Michael Dempsey and his team were so professional, fun energy on our big day, and made all the photo taking seem easy and enjoyable.

We got married at the Lodge at the Stone House and he knew all the best spots to get great shots while keeping us on schedule and moving along. The photos I received exceeded my expectations and my family and bridesmaids all commented on how great the photos came out! They were classic (and some more modern style) and very tasteful and we got some really beautiful portraits of the bride and groom and our dogs (some in color, some in black and white) printed to showcase in our home!

Stunning photos!

Highly recommend Michael for photography and videography! My husband and I hired Michael for our wedding at Stone House at Stirling Ridge in April 2023. We were impressed with his work and grateful he also offer videographer services. He was very familiar with our venue and luckily also knew our hotel nearby. Since it poured on our wedding day, we had to change the location of our first look and family photos. He was flexible with the change in plans and had a great back-up plan. The days leading up to the wedding, he communicated his back up plan and he knew all the spots in the hotel to get the best shots. He was consistently organized, calm, professional and communicative. His videographer was also friendly, calm, and professional. Our pictures truly came out stunning and we can’t stop looking at them! Thank you Michael!!

The most stunning pictures!!

Michael was the best wedding photographer we could have asked for! He captured every single detail - including small things like our napkins and drink signs! Our portraits came out absolutely stunning, as the cherry blossoms were in full bloom in Spring Lake! He made sure to check off every photo that we had requested ahead of time, and we still had the whole night to enjoy the reception! The candid dance floor shots were some of my favorites! I highly recommend!

Such a great experience!

Working with Michael and team was truly a dream. I was not very confident in knowing what I needed but Michael was there to guide me the whole way through! My pictures were amazing! I was a covid bride and each time I had to reschedule my wedding date Michael was readily available and understanding to the situation and was extremely accommodating. I will be working with Michael and team for all of my photography needs! Truly, the right choice for any couple on their big day. Thank you for everything!

Great team!

Thank you to Michael and his team for capturing the highlights of our wedding day! From the beginning Michael was very organized and always responded to my questions in a timely manner. The day of the wedding, they made sure all the photos that we had wanted were taken. They also made sure we were on time to get the perfect lighting at sunset which really made our pictures extra special while capturing the beauty of our venue. We especially enjoyed the candid photos that looking back has really helped us remember our day. Our wedding album recently came in and we are so impressed with the quality of photos and the album itself. Could not be happier with our decision for photographer/videographer!

Picture perfect Photography

phenomenal for my Wife's and my wedding. They were prompt, attentive, kind, professional and just as importantly, invisible. I wouldn't have known they were there if we hadn't hire them! Amazing Team to Work With!

Michael Dempsey photography was great! His company worked with us to meet our needs for the day. We had several children and adults with special needs and the staff was absolutely wonderful working with them. Also, we wanted more shots in the moment and they absolutely did that. I also highly recommend their video guy. The video he made of our wedding was beyond exceptional! He totally captured the feeling of the day! This is something I will watching for the rest of my life and I love every moment of it.

Best photos

Michael was AMAZING to work with! We did our engagement photos in Liberty State park and they are so stunning that we used them for our Save the Date! Michael knows how to make everyone comfortable by adding a little humor into the process! We had record breaking heat on the day of our wedding, but Michael was very thoughtful and kept us out of the sun as much as possible. He took the most spectacular pictures throughout the entire ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He captured the day perfectly and we couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Michael so go book him now!

Ryland Inn Wedding Photos

We used Michael for our wedding in August and could not be happier! He was professional and easy to work with from start to finish and the pictures came out beautifully. He has worked at our venue a lot and gave us great ideas for back drops and settings. We also did an engagement shoot with him as part of our package and loved those photos as well!

