Photography was the most important wedding vendor to us after F&B. I loved the work I saw on Michelle's website and Instagram, and after several calls with different photographers what drew me to Michelle was that she seemed genuinely interested in learning more about my vision for the day and all of the details. Come wedding weekend, within the first 10 minutes of meeting Michelle in person on our rehearsal dinner day we knew we made the right decision in booking her. She made us feel so comfortable, yet was great at giving us direction (which we needed!). On our wedding day she encouraged us to step away for a brief bit for some unplanned dusk and nighttime photos which we are so grateful for -- what came from those moments are some of my favorites of the weekend! Working with Michelle (and her second shooter, Lisa) was truly a dream and we could not be happier with our experience and images from the weekend. -

Run - don't walk and book Michelle for your wedding/event (if she is available!!)
We have no words with how pleased we are with how she captured our day. We've only received a preview set, but are already overwhelmed with joy over them.
My husband and I were on the search for someone who captured emotion over posed shots, as well as someone with a keen eye to detail. We were hooked from her black & white skills, and were not disappointed one bit.
My only wish is that I could re-live my wedding day again because it goes so fast and I forgot everything, but now I don't have to because she captured our emotion and feeling. We will treasure these for the rest of our lives, thanks to Michelle.
We had pushed our wedding twice because of covid, and while i hope people don't have to do that anymore, she was SO accommodating, and we cannot thank her enough for working with us.
110% would work with her again! -

I recently had the privilege of working with Michelle on a styled bridal editorial and trust me when I say that I instantly knew that I wanted to hire her to be my wedding photographer. Call it serendipitous, but the exact day of the shoot just so happened to be the exact day that my fiance and I picked our wedding date.
Michelle... Where do I start? Not only is she an incredibly talented and established photographer, but she is as humble as they come and always is about doing the right thing. She's very personable, responsive, professional, kindhearted and accommodating and I really cannot say enough positive things about her.
Michelle is more than just an artist... she's a sweet, very genuine person who truly cares about her work and believes in providing the best service available.
She’s an instant best friend and hands down the best. I truly admire and respect her and feel extremely lucky that she was the one to capture our magical day. ❤️ -

Hire Michelle to watch creativity work, SHE IS INCREDIBLE!
I hired Michelle after I had the opportunity to watch her capture my best friend’s wedding in Savannah, GA (Allyson & Jason Kreps). Her attentive presence with the wedding party and her eye for styling shots is just lovely. It is so evident in her beautiful work.
Michelle showed genuine enthusiasm for my wedding inspiration and pulled out all the stops to bring the vision to life – she carried 5 different cameras (digital, film, 35mm, polaroid..), scouted the locations ahead to carefully plan our shots, and sourced a local assistant to make sure she didn’t miss a candid moment. The resulting images are heirlooms of their own.
From beginning to end, it was a joy.

Our wedding photographer was "my thing", the wedding detail I was the most invested in because it would help us relive our day with our families now and in the future. I wanted a photographer who would capture the emotions of not just the bride and the groom but of the bridal party, extended family, and our guests. I struggled to find the right photographer who's portfolio wasn't a long list of static, posed images. That is, until we were recommended Michelle. O.M.G. I was instantly captured by her website and the wide range of weddings, locations, and styles she had covered. I am not an outwardly emotional person but I couldn't help but tear up at the images she shared online. I could not give a stronger recommendation for working with a wedding vendor. Michelle also shot our engagement photos which was the perfect way to capture images of Chris and me around our neighborhood and it was a brilliant way to get to know Michelle so that we felt like friends by our wedding day. Being a 2020 bride brought a whole new layer of stress and uncertainty to the wedding planning process, and her positivity, reassurance, and dedication to our wedding was and is so incredibly appreciated. Chris and I will forever cherish our engagement and wedding photos and are so very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Michelle and have her be a part of our special day. How many times do you get to say you were photographed by a Vogue photographer?!?! Love you Michelle!!!
Pros:
Michelle is a true artist and some how makes every shot look beyond glamorous.
Creativity
Responsiveness and level of detail in her communications. Major plus for Type A brides (and Type B.)
Her ability to capture the emotion of the day. Truly wow.
Cons:
I wish I could pay Michelle to take pictures at every single one of our important life events because she makes us look way more attractive and cooler than we are. :) -

I knew the moment we got engaged that photography was a high priority because at the end of the day, it's what you're left with to remember the day by. I'm an Atlanta wedding planner with years of experience + many vendor contacts & Michelle was who we wanted from the beginning. I asked a mutual vendor friend if they knew of her availability & prayed the answer was "yes, she's free!" Our ceremony was small, intimate & in a private residence while our reception was a bit bigger & at a huge tourist location. Michelle handled both scenarios perfectly, & when we look at our photos we remember our best day of 2020. We got the photos of family + friends that everyone wants from their wedding, but we also received photos with unique lighting & details that I truly believe only a specific artist can capture. If you're looking for someone who is easygoing, hardworking & delivers photos you just can't get with everyone, Michelle is it. Thank you again, for everything - & I look forward to recommending you to future planning clients of mine! -

