We were provided drapes and lovely lighting for our wedding with midway. It was absolutely perfect and they were very easy to work with. They did all the set up and take down, so I didn't have to worry about a thing! -

My room looked fantastic. The napkins, tables, beaded curtain. It was all exactly what I wanted. They were affordable, easy to work with, and had a great product.
They are much cheaper than the other companies in town, and honestly, same if not better product. This is where to go. -

We had fun picking out the tablecloths and some good recommendations were made for table runners, etc. Also, I made some last-minute changes to our order and they were able to accommodate! Super easy to pick up and drop off! -

We used midway party for our wedding out in Montgomery MN and they we excellent. We only had use of the far. From Friday until Sunday so they called the farm the selves and ok'd setting up the tent on Wednesday, giving us all day Friday to work. Everything was great and our sales rep Rod could not have been better. I would definitely recommend them to friends needing tents and tables!! -

We rented beverage dispensers, vases, and votives from Midway Party Rental. The prices were great compared to a few other places we looked at and we found exactly what we wanted rather than compromising for something else. They were very helpful and flexible, allowing us to add to our order only a week or so before the wedding. They were also great about timing, working around our schedule regarding when we had to pick up and return items. -

The venue was amazing and my husband and I were blown away when we walked into the venue! The back drop behind the head table and dance floor were amazing with the par can lights. The tables were perfectly set up with the napkins and chair linens, and everyone was very responsive when we contacted them to make sure every detail was taken care of. Make sure to contact them when it comes down to finalizing the guest list for a napkin count and linens for tables so you order enough (we ordered extra napkins and were glad that we did for unexpected guests)!

We only rented 8 columns for our ceremony through Midway, but they were far and away better than the other rental company where we got the rest of our rentals (our caterer preferred using another rental company and I cannot for the life of me figure out why). They let us pick up on the day we wanted and return the following Tuesday.
In addition, they were 100 times more responsive than the other rental company and when there was an issue, they called me immediately. They were very communicative and I really appreciated that about them. -

Midway was great to work with for all of our linens rental needs for our wedding. We changed our order multiple times due to changes in expected number of guests, wanting to get rid of sashes on chairs, and making sure that I'd gotten the right color of table linens put on the order when the name didn't sound like the color I had looked at in the showroom. They were always quick to respond and were very happy to help with whatever I needed. They were also gracious enough to take back the last napkin that somehow managed to not make it into the "dirty" bag at the end of night! I highly recommend people check them out and give them a try! -

The only thing that we needed to rent were chairs for our ceremony, but they were still happy to accommodate. They were delivered and set up on time, and were very courteous while doing so. -

We got standard white satin linens for our guest tables and the most stunning champagne-colored Valentina lace tablecloths for our harvest (center) table with an apricot underlay. It tied in beautifully with our romantic, ethereal wedding. Customer service was great and pricing was a little high but they're the largest and most convenient place for linens in the area. -

We rented chairs, tables, cloths, an 80x40 tent, porta-potties, and dance floor from Midway.
Their sales staff was very helpful and responsive - I asked lots of questions and made tons of changes, and they were receptive and super nice!
The delivery team was quick and respectful - though there was an issue upon pickup with my dad's dogs. Apparently the delivery team did not note that the house has dogs, because they sent a person who was afraid of dogs for pick-up.

I stopped in at Midway Party Rental over my lunch break one day and met with Sarah, a rep at the reception desk near the doors. We were planning to rent only a few table linens for our very small wedding and they were great to work with! Even though I wasn’t spending much money, (I was only renting 5 table cloths & 4 runners!) I was treated like I was an important client I very much appreciate the time she took to help me, find the right colors of table runners and draft a proposal. I was very happy with their service! I would have given them 5 stars, but one of the runners we rented was slightly stained. We did get an extra one from them to use at no charge, so it wasn't an issue. :) -

We had ordered the chair covers, card holder and arbor from Midway Party Rental. The women we worked with was amazing. She gave me tons of ideas and was very patient with me in trying to decided what would look best. The linens were all pressed and they looked fabulous when we put them on the chairs. We picked an arbor that was easy to assemble. They called us to confirm the order and everything was ready for us to pick up on time. -

