Jarrod is amazing

My husband has known Jarrod for a long time, and when we first started planning the wedding, he was adamant that we hire Jarrod to be our DJ.
After the wedding, I completely understand why he was so determined to work with Jarrod - he did a phenomenal job of playing all the songs we absolutely wanted to hear, while also ensuring that the party never stopped.
Jarrod, we cannot thank you enough for making our night so special and memorable.

Jarrod at Metro DC DJs & Entertainment is the best! He was so easy to work with, and my husband and I loved meeting with him to discuss music and what the flow of our wedding would look like. He was very responsive, and professional, and we received so many compliments on what a great DJ he was! Our guests loved the song selection, and thought he was a really great MC for the night. They also have this great website, where you can pick all of the songs you'd like played at your event, which really made the process so easy. We cannot recommend them enough for any event you're hosting!

What can I not say!? Jarrod was awesome! He MC'd our wedding with such class and professionalism. Him and his sound equipment kept people moving and on the dance floor. The lighting he provided was a great finishing touch to the lighting that was provided. He was able to keep everything on time and his website planning made our planning way easier. I don't think we could have had a better DJ than Jarrod. Thank you so much!

DJ Jarrod from Metro DC DJs did an amazing job at our wedding. He made sure that all events during the reception transitioned smoothly and had everyone rocking out on the dance floor! He kept in contact with us through the time we signed him until the wedding day to make sure all of our needs were met. Lastly, the fees were very affordable, especially for the high quality service we received. Highly recommend!

Jarrod Wronski was outstanding! Our guests were on the dance floor all night and the party rocked! The website for planning the music and timeline for the evening was super and so easy to use. Jarrod is a pro and was able to coordinate the evening for us so that everything ran smoothly. We would definitely contact MetroDC DJs for our future music needs and recommend them without reservation.

OMG was this guy Amazing! Jarrod and I got along from the start. He was the first DJ I spoke to and I pulled my wife aside and said we have to use him. We booked it right then and there. When something came up with the event date, he was flexible and able to change it to the new date the moment I called him. The website he uses is simply great. It was very self-explanatory and straightforward. He came out and had dinner with us twice to go over our wedding which was incredibly helpful and something I didn't expect to be offered. He was almost always available to talk, and got back to me as soon as he could when he wasn't available. The day of the event, he showed up on time which is something that is very important to me and got to work immediately. He mixed together a couple soundtracks for us which sounded great and were blended smoothly. His MC skills were certainly on point. He was fun, exciting, and interactive with everyone. We had many changes to the scheduled events during the wedding and he took them and ran with it. I can not give him enough praise. I am soooo glad that I choose him and I plan to call upon him in the future!

Jarrod our DJ was phenomenal! He had our 8th grade dance rocking! The kids and adults were dancing on the dance floor outside in the lobby and just about everywhere. He was professional, energetic, funny, flexible, and had had great equipment too. Loved him! Will hire again in a heartbeat. Our committee and kids are still talking about it today. Top notch!

Jarrod was a fantastic DJ! He was responsive and helpful leading up to the wedding and during the event he was calm, flexible and played GREAT mixes. Love, love, love the way we could create our playlist online - using the database was so easy. I was nervous about finding a DJ we could trust with our celebration and Jarrod was perfect.

My sister just got married, about six months after our wedding. While attending her wedding, I couldn't count the number of guests who came up to us and complemented us on our DJ, Jarrod from Metro DC DJs. We hired Jarred after reading reviews for Metro DC online, and we could not have been happier. By far, the most compliments we got from our wedding guests were for our DJ. He handled the music during the ceremony, the dinner, and the reception, as well as all of the lighting (which is a HUGE convenience and money saver).

