Before we chose Tammy and Mark to be our wedding photographers, we searched high and low and met or emailed with a number of photographers. Some wanted us to hire them after responding to some general questions. Others didn't even bother speaking to us further after I shared with them our wedding picture budget. Our wedding pictures were obviously a top priority, so extensive research was necessary. I immediately fell in love with Tammy and Mark's style--creative and effortless. They were both so receptive, listened to what we wanted, and made sure to accommodate our "must haves." They never pushed on us a particular package, and it was clear to me that they truly cared about making our day a special one. From our first meeting to the day we received our beautiful wedding album, Tammy and Mark made us feel comfortable and captured the perfect moments that mattered. They are amazing, and you won't be sorry if you hire them!

Tammy & Mark were fantastic! We had a small wedding (only 12 guests), so it was really important that we found photographers who could fit in with friends and family. They listened to what was important to us and made sure that we got the shots we were looking for. Thank you, Tammy & Mark!

My husband and I were hesitant on splurging on photographers for our wedding, but friends and family encouraged us to so that we could relive the day. I'm so glad we did and I could not have asked for a better result. The day was captured as I had hoped. As a new bride, I had no idea where to begin, but Tammy and Mark helped a great deal with all of our questions. They were amazing to work with. We have gotten nothing but compliments from all of our friends and family.

Tammy and Mark are absolutely phenomenal. For my husband and myself, our photographers were the most important thing to our wedding - we were spending so much money on this day that we definitely wanted amazing pictures to remember them by. They were patient, understanding, and accommodating to our crazy personalities, lack of creativity, and particular needs. After the initial inquiry, we were not able to retain them because of constricted finances. I followed up with them two months later, after rearranging the budget, and was so enthralled that Tammy and Mark would be our wedding photographers.

They perfectly captured our personalities at our engagement shoot - that was really the only wish we had. They are so creative, and set up amazing, beautiful shots with such stylish flair. And, working with them is a blast. They are natural in guiding you; they're kind, considerate, and also have excellent senses of humor.

On our wedding day, they were so efficient and comprehensive. I know 100% that they captured every single important moment. During the day, I couldn't stop thanking them for being there because I just knew that our special day was in their hands.

I was very pleased with our engagement photos, and our wedding photos! They truly did an amazing job documenting the day in the most comprehensive and stylistic way possible. I would recommend Tammy and Mark to the fullest extent possible :)

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Tammy and Mark on our engagement and wedding photos. They were professional and flexible - we left all the locations and directions to them because they have incredible attention to detail and creativity. Prior to our wedding day, they worked closely with our wedding planner to create a schedule that wouldn't overwhelm us. Our wedding day was a blissful blur and we couldn't have asked for a better team to capture some of the biggest moments in our lives.

As a former Wedding & Event planner I know how even the littlest details matter. Photography was very important to us and I instantly feel in love with the work from Mark & Tammy. There are so many reasons to rave about Memoire Studio Photography. You want pictures you can look back on in 20 years and say really captured the moment and aren’t outdated. Memoire provides this. Mark’s style is more editorial and Tammy’s is more journalistic. Both are stunning. They will capture glamour and stylistic pictures as well as heartfelt and emotional shots. At the initial meeting, they take notes on what you want, which is great so you don’t have one more thing to remember on your wedding day. My husband and I are both really shy, and we felt totally comfortable getting photographed. Mark and Tammy are understated: they don’t take over your special day but they work with a purpose; they are humble but they have a clear vision; and they listen to what you want and offer their experience.

My husband and I were both impressed by Mark and Tammy’s lighting, which any photographer will tell you makes or breaks a picture and how a person can look in a picture. Some of our locations had high contrast lighting, a photographer’s nightmare. Mark and Tammy’s pictures kept us looking fresh and natural, though we stood in shadows while under a bright sky. All of our pictures looked so natural and nothing was overdone or too airbrushed. So many photographers have a tendency to bleach out photos, an easy way for them to make you look better, but it loses the details and are overly stylized/trendy. Also, Mark and Tammy pain-stakingly edited out flaws in pictures (like my hanger dress straps that peeked out of my backless dress). Overall, Memoire’s style is to make sure you look like a beautiful but natural you on your special day.

Memoire’s quality is unsurpassable, their cost is very reasonable, and best of all, you’ll feel like they have become part of your family.

