We absolutely loved our flowers for my daughter's April wedding in Chapel Hill. Anna brought our vision to life. She created an amazing arch and the flowers were one of the most talked about aspects of the wedding. We received so many compliments on the day of and after when pictures were posted. Anna and Brian were amazing to work with. I highly recommend them for any event where you want floral arrangements. -

Anna with Meristem was amazing to say the least! From the very beginning, she took everything I said into account and offered her creative expertise in the planning process! She was so sweet and respectful! She understood everything I described and exceeded all of my expectations. From my stunning bouquet, to my plush ceremony arch and floral arrangements, to my reception florals with hanging installations, everything was absolutely perfect. I felt as though my wedding day was out of a fairytale! Anna and her crew are so talented and will make your wedding day dreams come true! We could not have dreamed of anything more! I will recommend Anna and her crew without hesitation to anyone wanting florals on their wedding day!! -

Working with Anna was such an easy experience. You have to put a lot of faith in a florist to give you what you dream of for your wedding. She created a pinterest board of what she was envisioning and I loved all that she included and it made me so excited to see the final result. Everything she put together was beautiful and smelled absolutely amazing. I don't think I have ever been to a wedding with flowers that smelled so good. They created a stunning hanging floral and greenery chandelier that centered over the dance floor and our sweetheart table perfectly. The ceremony space took my breath away when I was walking down the aisle and I saw everything I wanted and more. I cannot recommend Meristem Florals enough if you want an amazing floral experience for your dream wedding. -

Meristem floral did an amazing job for our wedding last weekend. ALL of our guests (200+!) told us they had never seen such gorgeous flowers before. There were hanging lanterns, gorgeous bouquets, a beautiful floral design around our cake, and so much more. It contributed to our wedding day being the best day of our lives! Oh my… where to even start. Anna is gifted in her vision and has the ability to hone in on what you’re asking for, deliver it, and then some. The amount of detail that went into our wedding was so intricate, it took us getting our wedding photos back to truly appreciate every floral display Anna and Brian created. We have had people talking about our florals since our wedding day and I’m sure, for quite some time to come. If you’re gonna splurge, do it here, and spend it with them. This is a space transformer. -

If you want to make your wedding dreams come true, hire Meristem Florals. They transformed our daughter and son-in-law's venue into a magical space that our guests can not stop raving about. Anna was professional, easy to work with and had ideas that made the difference between lovely and WOW, WOW, WOW! The flowers were top quality and fresh. I cannot say enough about this vendor. Anna & Brian of Meristem truly created magic for my wedding day! I can not recommend them enough. They went above and beyond what I could have imagined! Working with them was a breeze, very responsive and easy to communicate with. We rescheduled twice and they were fair and accommodating both times. At our rehearsal I noticed the arbor at my venue was a little crooked - on the day of the wedding I saw Brian out there early in the morning fixing the arbor and making sure it looked flawless by the time they were done! On the day of the wedding I was so incredibly happy and overwhelmed with emotion when Anna showed me my bouquet, some of the surprise little extra touches she did for me, and when I saw the arbor of my dreams! She truly has a gift for this - not just the flowers, but the table settings/candles/vases/etc. - she just really has an eye for creating beautiful things!! Can't recommend them enough! -

Stunning work!
Anna and Brian did an absolutely beautiful job. All of our florals were absolutely stunning. Anna also really helped me to establish my vision for the wedding and offered wonderful recommendations for how to augment our space. I was completely over the moon with the end result. I recommend Meristem enough! -

What can we say about Meristem other than WOW! Throughout our intimate ceremony last year and our wedding celebration reception this year, Anna and Brian have gone above and beyond to create some flower magic, with multiple extra surprises on each day. Their arrangements are simply stunning and they truly produce memorable moments through flowers for each couple. Anyone would be lucky to have Meristem as their florist! -

I cannot possibly express how wonderful it was to work with Anna, the co-owner and lead designer of Meristem! Not only was she patient and kind in all of our meetings, but she was a true artist when it came to picking the colors and buds for the ceremony and reception flowers for my wedding. I added a major arbor only a few weeks before my wedding—a major ask at that point in the timeline—but it was SO worth it! To put it simply, the arbor was EPIC! The pictures posted do not give it justice. If you want someone you can trust completely with design and input, Meristem is a no-brainer! Anna will make your beautiful ideas into pure art! -

