Great experience all the way around

Was a pleasure having Mike as the wedding DJ for our Middleton Place wedding. He was very professional throughout the whole process, and ultimately created the perfect vibes for the reception! Choosing songs from the DJ software was very straightforward and intuitive, and he was very prompt with his communication. He was even kind enough to meet with my now-wife and I for coffee the week of the wedding to go over any final questions, which really helped ease any nerves we may have had. Overall, highly recommend!

Highly reccomend!

I am a wedding planner who worked with Mike in October. From the beginning he was very responsive and detailed. The weekend of the wedding there were a few logistical problems that were not Mike's fault at all, yet he still acted like a true professional in working with me to find solutions. I think I can speak for all planners when I say nothing is better than having vendors that are team players like Mike. Ceremony and cocktail hour were executed perfectly, and during the reception the dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT LONG. I would highly recommend this DJ for any wedding or special event!

DJ Mike Bills = A Great Time!

We absolutely loved having Mike as our DJ! My husband and I have a very eclectic taste in music, and definitely aren't the typical "couple" in many ways, so we really wanted to make sure we selected a DJ who would be just as excited for our day as us! Mike truly went above and beyond to get to know us as couple, and truly tailored the music to our wants. He had everyone up and dancing the whole night, young and old alike! So many guests stopped us simply to tell us how much they loved the music, and that it wasn't the "stereotypical" music you expect at every wedding. We would hire him all over again, and cannot recommend him enough! Thank you, DJ Mike Bills!

Mike Bills Entertainment provided DJ and MC services for our wedding and it was perfect. He worked with us for a few months prior to the wedding to ensure all our needs were met. He provided music at the ceremony and kept the party moving through our 4 hour reception. Everyone commented on how great it was. Mike goes above and beyond and I FULLY recommend using Mike for your next social event, wedding, etc.

Amazing DJ that will always put you first!

Mike was an amazing DJ for our wedding! He was prompt, attentive, and flexible throughout the whole planning process. Mike tailored to our needs and what we wanted - and he delivered when the day finally came! Last minute, I wanted to throw in a special dance with my grandfather. No questions asked, Mike made it happen - a moment my Poppie and I will cherish forever. He kept the party alive all night and the guests didn't want to leave! I recommend him for all your event needs :)

Mike is the man!

Mike was an amazing DJ at our wedding. Met with us prior at the venue, worked with my wife extensively on the music list, and was very flexible. He was generally a very nice guy, and he is a master of his craft. He was professional, friendly, and above all a good DJ! I couldn't reccomend Mike enough for whatever event you're planning!

Excellent Beyond All Expectation

Mike Bills was hands down the best part of my wedding! He was incredibly responsive thought the process and worked hard to get a complicated custom playlist together. He kept the flow of the reception at a great pace with the music and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. With the amount of specialty music I wanted, Mike went above and beyond at mixing them all seamlessly. Hiring Mike was the best decision I made for my wedding.

A DJ that truly cares!

Mike was flexible, easy to work with, and incredibly reliable. Most importantly however, Mike cared about making a connection with us! He realized how big of a part he was in our big day, and made the effort to meet up with us in person (as well as virtually). Mike definitely knows his stuff when it comes to music. He works with your schedule 100%. Me and my husband have crazy work schedules & Mike knew we had to do things last minute with some of our planning. He was very understanding. He wants to know every detail of your liking with music for your big day. My guests had an amazing time. Also, Mike supports the military as well which is huge! We were very appreciative for his outstanding services. Pricing is great as well

Above and beyond!

Mike was the perfect DJ for our wedding! He was flexible with us in rescheduling our wedding and meeting with us to discuss our vision for our wedding ! I was worried about not having a wedding planner/coordinator, but Mike stepped up and gave direction to the reception and kept the party going! Small downtown Charleston wedding!

Mike was so great! Being from out of town, we were kind of booking people blindly! He was our first vendor to call me personally and he made sure to meet with us when we landed in SC to make sure we were all on the same page. He was great with our guests and did exactly what we discussed. The wedding was so great and the music matched. We highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a DJ!

Best dance party!!

Mike Bills was amazing to work with!! From the get go, he was extremely responsive and motivated to meet with us, check out the venue, and make sure he was meeting our needs. We were planning from across the country and he still made time to meet with us twice while we were in town, once the week of the wedding! He worked with us on special requests, got custom songs as needed, and was committed to making our wedding a party for everyone! We got so many compliments on our music. He was very professional on the wedding day and everything flowed perfectly together and turned out so wonderful! Highly recommend working with Mike!!