From the moment we began working with Michael Dempsey he put us at ease. This began from the first meeting all the way through our engagement photos into our ceremony and reception to planning our wedding album. Each stage we've gone through with Michael he has guided us making the journey smooth and enjoyable. His finished product is amazing. The photos Michael and his colleague took throughout our day really captured everything, which makes looking back at our day even more special. Michael was the most wonderful photographer! My fiancée and I always felt comfortable around him from the engagement shoot through all of the photos at our ceremony/reception! At our ceremony and reception, he and his colleague took incredible photos but never got in the way of any one! Michael was so thorough, every step of the way! He was calm and confident during the planning and during the actual wedding day. He was incredibly responsible and professional. We first found Michael when touring our venue, The Ryland Inn and another contender The Stone House. Both venues had his beautiful albums out. They made the decision simple. From first contact Michael made everything easy, he was totally flexible with our limited availability for our engagement shoot. He was awesome every step of the way with the planning phases and on the day of, on time, professional, stays the whole time to catch all the magical moments, no early cake cutting! Our album was beautiful and the constant changes and back and forth Michael made it all a smooth process. The day of second photographer was awesome too!

Words cannot express how happy my husband and I are with our wedding photos thanks to Michael Dempsey Photography. Mike is extremely pleasant to work with and took the time to get to know our unique and large venue space as well as any special requests we had. I especially loved that during our special day, we really got to enjoy ourselves and Mike really captured every candid moment so beautifully. Mike is not intrusive at all and the mild intrusions are well worth it. As my husband and I were walking out from our outdoor wedding ceremony, Mike saw that the sun was beaming beautifully above us and knew that he wanted to capture the special moment. He acted quickly and switched to the right camera lens. As my husband and I kissed, Mike asked us to do it again. one. This picture turned out to be our absolute favorite and we call it the “money shot.” We highly recommend Mike to anyone!

We had the pleasure of having Michael capture our wedding day a few weeks ago in October. From the very beginning, he was very easy to work with and even sat down with us on a Skype video-call since we live in California. Planning a wedding from across the country isn't easy, but the one person we never had to worry about was Michael. I had read other reviews describing him as a "Ninja" and, I must say, they were absolutely right! We recently got our pictures and there were so many photos that I wasn't expecting to see at all. Unbeknownst to us and our guests, he captured a lot of amazing moments which allowed both me and my husband to re-live our wedding day as well as to see many other moments we missed on the day-of. In spite of the horrid weather on our wedding day (thunderstorms), Michael captured great photos and was so pleasant and patient with us. We'd absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Michael is wonderful to work with! We had such a great experience with him both leading up to and during our wedding day. He was extremely responsive the entire process. On the day of our wedding, Michael and his colleague were on time, made us all comfortable and were very efficient! Every time I would think of wanting a picture with a certain group during the reception, Michael was already there snapping away! Not to mention, we received the photo gallery two weeks after our event!! Such a great surprise to come home to after our honeymoon. Michael was the photographer for our May 2017 wedding and we could not have been more thrilled with his work. From a professional standpoint Michael was prompt, courteous, stayed at a comfortable distance from the guests and was reliable with payment reminders and open to questions during the planning process. We recently received the final pictures and they are absolutely spectacular. I am not exaggerating at all when I say there was literally not one bad picture- he truly captured the mood of the day in his shots and we are forever grateful that he was able to capture the day in such accuracy for us to look back on and remember fondly for years to come. We couldn't be more pleased with our wedding pictures from Michael Dempsey Photography. He came highly recommended by the venue and his on-site work and resulting photos show why. We had a July 4th wedding and particularly wanted the best possible photos of NYC fireworks in the background, all of which came out unbelievably stellar. Michael was a pleasure to work with both in the planning stages and on the big day itself, and even drove me from the hotel to the venue with him to avoid the bride prior to First Look as she and the family were taking a booked shuttle. He unobtrusively captured high points from the evening, and our 700+ photos beautifully show off our family, friends, venue, background and the spirit of the day as a whole. We wholeheartedly recommend him for any party needs.