Tammy and Mark are amazing photographers who captured our wedding in such a beautiful, artistic, and natural light. Photography was a very important aspect of the wedding for us, and I searched very diligently to find the best photographers for our special day. Tammy and Mark have such a unique talent for capturing all the special moments of our wedding and the love between my groom and I as well as our guests and family. The artistry they capture with each photo has blown us away. We got married in San Francisco, so my husband and I wanted photos on the trolley, near the ocean, and with backgrounds of the golden gate bridge, and Tammy and Mark made all of that happen on our wedding day! Their presence throughout the wedding day was peaceful and supportive, and they had a special way of sensing the truly beautiful moments of our day. They also created a stunning wedding photo book for us that I was able to edit to my liking that we will treasure forever. I cannot say enough amazing things about Tammy and Mark- you would be blessed to have them as your photographers!!

I can't say enough wonderful words about how wonderful it was to work with Tammy & Mark. Not only do they produce AMAZING photos, they were such a pleasure to work with. From our very first meeting, to the engagement photo session, to our actual wedding day and beyond they are professional but friendly. I felt like they became involved in our story without being intrusive or were not even noticeable on the day of the wedding. They captured so many sweet and tender moments of our wedding day, I still find myself tearing up over their amazing ability to capture the emotion of the day in photographs. Tammy and Mark (Memoire Studio):

- are, first and foremost, good photographers. They will give you the colorful, creative, touching photos you are hoping for.

- make you feel comfortable. They are extremely easy to be around. Especially if you take boudoir photos while getting ready for the ceremony, you will feel natural, at ease, and not self-conscious.

- are extremely hardworking. They give you 9 hours of time, and they work their butts off every minute of it. They are everywhere, since there are two of them. And the camera doesn't stop. When you get your proofs, they are surely a thoughtfully selected minority of the many thousands of photographs they take over those nine hours.

- are prompt in responding to emails. Very important aspect of customer service.

$4,000 was a lot for my wedding budget. But that seems to be the going rate for good wedding photographers in the S.F. Bay Area these days. If you're going to pay that kind of money, you will get what you pay for in Tammy and Mark.

My review of Tammy and Mark is long overdue but only because I wanted to wait until I got my wedding album to see the final product. Looking at what is the most beautiful wedding album ever (and do upgrade to the Queensberry if you can) my husband and I are even more beyond thankful and appreciative of Memoire Studio than we could ever have imagined. How Tammy and Mark were able to capture such natural and sweet moments is beyond me, and they are truly artists in wedding photography.

My husband and I got married last November 2013 in San Francisco and for both of us having come from the entertainment business, the photography was our most important vendor. We didn't want the typical wedding photographer, instead we were looking for a photographer who could capture artistic and unique pictures with a cinematic feel. We came across Memoire and instantly fell in love with their style.

Tammy and Mark are very communicative and in the months leading up to our wedding they answered every question. Mark came down to LA for our engagement photos which I recommend since it gave us a chance to get to know them before our wedding.

On the big day, Tammy and Mark arrived on time and stayed out of the way and were so stealth I sometimes forgot they were there! They were completely professional and both had their responsibilities that they executed immediately. I was on a very tight time schedule (Mark and Tammy were working a 12 hour day and never complained once).

After the wedding I received the wedding pics (and there were a LOT of pics) and my husband and I were completely thrilled with the finished product. Not only did Tammy and Mark take all the normal pics (bouquet shot, dress shot, etc since you need those) they captured some amazing moments I've never seen. I mean, what other photographer will climb the walls of the Palace of Fine Arts and hang with one arm for balance?

Tammy and Mark are the best, you will not regret booking them!!

Tammy and Mark=Super Talented! They are a husband and wife team and work extremely well with each other and their clients. We had the pleasure of working with them for both our engagement shoot and our wedding.

As with anything that is wedding related, making that special day memorable and magical is on the top of most brides' list, mine included. I didn't want to "hope for the best" when it came to our pictures. After looking at a few other portfolios, my husband and I decided Memoire Studio's style was what we wanted for our wedding. We figured doing an engagement shoot would be helpful so we could get comfortable with taking pictures and see how Tammy and Mark engaged us. We had a wonderful experience and they were extremely accommodating.

On our wedding day, they arrived early to scout the location and just started shooting right away. With the craziness of the day while getting ready, I didn't even realize they were in the room sometimes! They're really good at getting those candid shots! Our wedding day was perfect and we're so glad that we had super talented Tammy and Mark to capture our amazing day. We were complimented on so many of our pictures from our family and friends on how beautiful and creative the shots were. The hardest part was trying to figure out which shots to actually print to have in our home since there were so many awesome ones! Tammy and Mark are incredibly sweet and talented! They're the BEST!

From the first email, Tammy and Mark have absolutely been one of our favorite vendors to work with.