Mike Bills is Awesome!

Mike was an excellent DJ! Everyone had a great time at our daughter's wedding reception. We wanted people to dance all night and they did. Mike made sure the music kept people on the dance floor. I could not recommend him more highly. He was professional, easy to work with, very kind and made sure our guests had fun. Mike arrived early, made sure everything was set up and working properly - ahead of time This was a once in a life event for us and Mike really conveyed that he understood that. Best night ever!

Low-key professional with great taste and punctual emcee skills

It's taken me a long time to get around to writing this because I wasn't really sure how I felt about the service right afterwards. The biggest thing I wish would have happened was that he kept us on schedule, and didn't wait for me to go talk to him about something to do it, like the cake cutting, first dance, etc. But I have to be fair because I also didn't task him with being the timekeeper of the night ahead of time, so he didn't know that was what I was expecting of him. And looking back on it, everything else was flawless. We were coming from out of town for our wedding and he was available to us via Skype for any questions we had. He met with us twice before the wedding - first time he drove to us to go over the final list. The site that he has set up where you can pick your own music and update it immediately was a huge timesaver - both for him and for us and that was definitely a selling point. We could see what he had on file, and seeing a full list of songs with times on them was super helpful for gauging what we wanted to play. We did about 2/3 our choices, and 1/3 he picked. The songs he picked were incredibly appropriate and got people dancing!
He was super professional and flexible about everything, even came out to our rehearsal at no extra charge to scope out the area and figure out where he wanted to set up. There were no technical problems that night, and it was everything I wanted in a music vendor apart from my initial note. I spent the ENTIRE night dancing to a lot of songs I love so it was a great evening. Ladies looking for a wedding DJ - Mike looks a little nerdy but he's definitely your guy - he'll take care of everything you need and never makes it seems outrageous or like a huge effort. If I had to do it over again I would pick him in a heartbeat and just give him some more instructions that I failed to communicate. Best bang for your buck for sure. Thanks again Mike!

We love Mike! I selected Mike as my wedding DJ after my wedding planner and I reviewed tons of websites. Mike's services were straightforward and affordable, and after one phone call I knew he was the right choice for our wedding. I didn’t want to go through a big event company because I wanted to know the DJ at my wedding and, most of all, I wanted my DJ to know me. I think I met one-on-one with Mike more than any of my other vendors! He really wanted to be sure that he understood 100% what my fiancé and I wanted, and what our guests would enjoy, and in the end Mike nailed it! Our guests were on the dance floor the whole night (and they ranged from age 17 to 88!). Mike stuck strictly to my instructions, and the one time a guest made a request that he didn’t think I would like, he stood his ground until I gave the okay. Mike is a perfectionist and he does not make mistakes. It was a great party and we even convinced Mike to stick around for a post-reception drink with the late night crowd! If you want a personalized experience with someone who obviously loves what he does and goes above and beyond to make YOU happy, then hire Mike. He’s a gem!

Mike Bills needs to be your wedding DJ! He truly cares about you as a couple and makes sure you and your fiancé get exactly what they want. My husband and I had an amazing time at our wedding and everyone danced all night and didn't want the playlist to end! Mike was also great about making sure to keep to the schedule I had given him and personally let me know when he would be playing a song we had requested. Mike was the DJ for our wedding reception at the Francis Marion Hotel and he was fantastic! Months before the reception he sent us a client log in area where we were able to select our songs as well as put in all important information, this made it very easy for us! He met with us the week before the wedding to go over pronunciations and any final song requests. We were impressed with his professionalism and he kept the party going right up to the end of the night! We highly recommend him for any event in need of a DJ.

Mike was fantastic to work with from day one! He went above and beyond to make sure he was clear on every detail for our big day including the names of our bridal party, playing specific genres of music that are not mainstream, and assuring plenty of time to set up before the party started. My husband and I could not be more pleased with Mike's services and we would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a professional DJ.

Ricky and I both loved every ounce of working with Mike! Not only did he deliver exactly what he promised and what we spoke about prior to our day, he was EXCITED ALONG WITH US to help celebrate our special day!!! He was always accessable, he listened, gave feedback and asked questions to better get to know me and Ricky as a couple. He made sure to stay involved with us; even pushing nearly 10 months in advance! Whatever questions or emails I sent, he responded quickly! We even had several in person meetings to make sure we were all on the same page! I saw him before our ceremony, on our wedding day and he gave me the most heart warming, genuine smile! Mike Bills was absolutely fabulous! My daughter's wedding was held in the Gold Ballroom at the Francis Marion Hotel 9/23/17. It was very important that we have a great DJ. She wanted a party that would keep everyone on the dance floor. Mike delivered! He did a great job of wedding party introductions, he worked with us ahead of time to make sure he understood exactly what Katie wanted and "didn't want". He adjusted the volume perfectly. It was loud enough to make it feel like a party, but wasn't so loud that guests couldn't carry on conversations when they were not on the dance floor. He edited the Couples and Father/daughter dances exactly as requested. Once the dancing started it didn't stop until the end of the evening. Fabulous, exactly what we envisioned. There is not one thing I would change. Great job Mike!!!!

