We found Mercy and the Heartbeats from attending the wedding of a friend. I knew when I saw them that if I had my own celebration I would need them to perform so when we began planning our own wedding reception my very first task was to reach out to the band in hopes they had not yet booked our date, to our luck, they were able to perform at our reception. From our first virtual meeting I felt at ease and that we were in good hands. The experience and professionalism Kyle and Jacque have was above any expectation I could have had. They helped us with song lists, provided feedback on how the day would look, learned three special requests, and provided MC services. The energy they bring to the dance floor is unlike anything I’ve seen and the compliments continue to roll in a month after our celebration. I would hands down recommend Mercy and the Heartbeats to anyone looking for a successful, fun, energetic and amazing party. We can’t recommend Mercy & The Heartbeats enough. From start to finish, they were professional, fun, and full of energy. They even helped us pull off a flash mob surprise for our guests and bride, which was a huge hit!
They played our first dance song live, and their setlist was perfect, current and full of energy. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about them.
Huge thanks to Kyle, Jaque, and the band for making our wedding so memorable. If you want a band that delivers, Mercy & The Heartbeats is the way to go. -

Mercy & The Heartbeats played at our wedding and they were AMAZING!!! They handled all of the sound and music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches etc. which worked perfectly. The band was so good!! Our dance floor was crowded and everyone was pumped the whole time - so much energy! They played all the songs we requested and picked great other songs!! They learned a few songs that we requested also. Super cool and easy to work with! They were one of our favorite parts of our wedding and I would 1000% recommend!! -

Mercy & the Heartbeats played our wedding a week ago, and it was the best decision we made for the wedding! They not only know how to make a party fun, but they are INCREDIBLE performers and musicians. Seeing live music is a big part of our relationship, so the band was a big wedding priority for us and our standards are relatively high. I had watched many videos of Mercy & the Heartbeats, so my expectations were high, and they still exceeded them! I really don’t think you can find a better vocalist than Jaque- she really nails every note of every song. Our venue (the Cal Academy of Sciences) had more restrictions than the average venue, and they rolled with everything without issue. Their song catalogue is fun and very tasteful, and they did excellent covers of our first dances and the songs we picked for the ceremony. They are true professionals- communicative, friendly, and pricing was straightforward. The cherry on top for me is that they are a female-fronted and multiracial band. I can’t recommend Mercy & the Heartbeats enough! Thank y’all for making our wedding so much fun!! -

We got SO many compliments from all our guests about our band.
They are an amazing band and super easy to work with! We were so excited to have them at our wedding - they were one of the first vendors we booked! Mercy & the Heartbeats even learned a song just for us!
Would book them again in a heartbeat (pun intended?) -

We hired Mercy & the Heartbeats to perform at our wedding at Cornerstone, Sonoma and the rocked it! Kyle is a great MC for all non band/dancing related activities. They are both such amazing and talented performers that made our event seriously special. We had multiple guests call out how much they enjoyed the band. 10/10 recommend Mercy & the Heartbeats for your event! -

Apologies for the delayed review, but we need to express our immense gratitude for the incredible wedding band that played at our wedding a year ago. This band is so good that we are on our way to our friend’s wedding, who hired them because of their performance at ours.
They were the most fun and best band ever, with an exceptional ability to read the crowd and a fantastic dynamic. They played songs we loved and we didn't want them to stop. If you're looking for an unforgettable wedding band, look no further. We would recommend them to anyone. -

World's best wedding band
My wife and I started planning our wedding back in March 2020 and soon into the process, found Kyle and Jacque and the rest of the team of Mercy and the Heartbeats -- we couldn't have been luckier.
They were incredibly supportive through all phases of our wedding planning and execution. We didn't use a wedding planner, so sorting out all the details of the day fell to us. Fortunately, Kyle and Jacque are consummate professionals that communicated quickly, clearly, thoroughly, and kindly We changed our date three times and they were incredibly accommodating and patient with us each time. We also had a few special requests (MCing, special dances, adding a certain instrument, etc.) and they accommodated everything without hesitation.
But most importantly, they absolutely brought it the night of our wedding. From the seamless MC experience during the ceremony to the unbelievably good live show, they rocked our wedding from start to finish. The sound quality was incredibly good, even in the middle of a forest, and they are genuinely gifted musicians with a passion for entertaining. We've had multiple guests ask us to put them in touch with the band to see if they're free for upcoming wedding dates. Truly truly, they were exceptional and could not have done a better job at our wedding. People danced all night and had the best time.
We feel so lucky to have found Kyle, Jacque, and the rest of the team. If you're planning a wedding and are able to get Mercy & The Heartbeats to come play for you, do it. You will not regret your choice. -

