Flawless from start to finish!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Mike Sinclair as our DJ for our wedding at Crystal Mountain Resort, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, he was incredibly professional, organized, and helpful every step of the way.
He took the time to understand our vision, was responsive to our questions, and made great suggestions that really helped bring everything together. On the day of the wedding, he handled everything seamlessly — from the ceremony music to the dance floor — and kept the energy up all night long!
Our guests are still raving about the music and how much fun they had. Mike truly went above and beyond to make our day special, and we’re so grateful for his talent and dedication. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing DJ!

10/10 DJ for our Wedding

My wife and I worked with Mike for our wedding and I cannot recommend him enough!
Mike was so helpful and easy to work with during the entire process. Not only did he exceed our expectations during the reception, but he also helped tremendously during the preparation leading up to our wedding day.

I would recommend Mike to anyone looking for DJ / MC services. I hope to have a chance to work with him again in the future!

The most amazing dj

Mike was nothing short of amazing. His communication, attention to detail, timeliness, and ability to be flexible and change things for me last minute were just a few of the things we loved about Mikes services! Great experience

Mike did a fabulous job at my brother’s wedding several years ago, so I knew I needed to book him when it came time for mine. He made everything very easy, very straightforward. I honestly didn’t think making our wedding timeline and wedding playlist(s) could or would be this simple. Mike is fantastic at reading the room and knowing if the event needs to liven up or if things show slow down. Great sound equipment for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. He had everything you could need! Mike was apologetic about minimal wind noice the microphone picked up during our very windy outdoor ceremony, but I assure you it was minimal, and we know that there’s nothing you can do about that. It was very nice to know that he not only noticed, but cared enough to bring it up to us. We are thankful that he was so easy to work with! 10/10, we would definitely recommend him!

Absolutely amazing

Very professional yet so fun!!!! He worked our wedding and it was a huge hit on the dance floor! He was so agreeable to last minute changes! His system sounds amazing and definitely gets people out dancing!!

We had a magical wedding and DJ Mike was a very big part of our happiness.

Mike was 100% into our event. His planning tools were helpful, his equipment was top grade, AND looked good at the venue. He timed our music perfectly, played what we had listed, played special requests, and was flexible. We had a small but complicated event and he handled everything with professionalism and a smile. We loved working with Mike and would highly recommend him.

Excellent Experience

Mike was fantastic. He had great communication throughout the entire process and the app he uses for setting up music and answering questions is very user friendly. He played a great variety of music and played all of the songs we requested. He did a great job of reading the crow and playing the right music at the right time. He was very flexible with the itinerary and made sure he didn't do anything on the itinerary until we were ready. The equipment provided to the officiant and everyone giving a speech was fantastic as well. Cannot recommend him enough.

Amazing DJ!

Mike was so wonderful to work with! Whenever we had a question leading up to the wedding, he was quick to respond and always replied with helpful information. He did an amazing job with our music and our requests. Our guests absolutely loved him and had a great time!

Amazing service

Mike did an amzazing job at out wedding in Gaylord, MI at the Otsego Resort. He kept the music flowing and the guests dancing. He made sure to include the playlist we put together and helped the ceremony to go off without a hitch. He was able to adjust on the fly when we had to move ceremony inside (grrr rain). I would highly recommend Mike Sinclair to DJ any event. Professional, friendly and punctual.

Fantastic from start to finish!

Mike Sinclair was fantastic from start to finish! In terms of communication, he was always easy to reach. His online forms were also really helpful for keeping us organized and planning out the reception. On the actual day of our event, he did a great job of keeping things moving… from grand entrance to speeches, first dances to cake cutting, etc (we did not have a wedding planner or photographer so we very much appreciated his direction!) Our guests had SO MUCH FUN dancing the night away – the dance floor was never empty. If the party hadn’t been required to end at 10pm, I think Mike would have had our guests dancing till midnight or later! Mike was great to work with and I would highly recommend his services.

Such a Pleasure to work with Mike Sinclair!!!! Would Hire AGAIN and RECOMMEND - 9/26/20 Wedding Date

DJ Mike Sinclair was awesome to work with from all the way from the very beginning up until the finalizing the last bit of details. He was very responsive and can tell just an overall good-hearted person, I enjoyed talking with him and I had very high confidence prior to the event he was going to run everything flawlessly due to his knowledge and attention to detail from our previous conversations. Mike was able to customize a few things for us, even for songs that we wanted that weren't readily available - getting downloaded audio files from YouTube recordings, adding songs not on the standard list, you name it, he does it all. Mike did an awesome job keeping everyone grooving during the cocktail hour and had the dancefloor packed all night. Such a fun night and I accredit Mike to helping make it all happen. Also, his website is very helpful tool to help pick and choose songs you're thinking about adding to your playlist. (He's got some of the best one's you'll need too!). Thank you Mike! I apologize for the delay in this review as well.

