    The Perfect Dress Store

    I have never been more excited to leave a 5 star review!! Trudy made me feel comfortable, special, and took all of the stress out of shopping for the perfect dress. The atmosphere at Couture is very relaxed and personal. They have all of there dresses in sections of price so it made it so easy to look quickly. I did not feel rushed, or like another number like I have felt at other dress stores but like a girl experiencing an incredible moment. I found the perfect dress and the perfect store! I will forever remember Couture and my amazing consultant.

    The most perfect experience

    I absolutely LOVED shopping at Couture By Tess! Our experience was AMAZING and the customer service could not have been better. It was an all around great experience, and I would recommend them to anyone! Plus, the dresses are absolutely gorgeous! There were SO many different styles to pick from!

    Worth every penny

    Tess and her team were flawless as accommodating to my budget and needs when it came to finding literally the most perfect wedding gown. Her shop in downtown Cookeville, TN has the cutest layout and her team was wonderful to work with.

    Tess is a Lifesaver!!

    First off let me start by saying, my entire experience was the absolute BEST! Upon arriving for my initial consultation, I was pleasantly greeted by Tess and her amazing assistant with mimosas and awesome customer service. I had less than 2 months until my wedding, I was 5 weeks postpartum and my nerves were all over the place but Tess assured me that she had me covered and promised that I’d find the dress of my dreams. Once I saw all the beautiful gowns that she had, I had no doubt about finding the perfect dress. My consultation was so personal and she really listens to everything you request and want in a wedding gown. After trying on several beautiful gowns, we finally found the ONE and I couldn’t hold back tears! My experience was so magical and still to this day, I thank God for meeting Tess and going to her place of business. She’s definitely a rare gem and everyone that I know who’s getting married will get referred to this amazing business. Thanks for making my wedding dress experience stress free and relaxing!     If you find yourself the size of the average American female (size 14 or up) as I do and want to find a unique wedding dress that is affordable, comfortable, and absolutely amazing, then this vendor is the one for you. While Mrs. Tess (the owner) does have a selection of wedding dresses for women sizes 12 and under, she caters mostly to the wider audience of females out there above a size 12. The selection of dresses is truly unique and varies from traditional, couture, vintage, etc. You would not find the same quality of dresses here than at any old David's Bridal or any other larger corporate business, much less for the price! And on top of the great selection of dresses, the customer service is absolutely outstanding. Mrs. Tess primarily handles one on one sessions with clients in the her boutique located in her home. She is very flexible with booking these appointments and is also adamant about providing appointment reminders via phone and text.

    From my personal interaction with Mrs. Tess at my own one on one session, I found her to be super sweet; very passionate about her business; knowledgeable about the wedding industry; extremely helpful and competent with answering tough questions; and overall a very caring person.

    In summary, the wedding dress selection here is impeccable, the prices on the dresses are killer, and the customer service is far superior to anything you will get anywhere else. This is a solid place to go searching for wedding dress of your dreams, especially if your wedding is on a budget!

    P.S. This vendor deals with wedding dresses, NOT average run-of-mill prom dresses. Again, she is very passionate about her wedding business and also to catering to all the wedding dress outfit needs of the bride-to-be from wedding dresses to jewelry, wedding bouquets, tiaras, crowns, shoes, etc.

    When one of my bridesmaid sent me an email with the information for Mid-south Wedding Gown Sales & Rental, I was leery from a past experience at a major chain for just color swatches, but I sent an email. I was contacted a day or so later. I felt an immediate sense of relief from the start. I explained that I am a plus size bride and my first visit to any bridal salon for a dress. When we showed up to my "PERSONAL" appointment (yes I had the entire salon to myself), Tess greeted my bridesmaid's and me at the door and made us feel welcomed right away. I was so relieved I was not going to have to parade in front of other brides/people. We were shown up to the studio and took in the abundance of dresses and I began to feel overwhelmed.
    Not sure if Tess knew, but instantly she began easing my jitters. She remembered what we had discussed on the phone and began to guide us through the different rooms suggesting and helping pick out dresses to try. I really thought she was crazy, with all the dresses she kept picking up. I didn't understand that you may have to try on a dozen before you find "the one".

