A unique and fun experience for our wedding guests

Our guests had so much fun at our wedding reception thanks to Midwest Dueling Pianos. The performers were a huge help right from the start of the night helping us get from the entrance to the cake cutting to the speeches and everything ran smoothly. The show was a lot of fun, and I think it was a great alternative to a DJ, which neither of us wanted for our wedding reception. People were dancing all night and raving about it the next day! Brian went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the gentleman who played for our wedding in Wilmington NC. They took the time to understand the atmosphere we we're looking for and what was important for us to have at our reception. They are so much more than just piano players, they are true entertainers. All of our guests said they could not believe how much fun it was to have dealing pianos. Our wedding was three months ago and people are still raving about the gentlemen from Midwest Dueling Pianos. We simply could not be happier with the service they provided. If you are thinking of booking with them, do so. You will not regret the decision.

Modest Dueling Pianos did a great job! All my wedding guests loved them and they did great with last minute song changes. The only thing is that I would have changed is there were some songs that I wanted to be DJed like the Cupid Shuffle that didn't get played.

We went out on a limb and booked this company for our wedding reception. Having been to numerous dueling piano bars across the east coast, we knew our guests would love the concept. Midwest Dueling Pianos did not disappoint. Our guests are still talking about how fun the reception was. All parties involved were great to work with. Highly recommended.

My husband and I searched all over for a reasonably priced dueling pianos band for our wedding. Midwest Dueling Pianos was the best decision we made for our reception! They are very reasonably priced, and definitely worth every penny! We wanted to have a party atmosphere for our reception and they definitely delivered. We still have guests commenting on how much fun they had at our reception because of Midwest Dueling Pianos! My brother said that our reception has ruin all other weddings for him because it can't be outdone! If you are looking for a fun atmosphere for your reception, then look no further. Midwest Dueling Pianos is the best.

By far the best part of our wedding! The dance floor was filled for 4 straight hours and everyone raved about how good the guys were! They were so easy to work with and really tailored the music to our style! Good variety of classics, country, and hip hop/r &b! We looked at a couple other dueling piano companies and none of them compared!!! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience!

I wish we could give 10.0 instead of 5.0 because they were literally THAT GOOD!!!! They had Everyone on the dace floor all night,our guests are still complementing how awesome they were and how much fun they had!!

Midwest Dueling Pianos was the absolute best. Not only are they both talented artists, they truly are good people and care about your needs. The best thing I felt was beneficial is the fact they truly know how to read a crowd... if one song makes people start to do the "walk away to the bar" move they easily and smoothly transition into something that is a crowd pleaser. Definitely recommend.

We had the BEST time at our wedding. Midwest Dueling Pianos will no disappoint you. They were so flexible. They even performed a song written by my father and it seriously made my night. HIGHLY recommend them!!!

"All weddings should have Dueling Piano's!" and "Best wedding we have been to!" are comments we heard after the Dueling Piano's performed the entertainment for our wedding. Honestly, our entire day was beautiful, and having the Dueling Piano's perform added the relaxed fun twist we wanted for our wedding. No horrendously loud thumping club music that will cause older guests leave early, and because they are actual performers, you don't have the lame DJ without a personality. During a break they do DJ music, and our guests loved that as well. Both of our DJ's were fun and interactive and responsive. Josh and Vince really did an stellar job and Vince's antics kept the crowd moving and entertained. If you want to talk about cost, Midwest Dueling Piano's is by far the BEST economic decision when pricing against other dueling piano acts. When compared against the standard wedding DJ - they are very, very comparable, and the couple of extra dollars we did spend was well worth it to keep the dance floor moving and our guests smiling. They ended the night perfectly for us. This bride couldn't be more pleased!

We had one of our first dates at a Midwest Dueling Piano show and so it was perfect that we were able to book them for our wedding. From day 1 the level of professionalism was great and Tommy was very quick with responses and was able to answer all my questions. We put our uncle in charge of setup and once they arrived at the venue setup was seamless. Our dinner was 1.5 hours late due to power failure at the caterers and Tommy was extremely flexible and put me at ease. He checked in with me throughout cocktail hour and made sure I was taken care of. The music was something everyone will remember. I danced all night and sang along to just about every song. I think my husband was on the dance floor more than me. They kept everyone entertained and even helped me with a couple special requests. It was truely a perfect day. My dad's best friend even booked them for his upcoming wedding. Thank you so much for everything!

