Mel's Country Cafe catered two weddings in our family now, mine (8.22.21) and my daughter's (May 2019) and both times they did a wonderful job. I wanted food that tasted as if you were eating your grandma's or momma's best cooked meal and that is just what they delivered!! I had so many of my guest compliment on how great the food was!! There pricing is very reasonable, a great place to consider for you wedding our next event!! -

Mel’s has gone above and beyond our expectations for catering our wedding. It was homestyle food done elegant! We first had our tasting at the restaurant where we had multiple choices brought out to us. Everything was absolutely delicious, but we landed on the Chicken Fried Steak, Baked Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, green beans and macaroni and cheese!
On our wedding day, everything was plated beautifully, stayed super warm and fresh and was so delicious! We received an innumerable amount of compliments of the food and were left fighting for the leftovers to take home at the end of the evening! Hats off to you Mel’s, the best choice we could have made for our wedding meal! -

OMG!!!!! The food was incredible! We went to the tastings, fell in love with the food and booked them immediately. Mel and his staff were great and very flexible as this pandemic rocked my plans. Our count went from 275 to a final count of 130 on the final count day. Since we had already paid for most of the catering we received a refund of the difference without us even asking. With all that is happening, right now we must be appreciative of vendors who not only do a great job but also deliver spectacular customer service. -

HIGHLY RECOMMENd!! I can’t say enough great things about Mel’s! This vendor was selected for us through an all-inclusive package with our venue and I couldn’t be more thankful! Jeff was awesome to work with- very responsive, personable and professional. He brought me and my husband and my mom in for a food tasting prior to the wedding and ALL of the food was fantastic. For our wedding, their staff was great. The food was delicious- we have received several compliments on the dinner! We are so thankful that we got the chance to work with Mel’s! We will definitely be going to eat there in the future! -

Mel's has such a variety of food to choose from, which made it easy to find exactly what we wanted! We were able to choose multiple dishes to schedule a tasting. Everything was delicious, but we found our favorite. The price was awesome, great value! When it came to our Big Day, everything was wonderful! I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you're on a budget. -

I’ve grew up eating Mel’s and didn’t even know they had catering until I found them on my venues proffered list! I already knew the food was amazing so I was excited for them to cater our wedding! Jeff is awesome and he helped us so much, I changed my menu a few times cause I got indicisive so he was very patient with me. I would definitely recommend Mel’s, you will get so many compliments on the food! -

I've eaten at Mel's for my whole life and never knew they provided catering for events. When someone recommended them for my wedding I was shocked, but was even more shocked when we went to the tasting. Their catering menu is slightly different and SO good! We booked right away...we didn't taste with anyone else! They absolutely nailed our wedding. The dinner service went so smoothly and it didn't take too long for everyone to get their food. The fajitas were out of this world! They even had to go boxes ready and packed up for the groom and I because they know how hard it is to snag time to eat at your own wedding. Thank you so much, Mel's!! -

We were nervous like any couple on their wedding day but Mel's definitely helped take care of that! Not only was the food there exactly on time and ready to be served, it was also AMAZING! Everyone had a great comment about our dinner...."The mash potatoes were delicious and the gravy,Wow!"....."Never have had a tastier chicken breast!".....everyone loved it, even my grandma! Thanks Jeff and Mel's we will be reccommending you! -

Katherine Sent on 12/29/2009Mel's Diner in Tomball is a great place to go eat, but they also cater! The amount and variety of food you get for the cost is amazing!! They also did our groom's dessert, which was bannana pudding! They worked with everything we needed and then some! Really some amazing people AND Food!!!!!!
