Professional, Amazing Quality

I chose Mia after seeing her work on IG. I loved that she works with all ethnicities and knew she would be the right choice. I brought in some clip-in extensions that she worked seamlessly into my beach waves. I wish she could do my hair and makeup every day!

I've literally never felt prettier!

Mia is not only the best make-up artist in the world, she is also incredibly sweet! Truly, she is worth every penny and knows how to make your hair and makeup a master piece!

Very talented team

I'm so happy I found Mia and her team to help us look our best. They really understood my style. My mother was very resistant to having her makeup done professionally and they were exceptionally patient with her. Everyone came out beautifully!

I felt gorgeous inside and out!

Absolutely book Mia!! We had originally planned to get married in May, but needed to switch things up for a smaller ceremony in November due to covid. Mia was flexible, communicative, and happily supportive every step of the way. She arrived the morning of the wedding with an extremely professional setup. If you needed or wanted it, she had it plus some!! I felt gorgeous inside and out the day of my wedding, and even had a touch-up kit for the day :) Above everything, her grounded, positive, and calm demeanor is lovely! I'm so grateful for her presence the morning of the wedding. She eased the big energy of the day, and I felt so grounded and beautiful. I grew up on Kauai and know many of the wedding vendors in the community. Hands-down, Mia is the BEST! Look no further to feel beautiful inside and out on your big day :)!

Never felt more beautiful

I was connected with Mia to help with my hair and makeup for my elopement through the wedding coordinators Despite never meeting or talking to her prior to the morning of, she was able to make all of my wedding hair/makeup goals come true! It was a great experience working with her and I had a great time talking to her as she helped me get ready. I highly recommend her to anyone hoping to look and feel their best for any occasion.

Can Mia do my makeup/hair every day?

Working with Mia is THE BEST. She's thoughtful and understanding, even when working with vagueness. I did almost zero preparations for my initial trial, and Mia was able to flawlessly turn that vision into my best self. Come wedding day, Mia again knocked it out of the park. I felt as beautiful as I've ever been and felt like a true princess on my wedding day. My bridesmaids/mother/mother in law all looked gorgeous and we all had such a fun time getting ready together. I only wish that Mia and her team were able to make me look this good all the time!

Mia is amazing!!

Seriously Mia is such a fantastic talent. She did hair and makeup for my mother in law, my sister in law, and me for my wedding. She really paid attention to our style and did a very pretty natural glam look. She took her time, she was patient, lovely to talk to, and really made me feel at ease and confident! I was extremely satisfied with the look she did for us.

Mia is very talented and also very patient. She was able to work with me last minute on what I wanted (haku lei with half updo). I was beyond stressed out during the week before my wedding, and Mia went the extra mile to chase me down to make sure I got ready the way I wanted for my wedding. I've also only worked with her on my wedding day, but I'm pretty confident she can recreate anything you hand her. She is also extremely easy to talk to, which made the preparation go by so fast. From my first message to her, Mia stood out because she was quick to respond and so friendly in her emails! Just like I'd hoped, she created a stunning look for my wedding day that was not too dramatic, but turned out beautifully in the photos and felt natural on my face. It lasted all day and night without budging! Most importantly, she just has a good energy, and the impression I got is that she is a woman of skill, integrity, and fine character, which is the kind of person I'd want to spend my time around and made for good vibes on my wedding day.

Mia did an AMAZING job for myself and my girls! Even after an afternoon ceremony, running around for photos, and dancing the night away, my makeup was fabulous when I arrived at the hotel at 1:00am. So many people commented on how good my girls looked! She comes armed with makeup, hair tools, and the kitchen sink! She can do it all, and is so sweet on top of everything else. Don't hesitate to book her! You won't regret it!

She made me look gorgeous.
Easy to work with, on time, sweet personality and a real pro at both makeup and hair. She effortlessly applied clip-in hair extensions and individual eyelash extensions. My makeup was natural but still perfect for photos. Best thing I can say is that she just made me look like a more polished version of me and my husband loved it.

