Same price but 10x better of an impression

Had Milk Bar ship us three 10 inch cakes for our wedding of 130 people and people are still talking about our cake... Was similarly priced as a custom wedding cake but 10x more memorable. They were also incredible responsive/easy to work with and shipped it to our caterer to store and deliver!

Delicious and affordable!

Instead of ordering a traditional wedding cake, we ordered 5 assorted Milk Bar cakes in varying sizes to create a dessert bar style, and our guests loved it. We definitely ordered more cake than our vendor recommended and we barely had any leftover because everyone loved the cakes that much. It was absolutely more affordable than a standard wedding cake and the flavors were much more delicious!

Perfect cake!

We had 3 cakes at our wedding, one of which was a MilkBar birthday cake. It looked so good!! The staff communicated within 24 hours via email for the entire ordering process, payment was easy, and for the size of cake we ordered pricing was not outrageous. Cake arrived on time and as described and was delicious!

Delicious Birthday Cake flavor!

The great thing about Milkbar is that they are consistently delicious. We ordered a smaller version of our cake as an excuse to just eat cake, and see how it delivered. It is packaged well and there was no damage to the cake after arrival. It was still cold when we unwrapped the package, and still just as tasty. We look forward to receiving our wedding cake!

Amazing cake!

Loved having Milk for our wedding. We were looking into different options but MIlk had the widest variety, it was easy to try the flavors and they delivered directly to the venue. We ordered 2 flavors: German Chocolate and Chocolate chip and it was so good we didn't even get a chance to take some home. If in doubt, just go to one of their stores and try anything, it is all delicious!

Milk Bar is the Best

We have been big Milk Bar fans for years so when we began to plan our wedding, we knew exactly where to go to order our wedding cake. Milk Bar’s wedding cakes are not only incredibly gorgeous, unique and whimsical- they are also so delicious, it’s like eating magic clouds. People are still raving about our wedding cake and we (luckily) saved the top layer to eat on our anniversary… ok… truth be told, we’ve definitely had a few bites of it already. It’s just too delicious! Do yourself a favor and go with Milk Bar for your wedding cake!

We ordered 3 untiered cakes - Birthday cake, German chocolate, and Double chocolate cakes. Milk Bar was super responsive and helpful in creating the order and the size. The cakes looked beautiful day of and were DELICIOUS! The guests loved the cakes! Many people told me they ate 3 pieces that night! I would highly recommend ordering them for your wedding!!

A Milk Bar wedding cake, what more could you want? I got married in June, and the cake was delivered and presented beautifully. No tilting, nothing melting, it was the highlight of my wedding night. Grace was so easy to work with, and was so flexible as I changed my mind a bunch of times. i highly recommend Milk Bar's wedding cake.

We knew we wanted a Milk Bar cake and were thrilled with it! We ordered a tasting and decided on four flavors for a four-tiered cake, and ordered a separate sheet cake just to be sure we had plenty. It looked and tasted amazing! We love that we can stop by to get a little cake on our anniversary and relive the experience without having to store it in the freezer for a year!

We ordered a 6-inch display cake and accompanying sheet cake from Milk Bar which worked out awesomely and affordably. They don't ship sheet cakes so we had a friend pick it up in Brooklyn the morning of the wedding and drive it down to Philadelphia. The birthday cake is SO delicious and everyone loved it. Highly recommended!

We ordered the Pretzel flavored cake for our wedding and had it shipped from their NYC bakery.... as a bride I was so anxious about having the cake shipped from out of state but my husband was a long time Milk Bar fan. We took the risk and hoped for the best n the end I feel silly worrying about it... Milk Bar is a truly professional bakery. The cake arrived on time and undamaged.

Everyone at our reception complimented that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had - some even asked to take extra pieces home! Milk Bar definitely has great flavors and the quality of the cake is superb!!! If you want something truly unique try their wedding cake sampler you can order from their website - you won't be disappointed.