    All while trying the dresses on, I was made to feel like a princess and never ashamed of my plus size frame. She did not make me feel insecure or showed any judgment against me for my size. She never rushed or pushed me into making any decisions, even though it was a weeknight and we both needed to be at work in the morning. She had so much patience with me.
    I am so thankful for the info i got on for Tess. I have never expected such professionalism & care at the same time during my appointment, but that is what I got. The experience was a 10 and best of all.... the dress we found was PERFECT! I can't wait to walk down the isle to my soon to be husband and see the look on his face!

    Hi everyone, I was blessed to have found Ms. Tess with Mid-South Wedding Gown Sales & Rentals!!! I recommend that if you are looking for that special dress for your wedding day go to her. She has so many dresses for you to pick from. I was feeling like a true queen while trying on those beautiful

    I actually regretted trying on a wedding dress! The thought of me trying on a wedding dress for my big day was like a nightmare! Until I went to an Open House and met Tess at Midsouth Ladies Formal, she was Amazing! She made me feel like a Princess, that nothing else mattered! She brought me back to this was a day every little girl dreams of! And I thank her for the encouraging words, she brought the best out of me!     If you are looking for uniqueness without spending a lot of money, MidSouth Ladies Formals is the place to go. The owner is the sweetest, most professional person I've met since I started looking for dresses. From start to finish, she was amazing. Midsouth Ladies Formals, this is a company that actually stand by their name!! Very affordable, very patient & they actually listen.     Tess is wonderful! She has been so patient with me because I've changed ny mind a couple times! But she has been excellent. I referred one of my coworkers to her and she loved her also! The prices prices be better but the service is what I love. The fact she waits on one bride at a time is just wonderful and I never feel rushed like you do at a bridal store or something. Tess is AMAZING!

    Tess is amazing!! This is the best vendor I have had yet. Her rentals are affordable, beautiful, and awe inspiring. Tess knows what she is doing, even when you don't! I came in thinking no lace and no beading... But walked away with a gorgeous gown that looks awesome on me.

    TESS IS AMAZING!!! When I came for my appointment I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and open arms. I loved the fact that I was her only client and I had her full attention. I am a plus size woman with flabby fly away arms. I wanted a coat to wear with my gown! LOL! Tess made me feel soo comfortable! I went to David's Bridal before going to Mid-South Ladies Formals and saw all the ladies trying their gowns in front of family & complete strangers and I was fearful of the embarrassment so I planned to get my dress online and hope I liked it and pray it would fit. But a friend who used Mid-South recommended I try them and I am so glad!

    I got the perfect gown for my body type, with such unique details! People are still talking about my gown! Also with my gown I got the most beautiful tiara I had ever seen. And I looked like a queen on my special day!! They also have jewelry available. It really is the best place for one stop bridal and special event shopping!!

    Can I start by saying that renting my dress was THE BEST DECISION I could've made for my wedding day. Tessa was a "God send". She catered to you as the bride and worked hard to make sure you were pleased. She kept saying "Kenya, now if you want to change your dress you can"...I just knew I wouldn't UNTIL she had a gathering at her place of business and she tried on different wedding dresses so that we could help her pick the best dress for her wedding and when she walked out in MY DRESS..which was a new one from the one I originally picked...I was like I need to change. That dress "gave me life"..LOL!!! Tessa's pleasant attitude and her professionalism really helped ease a lot of the anxiety w/ planning and can I say the cost of the rental was SUPERB!!!!     Midsouth Ladies Formal made my wedding day perfect. Ms. Tess was superb in making sure that I had everything I needed and that I was as stress free as possible. I had different things to come up that I did not understand or agree with and she went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and satisfied. I wish I could refer every soon to be bride to her so that they could have the same pleasing experience that I encountered. This day would not have been so well put together without her help.