Midwest Piano was amazing and made my wedding a party! Dueling pianos was a great fun alternative to a DJ and made a night that our friends and family will never forget! I worked with Tommy and he was great. I requested him to play my wedding and he drove all the way to Wisconsin from Michigan in the worst snow storm of the season. The two other player were also amazing (another pianist and a drummer), one of them was even a nationally known performer. If you are thinking about booking Midwest Piano, do it! The communication before the wedding with Tommy was great and the experience on my wedding day was even better then I could imagine. Thank you Midwest Piano!

These guys are the REAL deal! Robert and Tod knocked everyone's socks off at our St. Charles, MO reception, and guests are still raving a couple months later. They played all the right songs, sounded amazing, and kept the crowd up and dancing. Kids, teens, parents, singles, grandparents - everyone loved them! I've had several people tell me it was the most fun they've had at a reception. Price was very reasonable, too. We did originally intend to go with a local vendor who was a little cheaper since they were in town, but after seeing them at a wedding show decided against them. Sloppy appearance, didn't sound great, raunchy song selection, etc.... they just weren't for us. We're so glad we made the right choice. These guys were awesome. Highly recommend.

Working with Midwest Dueling Pianos was so easy! They were extremely professional and responded quickly to emails. We had two piano players and a drummer at our wedding reception and they were fantastic. If I ever have another opportunity to use them again I definitely will!

We definitely made the right decision in hiring Midwest Dueling Pianos for our barn wedding last September (2016). After hearing Mike and Dan perform at a friends wedding – my husband and I knew that was exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. From the signing of the contract to the end of our wedding reception, we enjoyed working with Midwest Dueling Pianos. Initially, when signing the contract – we worked with Brian. He helped us understand exactly to expect from them! As the wedding grew near, we worked with Tommy – who was very helpful and went over all details with us! Tommy worked with us on our timeline for the event and covered all bases with us in order the make the event flow smoothly! We met Dan and Mike as they were setting up on our wedding day – they were so excited to perform for us! The dueling piano performance began after the last toast and lasted for the rest of the evening – many of our guests had never been to a wedding with dueling pianos making it unique! Mike and Dan were hilarious and so fun throughout the night! We still hear compliments about their performance and would recommend them to anyone who plans on having fun at their wedding!

If you are tired of Dj after DJ and want to provide something to wow your guests, this is it! They were wonderful to coordinate with and followed through with every request. The guests loved them and it helped set our wedding apart from everybody elses. It was definitely well worth it and I am so happy we chose to go with Midwest Dueling Pianos.

When planning our wedding we wanted something unique that would not only provide great music, but also be entertaining....Midwest Dueling Pianos accomplished both! Our guests have not stopped raving about how much fun they had at our reception! The piano players made the evening interactive and fun, which the guests loved. Brian and Tommy were so easy to work with, throughout the planning process, and Adam and Tod were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband and I wanted everyone, on the dance floor, and we have never seen one more crowded than ours! Everyone was up, out of their seat, and people danced and sang and then danced some more! Everyone had so much fun and even our photographer said, "she has never been to a more fun reception," (and she goes to ALOT). Also, people are still talking about our wedding and reception and how much fun they all had. One friend said, "Now that's what a wedding weekend should be like," and I know Midwest Dueling Pianos had something to do with his comment. Everyone was so happy and energetic and Adam and Tod could not have done a more fabulous job. If I'm not mistaken, I don't believe they took a single break, throughout the duration of our event. Outstanding job guys! We loved having you, as part of our special day, and can't wait to find a good excuse to book you all again soon! If you want a night to remember, I highly recommend using Midwest Dueling Pianos. Mike and Dan kept our daughter's celebration going from start to end. They are professional, entertaining, and family friendly. Our friends are still talking about it. If you want to give a gift to your guests, this is the best way to do it. Well worth the extra cost to have live entertainment. The bride does not like to dance and she was included and had a lot of fun herself. Of course the rest of us love to dance and did so all through the night.

We highly recommend using Midwest Dueling Pianos if you want to give your guests a time of their life. They take care of the normal DJ items we all look for, but then they give you much more in entertainment, involvement, and just a top notch party. This is my third time of experiencing this company and you can't beet live entertainment. Have received so many compliments from our guests on the wonderful time they had. I couldn't even get my 90 year old mother to leave!