Best wedding band of all time
Where do I begin!? From the easy and consistent communication before the event, Mercy & team made it clear they were here and focused on what we as a couple wanted out of our wedding celebration... We wanted a formal wedding that didn't at all feel stuffy, a fancy party that was more than anything FUN. Boy, did they deliver!!! From asking us to choose from their impressive closet of performance costumes to match the vibe of our party, to beautifully learning new songs for our wedding processional (which made the ceremony SO special and personal), to delivering the best dance party our friends and family had ever seen... they were such a joy to work with. I cannot count how many people (close friends, distant relatives, elderly grandparents hard of hearing..) have called us after the event to rave about how incredible our band was, the best they've ever seen. We have 3 guests who have already inquired and booked Mercy & The Heartbeats for their future families weddings... they were that good! They kept the party going all night long, and although we would like to pride ourselves on having a fantastic, high energy group of people in attendance, Mercy and Heartbeats gave the party something so special that can only be described as EPIC. The dance floor was packed the entire night and they happily delivered TWO encores when party went wild after their first one. If you are hesitating on band vs dj, or on choosing a band in general... RUN don't walk to Mercy & the Heartbeats! -

This should be the first band recommended for any wedding. From the very start, Mercy & the Heartbeats were incredibly accommodating and stressed that this day was about us. They helped us find other resources, provided us with sound for our ceremony and reception, and of course- they got everyone to dance! From 6 year olds to 80 year olds, everyone was on the dance floor and they made the party last! While we didn't think our families would enjoy live music as much as us, the common response was that Mercy and the Heartbeats were the best band they've seen in a long time. -

We had the good fortune to experience Mercy and the Heartbeats at our friends' wedding while we were planning for ours. We immediately booked them for our wedding after that experience! Kyle and Jaque were great to work with, providing ideas for our wedding day and also accommodating our preferences. Mercy and the Heartbeats performed our live ceremony music, did all our ceremony sound, played our cocktail music, and had the full band for our reception. Their sound crew was also amazing, making sure everything worked perfectly for our officiant and setting up the reception area. Our guests absolutely LOVED them, just like we did! I think we had every single person on the dance floor for the full duration of their set! We look forward to hiring them for more parties in the future! -

Best band ever
Book them now. You won't regret it. From initial calls, to planning, and the wedding itself, Mercy & The Heartbeats was a dream to work with and NAILED IT. I found them based on an incredible recommendation from a friend and they absolutely lived up to their reputation. I have never been to another wedding where the dance floor was FULL for hours on-end, but I am sure glad it was mine. They could read the room, keep the energy moving, seamlessly integrate breaks and other wedding 'moments', they play a variety for all age groups and kindly accommodated our specific song requests. Moreover, they are all talented beyond belief. We were all blown away by the breadth of music played that sounded better than the albums.
I am a type-A personality and was very involved in the planning of our wedding, and the band was one of the best vendors we booked. I didn't have to give it a second thought day-of as Kyle was so insightful, responsive and professional in creating a plan prior-to. Mercy & The Heartbeats is still the talk of our guests as being the best wedding band they've ever seen. All of my mother-in-law's friends are legitimately trying to come up with party ideas to have them back.
Anyway-- thank you to the whole band for quite literally making our wedding as magical as it was. You set the tone for the evening and man, you delivered beyond my wildest expectations and for that I will forever be grateful!! -

If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would, could not have been more thrilled with Mercy & The Heartbeats. Most important thing a wedding band can do is play great live music, and the music was BAR NONE - all age groups were on the dance floor for the entirety of their 2+ hour set, spanning pop and dance music across generations from Fleetwood Mac to Bruno Mars. Our guests raved after that they "felt like they were at a concert", and that they delivered the "best dance party, wedding or not". The band did a fabulous job playing the dance party (and coordinating A/V for our ceremony / emceeing our reception), but they were just as flawless in all the leadup to our weekend. Through booking the band, finalizing the set list and coordinating with the venue, they were consummate professionals who answered every question we had and took care of all the small details so we could truly enjoy their performance as guests at our own wedding. Planning a wedding is hard, but signing Mercy & The Heartbeats is literally the easiest (and most fun) decision you will make. Thanks Jaque, Kyle and the whole band for making our wedding so special. -