Mia was the top recommendation from my wedding officiant when arranging our elopement on the island of Kauai. As soon as I saw her work and read all the glowing reviews my mind was made up! We were arranging everything fairly last minute and I just happened to luck out and Mia was available on my date. Not only is Mia's work stunning, but her prices are very reasonable as well. She was very responsive to emails and she was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. She came to me the morning of my wedding to do my hair and makeup. I went with airbrush makeup which I had never had before, but highly recommend! It looked absolutely flawless and held up well throughout the day, despite torrential downpour for the last half of our photoshoot! I have very sensitive eyes and I had also had eyelash extensions applied before my trip and Mia was very gentle and mindful when applying eyeliner etc. so my eyes didn't water and ruin everything!
I was going for a very relaxed half-up do with braids and Mia nailed that too. It was effortless but beautiful. She also fastened the flowers in my hair and they didn't budge through 4 hours of shooting with our photographer, even in the pouring rain! I highly recommend Mia, she will take great care of you on your wedding day!

After hours of research to find the best wedding hair and makeup artist on Kauai, I was lucky enough to come across Mia Moriguchi. Hiring her team was one of the easiest decisions to make.

I had the unique experience of being a wedding planner professionally for several years and THEN being a bride. I knew I needed to find someone that was talented, easy to talk to and fairly priced. She was super responsive and scheduled a trial to lock in the look, I couldn't have been happier! We booked her for Bride hair and makeup, 2 mothers and 4 bridesmaids and they made all of us feel beautiful!

She books up quickly so if you are looking for a super talented hair and makeup artist that TRAVELS for your wedding, you've found her!! Thank you Mia for being so terrific :)

Mia and her crew were amazing! I asked her to do a trial for me and didn't want to take any of it off! They also did hair and makeup for about 9 people in my bridal party, and finished right when the photographer arrived so we had fresh faces for photography :D The entire day was a lot of fun, it felt like we were all out for a day at the salon. Everyone looked gorgeous, I could not have asked for better hair and makeup for the wedding. I would recommend her to anyone!

Mia did the hair and makeup for myself and two bridesmaids for my destination wedding in Kauai yesterday. She was the best makeup artist I've ever had. Her looks are natural, polished and so elegant. She is calm and efficient, and requires little direction. All you need to do is show her a photo and she can recreate almost anything. Most of all, Mia is so warm, kind and beautiful. You would be lucky to have Mia do your wedding makeup and hair. Thanks so much Mia xo

I was so happy that I found Mia!!! I did a lot of research when choosing my hair and makeup artist for my destination wedding in September. Mia is incredibly talented, detail orientated, and so sweet. I had 7 bridesmaids so Mia brought two other stylists with her who were amazing as well! She had a great team and I couldn't have been happier with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. To be honest, I was a little nervous only because I would say I'm picky and I wanted more of the "messy" styled look than the slick but let me tell you.... Mia can do it all!!!! I felt like a model on my wedding day, thanks to Mia!! Don't bother contacting anyone else, hurry up and book Mia before she is too busy! (Also, her services are reasonably priced, bonus! If you're looking for someone to do your bridal hair and make-up, Mia Moriguchi is your lady! I couldn't have been more ecstatic with how my hair and make-up turned out.

First off, Mia is super responsive to emails. I had a ton of questions, and Mia always responded with good guidance.

Secondly, Mia was punctual (arrived 15 minutes early to set up) and came with print outs of the pictures I had sent her. Her level of preparation was very professional.

Finally, and most importantly, Mia replicated the hair and make-up I wanted perfectly! Everything held up throughout the evening, too.

Not only is Mia amazing at her craft, but she is also super sweet and calming (helpful on the day of your wedding!). So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and book her, as she is usually booked several months out!

I was extremely pleased with how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding from Mia Moriguchi! She did my hair exactly like the photos I showed her and my makeup was flawless! My makeup lasted all day and still looked good by the end of the night. My bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done by her team members and they weren't as pleased with their service.

For me, Mia was wonderful and I would highly recommend her!

Mia was awesome! She does both hair and makeup and she is great at both- check out her Instagram. You can see that she is versatile, she can do anything and it is all beautiful. She brought a team and they did hair and makeup for my mom and my bridesmaids. They all looked great. A few days after my wedding she did all the makeup for a photshoot for the brand Show Me Your MuMu- she's the best!

She also provided me with a schedule prior to the wedding, very organized, professional and sweet.