We had a wonderful experience with Midway Party Rentals for our wedding. We rented a tent, tables, chairs, linens, dance floor, lighting and some small items. Christi was our event consultant and she was wonderful to work with, responded to emails quickly and was flexible when we asked to make changes. When my mom and I went to the show room to meet with her, she gave great advice, was friendly and honest. I didn't feel like she was just trying to sell us things... I requested that everything be delivered 3-4 days before our wedding to make sure it was all good and it was delivered on time and with everything there. Some of the tables are not in great shape but with linens that doesn't really matter. The only thing that could have been a bit better was the professionalism of the delivery crew. They were clearly high school or college aged boys but some of their comments and language weren't the best... Other than that, we were very happy with Midway! -

We struggled to plan our chair rental for our ceremony. We needed everything dropped off and picked up in a very specific time period. At first, Midway was not very understanding of this need. But after lots of follow up and emphasis on our part, it all worked out well. They were right on time for delivery and picked up immediately after our ceremony in the time period needed. They even price matched white chairs to another vendor. The tent rental was by far the lowest in the area. -

Midway party rental was professional and made the place look beautiful. I did a DIY photobooth and Zong was able to help me come up with a solution to block out an area for the photobooth. She also help me with making the cocktail area beautiful and coordinate with my wedding colors/theme. -

We used Midway to rent a riser for our ceremony, wireless microphones, and a karaoke machine and speakers for our reception. We were lucky to be steered towards Midway as the preferred vendor of our wedding site. Their catalog was extensive and we were able to find exactly what we were looking for. All items were dropped off and picked up right on schedule, and everything was in working order. We all adored the karaoke!!! -

We ordered tool to hang from the ceilings, a stage for our band, and chair covers. The tool and chair covers MADE the room. The price is a bit high ($700 for tool? really? to rent it...) and the chair covers were expensive, but competitive with others- it's just the price of pretty! -

We had a great experience renting from Midway Party Rental for our wedding. Although the staff were not overly friendly, they were professional, responsive and efficient, which is what matters. Everything was delivered correctly and the tent was perfectly set up by the time they promised. They were very flexible as I made changes up to a week before the wedding. They were also flexible in scheduling the dropoff a day earlier than they were planning on when I requested it. I really appreciated not having to worry about any of this and just knowing that it would be done right. I would definitely recommend Midway to others! -

Pros: when you go in to look at the merchandise, they are really helpful setting things up to make sure you get what you vision they are also fast on getting back to you.
Con: the delivery fee is crazy! Each item is counted and then there is a delivery fee for each item, then an extra fee simply because it was a Saturday, and another fee to have them get there within a three hour block. We decided to skip the delivery and saved a couple hundred dollars!!! -

great price, but you get what you pay for. all the linens were clean, but the pipe+drape poles were fairly mangled due to prior rentals. since we had enough fabric to cover the poles, no one noticed. i wasn't charged for the already ruined poles, so that was good (i did call in to report them before returning, so that probably helped).
returns were a breeze; the staff took care of everything for us... kind of wish we could have loaded everything up on sunday and just brought it back then (instead of waiting until monday).
if you get something that's damaged, be sure to notify them ASAP... just in case. -

Midway was good to work with. They have a huge selection and they are a great value especially for their linens.
We also used them for our candy table to rent the containers which was very reasonable. They were a little short
staffed so it took a little while to get back to me. They were great about getting ahold of me when they knew they
may be short on an item that I was thinking of getting but hadn't decided so that I could make the decision and
secure that we got what we wanted. I would use them again and recommend them especially if you are on a budget. -

We ordered a dance floor and drapery from Midway Party rental. Their prices seem expensive, but I think that's just the reality of paying for this type of service. The only thing that disappointed me was that the drapery was supposed to be lit, and it wasn't. I'm not sure if someone forgot to bring an extension cord or the lights burned out, or what happened. Things were so busy that I never remembered to ask anyone at the reception site about it.
They could also be a little hard to get a hold of, we played a whole lot of phone tag! -

Overall good experience. Our sales guy Rod was the BEST. The installers who put up our tent a couple days before the wedding took 4 hours longer than expected, which caused a few problems, but they did a great job in the end. There was not much wiggle room on the prices, but there were some problems with items already being rented out and Rod did a great job trying to make everything work. -

Everyone was very knowledgable and helpful at Midway Party Rental. Rod came out to my parent's house and gave us estimates of needs in regard to our backyard wedding set up. With his expertise we pulled off one heck of a shindig. The tents, lighting, mobile bar, and dance floor were all amazing. I'm not sure what we would have done without Rod's help. Everything looked amazing together!
A lot of the rentals arrived pretty banged up. We had to pay special attention to all the chairs and give them a good scrub down. One of the decanters arrived broken-Rod promptly arranged a refund on the decanter when we reported that it was broken after the wedding.
My only suggestions for improvement would be to give clients estimates on when the rentals will be delivered and to verify that the rentals are in best/workable condition prior to drop off. For both the pick up and drop off the trucks didn't arrive until late afternoon/early evening. -