Months before the wedding began, Jarrod met with us in order to get an idea of the kind of reception we were planning and what kind of wedding we wanted. He took note of the kind of music we wanted (and didn't want), how we wanted the wedding to be structured, and just about every other detail you could think of. A couple weeks before the wedding, you meet again to go over the more minute details of the wedding. Jarrod took careful note of exactly how we wanted everything to play out, and he even had great suggestions about topics other than DJing and music that we would not have thought of without him. For example, he suggested that my wife do a fake bouquet toss right before the real one so that the photographer could both get a picture of her throwing the flower and also get a picture of the ladies receiving the flowers.

Jarrod also did an incredible job introducing the wedding party, pre-luding the speeches, and explaining the Tea Ceremony (a Chinese wedding tradition) to our guests. He was witty and engaging, and many of our guests commented on his sense of humor.

Ultimately, I didn't know what to expect when I was interviewing DJs for our wedding, but I feel that we could not have made a better selection. We have a few friends who are in the process of planning their own DC weddings, and we have convinced them all to go with DC DJs.

Jarrod was great! This was my son's combination graduation and 18th birthday party. We knew Jarrod from his work announcing for Dematha Baseball. Our son wasn't sure he really wanted to have a DJ at the party because he doesn't usually dance but he loved the whole party. He even dances a few times!

Jarrod was great with the kids. He found music the kids liked...sometimes they just listened, sometimes they danced in groups or line danced, and Jarrod even got them into playing an adapted game of musical chairs toward the end of the party!

Thank you, Jarrod, for making Robby's party a lot of fun!

Jarrod was the best! The kids never left the dance floor. It was a magical night...and mostly because of the music and the feel of the whole event! I will for sure hire Jarrod for my next sons Bar Mitzvah!

We hired Metro DC DJs & Entertainment to DJ and Emcee our wedding. We worked specifically with Jarrod, and he was simply phenomenal. He was always easy to get in contact with, and receptive to our needs. We have very eclectic and widespread tastes in music, and he was able to find uncommon songs on very short notice. He was super flexible with our busy schedules and never said no.

Metro DC DJs has an online portal for clients to create playlists and do-not-play lists, which is followed very closely. Jarrod, being extensively experienced in the wedding business, was even kind enough to aid us in planning out the schedule and order of events for our reception, since we were planning it ourselves.

We opted to have him Emcee the event as well, and he did an absolutely wonderful job of engaging the crowd and inspiring dancing and even some impromptu events.

Jarrod is an incredibly dedicated and hardworking guy, and you can tell he just loves what he does. He loves weddings, sports events, and other functions. He loves meeting people and socializing. He's a fun guy. Truth be told, I'm honestly amazed by his work-ethic. He DJed and Emceed our wedding, on his feet the whole time, with medical walking boots on BOTH FEET! He had a broken ankle and a broken foot, but still made the time to meet with us several times leading up to the event, and never once made any complaints or excuses. He's extremely professional, but very laid-back and just fun to deal with.

Pricing was very reasonable for the quality of his work. We opted for the full package, minus the gobo, which included uplighting and night-club atmosphere type lighting as well. Are there less expensive options available? Yes. Are there more expensive options available? Yes. Do you get the absolute best value for your money with Metro DC DJs? ABSOLUTELY! They will absolutely be my first line for any future events that I need DJ/Entertainment. I would absolutely recommend that you give them a shot!

Jarrod is terrific. He shows up early, gets his setup done quickly and efficiently, and is highly professional. He knows all there is to know about music; what's trending, what gets people up and going, and how to properly pace an event. There's no one I'd recommend higher than Jarrod.

Jarrod did a great job! He is affordable, listens to your needs for the event, and is very reliable. We trusted him with our big day and he was there on time. He did a very good job of reading the atmosphere to juggle all the songs we love and wanted to hear.

Jarrod was perfect! He met with us and made sure we were all on the same page. Throughout the night he made sure we knew when things were taking place and what our guests were requesting. He definitely provided some sanity to me, the bride which was much appreciated. We loved the interaction with our guests as well, just as we asked!