Being from the mainland, I wasn't able to have a test run with any make up artist's from Kauai. I actually am pretty picky about who does my make up. I was searching all over the internet. I even was looking at the photos and reviews from other bride's. I had luckily stumbled upon Mia's page. I looked at her worked and I immediately loved it. I had emailed her right away knowing that it seemed like she would be booked up fast! Luckily I was able to book her! She is amazing! She helped me so much! I really didn't have to worry much at all about my make up or how things would go because she would answer all my questions or give me advice! It really helped put me at ease! On the day of the wedding Mia was very professional but also so down to earth that it made it comfortable to be around her! Thank you so much Mia for your amazing work! Mia came highly recommended from our photographers, Sea Light Studios, and I am so glad I found her. She was very responsive over email, which was important because my fiance and I were eloping and would not on Kauai until the day before the wedding. I sent her a few pictures of what I was looking for knowing we would not have a test run. From the moment she arrived at my hotel, she put me at ease and I was able to relax and enjoy the day. She recreated exactly what I was looking for, and even better, it lasted through the whole day despite a bit of rain and lots of wind! I would highly recommend Mia!

Just wanted to write a review for Mia who's service was not only exceptional, valuable but also a very personable person to befriend and work with. My husband John and I are very fortunate and blessed to have work with such talented, genuine people on the day of our elopement and Mia was certainly one of them. I'm not one to run around with makeup everyday and I've always and I mean always have had trouble finding makeup artist to make me look beautiful but also like myself at the end of it during big occasions. (proms, parties, etc) I've had quite a number of experiences and I can honestly say that Mia is the first make up artist I've worked with that was able to put the vision I had together and allow me to still look like myself in a good way. I've always look weird or odd or just not like me no matter how much or how little makeup someone put on me. I guess is just one of those things that it never felt right when someone does my makeup except when I do it myself but Mia is like my right hand that looks like makeup I do on myself but just better, much better and more natural. I can't thank Mia enough for not only her service but treating us like her friend as if we known each other forever. that's the kind of comfort she gave me on a very special and nervous day and I only wish the best for her and her business as she deserves.

Mia and her assistant, Caitlin, were so great to work with. Neither me nor my 5 bridesmaids wear much make up, if any, on a daily basis. This was a concern for some, but Mia did so great at making our make up look natural and flattering! My hair turned out exactly like I had requested, as did the bridesmaid's. Mia Moriguchi did hair and makeup for myself and my mother and Maid of Honor for my wedding in April. Mia was professional and worked hard to make sure everyone was happy. She did an excellent job with our airbrushed makeup and was experienced with working with clip-in hair extensions that I used. Overall, our hair and makeup held up well all evening! I've never seen my mother look so beautiful. I had opted to do a trial hair and makeup run through 2 days before my wedding. I was surprised how detailed she was even with that! I thought it was going to be more casual... I felt so bad washing it all off just a few hours later :( I would definitely recommend a run through just to ease your mind, but really it wasn't necessary because she nailed it the first time. I had sent Mia several images of hair and makeup that I liked so maybe that helped too, but if you are a little more of a hands-on, high maintenance bride then definitely do the trial! Overall Mia was a pleasure to work with with reasonable prices (hair included with makeup.... not a separate charge). Everyone looked gorgeous. Especially recommend for destination brides as well!

Mia is an amazing make-up artist and hair stylist! Mia and her two assistants did hair and make-up for my 4 bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law and myself the morning of my wedding. When I met Mia for my hair/make-up trial the day before my wedding she immediately put me at ease. She is such a sweet person and very talented at her profession. Mia and her 2 assistants arrived right on time to my hotel room the morning of the wedding and immediately got to work. They were all very professional and I'm so happy I made the decision to hire Mia to do my wedding day hair and make-up. She made me feel so beautiful and I can't recommend her enough to other Kauai brides!

Mia did such a spectacular job on not only my hair and makeup (the bride), but also my bridesmaids, my mother and my soon to be mother in law. She came to our resort and set up shop our condo which was a huge help on the day of the wedding. I showed her a picture ahead of time of what I was thinking and she did that and more. I have received so many compliments on my hair and makeup and its all thanks to Mia and her amazing skills. Mia is AMAZING! She is SO kind and talented, and I could not be happier with my decision to hire her to do my hair and make up on my wedding day. At my trial, Mia put me completely at ease. I brought in a photo of what I thought was the perfect hair style, and she styled my hair even better than the photo! On my wedding day, she and her assistant showed up early (even though she was sick!) and worked their magic. Everyone was happy with the results. I got the airbrush make up and I'm glad I did; it lasted all night and I did not have to worry about it at all. And I loved my hair style almost as much as I loved my dress!

