry blossoms, and created beautiful centerpieces for our tables using a variety of in-season flowers and greenery, including fruit (kumquats!), and vintage bottles. We didn't have any other decorations - just the flowers and candles, and the space looked magnificent. She highlighted the exposed brick walls and fireplaces using large candles and votives. One could tell that she took the space and its intricacies into consideration when designing the floral arrangements. Lillie was available for discussion and updating when we needed it, coming over to our apartment to go over final details the week before the wedding (making it so convenient for a busy bride and groom!). Even on the day of the wedding, she was relaxed (but busy!) and it was clear that she loves her work. It's also important to note that Lillie worked well with all of our other vendors - including our wedding planner and the event space manager. This is very important when hosting an event, and we are so grateful that we had such incredible vendors, including Lillie! We would highly recommend Lillie and Mimosa Floral Designs for any event.

I REALLY REALLY lucked out with my florist. Not only were my flowers breathtaking, unique, tear inducing and still being talked about by my guests (!) it was a pleasure working with Lilli. She really cared about my wedding & never made me feel bad about being a budget bride. She was competent, reliable, supportive and imaginative, and my caterer adored her. You don't realize until you are in it how much you are going to have to communicate with your vendors and how important it is that you just plain like them. Plenty went wrong on our wedding day, as I'm sure it does with all weddings, but I was never worried about the flowers because I knew I was in good hands and they even exceeded my expectations.

Lilli is brilliant and exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wedding was held on June 14th at Tribeca Rooftop. Lilli has a special talent for what she does and the results exceeded what I had even imagined. From start to finish, she was reliable, visionary and went beyond the call of duty. The first time I met Lilli I explained to her what I had in mind for flowers and decor, and she ran with it. She came armed with sketches and suggestions, and added just the right creative angle and visualization that I was lacking. She did not just execute the idea but truly designed a gorgeous wedding while staying within the contours of our requested budget. Closer to the date, Lilli met me at the venue and we discussed together what else we could do with the space. Her final brilliant idea was to add an illuminated lantern display in bright colors that made the entire room pop with a focal point. To show her attention to detail, she even ran out in the middle of a thunderstorm to make sure she had exactly the right materials to make it perfect. We are so appreciative and could not have imagined a more beautiful evening wedding thanks to Lilli.

Lillian and her company, Mimosa Designs, did such a wonderful job of setting up the flowers, venue, and general reception for our daughter's wedding. Since, as the Mom of the Bride, I live on the West Coast, and the wedding took place in New York City, understandably I was concerned about not being able to have hands-on contact to make sure everything was as beautifully done as possible. When I saw the flower arrangements, and the general décor, I was completely satisfied. They did such a wonderful job of taking a modest room, with pretty modest funds, and making it into a lovely, tasteful, "family-friends" setting. Much was just tasteful, artistic cleverness--like the switch in light bulbs, Japanese lanterns, hanging decoration in the "used to be a factory" setting, etc. Lillian knows how to turn a modest space into a special space, in a cost-effective approach. I loved working with Lilli at Mimosa Floral Design! She did the flowers for my sister's wedding, so I knew I was in capable hands. She is very professional, but has a relaxed style which I appreciated. She listened thoughtfully to my ideas, and we had a great brainstorm session to help complete my vision... and it was executed perfectly! (She even found the most beautiful flowers in a rather unique color which I requested!) I just loved the bouquets, centerpieces, vases and votives. They had such a rich, classic and romantic feel.

Mimosa has very competitive prices. They are extremely reasonable for NYC. And my fiancé was happy that we stayed within our budget, ha!

Lilli was so amazing to work with! She was flexible and extremely talented. My husband and I met with her and we instantly felt like she just got the vision we were going for. Lili was the best. We had some weird requests (out of season flowers, an art deco chuppah), but she handled them all perfectly, and was so charming and fun to be around, we had her over for dinner! We literally cannot say enough good things about her. Anytime someone says they're getting married, the first thing I say is "we have the best florist."

And the best part is that we originally were looking at a florist my mother recommended - he didn't get our vision and was 4x our budget. Lili not only understood the vision, but she kept us well within budget - something the other florist had said was "impossible."