As long time fans and frequent visitors of Momofuku Milk Bar we knew that we wanted our wedding cake to be from there for the longest time. While their tiered wedding cakes are gorgeous and we wish we could fit it into our budget, with about 175 guests attending we were not sure if we could afford it. To save on the overall costs we decided to purchase several separate party cakes from them instead and saved over $300 in costs. We purchased a 6" inch round birthday cake which we were able to customize with Vanilla and Chocolate frosting through their MIlk ID program to use as our personal cake for display and cake cutting. We also had Milk Bar write our initials on top of the cake inside a heart outline instead of purchasing a cake topper. By using the smaller cake for the display it actually helped us to create a really cool table setup where we placed our cake on top of an old vintage record player. The cake was small enough to fit on top of the turntable and allowed us to incorporate a visual element that reflected our love of vinyl and record collecting. For the rest of our guests we purchased another small round 10" cake and large party sheet cake of their Birthday cake flavor with Vanilla frosting that our venue kept in their kitchen to cut and serve. After the evening was all said and done we were still left over with almost all of the two round cakes to take home with us when the night was over. For anyone planning an event on tight budget that still wants to incorporate Momofuku Milk Bar into their wedding we recommend ordering their party cakes instead.

We contacted Milk Bar rather last minute after our caterer dropped out, who was planning to provide our wedding cake for us. They were able to quickly provide us with a tasting box and place our order within a week. Given my fondness of naked cakes, they were a perfect choice for us. At the end of the night, everyone kept telling us how unique and delicious the chocolate malk cake was. We couldn't be more satisfied with the quality and value of Milk Bar's cakes.

We LOVED our Momofuku Milk Bar wedding cake! After looking for different wedding cake bakeries in and around NYC and getting so frustrated at the prices for something that most people don't even eat at a wedding, a friend suggested Milk Bar and we thought they would also be out of our price range. However, they weren't! We were able to do a 4-tier cake with 2 extra sheet cakes for our wedding and it was a reasonable price, SO SO delicious and looked so cool since it was naked. Totally completed our Manhattan wedding style. They were also very easy to deal with and totally professional.

We also were able to pick up a tasting kit from one of the stores (I also believe they can ship it to you) a few months in advance and we tried 8 different flavors. We decided on the Dulce de Leche first because of how good it tasted and second because the color of it looked most like a wedding cake (whereas some of the other flavors had dark sponge cake or were multi-colored).

Highly recommended if you're looking for a unique and GREAT tasting cake that people will actually like and want to eat at your wedding!!

We got our cake from Milk Bar -- since wedding was out of town, we had a friend pick the cake up in Brooklyn and drive it to the venue. Milk Bar packaged it in the special insulated shipping packaging, and it arrived in perfect condition. Our guests LOVED the cake. It was beautiful and delicious. We also ordered cookies for our welcome bags, which we had shipped to us. They were also a huge hit!

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! We had it delivered to Chicago, and there were no issues. We got the chocolate chip, passion fruit, coffee crumb cake, 4-tiers, and it was amazing. People could not get enough. The only problem was that we ran out, and we should have ordered more! I have never had a more delicious wedding cake.

We ordered the birthday cake for our wedding and it was delicious! We had it shipped to Florida, and it arrived a little lopsided, but the cake has a "messy" look anyways so we weren't that concerned and really what can you expect when shipping a cake. Very good customer service as well.

We both thought Momofuku's naked cakes were gorgeous, so we went with a four tier cake w/ alternating layers of salted pretzel and apple pie cake. To be honest I thought the apple pie was a bit too sweet, but the salted pretzel was delicious. I know there is a concern that naked cakes will dry out, but both flavors were incredibly moist.

Takeaway: the cake looked beautiful, tasted great, arrived on time, and they were incredibly easy to work with (e.g., responded to our email questions within minutes). Very happy we went with Momofuku.

We were looking for a "Naked Cake" and all bakeries we contacted were non responsive and unfamiliar. Momofuku made an AMAZING and DELICIOUS wedding cake; packed beautifully for pickup the day before. The cake was delicious, and we were thrilled with how it looked and tasted.

I can't even begin to tell you how delicious and beautiful our cake was! We wanted something unique and different and when i saw their cakes in a bridal magazine, i knew we had to order thru them.
We ordered a 4 tier cake each layer with a different flavor. Ours was Chocolate malt for the 14" cake, then dulce de Leche for the 10", Vanilla Birthday confetti for the 6" and Apple Mode cake for the 4". It was delicious and all gone!!
We did end up picking up our cake to save the shipping or delivery fee (it was almost more than half of what our cake cost). The pick up was one of the easiest things i did through out my wedding! They packed in insulated box (the inside had ice packs..it looked like a little fridge on the inside) and we put it in the back of our car. Easy Breezy! The cake did not move nor did it touch anything. It was perfect! You will not regret this cake!