Hands down, Mia is the best hair and make up artist on Kauai (and probably in all of Hawaii). I will actually fly her stateside if I have another very special occasion. Mahalo nui loa, Mia!

Mia did my hair and makeup for my post wedding photo session on Kauai. She did an excellent job! She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. She was thorough, took her time, and was very professional. I was so pleased with the finished look! I felt like she did a much better job than that that was done on my actual wedding day (used a different artist due to the fact that she was already booked on my actual wedding day). Overall, would absolutely recommend Mia Moriguchi.

We had Mia for our destination wedding in Oahu and we are very happy with her work! We did all our communications via email. I normally don't put on makeup so I was looking for someone who can do more natural type of makeup so I don't look too different on photos. Mia was able to do exactly that and made me feel very pretty on my wedding day! Strongly recommend having a makeup and hair trial because I didn't like the first hair trial and we switched hair styles. Also would be best to find photos of how you would like your hair done to show Mia ahead of time. I was very happy with the makeup by Mia, the fake eyelashes were not a full set but separate clusters, which were much more comfortable and natural to wear. The only thing was that our moms were not very happy with their makeup by one of Mia's assistant, so they had to fix it which took up a bit of time. Overall though, very happy and pleasant experience with Mia, she is a super friendly and sweet person.

Mia did an amazing job on my hair/makeup for my wedding - as well as my 5 bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law. Not only is she very sweet, but she is very detailed in her work and genuinely wants to make you look your best. We emailed a lot prior to the wedding and she was very responsive. She was very open to ideas or comments that I had. We did a trial the day before the wedding and it worked out perfectly. On the day of the wedding, we actually ran ahead of schedule with all the hair and makeup. I was very impressed with her and her team.

I got married in Poipu, Kauai and Mia did my hair and makeup. I sent her a few pictures of what I had in mind and she worked her magic. She was fast and truly is amazing at what she does. She is a wonderful artist and she made me look like the stunning bride I wanted to look like. And she is kind and fun to converse with. I was completely at ease.

Mia is amazing! I don't normally wear makeup because I have sensitive skin, and to be honest, I don't know how to apply makeup without making myself look like a clown. My Maid of Honor found Mia for my destination wedding on Kauai, and I was nervous, because I wasn't able to do a makeup trial before the wedding. Mia was extremely responsive and explained the types of makeup that she uses for her clients, and assured me that she uses high quality products good for all skin types. She came to my hotel room early on the day of my wedding, and was prepared with more makeup and supplies that I have ever seen outside of a department store makeup counter. She beautifully styled my hair and captured the perfect makeup look that I had envisioned and discussed with her over email that I wanted for my wedding. She also styled my bridesmaids and applied their makeup as well. She is extremely reasonably priced, more so than most of the other vendors I had looked at online. And the great thing with Mia is that you can arrange for her to come to your hotel room. How great is that? Getting ready in the comfort of your own room! Mia is so incredibly talented, responsive to inquiries, and so easy to work with. Highly recommend Mia's services!

Mia is amazing. I contacted her a year before my event because that's how fast she books up! Her prices were the most reasonable, and she was available on Kauai and on Oahu, which was perfect because I live on Kauai and my wedding was on Oahu. She created an image for me based on a number of photos I had sent to her, and I loved it. So vintage chic! I had my trial the week before the wedding so I could fly to Oahu to do my bachelorette, and I received SO MANY compliments about how perfect my hair and make up looked. The day of the wedding, she actually came to the venue early, did my mom's hair and make up, then did mine with time to spare. She is so efficient and creative; I can't understand why anyone would choose someone else for her services.

Mia was wonderful. She did my hair and makeup just the way I wanted. My makeup did not feel thick and clumpy which was really important because I don't like a lot of makeup on my face. She was also able to incorporate my veil and my hair pin. Great job!

Mia was referred to me by my coordinator. After looking at her website I gave her a call. She was so sweet and patient and helpful! I think I booked her right then and there. Honestly I couldn't believe how affordable her services are! She came to our room and did my hair and make up as well as one of my friends. My friend was just raving about Mia!