I met Lilli at a wedding event, and fell in love with both her arrangements and her personality. When we started working together, we discussed ideas and e-mailed photos, then even met at the flower market a year before my wedding to discuss seasonal flowers that would work in the arrangements. On the day of the wedding, she executed our vision to a T...and greatly surpassed our expectations. Not only were our guests raving, but all of our vendors could not believe how beautiful the arrangements were!!! First let me start by saying that Lilli was the best vendor that we worked with. We met Lilli at a bridal show in NYC. At first we had reservations because she had only been in business for just under 2 years and had not done large arrangements for a wedding our size but we felt the most comfortable with her and she was easy to work with. We met with 5 florists total from the high end preferred event designer/florist to a retail florist and Lilli was the one who understood our vision, provided several sketches as examples and followed up consistently.
On the day of the wedding, Lilli came with 3 people to help set up the room. They worked all day and we were more than thrilled with the outcome. Everyone commented on how stunning the room looked and we were really blown away with the result.

I would recommend Mimosa-Floral to anyone. I wish we had another event where we could use her services!

I was fortunate enough to meet Lilli, owner of Mimosa Floral Design Studio, at the Wedding Crashers event held at my venue in March of this year. Upon meeting Lilli, her genuine excitement, knowledge of flowers, and willingness to work with brides on a budget, immediately put me at ease! Although most of my favorite flowers were out of season for my July 13th, 2012 wedding, Lilli gave a variety of complimentary suggestions, all of which I loved! I had a very tight budget and specific vision in mind, and Lilli was able to work within my budget and made my vision come to life.
I wanted a subtle nod to my husband's and mine favorite director, Tim Burton, and wanted very specific gray and white stripped table runners. Lilli went to a fabric store and brought me back a plethora of options and made the most beautiful runners to compliment the flower arrangements she made. Although i was a bride on a budget, the floral arrangements and table runners looked like I didn't have a budget. She was able to make my floral arrangements, bouquets, and boutineers look seamless and cohesive with my overall wedding aesthetic. I really appreciated how Lilli listened to what I wanted and she went above and beyond to deliver! Plus, she hand printed my program on my venue's large chalkboard, to look exactly like my invitations....she has talent!!
I highly, highly recommend Lilli. From the work I have seen of her other weddings, she has the talent to make each wedding look unique and reflective of the couple. I cannot thank her enough!

Mimosa Florist was very impressive. Lily made sure she was at our venue the day of the wedding and had everything under control. She was always very responsive with us when it came to the plans, she had a good grasp on the background of our wedding venue design and what my vision was. The day of the wedding when I got to the ceremony and saw how she did the whole reception venue, it was more then what I had invisioned. It was so beautiful. I could not believe that she took my vision and not only made it every thing I wanted, but raised the bar and made it more. I really had a fairy tale wedding.

Lilli was absolutely WONDERFUL!! She was extremely prompt with her responses to my questions and I could always count on hearing back from her. Lilly (can you find a better name for a florist?!) was amazing. She went above and beyond my highest expectations. Everything was exactly right, simple, elegant, and added all just the right touches to our already beautiful venue. When I went back to the venue the next day they were still using our flowers to decorate the space.

Simply fabulous! Alley Scott of Mimosa Floral Design Studio put together the most beautiful and creative flower arrangements. Not only were the flowers gorgeous and lasted for days after the event, but the creativity of using leaves, herbs and other natural accents found on the property where we were getting married really tied in the flower pieces with our entire wedding and location. We LOVE Mimosa Floral Design Studios!!

We worked with Mimosa for our wedding in Brooklyn on August 2018, and I was so happy with how the flowers turned out! I wanted a simple yet elegant style and Mimosa worked with us to come up with a great package within our budget. The team was professional and very accommodating when I wanted to do the florist viewing remotely (I live on the West coast). Mimosa Floral did the decor for our wedding. First and foremost, it was absolutely stunning and beautiful! We could not have asked for a better designer to create the exact vision we were going for!
We had our wedding in NYC and we knew we would have to pay a little more because of the location. We wish Mimosa Floral could have done a little more to accommodate our budget, but they are a business and we understand that. As almost anything in this (wedding) industry, there were things we could not stomach to pay the prices for. In the end, this did not take away from the overall picture we were going for. We didn't use a lot of flowers, which helped with the cost but was also the look we were going for.
I did not know what I wanted for my bouquet. I went back and forth with Lilli about things I liked and in the end my bouquet was everything I didn't know I wanted :)
We had one small miscommunication regarding the flower girl and Lilli, without question, immediately fixed it.
Lilli was easy to work with, was always quick to respond to emails, and her passion is apparent when you talk to her!
Overall, we were extremely pleased with Mimosa Floral, Lilli, and our wedding decor!

We could not have been happier with Mimosa and Lily! Not only was her work gorgeous, but she made the process incredibly easy and low-stress.