Where do I begin? Michael Dempsey is the best ! From the first meeting we had with him and observing how detailed he was in making sure that the bride to be and myself had every a angle covered regarding what pictures we wanted and the locations to the timing of where we had to be ....and this just a couple of months before the actual wedding day!!!! Then came the big day WE had the perfect storm ....literally SNOW ! But that did not stop Michael nor his assistant Russ they came prepared and earlier to make sure we wouldn't miss the pictures we wanted. Michael is the best in the business , he is a true artist and master of the craft , thanks to him and Russ for making our special day one of the best ! we can't wait to see the pictures !!! Michael is an AMAZING photographer! Professional, prompt, precise and personable from start to finish. Michael Dempsey was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a photographer who is professional, has a unique style, and takes breath taking photos. He is the type of photographer who you don't even know is there yet is able to capture stunning, timeless photos. During the months leading up to my wedding if I ever had a question/concern and needed to speak with him, he always responded in a timely manner (if he was not able to answer at that particular time) and was willing to do whatever necessary to appease me. The quality of his photos is such that I have never seen before and when I saw the photos that he took of my wedding i was simply amazed/in awe.

Michael was everything we wanted in a photographer. He was very accommodating as our wedding was the day before our reception in two different towns. He made it to both and took some amazing pictures. During the reception, he was constantly moving and getting great pictures of the us and the guests. He has a calm air about him and it helped to make us comfortable during the photos. I would definitely recommend him for any event you might have.

I initially chose Michael Dempsey as my wedding photographer because I thought his online picture samples were the best of all the ones I was looking at. In addition to a great portfolio of pictures, Michael also had a wedding picture package that matched exactly what I wanted (no album, just an electronic copy of all the pictures that I could print, share, etc.). After booking him, I informed my wedding venue and they were very impressed! They told me he's one of the best and in high demand so I suppose I got very lucky that he was available for my wedding day. Anyway, his service was great--he was very responsive to all forms of communication and he really listened to our requests for our wedding day. We've just received the pictures and we're so happy with them!

Our wedding was on Sunday March 13, 2016 at The Park Savoy Estate, Michael meet us there for "getting ready" pictures and from the moment he arrived he was nothing but kind and professional! He is like a photographer ninja! He is creative and easy going, he made sure to capture every moment I had asked for and even reminded me of the pictures I wanted! Michael is the BEST! From our first phone call to the main event (our wedding!) Michael was flawless and made me feel at ease. He captured every moment of our day perfectly- I couldn't be happier. I'm having a hard time picking which photos to print! They are all so beautiful.
On your wedding day you want your photos to be perfect because after the day is over all you have are the photos to look back on. Choosing a photographer can be stressful, but as soon as I saw Michael's work I knew he was the photographer for us!

Michael is not only kind, accommodating, and responsive, he took magnificent photos at our wedding. His quiet, calm demeanor was a welcome presence on the big day and he captured all the moments we could have hoped for. During the reception there were a number of times when I thought, "Gosh, I hope Michael gets a picture of this." only to turn around to see him snapping pictures.

I don't even know where to start when it comes to reviewing Michael Dempsey Photographers...when I met him I knew he was the one to work with us on our wedding day. He makes you feel comfortable and less frantic about not knowing what the hell you're doing! He never badgered us about ANYTHING! From start to finish he and Joslyn (his other photographer) were simply amazing!

On the day of our wedding one photographer was with my husband and Michael was with me...they were on time and ready to go as soon as they got there! We took all the necessary shots and got them out of the way in the beginning of the day and before the reception. My husband jokingly said "six minutes till cocktail hour" and Michael basically said ya know what go we have what we need! It was awesome. Then throughout the night I didn't even know he was there! Talk about ninja skills. These two were taking pictures of everything and not once did you feel like "hey man you're ruining the fun!"

I don't even know how you can use anyone else for your wedding day..sorry other photographers but I stand by this! Book this guy he's simply a rockstar!

PS he also gave me a small (amazing) keepsake at the end of the night...a small album with a few of his favorite shots from the day! Like I said N I N J A!