Mike was our DJ for our wedding on October 8, 2017 at the Rice Mill in Charleston. Not only is he very reasonably priced for the value you get, but what an awesome person to work with. Once you start working w/ Mike, you get a custom logon where you can work on your music for your pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception music. We were able to go through lists of songs and add them to "must play," "maybe play," and my favorite "do not play" lists. This was extremely helpful so that Mike was able to understand our style and what kind of reception we envisioned having.

We were out of state and Mike met with us one on one when we got in town a few days before the wedding. Then, since I was concerned about how our reception entrance was going to go, he offered to come to our rehearsal and we were able to practice the entrance. He really went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him to any bride looking for a reliable, fun, and trustworthy person to work with. Everyone complimented the music at our wedding and had a great time! Thanks again Mike!

Mike Bills was such a joy to work with! From my very first interaction with him, he was extremely professional. He went above and beyond by visiting our venue a couple months prior to the wedding without me even requesting. He was very patient as we worked through creating our playlist and talked us through the process since it wasn't something we had ever done. Mike provided the music for our wedding and it was great! I had included a few "dancing" tracks on my playlist and Mike was able to judge the mood of our guests and played tracks on our list that fit it. Everyone was just hanging out and talking and he did a great job at determining exactly what tracks would fit the mood. In all honesty, Mike was an excellent DJ. The day I sent in a request for a quote, he quickly responded (even at 9 PM) and gave me the low down on what I could expect. Then, after many emails, and a face-to-face meeting, we were able to fully lay out what we exactly wanted and Mike delivered. All of our guests were dancing until we had to kick them out.

I would also say that he is very reasonably priced for the area. Anyone looking to save a bit of money, but get quality service, should definitely go with DJ Mike.

Mike Bills was excellent! He was so incredibly organized, and helped explain the complexity of wedding music to us that we didn't consider. His experience in the industry is obvious - he knew which songs would be a hit, which would not be so suitable. He also was very good at balancing what's popular and what we like, since they weren't always the same thing. We got to access his website and update our requested playlist throughout the year which was really helpful, so we didn't have to constantly bother him when we wanted to add/delete one song. He was also great about scheduling meetings before the date, and making sure every detail was nailed down.
His equipment was also excellent - it was an outdoor ceremony and everything was set up so that the guests could hear the speakers.
Overall he was a very good choice, and very well-priced for all the work I know he put in to our big day.

Before choosing Mike Bills as our wedding DJ, we looked at several companies and DJs and looked over the reviews for all of them. We chose Mike Bills because of the overwhelmingly great reviews he got and I am so glad we did! They were all spot on! Mike was great to work with, quick to respond, came to our rehearsal to do a run through with us. The pre-ceremony music I wanted was an instrumental soundtrack and he got it just for us! In the days after the wedding, I can't tell you how many people have said to me how great the DJ was. A great DJ makes for a great wedding, and Mike Bills made ours perfect!!

Mike was kind, courteous, professional, and creative! We thoroughly enjoyed working with him for our destination wedding at Folly Beach. Mike was very responsive throughout the whole prep process and took the time to ensure we were aligned with our goals. Mike Bills is an incredible DJ. From the very beginning, we were impressed with his professionalism, his efforts to get to know both of us and our musical tastes, and how accessible he was. Mike was PHENOMENAL throughout both the planning process and the day of the event. Due to inclement weather, the planned arrangement got moved around a bit but he was great about it. He answered any emails, texts, or phone calls promptly and was perfectly willing to make several last-minute changes for my husband and I. The military discount was also helpful. Mike Bills was an absolute pleasure to work with. He took time to meet with us several times before the wedding and professionally handled our borderline unreasonable music expectations. Having a quality DJ was extremely important to us and he eased our concerns right from the start.

Mike came to the rehearsal to solidify some details for the event. He arrived at the site in a timely fashion and was equipped for the ceremony and reception with plenty of time to spare. Mike provided a great flow to the reception and really did a phenomenal job of keeping the party live despite the many restrictions we placed on music selections.