Milk Momofuku Cakes are DELICIOUS! Everyone LOVED our wedding cake. It's a beautiful wedding cake that is so unique. The "naked wedding cake" idea was something we were really excited about and they made an awesome cake for us. Their flavors are so yummy and so fresh. We only had a three tier cake. We did the Dulce de Leche, German Chocolate, and Chocolate Chip with passionfruit curd (AMAZING!).

I ordered a two tiered wedding cake and a sheet cake in Dulce de Leche--it was amazing, people still take about it. Highly highly recommend Milk Bar wedding cakes--not only are they way more delicious than other wedding cakes I've had, they also are reasonably priced (as far as wedding cake costs go) and you can save even more if you go with a smaller cake for your cake cutting and a sheet cake for your dessert service. It's the same cake and flavor, but allows your caterer to have cake plated and ready to go while you cut the decorative cake. AND as an added plus we had the bottom layer to enjoy with friends and family the week after the wedding and the top layer to save for our first anniversary. It was still delicious a year, two apartments, and a new city later.

Milk Bar is surprisingly affordable given the name and the quality they provide for favors. What I was shocked about how professional they were. Everything was done through email which made life so much easier and they even handled our monogram stickers for us at a very affordable price! Everything went smoothly and everyone loved our cookie favors. Definitely recommend for a different spin on wedding favors!

Why anyone would get some fondant covered thing is beyond me. Momofuku cakes are the bomb. We got 3 tiers- pistachio, apple pie and chocolate malt. It was delicious and beautiful. Ordering was super easy too. The hardest part was picking the flavors!

We ordered our wedding cake from milk bar and it was delicious!!!! The ordering process was fun and easy and the staff was super helpful with any questions. I was a little nervous with shipping and storing the cake until the reception, but they packaged and shipped it perfectly and it was in perfect shape. We did a 4-tier cake with alternating layers, of the groom's pick - Chocolate Chip, which has passion fruit curd, chocolate crumbs, coffee buttercream and my pick - Strawberry-Lemon, which is made up of lemon cheesecake, pickled strawberry jam, milk crumbs. It was absolutely delicious, I'm tempted every once in a while to take a bite out of our "anniversary slice" lol. Our florist added some small flowers to some of the layers to dress it up a bit and our guests raved about how fun and different the cake looked.

We ordered a 4 tier wedding cake from Momofuku and OMG. The venue staff at Trump Soho commented it was the coolest and best looking cake they had EVER seen.

But they didnt even taste it!!! It was absolutely delicious. The guests were all raving about it and rightfully so. It was delicious.

They were on time, ordering was a cinch and the finished product tasted even better than than the tasting box we ordered. AMAZING.

Momofuku Milk Bar made our four-tiered wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious. I have a hard time going into our freezer every day and not eating the top layer before our one year anniversary! Everyone raved about our wedding cake and its unique look but mostly just how amazing it tasted. I'm a HUGE frosting fan so I was hesitant to have a wedding cake that lacked frosted sides but the cake is just so amazing that it doesn't need to be frosted all over. I would recommend this cake over your standard wedding cake any day!

Going with Momofuku Milk Bar for my wedding cake was one of the best wedding planning decisions I made. People are still telling me how delicious it was. I get told over and over that it's the best wedding cake that they've ever had. And I agree! Setting everything up was really easy and all payments are done quickly online. The tasting in the store is $25, and I highly recommend doing it. Some of the flavors look beautiful in pictures and sound great in the description, but end up being too sweet, etc. We went with the pretzel beer, chocolate malt, and mint chocolate. No regrets.

We were so excited on the day of our cake tasting day. It took us only 2 minutes to decide to go with MMB, but it was tough picking from 12 great, different flavors. Everything after that flowed super smooth.
We're so glad our guests were able to actually enjoy the wedding cake and rave about it.
Usually, by the time wedding cakes are passed around, guests are already full and the frostings are toooo much to even look at. The unpretentious(but AMAZINGLY delicous) cake by MMB was perfect for our wedding.