Their body of work is astounding. With their photojournalistic style, they capture moments that are full of natural emotion and meaning - not just posed shots with forced smiles (though those they do beautifully too). With our outdoor wedding in Lake Tahoe, they were able to work with a variety of lighting situations masterfully - especially when there was high sunlight, which was a major concern for us.

They were also very easy to work with. Tammy and Mark are a very charming couple who clearly knows their craft. They are very responsive and communicative - emails are responded to within 24 hours.

We highly recommend doing engagement photography with them before the wedding. It gave us a chance to understand how they work and gave Tammy and Mark experience shooting us (so they know how to make us look best).

The day of the wedding, they pulled us aside briefly for some posed shots and family pictures and then were unobtrusive for the rest of the night. Every once in a while you caught one in the corner of your eye and it was a nice reminder that you'd have something to remember that moment. They were very open to suggestions - places to shoot, particular poses, and the seemingly endless stream of family members to get pictures with.

Ultimately, Tammy and Mark were fantastic. Worth every penny.

Like many engaged couples, finding the right photographer for our wedding day was a top priority. We initially attempted to look for a local photographer in the San Diego area, but we really didn't find anyone that embodied the photojournalistic style that we admired. Low and behold, we came across Tammy & Mark from Memoire Studio in San Francisco, CA. Tammy & Mark are Wedding Photo Journalist Association (WPJA), Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and FEARLESS International Award Winners. We did our research and found that their link with these professional associations as well as their photographs on their blog and website warranted a face to face meeting.

So, we flew to our favorite city in Northern California-- San Francisco, and met up with Tammy & Mark. We were immediately amazed by their talents. We were able to see their portfolio in person and were on the edge of our seats. Their pictures told stories that kept us interested and intrigued. We literally kept saying "OMG" after turning each page and each photograph was unique, creative and bold. Tammy and Mark continuously push the envelope to create innovative artistry and we were excited about what they could do for us. Tammy & Mark's pictures went beyond the usual mainstream boundaries of photography and created something different, unique and special!

Besides Tammy & Mark's technical skills and photography acumen, they are a relief to be around. This was important to us because we wanted to be relaxed during our photo shoots. Both Tammy & Mark are down to earth, genuine and have a good sense of humor. We had a blast hanging out with them at our engagement photo shoot in San Francisco several months after we met them. We were able to get to know them more on a personal level and connected with them instantly. We enjoyed hearing their stories as a couple and as new parents to an energetic, cute, playful and sassy daughter.

We were very pleased that Tammy & Mark were able to capture our story on our wedding day. They were able to bring a third photographer, Victor, who matched their personality and style. Mark, Tammy and Victor were unnoticeably positioned all over the place, capturing every single angle and every single moment throughout our wedding day.

Tammy and Mark create magical moments every time they pick up the camera. We were very pleased with our engagement photos and preview wedding photos and can't wait to see the complete set! When we saw our wedding preview photos for the first time, our facial expressions and feelings reappeared as if we were getting married all over again. Even though our wedding was a few weeks ago, it brought us back to that place that was so very special to us. This is exactly what we were looking for!

I would absolutely-positively without-a-doubt highly recommend Memoire Studio, to anyone who wants top notch service and wants to re-experience the same feelings and emotions they experienced on their wedding day. If you want to experience "WOW" moments when viewing your photos, then Tammy & Mark do not disappoint. I can't say enough about them. At the beginning, we were just like any other couple that knew really nothing about photography, but kept searching for a legitimate photographer. I spent days and days searching for the prefect photographers for our wedding. Because I think that's the most important vendor for a wedding. It's really hard to tell by only looking at the pictures on websites and price ranges can be very different.
Anyway, I found Tammy & Mark (Memoire Studio). We were so lucky to have them as our photographers. So professional, so nice, and most importantly, Great Work!
I used to work with many photographers in my job. So I am very picky about this. They are the best choice for all the Brides and Grooms.
We love all our pictures, and so do our family & friends.

I found Memoire here on PW though a special they were offering for Boudoir pics. Tammy and Mark were very responsive and professional. Due to traveling on my end, I had to move around the date a few times and they were flexible and worked with my crazy schedule.

I was super nervous before my shoot but Mark and Tammy made me feel comfortable and they are two of the most laid back awesome people you'll ever meet. We ended up chit chatting as if we were all long time friends the entire time and the shoot was fun and full of laughs =D The pictures were absolutely amazing and I look forward to working with them again soon! You will not be disappointed if you book with Tammy and Mark! =D

Memoire Studio was suggested to us through a friend who had been in the bridal party of another wedding shot by them. After reviewing their portfolio and meeting with Tammy and Mark personally, we knew they were the perfect match for us and our wedding and we are thrilled with the end results!