Meristem was the first vendor I booked after choosing my venue. I knew before I was even engaged that I wanted to work with Anna. I ended up adding on design services in addition to floral services and am so glad that I did. Meristem does phenomenal work with their floral arrangements, arbors, hanging installations, bouquets, and more - which is evident through photos. However, Anna also shines when working on the design aspect of a wedding. She was instrumental in helping me with layouts, vendor meetings, choosing table settings, giving her opinion on colors and how to tie everything together. She is so easy to work with, responsive, and gives her input while also respecting your wishes. I would highly recommend using Meristem for wedding or other event design floral needs! -

Anna was the very first vendor with whom I met. She had worked with my venue, Merrimon-Wynne many times, so she had a lot of great ideas and suggestions. I followed her on Instagram, so I was familiar with her work and knew that she always did a wonderful job, but she went above and beyond my expectations. She and her husband, Brian make such a great team! There is no other way to describe their work, other than pure magic. They created a beautiful floral arch in front of which my husband and I were married. They also created a stunning floral chandelier with votives, which my guests absolutely loved. And they added flowers to my wedding cake which made it even more beautiful. My bouquet along with my bridesmaids' bouquets were so gorgeous. Every element of everything that they designed was pure perfection. Thank you again, Anna & Brian!!

Diane Sent on 07/01/2018Anna truly has a gift - the flowers and greenery for our daughter's wedding in May were simply stunning. Anna created a chandelier wreath over the ceremony site (later to become the dance floor) that had tealights hanging from it --- our guests talked about it all evening. The arrangements on the dinner tables were fabulous and the arbor she created for the ceremony was gorgeous. It was a pleasure working with Anna - she helped us with the bride's "vision" and made it happen within our budget. We couldn't be more pleased and we highly recommend Meristem Floral!

From the first meeting Anna made it an easy decision for us. I actually booked her without even meeting her because of all the amazing things I've heard about her (from multiple people and other vendors) and I didn't want to miss the chance to work with her. She made me feel like a princess more than once. She created two beautiful flower crowns, one for my bridal shower and one for my bridal portrait session. My bridal portrait bouquet was absolutely breathtaking and HUGE. She created the most beautiful cascading bouquet. Anna has a special touch and anything she works on is magic. Our day of florals were just as stunning. Full, lush, and gorgeous. When my husband and I walked into our reception space we had to take a moment to take it all in, we were completely blown away. It was a fairytale. Peonies, garden roses, and hydrangeas galore. The candlelight and decor were perfection. I am so happy Meristem Floral was our florist for our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend Anna and her team to any bride and groom I meet. So look no further, Anna is your gal! Thank you Anna! <3 -

Shelley Sent on 08/21/2015I got married this past July at the Merrimon-Wynne in Raleigh, NC. Anna Passarelli, owner of Simply Elegant Floral Designs, was recommended to me by them. I first saw her work at a Merrimon-Wynne bridal events and absolutely fell in love with the pieces she brought. Honestly, after meeting with her I loved her even more. I had met with other florists and I always left feeling a bit lost. I know absolutely nothing about flowers, and so whenever a florist asked me what I wanted, I would show photos and that would be that. When I met with Anna, like the others, I showed her photos. However, unlike the others, she immediately started brainstorming ideas and coming up with flowers that were in-season and showed me ideas of her vision. You can tell from talking with her that she loves what she does, which makes all the different in the end product. Not only is she a floral visionary, but she is professional, timely and reasonably priced. When the day of the wedding came, I was absolutely stunned by how BEAUTIFUL all of the floral arrangements were. She truly has a gift, and I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a florist who they can trust 100%. -

I don't know much about flowers at all, but she was able to talk to me and get an idea of what I was looking for and what she could do with my budget. She even was able to order my floating candles for my centerpieces at vendor cost.
The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and I have received so many compliments on them since the wedding! She is so creative with her arrangements! I also follow her on Instagram to see the amazing work she does. :)
Anna is such a professional, talented, genuine person and I highly recommend working with her for your wedding or special event!