Jarrod was the PERFECT choice for our company cocktail party/bbq. He knew how to feel out the crowed and somehow each song he played was a hit for everyone. Multiple people came up to me during the event and complimented the music choices! Jarrod was an AMAZING dj. There was a power outage for a few seconds because of the storm, but he kept the audience engaged and humored when the power came back on by playing hilarious songs.. "When the lights go out." I am so happy Jarrod was able to play for our wedding and make it such a memorable day! He came early and also played at the ceremony and he coordinated with our wedding singer. It was such a fantastic day and I can't say enough great things about Jarrod's expertise, professionalism and eagerness to please the bride :)

Jarrod and Metro DC DJs was by far one of the best vendor choices we made for our wedding. Jarrod took the time to get to know us and what our musical styles were and custom fit those to our wedding. He even went above and beyond with a custom baseball themed bridal party intro. We couldn't have asked for better services throughout the entire evening! Jarrod was the DJ at our daughter's wedding and did a fantastic job! He kept the dance floor packed all night playing all the songs that my daughter and her husband had planned with him. His sound system and lights are top quality. I would highly recommend him for any event that you may need a DJ or Emcee.

I have worked with Jarrod Wronski from DC DJ's on the charity event Relay For Life for several years, starting in 2009. He makes a huge difference in the quality of the event. He plays great music, makes announcements, and runs games. Jarrod brings an awesome announcing voice, energy and experience to keep the event running smoothly for more than 12 hours straight! If anything does go wrong, he is a calming presence who will help you solve the problems. He is in tune with the audience and will ad lib and change gears as necessary to keep the people engaged. If I know that Jarrod is MCing our event, I relax and know that everything will terrific.

I have a unique use for Jarrod of Metro DC DJ's. Each November, I host a very large lacrosse tournament (3000+ kids) that has been in existence for over 12 years. The tournament grew to capacity in about its 5th year. About 8 years in, we were trying different things to "spice it up" a bit. In case you don't know, big events tend to "lull" during the middle and it drags on at some point. After seeing Jarrod in action at several major high school sporting events, we discussed the possibility of him working our event. This concept was new to him and to us but after a 4 year run with Jarrod, our event has gotten even better.

What Jarrod has done is help fill in the "gaps" that occur during the day. He plays music in between games, does sponsor "shoutouts", handles door prizes, runs dance contests and other things that keep the crowd interested. This is a 50 acre complex with 18 fields and he manages to make it seems like we are all together a lot closer. He also handles all of the timing for the event running a master scoreboard. This CANNOT get screwed up and it never does.

Simply put, Jarrod brought a "breath of fresh air" to our long-standing event. Each year we ask for feedback to improve and he is mentioned every year as a big positive.

I understand that the event DJ world is a competitive business. If you are looking for someone that TRULY cares about his work and not just the paycheck, I suggest you hire him so he can breathe life into your event!! I get a chance to do mine over again every year, do you?? Make the right choice the first time!

Metro DC DJs provided the sound and av equipment for one of our company's biggest events of the season. We will definitely use Metro DC DJs again, as they were able to quickly adapt and help out when we changed our program on the fly. They were also prepared with music to play before the seated program began, which we didn't ask for, and it ended up really contributing to the atmosphere and the start of the program.

Jarrod was amazing! He really kept our wedding guests moving on the dance floor! We had a smaller wedding and were concerned that the dance floor would be empty and we would have trouble getting our older crowd up and moving; we had no such problem! DJ Jarrod was nothing short of fantastic while working with us! He drove out of his way to meet us and was very flexible given his already busy schedule. He was very thorough and detailed in explaining how things would go and the site he provided us to help him out better was very useful and made things much easier on both of us as far as picking music/songs for different points of the evening. Our guests had a great time, loved the music, and we all greatly appreciated his enthusiasm and entertainment throughout our reception. We could not have been happier with the experience and working with Jarrod and would most definitely recommend him for any event!