Overall, good vendor to work with for the cost. We got our table runners and chair covers from them and couldn't beat the cost when compared to other vendors. All of these items looked great and they did a good job of setup! They were on time and done when needed. They also were flexible with their pickup times. The only problem was they miscounted the delivery and then said they didn't get everything back. A couple of quick phone calls resolved all of this and we worked it out. Responsiveness in this matter and changes to our original contract as the numbers got closer to locked in were also very prompt. Gina is great to work with and was very professional, courteous, and had great suggestions! Would recommend others to use this vendor! Thank you! -

Midway Party Rental allowed us to reserve a tent and chairs for our wedding months in advance with a 40% deposit. Then we decided we didn't need the tent for our wedding and they allowed us to cancel it and put the money from the original deposit towards the final bill.
Set up fees add up quickly at Midway Rental and most rental companies, so ask your venue what times and days the rentals can be dropped off and picked up.
Also, set up fees add up quickly for rental companies as well, so see if your venue will set certain things up or if you can set up some of the items. -

Midway party rental provided the tent, tables, chairs, and linens. The quality of the products provided were great.
Make sure you plan enough time for setup, they don't allow their setup staff enough time or people to get the job done. We were told they would be there at 12:30 for setup and they didn't show up until after 5pm. Setup then took until after 10pm. The guys that did the setup were great, they even came back the day before the event to drop some extra linens and check to make sure everything was ok. -

Mixed Reviews
I had mixed feelings about my experience working with Ultimate Events. When our wedding plans for linens fell through with a little over a month to go, Ultimate Events was quick to give us quote, which was much appreciated.
Following the initial quote, I faced spotty communication via email from my sales team member. I waited over a week to hear back from her, and ended up calling to see if I could get a hold of her, in which I left a message. Instead of getting a call back, she sent a separate email which didn't respond to all of my questions in my initial email, which was frustrating.
Two days before the wedding, I arrived to pick up our linens only to discover that they couldn't find my order. Thankfully they had enough linens and napkins in stock where I could still get my order, but I had to wait over 30 minutes for it to be ready.
All that to be said, come the wedding day the linens were clean and perfect for the space, and the drop-off of the linens went smoothly. I would like to think that my experience is not typical of the average customer, but I had to give three stars based on my experience. -

Overall a okay experience. We did find the vendor to be flexible when adding additional chairs or changing the size of the barrels used. We did find them to be not as professional in the warehouse portion of the vendor when we actually picked up the products. One gentleman was smoking in the bed of our truck while loading the material. We also were accused of not returning chair covers, when in fact we did. We would recommend counting before and after picking up/returning the chair covers, as well as documenting on their paperwork. Our white chairs did have marks on them, though in pictures was not noticable. -

The dishes we rented from Midway were beautiful. I was very pleased with them for the money we paid and the service we got. It was simple dealing with their people. I only wish they would have been more flexible in drop off times and fees. -

we had very good luck with midway party rental. our consultant was very helpful...except we didn't get a call back one week prior to confirm our order (like she said we would). i had to call them. everything arrived as ordered. the only problem was the delivery/pick-up. first of all, they have an 8 am - 8 pm. delivery window. they are supposed to call you at least 1 hour ahead so if you aren't home, you can get there. i got a call at 7:20 p.m. that they were 1/2 hour away. i asked where they were and they were really less than 5 minutes away. when it came time for the pick up i didn't receive ANY call. we had been in and out all day but thankfully we were home when they came. -

We rented few equipments and tent from midway for our backyard bbq reception. The tent was put up as schedule. The equipment is in good condition. We did not use most of the tableware, but no refund for that. We still need to rinse the silverware and china, otherwise they will charge us for the cleaning service.(not sure why) Overall, it is just too much work need to be done to set up the table and chairs, anything extra will be charged. For other event, I think it worth to have it in restaurant. -

Over all this was a decent experience, the people were pleasant to work with, and they had what I was looking for. They were also very flexible with our delivery dates.
We rented the white wooden folding chairs for our garden wedding, however, after being assured that they would hold a heavier adult, two broke during our rehearsal while people were just sitting still. Otherwise the speaker system we rented worked fine for our needs, I just wouldn�t recommend the wooden folding chairs.