Countless guests commented on how great he was throughout the night. We cannot say enough how absolutely classy and professional Mike Bills is as a person and entertainment coordinator.

His website is top notch and music selection is second to none. He has all the resources you need to plan your event. We didn't even have a wedding coordinator because his process was so thorough we were confident that the timing of the reception was in good hands.

If you want a DJ who can properly pace your reception, keep the party going strong, assist with timing and leave the cheesy typical DJ nonsense at home, Mike Bills is the only choice.

Wedding planning can be a headache and this is one decision that can be easy and stress-free.

Mike was awesome. He was very flexible in arranging meetings prior to the wedding. We met twice to discuss music choices, and flow of wedding events. He was more than willing to meet as often as we would have liked.
Most importantly, to us, there were no hokey songs/dances. No chicken dance, bunny hop or any cheesy wedding games. He was very professional, and played EXCELLENT music.
Every guest has complimented us on our DJ, and the variety of music that he played.
His rates are very affordable, especially when compared to other DJ's in the area. I would book him again for any future events.

When we were stuck without a DJ two months before our wedding, we were in a panic! Mike Bills absolutely saved us by agreeing to be our DJ and making room for us in his schedule! We didn't have a wedding coordinator, and Mike was fabulous in making sure we had everything planned out beforehand and kept us on track at the reception, which went very smoothly thanks to him! Mike took the time to meet with us a few different times and discuss what type of music we wanted and what sort of atmosphere we wanted for our reception as well as our ceremony. Even though our music was probably a bit out of the ordinary, Mike was a great sport and helped us choose some amazing bands to help fit what we wanted. My husband and I used Mike Bills as our DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception and we were so, so pleased with our choice! We were attracted to Mike's "no cheese" stance and he definitely delivered. He was very flexible and accommodating about meeting to discuss his services and again to go over our music selections and timeline. He was very responsive and also really willing to search for a particular version of our first dance song that my husband wanted. The catalog of music he has available is extensive and the planning tools on his website are easy to use. Our guests had a great time at the reception and multiple people commented on how much they enjoyed the songs that were selected. I would highly recommend Mike - he's great to work with!

Mike Bills is a fantastic DJ. Throughout the entire wedding-planning process, it was evident that Mike really cared about the success of our event. I was a very busy bride during the early planning process, and Mike was actually the one who was contacting me to get the ball moving!!! However, he did so in a way that was never stressful nor intrusive. He was always there for me via email or phone to discuss the timeline of the event, and the music selections. We did not have a coordinator or day-of planner, and Mike played a huge role in ensuring our event ran smoothly (which it did!). He is professional, and will help you every step of the way. Many guests came up to me during the reception, and commented that our music selection was excellent, and that they were having a great time. I really feel that I owe a lot to Mike for making sure our wedding was the happiest day of our lives!

I knew from the first time I spoke with Mike, months before the wedding, that he was going to be the perfect musical addition. He is very professional both in person and on the phone. He did a GREAT job emailing us reminders to make sure that he played the music that we desired and the music we didn't want to be played. Mike is flexible and if there was a song that he didn't have before the wedding, he made sure that he did have it the day of the wedding. He dressed professionally, assisted with announcements perfectly, and made sure that everyone was having a wonderful time. There was absolutely ZERO hassle and ZERO complaints. My wife and I agreed that Mike was the perfect addition to our special day. I would recommend him to anyone for any event. Thanks for everything, Mike.

Not one to select the extremely strong response for all categories on surveys, but Mike literally matched all these areas.

When we initially didn't fill out his online form for music preferences, Mike adapted and engaged in our preferred way to think about the ceremony (a prolonged, open-ended conversation through email, calls and coffee chats). And Mike politely, efficiently moved the process along (eg, never at a harrassing level) from meeting first 8 mos out from the date, occasionally pinging us for new ideas. On two occasions he drove out to our hotels in Charleston to brainstorm and check-in.

Day of the wedding he was supurb. There really is nothing to say as the performance matched all of our expectations after the joint investment of time and energy.

A great value for the services rendered at the price charged. We definitely recommend Mike.

I hired and booked Mike for Robert and Nicole's Wedding Reception. He did a fantastic job of listening to what the bride and groom wanted and expected in terms of song selection, reception flow, and special requests. Mike was a pleasure to work with. His communication with me and my daughter was unmatched. We started late (due to our fault) but Mike kept us on schedule and still managed to adapt with our changes. I highly recommend him, and would use him again if given the opportunity.