The full story:
I (the bride) think flowers are great but had very limited interest in choosing any for my wedding. The groom was even less interested. Lily was recommended (along with a number of other florists) by our venue, so we called her after calling one or two others. I felt immediately understood on our first phone call, and even more so at our first meeting at her studio. She suggested that I pull some photos of flowers and colors I liked, which I did in advance of our meeting. In addition to looking through my pinterest board that revealed an aesthetic I didn’t know I had, we chatted easily about ourselves as a couple and what we wanted the wedding to look and feel like. Lily pulled a few things together (flowers as well as metal lanterns) in the studio and we were struck by how quickly she understood the vision I didn’t even know we had. She’s also just really nice. We were sold.

Leading up to our wedding, Lily put together an itemized estimate and photos to approximate what things would look like (including arrangements as well as the individual flowers she had chosen). She even took us to the flower market to see the options and consider whether we wanted to change any of them. Besides marrying my husband, the flowers were by far my most favorite part of my wedding. Lillian and her team did such an incredible job, it's hard to explain in a single review! Lillian was also always calm, cool and collected and I was just blown away by what she created. She was very knowledgable, flexible, and honest about the work; she was also never worried and was always confident. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted our flowers to look like (like most brides, I'm sure) and a limited budget (like most brides, I'm sure.) Lillian took all of this this seriously, listened to what we wanted, contributed her very valuable ideas, and delivered something far beyond my expectations.

The bouquets and centerpieces were so so so so beautiful and even better than what I had envisioned- everyone at the wedding commented at least once about how special and beautiful Lillian's flowers were (and this is really saying something, considering we got married at the Botanical Gardens!!). Lillian's work stood out, left an impression on everyone, and just couldn't have made me happier.

And then... there was the flower crown. I am still dreaming of this crown. It was perfect, exactly what I had asked for- it was beautiful and colorful and so special. And- can I be honest?- it was the thing that made me feel the most beautiful on my wedding day. I want to wear one every day- but at the very least, I plan to commission Lillian to make me a flower crown for any and all events in the near future.

We met Lilli at her shop in Crown Heights and she was able to show us right away some samples for the vases and other items which was very helpful. She helped us stay within our budget and the final product was gorgeous - she was able to translate the color palette and mood we were going for. We absolutely loved our flowers.
Lilli delivered the flowers to our hotel promptly and was even very flexible about making a last minute change. I definitely recommend her.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Lilli for our wedding. Lilli came highly recommended by our event planner and after meeting with her, we decided we didn't have to meet with any other florists, we had found ours. Lilli took care of our ceremony and reception flowers and even decked out the dance floor with 200' of bistro lighting!

We met with Lillli just once. But in that meeting, Lilli was able to learn about who we were, what we wanted and showed us a bit of her work. She was open and interested in all the pictures we had brought and sent links to. We liked her prices, but loved her flexible in handling all of our wants, quirks and eventual last minute changes. Lilli even let me incorporate some art projects in the wedding décor.

Our planning wasn't finalized until just a few days before the wedding. Despite the time crunch, no detail was over looked and everything was absolutely beautiful. Lilli was at the venue morning of setting everything up, and was even kind enough to pin my boutonniere in the midst of her set up. Everyone loved the décor and were happy to take flowers home, whether they were allowed or not!

In line with other reviews, I did knock just a bit off of Lilli's "Responsiveness" rating. My wife and I trusted Lilli after our first and only meeting and were fine not meeting again, or having a demo. Our final proposal was not set until just a few days before the wedding. Some may not be comfortable with these types of arrangements. We were - we placed all of our wedding décor trust in Lilli and are VERY happy we did.

If you are considering working with Lilli, do it.

I hired Lilli to do the flowers for my wedding. I didn't have a color scheme, but wanted bright colors and beautiful, seasonal flowers. That's basically what I told her, along with my budget (which wasn't particularly high). She BLEW ME AWAY with the AMAZING work she did. Everything she provided was even better than I could have hoped for, and it was beyond affordable. Finally, she went to my venue and set everything up before I even got there. I literally had to do NOTHING, and my venue looked perfect by the time I showed up. I got a ton of compliments on my flowers, my bouquet was gorgeous - literally, I cannot recommend Lilli enough.