Midway Party Rental probably has the best pricing around the Twin Cities area for wedding rentals of linens, chairs and decor. They did promptly respond to my many questions, and did promptly make changes to the color/number of linens and chairs needed. However, we did tangle a few times on the delivery and pick up times. If you choose to work with them, I suggest to get delivery and pick up times from your venue first, and then communicate that to Midway. They will work with you. Otherwise, they enter standard delivery and pick up times and it can be confusing because it wasn't clearly explained. If you hire them to do draping, it may be another issue for your day. Although we sent photos of what draping we wanted at the Landmark Center in St Paul, and it was itemized on the contract. Midway did not complete the draping the day of the wedding. They actually left the draping and poles in the aisle at Landmark. When several calls were placed to their emergency number, no one responded. If they had answered, there would have been time for them to return and complete the draping. Our day wasn't ruined because of the draping issue, but it was a big disappointment. We were reimbursed for the unfinished work but we were not provided an explanation for their oversight. If you contract with them, just be diligent about the details! -

We used Midway Party Rental for table linens, chairs for our ceremony, and a dance floor. We had to change things multiple times throughout our planning process and they were very helpful in getting our order updated. When we went to their location to look at colors, they weren't really helpful, we really had to guide them to what we wanted. I thought they would offer ideas but that was not the case. Our venue required that we have everything taken offsite by the end of the night. The delivery fee for this was ridiculous, but as most of our guests were from out of town, it really was our only option. At the end of the night when they came to pick-up our rentals, their tools broke and they were not able to take the dance floor. Our venue was definitely not pleased about that. Luckily there wasn't a Sunday wedding the following day or we would have lost our security deposit with the venue. Midway Party Rental has some of the cheaper prices, but they were not a great company to go with. -

They had a good selection of linens, which we ended up needing last minute due to table size issues at the mansion. My linen order was VERY complex, but it took multiple phone calls to get everything straight, and we were still missing some the day of. Thankfully my caterer had brought some with as well, so we were able to improvise with what we had. -

This place has one of the best selections in town, and our chairs and other miscellaneous rentals were fine from them. However, the dance floor was a nightmare. We elected to pick it up and put it together the day before the wedding to save on costs. It was missing screws, the tool to put it together and a few other pieces, which resulted in a drive back to the place to pick up the missing pieces. Front desk wasn't that apologetic either and I think we only ended up with a slight discount. -

We went to the store and we were greeted, but we then felt we were ignored until we had questions about how to order. I was never contacted on the days leading up to the wedding to finalize my order and ended up having to call myself. I changed my order and finalized items 2 days before, but all the rental supplies and quantities before the change were delivered. I was told to just not use the extra. We had the site rented for 3 hours the day before the rental to have the ceiling draping done. The lift they delivered was not charged and they ended up installing it the day of the wedding. They did offer to pay if our 3 hour rental ran over, but they couldn't do anything so they left before the rental was up. They were affordable, but a bit of a hassle. -

Midway had the best prices for the basics we needed to rent, our sales rep was very easy to reach and always quick to accommodate changes or answer questions as we worked through finalizing our order, so I was very happy with the service prior to the day of. However, on the day of, our order showed up nearly at the end of the agreed upon time window and was incomplete (and not just by a few items, probably 80% of what we'd ordered was missing). Everything was eventually delivered after multiple trips, but it was a very good thing we'd set them to come very early in the day rather than closer to our event time. Then at the end of the night, they never showed up for our scheduled pickup time and our DOC ended up having to leave the rental items in the alley for them to pick up so she could finally leave the venue at 1:30am (90 min past their scheduled pickup time). No problems with the rental items themselves or service prior to the event, but service on the day of was very poor and I didn't receive any kind of follow up from the sales rep (or anyone else) after the fact. I would not recommend, and especially not if you have tighter restrictions on when pickup/delivery needs to happen. -

I went with Midway Party Rental as they were the low-cost leader and their location was convenient. Everything was great, although I wish someone had called to confirm my order as it got closer to the wedding as all of my other vendors did. It slipped my mind to confirm the order until we were just under a week out and by then I couldn't change the number of napkins I was getting. As we reserved them so far in advance I had to estimate the quantity and of course the number had changed. In the end it all worked out but make sure you follow-up with them more than a week in advance if there are any changes. They are not going to follow-up with you once you make your deposit. -

We booked with Midway almost a year in advance. About a month before the wedding we went to contact Midway to make sure everything was going well. To find out both people that we dealt with no longer work with Midway. I was very surprised no one contacted us about that. To find out we needed new inspections at our venue location and they came out and did the inspection one day before deliver. I rented a hot box that didn't get used because it wasn't big enough. I made the mistake of not going to the place and just talking to a consultant. She advised that the one I ordered fit the large hotel pans, but at the end of the day, it didn't. -