I really can't think of exactly what to say about Michael. Not only was he completely professional but he was so easy to communicate with. He listened patiently to all of my rambling and nonsense and came through on everything we wanted! We have two little boys who are 4 and 2 and we wanted them to be a big part of our day. We also had our two nephews (also both 4) and our niece (also 2) in our wedding party. Michael was able to capture truly beautiful pictures of all of them, even though for more than half of the time they were being pretty difficult (because, honestly, what child really wants to spend a half hour getting dressed? Then be told they can't run around and play with their cousins because they can't get too dirty before pictures are taken!). Temper tantrums and major-mass-confusion aside, Michael was somehow able to get these amazing pictures through all the chaos. AND he remained completely in the background, not being intrusive but he was still able to guide us to poses and picture opportunities. A big thing for me was capturing perfect pictures that were either candid or at least looked candid, and I have more than enough to choose from for frames and albums (he even caught my mom falling flat on her butt on the beach, and the wedding party's reaction, which of course was laughing hysterically). The album we chose also came out beautiful, I only had a few ideas of how I wanted it to look and Michael (and his team) filled in all the rest and I could not be happier with the outcome! I think one of the biggest things for our day was the special little surprise he gave us at the end of our wedding. Michael Dempsey Photography was one of the best choices I made for our wedding and I would, and have, recommended him to anyone I know who is getting married.

Michael photographed our wedding this past October. Choosing him was by far one of the best decision we made for our wedding day. From the very first meeting Michael made my husband and I feel at ease (we are not very big picture takers). He was extremely responsive to any questions we had prior to the big day, made us feel fully comfortable and was very easy to work with. He captured every moment of our big day, moments I even forgot happened. He was everywhere, but also seemed like he was not there at all. I could not be more thrilled with our pictures and would recommend Michael to anyone. Moreover, my family and I have been to, and been in, many weddings. We all agree that Michael is by far the best photographer we have worked with (respectful, nice, friendly, and his final product is amazing!). If we ever have an event we need a photographer for we will be calling Michael Dempsey!

After meeting Michael and seeing some of his work, my husband and I were definitely interested in booking him for our wedding. He is so kind and shows a true passion for photography. As a trial, we hired him to take our engagement photos. My husband and I are not exactly comfortable in front of a camera, but Michael made us feel entirely at ease and was very good at directing us. Once we saw how beautifully the pictures turned out, we knew we wanted him to photograph our wedding. Throughout the entire planning process, Michael was always responsive and very flexible.

On our wedding day, Michael and Emma (another photographer Michael brought with him) were so unobtrusive that we didn't even realize they were there. Our guests were very impressed with how well they managed to stay out of sight and were not at all distracting. Both Michael and Emma were so accommodating that they didn't even flinch when the bridal party sort of took over and posed a few of their own photos. During our reception, Michael surprised us and set up a screen, displaying a slideshow of photos that had been taken earlier in the day. Our guests loved it! Then, before he left, Michael surprised us again and presented us with a little photo book that held some pictures from throughout the day.

After seeing our proofs, my husband and I could not be happier with the pictures. Michael and Emma took so many creative shots (that we didn't even realize they were taking) and truly captured every special moment of our beautiful day. We are ecstatic with our wedding photos and highly recommend Michael Dempsey Photography!

Michael Dempsey Photography did an amazing job capturing every moment of our wedding. Michael was a true professional. He was easy to communicate with, and was always prompt with his responses. He has an artistic eye, which is evident in all of his beautiful photos. During the reception, Michael had a computer monitor set up so our guests could see pictures taken earlier in the day. When the night was over, he gave me a photo album with the highlights of our wedding. It was so nice to have a printed album that same day! It fits right in my purse, so I take it with me everywhere. I also love how he created a Facebook album that I could share. So many nice touches! We are absolutely thrilled with our pictures and overall experience with Michael Dempsey Photography.

I would highly recommend Michael Dempsey Photography. Our overall experience was incredibly positive and our pictures are beautiful! Michael Dempsey is a preferred photographer of our venue, Liberty House Restuarant, which was how we found him. He and the other photographer at our wedding, Mike, knew exactly where to go to get the best shots and were extremely creative with where photos were taken from and how they were taken. We received our pictures not long after our wedding and were so impressed with the quality of the photos, as well as the variety. They captured every moment of the day, from getting ready to the shuttles pulling away from the venue at night. Even throughout the night, they were always in the right place capturing all the important moments.