It was very important to us that our pictures reflected our creativity and individuality. Tammy and Mark made sure we had all the traditional shots we needed for our family, but also captured the uniqueness of the day through very beautifully-composed and interesting points of view.

We believe Tammy and Mark are true artists and this is what separates them from many other wedding photographers. That represent both the feminine and masculine points of view, and they notice beauty in the details (They capture a rare moment with a hummingbird at our reception site). Tammy and Mark were a joy to work with! From our first meeting we knew that we wanted them to be a part of our special day and we were not disappointed. They really took the time to listen to our vision and offered great photography suggestions for engagement pictures and wedding day festivities. They have such a great eye and they really captured our wedding day story with amazing detail.

I loved the fact that we had more the one photographer so that one of them could capture my husband and I and the other one could capture our family, friends and wedding details (nothing was missed!). They are also very affordable and I really appreciated the fact that I was able to have them at the hotel where we were getting ready and at the ceremony/reception site without breaking our budget. We have received many compliments on our pictures and we couldn't be happier with result. Hiring Memoire Studios was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning!

We couldn't be happier with our choice of Tammy and Mark for our wedding photographers. They make an excellent team and were a joy to work with for our engagement session and on our wedding day. They constantly exceeded our expectations with the level of service provided and we couldn't ask for better quality photographs. We get tons of compliments on our wedding photos and many of our guests commented how great our photographers were.

They were accommodating right from the beginning with our request to drive around San Francisco to shoot our engagement photos at multiple locations. We had a few locations in mind and they helped by suggesting a couple of spots which turned out to be great.

Most photographers we interviewed charge by the hour but Tammy and Mark were there for the entire day at no extra cost - from 10:00am at the salon to late into the night. It was wonderful to have two professional photographers because they were able to photograph both the groomsmen and bridesmaids getting ready before the ceremony. They scoped out the wedding location beforehand so were able to suggest a few good places to take family and bride and groom photos. That was extremely helpful because I was exhausted by then and grateful that they made those decisions for me!

Tammy and Mark really captured the special moments of the day - from the saying our vows to dancing with our friends and family. We're so happy that we chose them as our photographers and highly recommend them to any bride!

Tammy and Mark were so amazing to work with, and we have gotten non-stop compliments on how beautiful our pictures turned out. They were super flexible in dealing with our long distance planning, meeting with our bridal party first and responding to our questions over phone and e-mail. Their laid back style fit well with our personalities, and they had lots of helpful suggestions on the day of time line and what would make for good shots. And we feel like we got more for our dollar than any other photographer quoted us. You will not go wrong with Memoire Studio!

When a close friend of mine showed me her wedding photos, I knew instantly that I had found my wedding photographers when my boyfriend (now husband) didn’t even proposed to me yet! So when I was planning my wedding, there was one less thing to worry about. We couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Since both DH and I had never taken any “professional/studio pictures” before, we really didn’t know how comfortable we would be in front of the camera before our e-session, but we were blown away by our engagement photos

Tammy and Mark are so amazing. You can tell they have a passion for photography and enjoy what they do. There are so many ideas they wanted to try and we had so much fun at the shoot. I don’t know why we were worried about being camera shy! They made us feel at ease and still kept their professionalism.

On my big day, they really went above and beyond. We had some problem with DH’s boutonniere and Mark even helped DH putting it on! In our portraits, Tammy and Mark really captured the love and the sweetness that DH and I share with each other and produced the pictures that represented “us.” I love how they captured the way we laugh together, the way we look at each other and even the way we hold each other’s hands. At the reception, they totally blended in with the guests so they don’t even realize that Tammy and Mark were taking pictures. Thanks to them we’ll have pictures of our most precious moments to share with our kids someday…

Tammy and Mark were incredible from the minute we contacted them, to the wedding and beyond! We are from Toronto but had our destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where Tammy and Mark joined us to document our special day(s) there. They not only expertly captured the emotions, excitement, happiness and fun of our wedding, but also of the day before and did our engagement session the "day after" in Puerto Vallarta. Our photos from them are absolutely amazing and we could not be happier with the way they turned out! Tammy and Mark were professional and super-friendly, and really knew how to engage us and our guests. Tammy and Mark hold a very special place in our (and our families') hearts, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for fantastic wedding photographers. Their photographs are truly gems, and we are so lucky to have had them preserve our memories of our destination wedding in such a special way!