From this company, I ordered a dance floor for rent. They were difficult to get ahold of and I was never really able to confirm. Thank goodness they had what I had ordered. It all worked out, but if you like to have your thumb on the pulse of things, they are not the best for you. -

We rented tables and risers. The risers were VERY dirty. They give you a drop off time between 8am and 5pm which made it tough for decorating. They were also suppose to pick up the Wednesday after the wedding but didn't. They put us in the wrong week and left them at the site an extra week and were not willing to change it or do anything about it. Not very happy! -

Although the selection of products to rent was sizable, the price and unresponsiveness of the company does not make this recommendable. While we were in the building, their staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, but my mom had to wait nearly a week to get a call back from them when we changed some of the details of our wedding. I would definately shop around. -

The dance floor we rented was cheap, but the delivery and set-up guys were late. Very late. Like, they were setting up the floor while people were filing in for dinner.
And then they were late to pick it up, costing us a small fine for not being out of our venue on time. -

My first thought is that I wish it were an option to give ZERO STARS. Yes, they were that bad. DO NOT BOOK WITH MIDWAY FOR YOUR WEDDING OR RENTAL NEEDS. Their customer service is absolutely atrocious. We rented linens, dinnerware, silverware, serve-ware and outdoor chairs from Midway for our June wedding. Delivery was supposed to be between 9:30-11:30am on the day of. The time that they actually delivered was 2:30pm. Our wedding was at 4:00pm. The family/friends we had asked to be in charge of our set-up repeatedly called Midway's "emergency after-hours line" which no one answered. It just went straight to voicemail. At some point, they did get a hold of someone and talked to the driver. He apparently said they got "lost" and gave some other ridiculous excuses, even chuckled on the phone at one point. So apparently not delivering the vital components of your wedding until just over an hour beforehand is comical to Midway?? Not only that, our order wasn't even complete. They simply failed to deliver 180 cloth napkins. A friend of ours had to rush out to purchase paper napkins at a local party store in our wedding colors. SO MUCH UNNECESSARY HASSLE AND STRESS.
The day before the wedding, I personally talked to a representative at Midway. She called to let me know that everything was set for delivery in the morning, but she wanted me to know not to worry if they did not pick-up by midnight as they had multiple weddings in the same area to pick-up. She said to leave the stuff outside if they were not there by midnight. Family members waited until 12:30am, and when no one came, they ended up leaving. Our venue called on Sunday morning to let our family know that the stuff still hadn't been picked up. They were very kind about it but concerned since there was a wedding there on Sun 6/29 too. Midway never picked it up on Sunday. It wasn't until our aunt called first thing MONDAY MORNING demanding them to pick it up that they actually came and got it. -

This company is absolutely horrible! If you are even considering using them please take my advice and book with someone else. They screwed up my entire linen order and then has the audacity to ask me to prove to them that the screwed up. I called and tried to talk to several people and always got the excuse that someone would call me back. Rhonda even had the nerve to tell me that they could have done more to help me if I would have called the emergency phone number when I noticed that my linens were the wrong color. So, she wanted me to stop and take the time out of my wedding reception to call and tell them that the linens were wrong as though they would have come to change the linens with people eating at the tables. The person I worked with at Midway when I placed my order was very nice, but she screwed up our linen color in a very noticeable way and they would not do anything to fix it. We spent 45 minutes with this person mocking up tables and picking out the right linen color and we trusted that she was going to pick the right color that we had laid out on the tables. We never questioned for one second that she would order the wrong color linen for us. This company has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced and they are not willing to do ANYTHING to fix a problem, even though it was their sales person's fault. Please work with a company with integrity, who aim to make their customer's happy and who will fix mistakes if they are made. Please, please take this review and other reviews to heart and choose a vendor who will make your day everything you dreamed of and more and if heaven forbid something goes wrong they will take responsibility and fix their mistake. -

From the start it was difficult to get a response from anyone in the company. This pattern only continued when we had more questions crop up as the wedding day approached. With the exception of 1 person, none of the 6 people we dealt with was professional or very helpful. To get any answers we had to repeatedly call and/or email. One of the wireless mics we rented did not work. (Getting reimbursement for that was a pain, too, of course). Equipment pick-up was made a hassle by their refusal to give a time they would be by. In hindsight, we would NOT have gone with them again. First impressions are important! -