We hired Midwest Dueling Pianos for our daughter’s wedding on July 23, 2016. The entire experience was outstanding!!! Jeff Johnson and Tommy Sklutt were both very helpful and worked to fulfill all of our special requests for the day. Our piano players Mike & Dan were awesome!!! The dance floor was packed the entire night. We started the evening with dinner music, while our guests were eating. Then the players announced the wedding party and helped with the flow of the evening with toasts and first dances. My husband had a special father of the bride speech with musical clips, and the company helped with formatting the clips for the event. The speech came off perfectly. They were very accommodating of music requests and were very interactive with all of the guests. I would highly recommend using Midwest Dueling Pianos for any special event!!! Midwest Dueling Pianos are a must for any wedding where the bride and groom want all their guests to feel a part of the celebration. Brian is the owner, and when I first spoke to him about our interest, he told me I could go to Duel Novi and choose who we liked best and if they were available, we could book them. We were instantly impressed with Tommy and Patrick. I went up to Tommy and explained we were thinking of booking them for our wedding. To my surprise, he immediately knew my name. Brian had told him we would be coming to watch. He introduced himself to my fiancé and that connection sold us! We knew we wanted to hire someone invested and personable. Tommy and Patrick both went above and beyond our expectations! Throughout the planning process, Tommy was in contact with me. Fast forward to our wedding: Tommy and Patrick kept the audience engaged and dancing all night! They center the entertainment around what the bride and groom want played, along with Tommy and Patrick's go to songs, and requests given to them by guests. Tommy is a very entertaining MC while Patrick's voice is so unique and his singing of "you are so beautiful" for my dance with my mom will be cherished forever. I'm telling you to call and book them now if your are searching for live entertainment. They are half the price of a band and twice as entertaining. Also, pay the extra $300 for a drummer. It's a must have because not only was he extremely talented, but Tommy and Patrick were able to concentrate on what they do best...Play the heck out of the piano and entertain the audience for hours on end! Midwest Dueling Pianos made our wedding the best celebration of the year.

Recently booked Midwest for our wedding. Tommy (our point of contact) has been very responsive and helpful. We booked the dueling pianos and added a guitar/bass player and a drummer, so we're incredibly excited to see what they can do. Our guests are also very excited for the interactive show we're being promised. I also love that it's a full package deal: they include recorded music for dinner and cocktail hour, they emcee for any special dances or whatever, and there's also optional time DJ-ing (included). Will post more after the wedding.

My wife and I booked Midwest Dueling Pianos for our wedding reception last Saturday night. We could not have been happier with the way the night turned out! Michael and Dan started the night getting our guests involved, and kept the party rocking. The guys did such an amazing job keeping everyone out of their seats, and on the dance floor where they belonged. It was such an amazing time, our guests will be talking about it for years to come. We can not thank them enough for the perfect ending to our perfect day!

Midwest Dueling Pianos was AMAZING! We wanted to surprise our guests with a unique entertainment option, and they were blown away! We loved how interactive the piano players were with our guests, and it made it feel extremely personal. They did a great job of helping us to coordinate the pre-recorded music for our ceremony, dinner, and the reception. We loved having live music for our first dances, and being able to request fun versions of our favorite songs on the spot was awesome! They did a great job, and I would HIGHLY recommend them if you're looking for something fun that your guests will remember forever!

Our Reception Pianist DJs were Dan and Michael and they were grand. They engaged the crowd while allowing for the crowd to enjoy lots of dancing, our primary goal.
They were gentle, yet enthusiastic, and avoided vulgarity while adding humor. They considered special requests from special folks, and did not get thrown by our comfortable manner at the reception: no cake cutting, no garter toss,etc.
They were even more personable during breakdown and clean-up and shared themselves personally with the small group present.
They took good care of the responsibility given them. We were well pleased.

Fantastic, awesome, mind-blowing, talented, interactive, engaging, fun – I could go on and on and on. Truly, Midwest Dueling Pianos made the fundraising event we planned everything we'd hoped for and more. In our wildest dreams we could not have imagined how well the event would end up coming together and the positive feedback we would receive. From text messages to e-mails to Facebook messages, our community is a buzz with how much fun they had. So while there is so much I’d like to say, I simply cannot seem to gather my words to fully express my thanks and appreciation. Wanted a live entertainment for my Son's wedding, he found the dueling pianos at a bar in Kalamazoo, after he sent me the tape of the group playing I told him to book the group for the wedding. This was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding day! These guys are great, it's like having your own private concert. Dueling Pianos will make your special day an event that you will never forget! They also provided the music for the wedding ceremony.

The dance floor was full all night right up until the reception was over which my other vendors said was unusual. They played just the right music for the age range we had. People who never dance were up and dancing. They invited sing along and took requests. They really contributed to making the event a fun night for all. They were set up and warmed up and ready to go on time.