I could not have imagined having a better DJ at my wedding. From the time we decided to pick Jarrod as the DJ I was completely at ease. He kept in contact with us during the whole planning process, and the website was so easy to use to help with planning the event. You can tell he loves what he does because he is so amazing at it. I was so comfortable on my wedding day because I knew Jarrod had everything under control. Everything was timed perfectly and everyone had so much fun. All of my guests commented on what a great job he did!

Metro DC DJs & Entertainment is is a outstanding DJ company under Jarrod. Jarrod not only played current music, but also gauged the crowed quite well to play an eclectic mix of music that kept up the energy of the reception. He has a great personality and keeps the party going, he puts the cares and concerns of the customer as priority #1.

Jarrod worked our wedding and we still have people talking about his work two weeks after the fact. He is very outgoing, flexible and respectful to the wants and needs of the customer. Look nowhere else, he's the best!

Jarrod was excellent. He spent time with us prior to the event to make sure we had everything ready for our big day. On that day, he was excellent about keeping everyone moving and making sure we didn't miss anything even though we were getting pulled in all directions (photos, guests, etc).

Jarrod IS Gonzaga Hockey.. He has announced every home game at Fort Dupont Ice Arena for 10 years! Every Gonzaga family and fan will say, it isn't a Gonzaga Hockey game at the 'Fort without Jarrod! He comes prepared every game with fun and updated playlists, roster lists, and memorized statistics updated on every player and team we play. His '3 STARS of the game' make the players feel like rock stars! He single handedly is transforming high school hockey in the DMV.. now everyone wants him to announce their games.

I have worked with Jarrod many times on many events and without question, he is the best in the business.

He is always well prepared but also flexible and adaptable when things change, as they invariably do.

I will use him again and again and again and would recommend him to anybody looking for a DJ, either for an event or a function.

Jarrod at Metro DC DJs is GREAT!!! We had good, fun planning sessions to go over all of the details of our music - nothing was forgotten. The day of the wedding, we couldn't have had better music and fun from Jarrod! The guests at the reception danced all night and told us at the end of the night "that was the best music at a wedding!". We also used some of his uplighting to accent our bar area - looked great!

Jarrod was the announcer for my husband's hockey games when he we younger. When we set the date for the wedding, he knew who to call to be our DJ. He did a wonderful job for both our ceremony and reception. I would recommend Metro DC DJs to anyone.

DJ was awesome! Had a great form developed to help us plan what songs we needed; followed the play & do not play lists (even though groomsmen tried to have do not play songs played); was extremely easy to get in touch with. Extensive song list, and was told if they didn't have it, would gladly find it. We used Metro DC DJs for ceremony & reception music, as well as uplighting (which was absolutely beautiful - really added to the room without making it look like a carnival). DJ was great MC, did well with a mixed crowd of kids, adults, and older crowd. Would highly recommend to anyone else. With Metro DC DJs, this was the one piece of our wedding we truly didn't have to worry about.

Jarrod did a fabulous job at our wedding reception. Everyone there enjoyed the music and there was a little bit of something for everyone (especially my 3 year-old ring bearer who pretty much danced the entire night). He played good dancing music that really fit my style (which was probably challenging since I couldn't really describe my style) and snuck in a number of the more eclectic pieces that my husband (or I) had requested.

He was very flexible about all our music choices (we have some super eclectic tastes in music) and accommodated all the little specifics that we wanted. He even helped us with the timeline required by the reception venue. He has a really easygoing personality that helped keep the days leading up to our wedding as stress-free as possible.

I felt like he really fit in with both our families and didn't in any way overwhelm our party with his personality (like some DJs will do). He even wore a tie that matched our wedding colors - it makes me smile when I look at the pictures.

Jarrod has providied DJ and sports announcing services for our family's events for quite some time now, and I can definitely say that he is the best of the best! His package included uplighting and a personalized monogrammed light for the wall of our reception room, both of which were absolutely beautiful. He was great to work with and personalized our playlist according to our musical tastes. And all his announcements (cake cutting, first dance, etc.) were timed out perfectly. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience. Thanks Jarrod for helping to make our special day a success!