Mike was amazing!

We hired Mike to do our outdoor wedding in Bellaire and he was absolutely perfect. Great communication the entire time from planning to the night of. He did everything we asked of him and more and was very helpful in accommodating some of our special requests. We’d absolutely recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a stellar DJ for their wedding or special event.

We hired Mike for our Oct 2018 wedding and could not be happier about it! He was fantastic through the whole process and very professional! He has a great system online for filling out songs for the reception/ceremony and requests as well as handling payment (very user friendly). He even managed to get the first dance song that we wanted when I thought it was going to be impossible to do so! Mike is great to work with and very accommodating! Do yourself a favor and book him for your wedding as you will not be disappointed! Our guests were smiling and dancing the whole night! thanks again Mike Sinclair DJ services!!

Mike was absolutely amazing for our wedding. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything perfect for our big day! He even put together an awesome entrance song for us into the reception! Mike was great! He did an excellent job on our outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. Mike was prepared and accommodated a number of last minute (and even mid-event) adjustments due to Mother Nature. He was very responsive during the planning phase and provided online tools to help set things up. We had an officiant, readers, and a musician at our ceremony and all of them sounded great.

Mike was great. He was flexible up to and including the day of the wedding and wanted to keep us happy. He played the songs we asked him to, kept us on time, and announced everything appropriately without being over the top. Mike Sinclair was a DJ on a mission and that mission was to make our daughters wedding reception one that would be enjoyed and remembered by all. We must say, he exceeded that mission in every respect. Mike was emcee for all of the reception ‘events’ and was pleasant to listen to and a personality to match. The dance floor was full ALL night long with all ages and the music was over the top. He played all of the Bride & Grooms preselected music and accomodated all of the requests that came his way as well. Unfortunately, the venue had a firm time that we had to stop, which was probably a good thing for Mike as the crowd did not want him to stop and would have continued on into the early hours of the next day. We couldn’t recommend a better DJ with the personality and equipment that Mike brought to the night.

Mike was so great to work with.... I had a bunch of songs I wanted, and he took the list and let us know that they would be better during the dinner but that he would do whatever we wanted. We took his advice and it made our dinner music fun and enjoyable, and after dinner EVERYONE was on the dance floor. Mike knew how to keep the party going and we ran out of room on the dance floor! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Thanks Mike!

Mike was an amazing DJ. His online form was great to fill out and to help plan the music for the whole event. He reviewed my form about a week prior to my event and reached out to me for clarification (I had forgotten to fill out a few items). He was always quick to respond. I asked for our first dance song to be faded out at a certain point in the song which he did. Mike played a lot of music that got everyone on the dance floor. Parents, aunts, uncles, little cousins. A good portion of my guests were on the dance at any given time and there were 20-30 of us still dancing when the party was over. Would recommend to anyone.

Mike was absolutely amazing to work with and very responsive very quickly! He was able to be flexible whenever I made custom requests and last minute changes. He played an awesome variety of music and had the dance floor full the whole night! So many guests at our wedding said how great our DJ was and we couldn't agree more! Mike was an incredible DJ for our wedding. Before our special day, Mike took time to put together a special mix of songs for our daddy/daughter dance. He even edited it when asked for additional songs. His website made it easy to choose requests for the wedding and he was very responsive anytime I had a question. At the wedding, guests did not want to leave the dance floor! I would highly recommend him for any event. Thanks again for everything Mike!

Mike was a true blessing at our wedding! He stopped at nothing to make sure our night was wonderful and lively! He did a great job of keeping the guests entertained and dancing! His ability to read the crowd and understand the music people want, is amazing!! He has a true passion for music, and it shows my his music collection! Anything and everything you can think of! Mike is a phenomenal DJ. He is organized, fun, friendly, and helped us pull off a perfect reception. His music and announcing throughout the evening were great. The music volume was just right, and he got everyone out to the dance floor with a great blend of fast and slow songs. He has an incredibly easy-to-use client planning area of his website that made us feel at ease with our reception timeline, song list, etc. His communication was excellent during our engagement, and he was always quick to respond to questions. Out of all my vendors, Mike was my absolute FAVORITE to work with. First of all, he responded to my emails within hours, even minutes. Second, he was so accommodating. Even with last minute changes that I felt guilty making, he assured me that it was MY day and he would do whatever to accommodate my needs. His website is so helpful and easy to navigate and lets you and your guest request and practically make your own playlist. During the reception he took all my requested songs and made them flow together effortlessly. He took requests from guest and was very friendly!! I can't say enough good things about Mike.