Being in the wedding industry myself has afforded me the ability to see all types of wedding ceremony and reception entertainment. The moment I saw and heard Midwest Dueling Pianos at another wedding I was working, I knew I **HAD** to have them for my own wedding. We actually planned our date around their availability. Everything about them was incredible. And to our great surprise, Rusty, one of our pianists, learned our first dance song and performed it for us, instead of just playing the CD. I'm not one of many words... so just be smart and hire them. You won't regret it for a second.

Midwest dueling pianos were awesome at our wedding reception! The guests loved it. The only complaint was the painos being too loud. This is common, but also didn't help that our venue echoed. Other than that it was an awesome show! I couldn't get off the dance floor! Dan and Mike kept the crowd entertained and involved everyone. They were awesome !

They were wonderful! Everything went great, and our guests had a blast. Even my 88 year old grandmother stayed late and taped her foot along to the music. The kids danced the night away. We really were hesitant about booking originally, because we went over our budget. However, two songs in, and my husband and I looked at each other and exclaimed "totally worth every penny!" We had an absolute blast!

We hired Midwest Dueling Pianos for our wedding reception of about 70 total people. They were everything we could have asked for! We had high hopes for the dueling pianos after watching their youtube videos and talking to Alesha while planning our event, and the group really went above and beyond what we hoped for.

When the groom and I entered into the reception we were greeted by one of the piano players, Rusty, who introduced himself and explained everything we needed to know. They had all of our first dance, father/daughter dance etc. all prepared and ready to go. They worked with our schedule so that everything went in the right order and ran very smoothly. Both piano players and the drummer were dressed great, nice, and very interactive with the group. The songs were awesome and even our small reception had people dancing the entire night.

The next morning people were raving about the entertainment and some asked for business cards so that they could use them if they have an event.

Thank you so much Midwest Dueling Pianos for making our evening perfect!

Midwest dueling pianos did an INCREDIBLE job. We used their services for our wedding ceremony and it was beautiful. We also used their services for the reception. They rocked out so amazingly. The dance floor was ALWAYs full. Our guests had a great time and loved the dueling pianos. Here's the biggest compliment I can give Midwest Dueling Pianos: we saw them at a wedding and had to have them, then we loved what they did for us, and minutes after our wedding reception, two of my best friends booked them to play their wedding.

Planning our event with Midwest Dueling Pianos was the easiest part of getting ready for our wedding. They made our wedding turn into an absolute party, and played songs every single person could sing and dance along to: young kids and grandparents, friends and cousins, everyone was genuinely enjoying their time on the dance floor because of the way they played.

From start to finish, this was a great experience. They really listened to what I wanted, and made my wedding a blast! They didn't make us do any silly games, listened to exactly what I wanted, and everyone was so impressed. They even did the music for my ceremony at no extra charge! Midwest Dueling Pianos were worth every single penny!!! Brian & Rusty did such an awesome job!!! So talented & so much fun!! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone! There was not a single thing I would have requested to them to be done differently!

Midwest dueling pianos was such an amazing experience from start to finish. They were fun for everyone. People sitting or people dancing raved about them. Even my 97 year old great grandmother enjoyed them! Beyond being a blast they were kind, punctual, and sentimental. This company takes the time to make your event so special. I offered to pay for the music at my daughter's wedding. Music is VERY important to me! I was a little apprehensive at first when she chose the Dueling Pianos. The cost was a bit higher than I wanted to go & I wasn't too sure about how dueling pianos would make for great dancing music. Well...let me tell you...these guys were the BOMB! They were worth every penny & more. The dance floor was full all night long. I danced all night long. We sang, danced, laughed. We danced with each other & danced alone. It was, by far, the very best & most memorable wedding I've ever been to. I'm so glad it was my daughter's. She made a great choice. Wish it could've gone on for days! Don't think twice. My husband and I first heard performers from Midwest Dueling Pianos at my good friend's wedding. During the 2nd song, we knew we HAD to have them be the DJ at our wedding, too. We ended up having different performers than my friend and they were just as wonderful! They were very friendly, professional, and FUN to work with! They kept the dance floor going all night and we had a bunch of our guests asking where we had found them and how we had booked them. It is amazing how they seem to know EVERY song people request and how they are able to go NON-STOP. I loved having them and would hire them again in a heartbeat for any event that I needed DJ services. Thanks for helping make our wedding one to remember Midwest Dueling Pianos!