WOW! Hiring Mercy and The Heartbeats was seriously the BEST decision we made for our wedding. Everyone, and I seriously mean everyone, at our wedding came up to us and were raving about this band, the dance floor wasn’t empty for even a second. We had Mercy and The Heartbeats perform our first dance song (Simply The Best), and asked them to make a special version that was more slowed down than the original song. They sent us a clip of their version beforehand to make sure we liked how they adjusted the tempo, which we so appreciated! The whole band was so talented. An extra special shout out to Kyle who was also an incredible MC. Kyle read the personalized reception intros for our wedding party, which he executed perfectly. He also ran “The Shoe Game” at our reception with such charisma and had the whole crowd, including us, laughing. We will forever remember them as one of the best parts of our wedding day. -

We enjoy all types of music -- pop, country, rock, alternative, dance, everything! -- and they crushed it all. So much energy and so much fun; they kept the dance floor packed all night long and we LOVED them! -

We can't emphasize enough: BOOK. THIS. BAND. I don't even know where to start with this review because everything was above and beyond. From the delicate, beautiful guitar music during the processional to their incredible cover of our first dance song (Hard to Concentrate) to the most high-energy '80s and '90s hits that drew everyone to the dance floor and had everyone screaming along - they were not only excellent at what they do, but brought such a great vibe and positive energy! Multiple friends and family members said that the last 3 hours of our wedding felt more like a concert in the best way possible. We are eagerly keeping an eye on outdoor events they're playing and will drive for hours to see them again! -

Wow, just WOW!!! We loved having Kyle and Jacque and the rest of the band perform at our wedding. Everyone was commenting on how incredibly talented they were. Leading up to the big day, Kyle was super responsive, with lots of useful information and great tips on how to make for a great event and timeline. They were flexible with their set up time and got ready without any problems. Once they started playing their set, we never wanted to leave the dance floor! They’ve got such a great vibe with loads of positive energy and super fun outfits that totally rocked with our venue’s ambiance. We’re so grateful to have discovered this band and would recommend them for any type of event. -

I cannot express enough how instrumental Kyle, Jacque, and the rest of Mercy and the Heartbeats were to making my bay area wedding the best night of our (and our guests') lives. We can't recommend them more highly!!
Leading up to the wedding, friends kept asking what I was most excited for about our wedding, and I'd always reply "the band". I knew they were something special when we went to their showcase, but even with those incredibly high expectations, my partner and I were BLOWN AWAY by the energy, playlist, personality, and fun that Mercy & co injected into our reception. So many guests told me they have never seen a dance floor that packed at a wedding before -- people were dancing on the grass next to the dance floor because there wasn't enough room. I'm serious when I say this lasted the ENTIRE 3 hours they played. Some guests didn't even eat dinner because they wanted to dance instead. So. many. people came up to me that night and in the days after to tell me how they usually don't dance at weddings, or usually don't like wedding bands, and yet they couldn't stop dancing at ours because the band was so good.
Not only was the wedding itself amazing, Mercy & co couldn't have been easier to work with leading up to the wedding. Their showcase was a blast and sealed the deal for us booking them since we couldn't help but dance while they played. Once we booked, they checked in regularly. They asked for broad song preferences and then based on my response, created an unreal 90's setlist that perfectly reflected the vibe I was going for. They controlled the music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, and served as emcees. They were the perfect, non-cheesy, professional-but-fun hosts for the night. What I love most of all is that they're all amazing musicians and fun people individually, not just a run-of-the-mill wedding band who goes through the motions.
I had high standards for my wedding band and it was truly the only thing I really cared about during the planning process. Again, even with sky-high expectations, I couldn't imagine how much Mercy & the Heartbeats would blow them out of the water. THANK YOU for making our wedding the best dance party I've ever been to! -

Concert-quality music and performance for your wedding!
Mercy & the Heartbeats were the first vendor we booked for our wedding after finding our venue, and we're so glad we did!! We'd heard they were the best, and they delivered. Not only are we so happy with how Kyle and Jaque worked with us to make our music vision come to life, from ceremony to dance party, but we have also received endless comments from our guests about how amazing the band was. This team of musicians is the real deal! When our wedding ended, it was like we'd just attended an unforgettable concert where all our favorite songs were played briliantly with our closest friends and family dancing alongside us. Could not recommend enough!! -
