    Get married at Mill Race!

We are so happy that we chose Mill Race Village for our wedding ceremony. We planned to have our ceremony in front of the gazebo, but the weather had other plans. It was such a relief to have the chapel as our backup plan. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and we got so many amazing photos that we will treasure for years to come. Plus, my husband’s parents got to recreate their wedding photo from 35 years prior! Wendy and Suemarie were great to work with and made the day-of decision to move the ceremony a breeze. We highly recommend having your wedding ceremony at Mill Race Village!

We used Mill Race Village as our ceremony site. We had picked this site because you rent the whole village so you can either use the church or have an outdoor ceremony at the gazebo. My husband really wanted an outdoor wedding but I was only ok with that if we had a solid back up. As it turned out, it was over 100 degrees on the wedding so we ended up using the air conditioned chapel. It was very nice and I got a lot of comments on how cute and unique the property was. I highly recommend Mill Race Village!

    Great Experience!

We had our wedding ceremony in the New School Church this past weekend. It was so beautiful! We loved that the money we spent went to keeping history alive! Jennifer was great to work with, quickly responding to odd requests to measure things for us since we don’t live nearby, and making sure we knew what things would be like the day-of, as well as helping us with our pandemic rescheduling by rolling over all our payments and contract to the rescheduled date. We were a little nervous about getting set up and taking down during the rental time, but we were lucky enough to be able to set up the day before and pay for chair setup/take down, so it really made the day more relaxed. Debbie was our docent, and she made a suggestion for decor as we were setting up that really tied things together! Great experience here, and we highly recommend it!

Thank you Megan for the kind words! You were a pleasure to work with! I'm so glad you stuck with us through the covid delays! Debbie is one of our best! Best to you and your husband! We hope you'll come back to the Village and visit for our events!

This place was perfect! My husband and I were married in the church, and it couldn't have been a more perfect venue. All of our guests loved it, and raved about it. I had alot of people tell me the church reminded them of the church in the movie A Walk To Remember. The grounds were maintaned well, and had beautiful settings for photos. Unfortunatley it rained so it was hot humid, and after a few pictures we all were ready to go. We stuck it out, and got a few wonderful shots. If we had more of set up time, we probably would have decorated more, but the simplicity of it was beautiful. I recommed this place to friends all the time!

The Mill Race Village in Northville, Michigan was always one of my favorite places to go since I was little, and it was always the place where I wanted to get married at! The church is so cute and simple and the whole village has a very quaint, victorian feel to it. The grounds are gorgeous and there are so many great photo opportunities, you don't need to go anywhere else! The grounds are reserved for your wedding only for 2 hours, but I would recommend adding an extra half hour onto your time, it really helps to have a full hour before the ceremony to set-up any decorations/flowers, and then have a full hour after for pictures before the grounds are opened up to the public. Reserve your date early, as they book up fast!! I loved getting married here and our pictures are fabulous!
