byDesign Films was a fantastic choice for our engagement and wedding pictures! From initial booking to receiving our final pictures we had an awesome customer support team who would quickly answer our questions. There was also a photo timeline tool to help us build out what photos were important to us, and the timing of photography throughout our wedding day. This photo timeline ultimately ended up being our wedding day timeline, so that was awesome! Would definitely recommend! -

Hire this company!
We had the best experience working with byDesign Photo + Film. From the start, the communication was amazing and our questions were always answered in a timely manner. Our photographers Jeremy and Daniel were so much fun to work with. Being someone who isn’t photogenic, I was so nervous about taking pictures, but after a phone call with Jeremy leading up to the wedding I knew I was in good hands. He truly made me feel so comfortable. Our pictures are flawless. I highly recommend hiring this company! -

By Design was amazing to work with for my wedding. Right when I initially contacted them, they were extremely helpful and responsive. If I had any questions leading up to my wedding day they answered in a very timely manner. The videos turned out amazing and the videographer day of was so kind and sweet. I highly recommend! -

I could not be more grateful we chose this company to capture our wedding day and the beautiful moments it encompassed. From start to finish, including the introductory call through to the final product, everything was well-organized, detailed, personal and catering to our preferences. We planned this New York-wedding from California and felt so comfortable in their hands. Our photographer was a DREAM! We first met him for our engagement session and he went above and beyond! And our wedding pictures, my gosh - they are stunning and captured the true love expressed on that day. The icing on the cake was the video, which I may or may not watch every day haha. Not only is their work professional and very well done, but in their hands, you can rest assured your beautiful moments will be captured by their team. -

We are so incredibly happy that we went with ByDesign for our videography. They were extremely helpful with customizing our videography package to match our vision for the wedding day. We purchased the same day edit package, so we could play our first look footage at the reception. The team was extremely timely and productive to make this happen in a short amount of time. Our friends and family were blown away with the short film and loved the ability to witness such a private and intimate moment for the two of us. It added a super personal and unique touch to our wedding that our guests had not seen done at other weddings. ByDesign is the reason this element was executed so well. Not to mention, our wedding day was outdoors for the first look, ceremony, and reception; a huge thunderstorm was in the forecast that day. They did an outstanding job of capturing aerial footage of the different locations before the terrible weather hit. For these reasons, we are extremely pleased and glad we made the decision to go with ByDesign. We look forward to relive our wedding day on our one year anniversary and cannot wait to show our children in years to come. :)

It was a little over our budget to get ByDesign Films, but after looking through so many other videos from other suppliers for so many days and hours... we found that their style, cinematography, storytelling, and package options were what we found most suitable for us! I edit videos myself, so I have very specific things I am looking for in edited videos. After we got our Instagram video and our Highlight Film, my husband and I were just so blown away! They truly captured the best parts of our special day and wove them together so beautifully. They took into consideration all my very detailed requests, and I really appreciated that. Their videographers were so flexible and friendly on the day of our wedding and made us feel so at ease. Their coordinating team was also amazing, efficient, and very professional. My husband and I have absolutely no regrets and we are so very happy that we invested in a wedding video with this vendor! :) -

The byDesign team exceeded every expectation I had. From the very beginning, I felt like capturing every moment was their top priority, and they went above and beyond throughout the entire day. Tim also arrived early to check in with me, see what I needed, and worked with the rest of my vendor team to truly capture everything! I was the bride of my wedding day and I am so thankful that I choose byDesign to capture my day! We got 2 photographers and 2 videographers! Everyone was so amazing, friendly, very professional and great to work with! Our wedding day was captured perfectly, to every little detail. We love being able to look back at the beautiful photo albums byDesign made and getting to watch our wedding day over again with the video they made for us. I had to get married again I would book byDesign to take care of my big day! -

My husband and I knew we wanted to capture our wedding day with not only photos, but video as well. We talked to a few videographers, but we knew we wanted to go with ByDesign Films. They mentioned that we had a lot of flexibility with our video, including choosing the song. Additionally, they worked with us to meet with our budget as well.
After we booked with ByDesign, we had a project manager that answered all our questions and made sure our videographers would capture all the highlights of our wedding day. She was super responsive and helpful!
Our videographers on our wedding day were very professional as well. When we received our video, we wanted a few changes and they were happy to make those changes.
Overall, we are very satisfied with ByDesign Films team. -

We hired Melo to photograph our wedding. The photographer was amazing! We were on a shoestring budget, so we couldn't afford a second photographer or a videographer. However, the photographer we had did an amazing job and captured so many wonderful moments! We could not possibly be happier with the results! I would highly recommend Melo to anyone needing lost cost/high quality wedding photography! -

While our videographers were wonderful (I believe all videographers are independently contracted through ByDesign) I cannot recommend ByDesign.
First, we selected a videographer for our wedding and were confirmed months in advance, and then ByDesign let us know about a month prior to our wedding that this videographer was double booked and they would need to assign a new one.
Second, It took 6 months (beyond their contracted window) to receive our videos. A few weeks prior to that date, they let us know it would be late and they offered us our raw footage free of charge. We accepted, but ended up have still yet to receive that 2 months later. It has now been over a month since we've received our films - we made 3 very minor requests for edits - and they have not been able to provide even an ETA on when they'll be able to get the edited versions back. After a month.
Overall, the professionalism just isn't there for this company. You don't need the stress of having to manage vendor disorganization on top of everything else! -

Please do not hire byDesign Films. They are very disorganized and their customer server is horrendous.
Our contract said we would get the final video no later than 20 weeks out from our wedding. To begin with, that is a very long timeline, significantly longer than any other vendor we worked with. I checked in with them a few times in the months after our wedding and they said we were on track for an on-time delivery. Then at the contract deadline I followed up again and was passed to our fourth customer server rep at the company and told there was a delay.
Only after I was able to get that person on the phone and express my distress and dissatisfaction did we receive our video. That was almost six months after our wedding.
Our contract allowed for additional edits after delivery of the video, and we asked for a few small tweeks. They said it would take three weeks to get it back to us. That was nine weeks ago and I have heard nothing.
I had to practically beg for our wedding video that we had paid thousands of dollars for and they did not apologize or offer compensation. This company will treat you and your partner like a number not a person.
They may seem like a good deal now, but it is truly not worth the trouble and emotional drain. -

We had a terrible experience with BDF - the second shooter was very unprofessional and rude to our other vendors and planner, and when our planner gave this feedback to BDF they just said 'thanks for letting us know' - with no follow up. We have also had a really frustrating time with revisions, as there is no collaboration with the person doing the edits so the several rounds of revisions have come back without the specific requested edits being made. Would not recommend this company, they were by far our worst vendor. -