Momofuku made hands down the best wedding cake we've ever eaten. We loved the idea of the icingless cake because we have never been huge fans of cake icing. We had our florist add some flowers to each tier to give it a little decoration, and it was perfect. We ordered the 4 tier cake, for 120 guests, and there was plenty to go around, and we even had the top tier to take home with us. Each tier was a different flavored cake (guests can choose which flavors and if you want the tiers to be different or the same) - but the best of the four in our opinion was the mint chocolate cookies and cream (although the others came in very close behind - the pretzel cake was a unique and Momofuku-esque flavor (reminiscent of their famous cookies) , double chocolate is always a hit, and strawberry lemon for the non-chocolate lovers went over very well). We received rave reviews from many of our guests, who told us that they went up for seconds. The pricing was reasonable for wedding cakes, scheduling the tasting order was easy, as was placing the order and it was delivered on time the day of - no issues at all!

we got our wedding cake from Momofuku Milk Bar and it was absolutely spectacular! i can't decide if it looked better or tasted better. we did a tasting with Martine and chose the chocolate chip flavor (they are all delicious) in four tiers.

Martine was great to work with and after the initial tasting we handled everything via email. we intended to save the top tier for our 1 year anniversary....but it didn't make it. we ended up eating it in our hotel room after the wedding!

We wanted a more non-traditional cake where the focus was on the deliciousness, and Momofuku did not disappoint. All our guests raved about our different varieties (Apple Pie Cake, German Chocolate, & Pineapple Upside Down were the 3 different tiers) and the un-iced, unconventional presentation got a lot of attention too. If you're looking for something different and crazy delicious, this is a sure thing. Go in for a tasting and see for yourself!

We wanted a wedding cake that was a little different and one that tasted delicious. We did a lot of taste testing, but in the back of my mind I knew I wanted to check out Momofuku's Milk Bar cakes. We were able to do a tasting and tried about 12 different flavors, but ultimately decided on the chocolate chip with passion fruit curd and coffee buttercream. The staff was wonderful to work with, and really helped coordinate logistics on getting the cake from Brooklyn to Westport, CT where our venue was. Everyone was raving about it!

We couldn’t have been happier with our cake(s). Banished forever is the stale, lace-embossed sheet cake you expect from weddings. Momofuku is serving up delicious flavors that will have your guests clamoring for more – which is why we went a little overboard and got a 6-flavor tiered cake (with extras in the kitchen). Including the Birthday Cake one, because… why not? Delish!

I have no idea how they shipped a 4-tier wedding cake to Pittsburgh from Brooklyn without incident, but they did. I'm a huge Momofuku Milk Bar fan so i just had to have them do our cake. Best wedding cake ever!

My husband and I LOVE the cake truffles from Momofuku so using them as our favors was a no brainer. The customer service we received from Martine along the way was fantastic. She was responsive and was able to meet all of our requests. Needless to say, now our guests are just as in love with the cake truffles as we are. Our wedding was weeks ago and since we've had to take some of our family to milk bar to get more!

We chose the dulce de leche flavored cake for our wedding. There is no frosting on the outside but I promise you it is not missed. We added flowers on the cake for decor. Everyone was impressed with the cake and a little goes a long way. Such a great value all around. If your wedding has a rustic vibe this is the perfect cake. You will not be disappointed!

I ordered the cake with pistachio layers alternating with strawberry lemon layers. DELICIOUS! the cake was beautiful with some flower(poms and orchids--we added them for extra decoration) and best of all, it tasted great. Delivery to my reception in Manhattan was timely and ordering was easy. One would think a momofuku milk bar cake would be super expensive but compared to other vendors this cake was actually the least expensive one we found...must be the markup for the fondant and decorations that dont come with this cake but dont worry, we didnt miss it.

We ordered two medium sized "party" cakes to be shipped to North Carolina for our destination wedding. For us this was a better, more fun option than using the typical, local wedding cake bakers. We wanted something different and that our guests maybe had not had before. The cakes arrived to us as I had planned two days before the wedding in great condition and I kept them refrigerated until the day of. They were delicious and our guests loved them! They were a great decision for us and also cheaper than a traditional wedding cake option for our small wedding.