Jarrod was the best!!! A real pro! He really paid attention to the details and ensured that everything went off without a hitch! He even met with us and the day of coordinator at the venue to ensure everything ran smoothly! The day of the wedding Jarrod really exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been happier! My wife and I were very lucky to find Jarrod of Metro DC DJs. Jarrod is down to earth, easy to talk to, has plenty of ideas, and is great to work with.

We were looking for a DJ that could emcee certain parts and Jarrod is definitely able to do that. We were able to meet with him a few times before our reception to go over what we were looking for, but also to get feedback from him on how some ideas might work. He was very easy to work with on this level and the owner of the restaurant where we had the reception even mentioned that she liked him a lot and he was great to work with.

Jarrod has done a number of different weddings so he has a good idea of the flow of the reception and is able to make small changes or additions easily on the fly. He also has a good idea on how to use the space available to him. Our space was a little more cramped and we were still able to turn it into a great dance floor. He was able to accomodate us with an extra speaker so people could make speeches in a different part of the restaurant as well.

The only complaint we could find with Jarrod is that my wife mentioned there were a few songs we wanted played that were not. That said, almost everyone was dancing and having a great time. It seemed like he knew the crowd well, though, and he was able to mix a few songs for us. Jarrod is a pretty busy guy though, so I'd say try to get ideas like that to him as much in advance as possible.

All in all, Jarrod did a great job and helped our reception move long smoothly. He is a great emcee and has a expansive music collection and a great knowledge of music. And, also very important - he is a great value in this area. I would absolutely recommend him.

Jarrod is amazing! He dedicates himself to his work and to making sure the bride and groom get what they want. He is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and affordable. His attention to detail is only surpassed by his professionalism. He made me feel so comfortable and he listened to everything I had to say. Jarrod's ability and talent are truly amazing. We had an outdoor wedding, Jarrod had all the equipment to include speakers for both the dance area and wedding ceremony. His information sheets helped us plan and prepare for the event and he kept us on track. We had neighbors listen to the music and comment to us the next day about how great the music was. Would deff recommend to ALL!!!

Jarrod is the absolute BEST! I would give him 10 stars! He is a professional, and manages to keep the reception (or party) going on schedule. He can also handle last minute changes with no problem! I highly recommend Jarrod for any event! Not only were his services affordable, but he took it upon himself to make our wedding reception a blast! He was able to meet with us several times before the wedding to lay out plans for lighting the hall and extensively go over the music. Jarrod is professional and personal and over all the best DJ you could possibly go with!

Jarrod was very responsive and professional DJ. He was an excellent MC! We found him a few days before the wedding and he was extremely helpful. He helped us with the song selection process and provided on-site consultation. Jarrod also worked well with our wedding coordinator who plans to hire him for future events. He was played any song requests from our guests. We appreciate that he was accommodating by playing any songs that we requested, including Vietnamese, French, and Spanish music. His fees are also reasonable.

I would recommend Metro DC Dj's to anyone and everyone! I saw Jarrod emcee a hockey game about 3 years ago (well before I was engaged) and said he will be the Dj at our wedding! He did an amazing job! We are both hockey fanatics and Jarrod did a great job sneaking in clips from our favorites teams at just the perfect times without making it an over the top. It was exactly what we wanted. A few months later we are still getting comments from our friends and family that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Metro DC Dj's was a HUGE part of that! People were up and dancing before dinner was even served! Thanks Jarrod for truly making our wedding the best night of our lives!

Metro DC DJ's and Entertainment did an awesome job at our outdoor, elementary school event. Jarrod did an excellent job of engaging the elementary school students in dancing, playing musical games, and having fun. He set a great tone for our event. I would highly recommend this DJ.

We were very pleased with Jarrod's services! He provided everything from DJ services, emceeing, lighting and sound for our wedding. Since Jarrod had not been in our venue before he asked for a walk-through which made us very comfortable with his professionalism and willingness to be thorough and prepared.