We met Phred Brown at a local restaurant in Mount Pleasant, MI last yr. We had asked him several times to play at our wedding. He finally said yes. His partner Brian Griffin contacted us later. I would highly recommend Midwest Dueling Pianos to any engaged couple looking for a way to keep their guests dancing all night! We loved the personal factor of having live pianos, drums, and singing combined with the ability to play a variety of music. The musicians are so talented and it was a hit with guests. The company, and Tommy specifically, were an ease to work with during the planning process. We appreciated their willingness to travel and work with our timeline for the day. During the reception, my husband and I were always kept up to date with the plan of events which was amazing. During the planning, we had requested that a selection of hispanic music be played as my husband (and his large family) is Puerto Rican. We were told that it would be no problem. However only 1-2 songs max. were played during the reception and we were told they didn't have any other Spanish songs downloaded and ready to be played. This was a bit of a letdown as many guests were expecting it and in fact continued to try to request more be played throughout the night. Overall we were very happy with the quality of the entertainment and would choose Midwest Dueling Pianos over a DJ any day! It was a fun, unique choice of entertainment that kept all of us on the dance floor all night!

Dueling Pianos was an awesome choice for my daughter's wedding. A few guests commented that it was the best reception idea ever!!!! The reception venue was so pleased that they are planning to book them for their New Year's Eve party. Robert and Cassandra were professional, entertaining and flexible and I would not hesitate to book them for another event. The only reason why I have given them 4 starts is because the music was a little loud, although I did not take the time to mention that to them.

Midwest Dueling Pianos was great to work with. Frank and Brian were our performers and they were fantastic! We couldn't have been more pleased that Frank learned to play our first dance song, the mother and son song, and the father and daughter song if he hadn't known them already. That meant a lot to us since the parent/child dance song choices were made within a week of our wedding. They definitely strived to ensure we had phenomenal service!
The only thing I would've liked was to have a bit more communication. I would've liked an email at some point within the several months prior to our wedding letting us know we would be hearing from them closer to the date. Any little follow up or check in would've been nice, just so I knew what to expect.

The best decision I made was proposing to my wife, the second best was hiring these guys to play the reception.

Prior to our wedding I was a little uneasy about these guys, sometimes it took a while for Brian or Devon to get back to me when I would ask a question or just check in to make sure everything was running smoothly, I wasn't sure who would be the two playing at the wedding. But then the day of the wedding came, I showed up to the reception, there were two pianos set up, and everything seemed alright. They emceed prior to dinner and kept everything running right on time as scheduled. After dinner the piano show started and people loved it. The guys were great, the music sounded awesome, they were open to any and every song request, they were flexible on last minute schedule changes. Every guest I talked to said dueling pianos was the best idea for a wedding that they had seen and it was the most fun wedding they had been to.

Additionally, I read one of the prior reviews, and just to hopefully relive some angst, Rusty played at my wedding and was great, he played new stuff, older stuff, he played traditional dueling piano songs, and unique songs like The Cha Cha Slide. If I had to do it again I would pick these guys in a heartbeat, totally worth it, and I wouldn't be surprised if they receive a call or two from upcoming weddings of guests at mine.

Very fun time!

After canceling our large wedding twice, we got married with a small group of 20 in October. Rather than ending the night after the dinner we booked the Midwest Dueling Pianos for our small group consisting of mainly family. Our family LOVED the dueling pianos, Davy and Dan put on a great show! Our guests put in requests all night and everyone got on the dance floor for the majority of the night. If you are looking for a musical act, especially during covid, this is a great one to book! Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had, and wishing they thought of more requests!

The dueling pianos idea was definitely a risk we took for our wedding. We had been to another wedding with dueling piano's and it was a big hit. We decided to go for it and splurge for the entertainment.... which was ultimately a disappointment. I dealt with the owner Brian, for everything before the ceremony, and a few days before our weding, he told me he wasn't going to be able to make it but another piano player, Rusty, would be there instead. Rusty seemed cool at first, when we first met him.... until our entrance song into the Reception Hall was wrong, after he had told us it was no problem. Then Rusty kept telling me how he'll get the place rocking and everyone will be on the dance floor in.... NO ONE was on the dance floor. I finally had to tell them to just play Top 40's off of a list I had provided them... I might as well have plugged in my iPod. My cousin requested a song and Rusty started playing the wrong song, so she asked him for the right one to start playing, and his response was "I am not a DJ"... which was really rude. The entire time the piano players seemed super annoyed and had an attitude because our guests preferred Top 40 over Pianos.