I saw the naked cakes made by momofuku milk bar and knew we had to have one for our wedding. Being that these are the only type of cakes they make they really know what they're doing. The flavor combinations are so unique and you just can't beat how dramatic they look. For a tasting, they prepare all the flavors they make into 2 bite tastings for you and your fiancé. There is a charge for the tasting and you have the option of going to their bakery in Williamsburg or having the cake tasting sent to your home if you're not close by. For the tiers, you can select any combination of flavors. We opted for a 4 tier salted pretzel wedding cake + extra round cake for a planned 150 guest wedding. Because the cakes are minimally decorated they are surprisingly affordable, however the delivery charge can really eat into your wedding budget. Almost 50% of the total cake budget went to pay for delivery of the cake to New Jersey. However, I think it was worth every penny since everyone raved about how delicious and incredible looking our cake was. The cake comes fully constructed already so no need to worry about the cake being put together at the venue. However, this does mean that any venue you select should have a fridge big enough to fit the cake or you'll have to pay for an insulated box to keep the cake cool before the reception. Also, if you'd like to add decorations to the cake, like flowers, you have to do that yourself after the cake gets delivered to the venue.

One critique I have is that we were initially told that because we were having the cake delivered to New Jersey they would only be able to deliver it in the morning despite the fact we were having an evening reception. This was wrong. It wasn't until a week prior to confirming the delivery date and time we found out that there are actually THREE available time slots for delivery - morning, noon, and late afternoon. This should be something front of the house people should be aware of.

We have been huge fans of Momofuku milk bar and their cakes for a long time so it was a no brainer to go to them for our wedding cakes. We wanted it to be fun but still simple so instead of doing tiered cakes we decided to get a few cakes. We orded 3 14" cakes in different flavors and then a small 6" cake as our personal cake and for the cake cutting. Everyone loved the different options- we went for strawberry, dulce de leche and chocolate. It was going to be a long drive so we ordered the insulated boxes which was perfect for transporting. Everyone could not stop raving about the cakes.

We chose to have our wedding cake baked by Momofuku after falling completely in love with their birthday cake truffle balls. My husband and I went for a tasting and fell in love with all the flavors and we knew it would be a hit at our wedding reception. The team at Momofuku was very professional and responsive and had answers to all our questions. The payment process was pretty flawless and left us resting assured that our cake was going to turn out great. After the event, our friends and family could not stop talking about the amazing cake we had and how unique it was. We were eating leftovers days after the event and it was still delicious! From a pricing standpoint, the price of the cake was on the higher side of cakes but it was well worth every penny.

This naked cake is a delicious and so different; everyone loved our cake's design and taste. We are definitely ordering this type of cake for other occasions. We recommend the carrot cake and strawberry cake, I want to order one right now just thinking about how creamy and light cake the tasted.

Communication happened through e-mail for efficiently, be patients with e-mails the bakery will get back to you and answers your questions but not right away. She is awesome and I am sure she is busy making other great pastries that milk bar offers;be patient and she will efficiently address any concerns through e-mail.

We wanted a cake that was both affordable and delicious and Milk bar fit the bill. We ended up choosing the Salted Pretzel Cake - a 6" display cake for cutting and a sheet cake to serve our guests. Our cake ended up costing the fraction of every other cake vendor out there. Everyone loved the flavor since it was definitely different from the usual wedding cake. We kept the 6" and we're still working our way through it almost a week later - but seriously the cake is so good. Just be sure to leave it out at room temp before cutting. I think ours had just been removed from the fridge so the frosting was still a bit stiff. But overall, great cake at a great price :)

We were skeptical about doing such a non-traditional cake for our wedding, but it ended up being the best decision ever! We picked the birthday cake flavor (being our favorite flavor) and it was DELICIOUS! All of our guests were very excited and pleased by our cake selection. Momofuku Milkbar was great to work with also. Very responsive and easy to deal with. This was also a bargain for a wedding cake, compared to typical wedding cake prices. The only issue (not even an issue really) was that there isn't very much customization you can do with them. Their cakes/flavors come as is. For example, we wanted to do white sprinkles instead of the confetti sprinkles but they wouldn't do it. Other than that though, fantastic vendor and delicious cake!