Mike was an awesome DJ for our wedding! We have received so many compliments from friends and family about him and the wonderful job he did at our wedding. His equipment was great during our outside ceremony. Everyone could hear every word, even though it was a windy day. He kept the dance floor full during our reception too! Absolutely amazing! Mike made our reception an absolute blast from start to finish. He got all the requests in with perfect timing, to keep the party rolling all night long. We also used him as our Master of Ceremonies, and once again, total perfection. We had many guests afterward, say just how awesome the DJ was. And with all that work he puts in, he's truly a really nice guy too :-)
His cost is about average but still a little cheaper than some. Plus he drove 3/4 the way across the top of the state for us without batting an eye. He made our night one to remember, so to him we will always be thankful.
We would definitely recommend Mike to anyone looking for a wedding DJ anywhere in northern Michigan!

Mike was incredibly professional, flexible, and did a great job incorporating the types of music and artists we enjoyed the most into our day. I would 100% recommend him for any other wedding or event. He was very responsive and easy to get ahold of. Made announcements as they came and helped keep things moving on schedule. I never had to wait long for a response to any of my questions, his website is awesome, and the music for the ceremony and reception were perfect. He even mastered a song I recorded for my bride to be to walk down the aisle to! We got married in Glen Arbor at the top of a mountain that didn't have power. Mike had the perfect setup (even purchased new for it) that was crystal clear and flawless. He kept the party going all night and mixed the perfect amount of our requests with songs he knew would keep people dancing. We had a huge crowd dancing all night! Trust me on this......a bad DJ can ruin your night. A good DJ can make it. Mike 100% helped make this the best experience of our lives. Don't look for another DJ. Hire Mike. He will be the best vendor you work with hands down.

Mike Sinclair was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was so helpful and accommodating during the entire planning process, and his ability to make an event flow seamlessly is very impressive. We had a large wedding with some unorthodox family situations, and he was able to take it all in stride and make sure everything went according to schedule and that everyone had a great time. I have never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding, and the groom and I didn't have to worry about a thing! If you want a fun, stress free wedding and excellent service at a great price, you should hire Mike.

This review is way overdue.... We were married at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa at the end of September. Our wedding day was perfect and was due in part to a great group of vendors, DJ Mike included. Mike was very professional as well as personable. My wife and I had one request to Mike; keep everyone on the dance floor for as long as possible... Mike succeeded. He came ready with a vast array of music, everything from country to hip hop and a selection of Latin music (we had a very diverse guest list). We also really appreciated that he was very cutting edge with music technology that he brought to the wedding - it really showed that he cared for his craft.

Mike made the event incredibly easy for us and we only exchanged a handful of phone calls. His website was so easy to navigate and straightforward that we didn't have to contact him at all except for a few special requests just to make sure he could accommodate our wants/needs (which he had no problem doing). He's very flexible and will pretty much do anything to make your day special for you. Mike did an awesome job all the way around for our wedding on Labor Day 2015. His communication up front was timely and thorough and his online platform for music selection and coordination of event details made things super simple for us. Mike was an absolutely excellent DJ! I found him at a bridal show in the area and booked him shortly after. Out of the many DJs I talked to, he was very approachable and easy going. He was very flexible and we have had several guests tell us how great he was. He did a great job of playing all of our must-plays while also reading the crowd - the dance floor was packed all night long! He was super professional and did a great job helping us manage the flow of the evening - something that was invaluable since I didn't have anyone besides myself coordinating things.

He responded to all of my emails very quickly in the time leading up to our wedding, which was great since he gave us advice on timing that we used when putting our timeline together.

He is also very honest and a great value! In fact, we booked him over a year before our wedding. At that time his prices were a little lower - of course we found this with many of our vendors, as everyone tends to increase their prices each year. In addition to paying the normal booking fee so long ago, we also paid for a few extra hours of service because at that time we thought our reception would start earlier. I figured it was safer to pay for more and not use it than to risk running into problems adding more time later. In the weeks before the wedding, we decided that we did not need the extra time with Mike that we already paid for, but I figured at this point since I was already getting last year's prices it was all a wash anyway. I was very impressed when Mike let us know he would be sending us a refund for those extra hours we had paid for so long ago since we didn't end up needing them. Definitely a honest and professional DJ.

I hope this info helps! Overall we feel we couldn't have made a better choice for such an important part of our wedding!