When I started planning I thought I didn't really care how my flowers looked for the wedding; but they turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the day. Before I met with Lilli from Mimosa Floral I sent her some pictures I had found online and liked. She asked careful questions about my color scheme, budget, and design aesthetic. I also met with three other florists for comparison, but was just blown away by her professionalism, attentiveness, and frankly, the fact she really seemed to care! She arrived with a collage of pictures of flowers that fit my budget and color scheme. I gave her pretty much free reign within that When my flowers showed up I was in awe. They were the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen. Everyone kept gushing over them. I joked to Lilli that when I walked up the aisle my husband would be ogling the flowers. She laughed, but in fact, when I made it up the aisle he looked at me, clearly impressed, and whispered "Nice flowers!!!" Now I'm one of those brides who says "I wish I could have kept my bouquet forever."

Lilli, I had to knock off 1/2 a star because it did take me a little while to track down that signed contract - but that's only because you were so in demand and busy! Otherwise, working with you was an absolute joy and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

(If anyone wants to see pictures of the bouquet, I've added some to my wedding wire album and one is my profile picture. These are the ones I took with my iphone the next day. Yes, the day after still that beautiful and in 3GS terrible quality. I'll add more when I get my photographer's shots back.)

Lilli and her team were INCREDIBLE to work with! I loved getting to go hang out at the flower shop and discuss all of my visions for the day. Lilli was always so positive about whatever I wanted to do, and she took the time to provide mock set ups and displays TWICE so I could really get a good feel for what I wanted the reception to look like. Mimosa owner Lilli did an amazing job with my daughter's wedding in New York City! She was a delight to work with from beginning to end. It was such fun going through the flower district with her to choose the flowers, and she worked with us to make it fit within our budget. I found Lilli on a random photography blog when I was researching wedding venues in NYC. She had done that wedding's flowers and I kept going back to the photos and finally contacted her. I cannot rave enough about how fabulous my wedding flowers were and how many people kept talking about them. (See Lilli's "A Perfectly Peachy Wedding Affair" facebook photo album.) I spent so much time going over wedding blogs and I knew exactly what I wanted before I hired Mimosa - and Liili turned my dream into a reality. Everything was colorful, tasteful, "rustic chic," and AFFORDABLE. Lilli probably charged half of what the florists my venue recommended quoted me. AND she took me to the flower district in NYC a few weeks before the wedding to pick out exactly what was local and in season. :) Our handmade chalkboard seating chart also was spectacular and just what I wanted. Lilli even had the idea to base her chalkboard artwork on our wedding invitations. She is so talented. She was fun, energetic, a pleasure to work with, and the only reason I gave her a 4/5 for responsiveness was because sometimes she took a little time to get back to us- but that is only because she is now swamped with successful business!! She is indeed the best kept secret in NYC. I wish I had another excuse to plan another event that she could decorate.

I used Mimosa Floral Designs based on the recommendation of a friend who had used them for her spring wedding. I thought my friend's arrangements were beautiful so I contacted Lilli. Her initial response included a typical pricing list, which was a bit high for our budget. I told Lilli what I was willing to spend and she was able to keep the cost very reasonable. I didn't know much about flowers, but showed her a couple pictures and we discussed the color theme. I left the rest up to her and did not see the flowers until the wedding. She did a fantastic job and I got many compliments. In fact, the manager of the restaurant where we held our reception just contacted me to get Lilli's information. All in all, we were very pleased.

Lilli and team created our floral arrangements for our February wedding. The arrangements were more beautiful than we could've ever imagined. She took an woodland theme idea and just made it into a magical forest. Our guests gushed about how unique and beautiful the arrangements were. She also made us a beautiful Wishing tree that just lit up the room. Lilli is a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. While planning my wedding in just 3 months, I came across a lot of painfully high proposals and charges for a lot of services (vendors know when you're rushing). I was so glad to find a local designer like Mimosa, they were open on my date and were a great option for beautiful wedding florals. Lilli is talented, creative and will do her best to work within your budget. She went above and beyond to make sure all our expectations were met. She threw some extras too and remained flexible with last minute changes. One thing I didn't do that I would recommend with ANY floral designer is to submit images of exactly what you want or request a sketch (my bouquet was a little different than what I had expected) but this is true of any floral designer and not indicative of any shortcomings with Mimosa. I would wholeheartedly recommend this studio and hope to work with them in the future. I think my budget went a long way, much further than it would have with other floral designers of equal caliber.

Lilli of Mimosa-Floral Design Studio was great and I was 100% happy with the floral decor at my wedding! She met with us and did a mock up of what would be on our tables, she was very responsive to email, and she helped us think through different ways to make the event beautiful and cost efficient at the same time. The actual wedding flowers were amazing and everything turned out just as I had envisioned it. Mimosa-Floral design was great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone to use for their event.