Momofuku Milk Bar makes the best wedding cake by far. Friends and family are still raving about our cake. Not only was it completely different looking then the average fondant covered cake, it tastes like heaven. We had a mint cookies and creme, which was moist and decadent. It had cookies and crème frosting, mint cheesecake, and chocolate crumbs. But if you are unsure do not hesitate to order the cake tasting sampler. Not one of my guests had ever tasted anything like it, making it a perfect close to a delicious dinner. I cannot wait until our first anniversary when we get to have our cake once again! The only downside is the pricy delivery fee but once you have a slice you will forget all about it.

I opted for a delicious 3-tier wedding cake without fancy frosting, which I knew all our guests would enjoy, over a typical wedding cake that may look nice but not nearly as yummy, and I would do it all over again.
My husband and I are huge fans of their entire menu of desserts, and it was pretty much a no-brainer when it came to where we would get our cake from. The only question was deciding what flavors to get (and they sure have many!). We got a cake sample pack for $25, and decided on two of their best: strawberry lemon for the top and bottom tiers, and german chocolate for the middle tier.
If you have not tried their cakes or other desserts, you're surely missing out. Our guests loved the cake and their cookies were a big hit at the end of the evening! The ordering process was quick and simple, and they of course had very friendly customer service.
The only glitch that I would note is the delivery, which was not very timely. I specifically requested a 1PM sharp delivery time when I placed the order and although this was confirmed by the sales rep, the delivery did not arrive until around 3PM on the day of. We had a 3:30pm ceremomy start time, and I wanted the cake to be set up and displayed during our ceremony. Luckily it arrived before the ceremony started, but it was a bit hectic at the last minute as guests were arriving while the cake had to be set up as they were being seated. It would had been a huge disappointment if it had arrived any later, but our catering staff took care of everything in a timely manner and it was smooth sailing from there.

Being from New York, we absolutely had to have something from Milk Bar at our wedding. During our years living in Manhattan, their cake truffles were always in high demand any time we visited family back in St. Louis or L.A. We ordered a wedding cake for a Sunday wedding, and they delivered it that Friday in perfect condition. It was a huge hit at the wedding, with only the lucky few managing to sneak away seconds before it was completely gone. Our only quibbles would be that (a) they don’t deliver on Saturday--which ordinarily won’t be a problem but our wedding was on a Sunday, so extra refrigeration was required on our end; and (b) we don’t recall them telling us that the cake would need some “assembly” after it was unboxed, which shouldn’t have come up as a surprise but we could have used instructions at least! Our Maid of Honor did a fine job putting it together, but there were toppings left over since it wasn’t clear where things were “supposed” to go.

Great wedding cake! My venue did not provide a wedding cake so I had to find one for the event. My wedding planner - Lyna from Kasal NY, recommended MomoFuku Milk Bar Cake. At first I wasn't sure, but after looking at other bakeries, I realized Milk Bar was about 30% cheaper than every other place and their cakes were naked (meaning they had no icing or fondant) so they are really beautiful and original. My husband and I did a tasting and absolutely loved their flavors. They have original flavors such as pineapple upside down cake, dulce de leche, and strawberry shortcake. We loved the fact that the flavors and the design were completely different and it was a big hit at our wedding. Everyone kept asking me where we got it. Favorite cake at your wedding? Yes!

We love Milk Bar Birthday cake, so decided to do a personal cake at our wedding. We had an extensive dessert bar for all guests and were able to accommodate dietary options instead of serving one cake. The confetti colors gave us a pop of color, and was perfect for a personal photo-opt. A great low-budget option if you don't plan to serve cake, and you want all your favorite things on your special day!

After searching around for wedding cakes and/or cupcakes, we actually found that renowned Milk bar was actually within our budget and priced relatively similar to lesser-known counterparts. I was trying to order our wedding cake about 5 months prior to our date but the milk bar team said they wouldn't take any orders for December weddings for several months. However, their website said they would accept orders up to 6 months in advance. As a bride trying to knock as much off my list as possible, I was annoyed that they wouldn't just accept my order, instead I had to keep it on the back burner and reach back up a few months later.

The cake turned out amazing and beautiful, just be wary that their staff is not very flexible and can conflict with what the website says.

We had Momofuku Milk Bar cookies as our favors. They were a hit with our guests! The process for ordering, picking up, etc. could not have been easier. We picked them up from the location nearest to us and paid online.

We created our own custom labels which Milk Bar then put on to each of the cookies for no extra charge. Was awesome!