DJ Mike Sinclair did a great job with our wedding. He kept things on schedule, and was great at making announcements. My wife and I provided about 20 songs to Mike and he did the rest. He knew when to play the right type of music based on who was on the dance floor to keep them dancing. He is a stickler for only the best quality equipment. He is a huge audio geek. If you talk to him about audio equipment he gets excited and will tell you everything you want to know about it. This is a man that is dedicated to his job and has fun doing it as well.

Also, Mike has a website that you log into and fill out everything you want him to do for your event. It's detailed! You can also request songs on the site and allow guest to have there own login to request songs as well. He is organized!

I would 100% recommend him.

Mike Sinclair was amazing!!! When my new husband and I got engaged he told me there was only one thing he really wanted for our wedding. He didn't care where it was at or how many people were going to be there, the only thing he wanted was Mike Sinclair as our DJ. I was so happy when I found out the Mike was available for our wedding date. Mike was very accommodating and always kept in touch. He would respond to any questions I had quickly, usually the same day I asked and within an hour or so. He was easy going and fun to work with. Mike was there to make our day special and to make sure we had fun. Mike also had a helper there to help him when he was setting up. His helper fixed the tents that were set up by the venue for my wedding. It was pouring rain that morning and water was coming in everywhere and his helper was going above and beyond to make our day great too. I loved all of my vendors for my wedding reception, but without Mike's incredible organization and planning the evening would not have been nearly as spectacular as it was. Mike was recommended to us by our reception center (Foxhill Event Center) in Cadillac, MI. After reviewing other local DJ's, I was blown away by the professionalism of his website, the wonderful reviews by his previous clients and then also impressed by his quick reply to my emails when I had questions. There were times we played phone tag due to our schedules, but the great thing about Mike was the ease to speak with him on the phone. This was very important to me initially because we live on the opposite side of the state and we did not think we would be able to meet before the event. One weekend when we were up north and meeting with other vendors, Mike took time out of his Sunday to drive an hour to meet with us for about 20 minutes, for the sole reason that it will make us more comfortable on our big day and to make us happy with our decision. After meeting with him, my husband and I were sold. On the big day of the wedding, Mike was awesome. We got off schedule a bit, of course, and he was very kind and patient with us as we were scurrying around the reception trying to talk with every guest. He kept us on track and also kept the dance floor completely full the whole night, which was our biggest goal! Everyone had so much fun and was bummed the night ended so quickly. I love looking back at pictures and seeing the lighting changing from white to green to blue all in one song. Overall, we were completely happy that we got to work with Mike and would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding day!

My husband and I were looking for a bit of a different mix for our wedding music and Mike was extremely accommodating and very able to roll with our somewhat non-traditional style. DJ Mike and his wife Kim are the absolute best DJ service in Northern MI! DJ Mike never played a bad song and had everyone dancing the entire time, and he has that great radio voice for intro's and announcements too! His song choices were planned out perfectly for the entire night. Kim was a huge help and great addition to this DJ team. She had my timeline and almost became a wedding cordenator. She kept everything on time and made it so easy for me to relax, she had everyone in the spots they were suppose to be at every second! Their equipment was very reliable, they were way early everytime we met and were easy to get ahold of at all times. Mike DJ’d our wedding at Treetops Resort in Gaylord, MI last July. He really went above and beyond to help us have the best reception ever. First, we had the hardest time picking a song. As it was we planned the wedding, long distance, in 2 months. So, it was hard to remember every important detail, like the fact that we needed a song to dance to. Mike gave us suggestions and feedback and helped up pick the perfect song.

I really appreciated that he was able to come and set up in the reception room the night before, it was just one less thing that we had to worry about that morning.

At the reception, he was great at getting the party moving. He even announced the score to the Tiger game, much to everyone’s appreciation! It was so nice to have a fun, local DJ and it felt like he was there to have a good time with us.

Mike was professional from top to bottom. He had a very professional appearance and was very approachable and easy to work with. His equipment is all high quality and he brings back up equipment for those “just in case” situations. He has a huge music library which really helps when selecting specific songs or music genres. If you hire Mike, you’re getting someone with great microphone presence. He’s a professional radio DJ, and that was very apparent during the ceremony and reception because things went so smoothly. He does a great job without ever becoming the focal point. He makes sure the focus and attention stays where it belongs...on the Bride and Groom, wedding party, etc. He’s there for you, not for his own self promotion, like some DJs are. We would recommend Mike to anyone looking for a DJ for your wedding or special event.

DJ Mike Sinclair did a really great job with the music at my wedding reception. He was flexible and willing to work with our unoffical reception time line and he was very prompt at returning emails and answering any questions or concerns that I had.