I am a photographer and choosing my own photographer was a tough choice but I am SO glad we went with Michelle. We love her documentary style and she was so on top of things and creative on the day and really helped us to feel comfortable (we are not usually in front of the camera!). I really appreciate her eye for details and ability to capture quick moments. Picking our favorites to print is going to be harder than I thought :) -

Michelle is an absolute dream to work with!! She is kind, professional and really comforting amongst all of the wedding day craziness. Most of all, her work is insanely gorgeous! She was able to capture truly organic moments, which my husband and I will marvel at forever. Best of all, we get to work with her twice! Because of Covid-19, my husband and I decided to do a micro-wedding this October, which Michelle shot. The hope is to have the big planned reception next year, and we absolutely cannot wait to work with Michelle again!! I'd give her a hundred stars if I could :) -

Choosing Michelle for our photographer was the BEST decision of all wedding decisions :) From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, sweet, understanding, and personable. She was more then willing to work with us through all of the craziness of covid weddings (we rescheduled 3 times and she was willing to accommodate us every time!). She goes above and beyond in her work and most importantly really cares about her clients – she was the only one to ask about our “couple story” and genuinely wanted to get to know us and become close with us through the planning stages. Regarding her work, she has an incredible eye and her photography is breathtaking. I haven’t received our photos back yet but from the few glimpses she shared, I know it will be even better than imagined! She finds art in every place she goes and your wedding pictures will be seen as just that, pieces of art. You cannot go wrong with Michelle. I would recommend her 100%! -

Royal Wedding worthy
Your wedding photographer search can stop here-- you won't find anyone better. Absolutely worth every penny. Pictures were stunning, timeless, elegant, whether they were portraits or candids. Nobody can hold a candle to the kind of photography-- except for maybe the folks that do the Royal Weddings. Many of my friends spent more money than I did on photography, and the results cannot even compare. We worked with Sabrina, Michelle's assistant photographer. She is the sweetest soul and so patient with my bridezilla anxieties the day of! She is truly an artist! 100% for their professionalism, kindness, and value for money. -

From start to finish, working with Michelle has been an absolute dream! She was referred to us by our engagement photographer and we not only immediately clicked with her, but loved her style (Her works speak for themselves!). Michelle makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera (I'm typically not) while also making it feel like she's not even there! She communicated with us, had a very easy process for family portraits, and is a truly talented photographer. On wedding day, she captured all the sweet and intimate details of everything important to us. She got us our photos so timely for everything and getting ahold of her for anything was all so easy. She really made everything about our wedding day stress free when it came to photography! Our wedding day album made me cry and laugh, I couldn't believe how perfect and wonderful they turned out! I want to give her a 10 star if I could and will highly recommend to any bride! -

I don’t have enough words to describe how we loved having Michelle capture our elopement in Decatur. From the minute she arrived, she set us totally at ease and was such a joyful and focused addition to the day. Michelle Scott is a truly amazing photographer. Her works speaks for itself. When I saw her portfolio I knew we had to hire her, and she went above and beyond!
Michelle is a true professional, she KNOWS what she's doing. The day of our wedding she didn't waste any time. Even when we were switching locations she was always snapping photos. We got every photo we wanted... family, bridal party, all of it. And several truly special photographs of my husband and I. I never felt rushed or worried that we weren't getting the shots we wanted.
Taking photos can sometimes feel awkward, especially this kind of photography. Michelle made me feel so comfortable, I felt like a model! If you put your trust in her, she will not disappoint. We walked into an alley behind a dumpster at Michelle's suggestion and got some of my FAVORITE pics of the night.
Michelle made sure to send sneak peeks in the weeks after the wedding and when we got the full album I was blown away. Michelle really told the story of our wedding through her photographs, it was like reliving the moment all over. Who needs a video when you have photographs like these??
Hiring Michelle was worth every penny and I'm extremely proud and grateful we will have these photos to last a lifetime. Michelle's photos are timeless, elegant, and intimate. I would HIGHLY recommend Michelle Scott Photography.

She truly wants to get to know you which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Her artistic direction that she brings is astounding. She will find amazing nooks and crannies that you would typically walk right by. I love the intimacy and candidness she brought to our wedding photos and will treasure these forever.

Lauren Sent on 11/08/2015I have put off writing this review only because there are not enough words to adequately describe how incredible Michelle is. Her talent and professionalism are truly astounding and we are absolutely blown away by our engagement and wedding photos. Michelle was actually recommended to us by another photographer we were unable to book, but I am convinced that it was meant to be and know that Michelle was the perfect person to capture our special day. She was flexible from day one (we had our initial meeting via Skype because we couldn't get our days to sync up), made my camera-shy fiance (now husband) feel at ease, and captured so many moments on our wedding day that I will cherish forever. Our biggest problem now is figuring out which pictures to frame and print! I cannot recommend Michelle enough and I do not hesitate recommending her to others. -

Romantic Perfection
Working with Michelle was a dream! She completely captured our vision perfectly. We enjoyed working with her so much. She issued a thorough initial questionnaire which helped us realize we wanted to work with her! She was flexible with creating a custom package for us. Michelle made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and did a fabulous job directing us to get THE SHOT over and over again and she worked seamlessly with our videographer. The best investment we made! -