Jarrod was great about remembering the little details of what point to start a song on, when to hit play, and how we wanted our emcee services. We requested he not be "in your face" and speaking often which he did a great job of doing. We also needed him to ask questions for our newlywed game which went great. Jarrod has a strong, booming voice which is perfect for his profession and services--the intros were fabulous. Our siblings are so impressed they are looking into hiring him as well. I was also very pleased that Jarrod honored our play/do not play lists. When guests requested something from the "do not play" list (repeatedly) he honored our wishes and only played it when I caved to my guests and gave the ok--he definitely puts the bride and groom fist.

The lighting that came with our package makes Jarrod a wonderful value. We are very happy with the price we paid and what we got for it. The uplighting was beautiful, professional, and discreet. There were no cords around the guest areas and the lights were bright and went up high (our venue had really tall ceilings). We also purchased a gobo which guests loved and was a beautiful final touch to the space.
I only took off a slight bit from the overall score based on some emails that never reached Jarrod due to email errors on his end. However, he came to our home to go over everything and ensure we were comfortable with all final details for the wedding once the error of the missed emails was caught.

Thank you for being a great DJ, Jarrod. We will be sure to recommend you!

Our DJ was great! He was open and willing to hear our ideas and personalize the ceremony and reception to us! Everyone was up and dancing and never a lull in entertainment! He kept everything going nicely.

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. We received a lot of compliments on him from many guests. He definitely kept the party going, in fact he was booed when announced it was the last song of the night. Jarrod is super easy to work with - flexible and listens to what the couple wants. He met with us multiple times before the wedding to go over song lists and every little detail. He was willing to pitch in with many aspects of the reception. We would definitely recommend Jarrod - a professional without the price tag of those big DJ companies.

Jarrod Wronski with Metro DC DJ's was absolutely the "good time" we had hoped to find at our reception of our wedding. He was able to do the music for our ceremony as well. The pre-planning was a piece of cake once we got the hiccups out of our communication errors with emails, but we were able to chat in only two meetings and a few other emails and texts here and there to sort out all the details. He was AMAZING! Always in tune to stay on track with the order of events, and a fantastic announcer with the messages we asked him to announce and all the fun with the wedding party announcements. He is defintely a crowd pleaser, professional, while still having a good time! You truly know he enjoys his profession! Thank you Jarrod for the time you spent with us! Jarrod Wronski was a great DJ! He played everything we wanted, and nothing we didn't. He showed up early to ensure he was set up, he was right on cue with the special songs (during ceremony, first dance, etc.) and of course, he has experience doing announcing so when he announced us, it sounded fantastic! He was also cheerful, smiling, and interacted with the wedding guests in a fun/professional way, instead of just sitting behind a computer clicking on songs. I highly reccomend Jarrod and Metro DC DJs for any events you may have.

If you are in the market for a DJ, DO NOT USE Metro DC DJ’s ! I hired them for my wedding and gave them a $500 deposit. Throughout the course of our dealings, my contact there, Jarrod Wronski, went MIA not once but twice for lengthy periods of time. The first time, he didn’t respond to multiple emails for 30 days. When I finally heard from him, I told him that just wasn’t acceptable and he assured me it wouldn’t happen again. It happened again 10 days before our wedding and I fired him. Now he won’t refund our deposit because “we canceled 10 days before our wedding and his cancelation policy says we have to cancel 14 days or more prior to the event in order to get a refund.” Wait, what?? You weren’t responding to me 14 days prior to our event … and had you been, I wouldn’t have fired you!
So I explained to him that word of mouth can be both good and bad for business depending on the reviews you get, and I assured him that my negative reviews of his service on Social Media will far exceed our $500 deposit in lost business for him.

Thank goodness we found and hired John Howard with A2Z Music Factory. John and his team went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect with added services to enhance our experience. Added services that Jarrod doesn't even offer. Overall it was a Win! Win! We didn't use Jarrod and we had the pleasure of John's team by our side!