I was also impressed with how relaxed the overall process was. Michael and Mike were able to read my husband's and my personalities and even before seeing the photos I could tell they they were going to look very natural.

Again, Michael has been wonderful to work with, and I would strongly recommend Michael Dempsey Photography to anyone looking to get professional photos.

All I can say is he is amazingly talented!! Ive been to my fair share of weddings and seen dozens of wedding albums and his pictures blow them all away. He captured basically every important moment and still remained like a fly on the wall. He is part of the reason that our day ran so smoothly. From the planning process right through to the end of the night, he was able to help guide us when we needed guidance, yet still listened to what we wanted and took into consideration our vision of the day. He is extremely professional, yet still fit in well with our crowd, which made everyone involved very comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! On your wedding day its nice to be surrounded by people who are not only professional and amazing at what they do, but by people who know what to do to make your day as flawless and special as possible.

Our pictures came out gorgeous. He took a variety of shots from a variety of angles both posed and candid. A wedding is a stressful and crazy day. We were on a strict schedule and it seemed the night was over before we knew it. Despite a hectic day, Michael was able to capture the really special moments as my younger sister pinned my veil, my mother adjusted my bustle and when I just closed my eyes during the first dance with my husband and allowed myself to live in the moment. Michael patiently waited for those intimate moments and captured them for us. He and I corresponded through out the year and he was always available to answer questions via email or by phone. I appreciated his relaxed and calm demeanor on the wedding day because it helped me feel less nervous. I highly recommended Michael Dempsey Photography for your wedding.

I have to thank our photographer Michael and his crew for catching memories we can share for the rest of our lives. Michael was so attentive and understood exactly what we wanted. The best part was when Michael and my DJ got together and ran some of the pictures we had taken earlier before the ceremony. The finishing touch was the gift Michael gave me at the end of the wedding night just a little book with some of the amazing pictures that were taken that day. I cannot thank Michael and his crew enough, you never know what you are going to get and what i got was simply amazing !! My now husband, Alexander Smithlin, and I used Michael's services for our 06/15/2012 wedding. Michael came highly reccomended with our venue, so we knew that he should be first on our list to check out. Well, we didn't think he would be the last, as well, but he was! From the moment that we met Michael and looked through his work, we knew that his style was what we wanted for our engagement photos and wedding day. He is so easy to work with, has a great eye for capturing beautiful shots, and never once made us feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. During our wedding, we actually didn't even realize that he was there most of the time! It was also a beautiful touch having some of the preceremony photos and ceremony photos displayed for all of our guests- we didn't even know that that was going to happen. It was a great suprise! Most of our photos were candid, which was exactly what we wanted since we feel that captures the true feelings of the days events. We can't reccomend Michael enough (and we have reccomended him many times)! This will not be the last time using his services.

Michael was so wonderful to work with on our wedding day. He had the right amount of professionalism and humor to help us make it through the hot and sticky day that was our wedding! SO easy to work with!!

Michael was a crucial part of the success of our August 2023 wedding at the Stone House! His composure throughout the day was unmatched and reassuring. My husband and I both don’t love to have our picture taken (let alone hundreds of pictures) and Michael effortlessly guided us through the best spots and poses. He captured such a wide range of artistic portraits and details. It was SO hard to pick favorites for our photo album; there were just too many to love! He did a great job capturing all of the details of the day and accommodating any requests we had. His second photographer brought a lot of personality to the mix and helped keep things light amidst the craziness! We are eternally grateful for the passion and expertise Michael and his team had to offer on our special day!

If you need a wedding photographer pick Michael Dempsey! We used him for our engagement pictures and wedding pictures are absolutely LOVED them! He is professional, kind and has a great laid back personality! He made us feel like ourselves. All of our wedding photos were captured in the moment and showed our true chemistry together.