Would definitely recommend Milk Bar cookies for favors. You can not beat them. They are so good!

Bride and groom were delighted to have a Milkbar cake. Very tasty, costs quite a bit less than the high end bakers, about the same as neighborhood-type bakers. Website gives all,options and prices, which is helpful. An extra “cutting cake” is much kess exoensive per serving. Not especially flexible ... you pretty much are limited to the optims explained on the website, but therefore yiu are not paying for artistry or fondant. Wedding specialists are very professional and good abiut followup.

I've had their cakes many times, and already knew it would be delicious. The cake was frozen beforehand, unbeknownst to me. Because of this we had issues cutting into the top layer. I can't fault the bakery as I had my coordinator pick up the cake. There may have been a lack of communication when the cake was dropped off at the restaurant. It should have been left out to thaw, I don't think it happened.

I have to say, when I complained after the fact, Milk Bar did make an attempt to appease my husband and I.

We ordered a Pretzel, Chocolate Chip & Dulce de Leche cake from Momofuku Milk Bar. Our guests LOVED it. It was so different and original - really a big hit. I did do a tasting (i think it was $25). But everything else was done online (payments etc). Email were answered within a few business days - that would be my only criticism - they could have responded more quickly BUT at the end of the day, the cake was there and REALLY good. I also like that it wasn't too big. I recommend going with them if you want something different than the same old wedding cake....

Didn't receive our full order

Grace was very easy to work with! She was responsive and polite and guided us through the shipping of our cake to Key West.

The Cake arrived safely (even with a slight delay at a shopping center in Tennessee!) and all was fine, planner assembled and everyone ooo'ed and aweee'd.

Gluten Free Cake truffles for those who don't eat wheat were a nice option.

The biggest downside is she forgot to ship an entire additional slicing cake for our event so we were severely lacking on one flavor (my groom didn't even get to try it). Of course once this issue was relayed were were refunded for the one cake and issued an apology which we appreciated. We also look forward to having more cake on our one year anniversary!

I'm a huge Milk Bar fan and knew I had to have a Milk Bar wedding cake. I loved the unique, raw, unfrosted presentation but unfortunately it just didn't taste as good as it looked. It tasted like something that had been frozen rock solid, then left out to defrost. Too dense and overly sweet. Disappointing.

The cake was great! Best wedding cake ever. That being said, they were barely responsive to me. We went in for our tasting, and Martine (on top of being 30 mins late) behaved as if we weren't even there. As if she didn't care for or need our business.

In all fairness, like I said, the cake was perfect, but the communication left A LOT to be desired.

Wedding Cakes

Cakes are wonderful and worth trying. Guest loved them. However, there was an error with shipping and we didn’t get two of the cakes. All they did was give us a gift card to buy more cakes.

Sad to report that we had a disappointing experience ordering our wedding cake from Mlik Bar. We were initially very excited to have their delicious cakes to share with our guests, but despite confirming our order multiple times via email leading up to the wedding, two sheet cakes we ordered (which we pre-paid for) never arrived at our venue. As a result, only half of our guests got wedding cake.

To add insult to injury, when we contacted Milk Bar about the error, the person we spoke with on the phone did not look into the issue for us. It took a follow up email for them to confirm that our cakes were never delivered. They processed a refund with a curt, unapologetic note. As this is the only wedding we hope to ever have, we felt completely mistreated and disrespected by their response. There are so many wonderful options for wedding desserts out there -- find a vendor that will treat your wedding like the special day that it is, and avoid Milk Bar.

Here is the thing: Momofuku makes a mean cake truffle. But I was pretty appalled that I started communicating with them about 9 months before my wedding and did the cake tasting 6 months out, but they told me I couldn't order until a month before. A month rolls around and despite the fact that I had documented communication from them (and even though their catalogue in the store had yet to be changed), they jacked up their prices by 20% and wouldn't honor their quote.

We needed 300 truffles for our guests, and their original price was $150/100, we we only needed 3. They then changed it to $150/80, which meant we needed to order 4. This put us WAY over budget. A month out, it was too late to find another baker in our budget. They also charged $75 for delivery less than a mile away, not including tip.

MMB makes a great product, but to not honor their quote is to take advantage of customers. Just uncool and left a bad taste in my mouth.
