My husband Cory and I absolutely loved working with Melissa! She was incredibly flexible even under a tight time constraint for our first looks; she had wonderful ideas for posing and where to take pictures before, during, and after the ceremony; and she got several beautiful shots of us together at sunset (our favorite time of day). Even more impressive, she got over 200 photos sent back to us within 2 weeks of our wedding day! We were so happy to be able to review them while on our honeymoon. I would most definitely work with Melissa again. -

Absolutely loved Melissa's work. We booked her for our wedding last week and she did a fantastic job. She took the time to learn the names of the wedding party to make it more personable, and put in the extra effort that showed she cares. All of the photos turned out beautiful and she was able to capture all of the natural beauty of the venue with each shot. Melissa showed up early and was so patient through all of the chaos of getting ready. I could not have asked for a more talented photographer and genuine person. Highly recommend for any occasion. Best photographer ever!
Melissa was the best part about my wedding day (besides my groom of course), she is not only professional, creative and fun- she has such a great way of making her subjects feel comfortable. My new husband and I are not great fans of being photographed, but Melissa actually had us really enjoying it. She comes up with great poses and goes above and beyond the typical poses with genius creativity. I can’t say enough great things about her. We live two states away and I can honestly say we will travel to her when we do any family photos in the future!!! She is the best! -

Melissa was incredible to work with. My husband and I are from KY and found her through researching photographers in the area and loved that she had multiple options for our small beach wedding ceremony. She had samples the very next day and full portfolio within 2 weeks. She captured who we are and our wonderful day. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to use her for beach setting pictures cause she knows exactly how to capture the perfect lighting. Wedding 2023 with Melissa
I can highly!! recommend Melissa for any type of photo sessions. We have booked her services for our wedding in April 2023. My husband and i are both super camera shy so i was a bit nervous in the beginning but Melissa is such a wonderful and kindhearted person. She literally took the shyness off of us by just doing her job. I am absolutely in love with how the pictures turned out and how fast she sent them back to us. She could probably charge twice of the price that she is doing right now. Friendly, fair priced, amazing pictures, fast processing time. 5 of 5 possible stars for this lady. -

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My wife and I were fortunate to find Melissa for our micro wedding on Isle of Palms. She went above and beyond any expectations we may have had. From our first meeting on zoom we knew we wanted her to be our photographer. She was patient and kind. She asked questions about what we were hoping for and helped plan our engagement photos and wedding perfectly for us. She helped organize our day, communicated with us leading up to the wedding, and gave wonderful advice. We received our engagement photos very quickly and she provided a teaser soon after our wedding day that had us eagerly awaiting her final product. Most importantly Melissa has great energy. She is friendly, her presence was relaxing for us on our big day, and she knew everyone’s name in our families including the dogs in the first 5 mins. Her work is stunning! We are obsessed with the photos she took. She captured every magical moment. I highly recommend Melissa, you won’t be disappointed! -

Wonderful wedding photographer
Melissa was AMAZING. Not only did she catpure the most amazing day of my life, but she took wonderful photos to always remember the day. She is the absolute sweetest. Both of our families loved her. She is so personable and I immediately felt comfortable in her presence. She was efficient and made sure we had time to capture everything we wanted. Phenomenal!
I don’t even know where to begin with how amazing Melissa is! I came across her photography on Instagram and loved her photography and editing style and how her photos seem relaxed and not forced, so I requested her as my micro wedding photographer. I am absolutely ecstatic that I did. She was so kind and professional. She took us to some of the most amazing spots around downtown Charleston, effortlessly posed us, and delivered breathtaking photos in record time. I had sneak peek photos within a couple of hours and the full gallery in just a couple of days. Not only were the photos amazing, but the experience of working with her was second to none. It was like hanging out with a friend all day. I can’t believe my wedding photos, and I highly highly highly recommend her! -

A million thank yous
They say a picture is worth a thousand words but Melissa's are worth 10,000. She truly captured every special moment and small detail of our day. My husband and I eloped in Charleston and we are so happy with all of our photos not to mention the record time that Melissa sent them to us so that we could share them with all of our family and friends who couldn't physically be there with us that day. She made my camera shy husband feel comfortable and was so fun and natural to work with. A million thank yous are not enough. -

The Best Wedding Photographer in Charleston!
Melissa was one of the easiest and best decisions we made when planning our small, beach wedding. She was so kind, professional, and knowledgedable! We hired an event planning company who offered elopement packages as small or large as you'd prefer. Our package included photography, and that is how we found Melissa. She is the absolute sweetest and most helpful lady. If you have even gotten married before, then you know the actual day is a whirlwind with your head being in one million places. She helped me with poses, and fashioned my dress for me, kept me straight, and made it fun! I needed that because I felt like a blind duck! Ha ha! She had a sneak peak ready for us quickly, and the finished photos ready super fast as well. I would absolutely recommend her, and would absolutely use her again for anything else. Thanks again, Melissa, for helping our wedding day to flow seamlessly! -

Melissa captured all the sweet moments from our intimate ceremony. She was very friendly and professional and was amazing at directing our slightly dysfunctional family members during our photography session. She made sure I looked great in every single picture. Melissa definitely has an attention to detail and helped us pose in the most flattering ways. She was great for my husband and I who normally feel very awkward in front of a camera. Our photos were done within 2 days as opposed to the 1-3 weeks time we expected to wait. They came out so elegant and beautiful. She captured everything in the exact style I hoped for. Every single picture couldn't have turned out more perfect- looks straight out of a wedding magazine! I am getting a lot of comments about how amazing our photographer was. I highly highly highly recommend Melissa!! -

AMAZING!!!! We absolutely LOVE Melissa!
We came to Isle of Palms from Colorado for a beach wedding. She gave us great advice about colors for our wedding party, beach sites, time of day, and possible weather conditions. She texted me weather reports the week leading up to our big day!
She arrived early (with a cute umbrella just in case) thankfully we didn’t need it.
She captured all the little details, pictures of getting ready, our rings, and amazing, truly amazing details of the ceremony and family photos after.
The value and flexibility is important and definitely 5 stars, but Melissa’s talent and personality will make your choice easy and thankful you selected such a rock star!!! Call her, view her site and trust me you will absolutely LOVE her too! -

Melissa took our wedding ceremony and after ceremony photos at Hampton Park (small wedding) and was AMAZING!!! Every photo she gave us was beautiful and perfectly captured how happy we both were. We could not be more thrilled about the experience we had with Melissa!! She was worth every penny and more. We were a group of 10 coming to Charleston for a bachelorette party and wanted to do a photoshoot to commemorate the trip. Melissa was so easy to communicate with while scheduling and preparing for the shoot and on the day of when we had to make adjustments on the timing due to weather, she was very flexible and able to accommodate us. She had a beautiful vision for the photoshoot and has an eye for incredible spots that photograph beautifully on rainbow row! She was so sweet and patient with us and directed us so that the photos were stunning and seemingly candid. She took her time making every shot perfect and her attention to detail was definitely evident in her photos. I’m so thrilled with the pictures!!! Thank you Melissa! We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience! -

This photographer was amazing and captured our ceremony amazingly well. We had weather issues but she was undeterred and made lemonade out of our lemons. She’s got an amazing eye for picking out great architectural backdrops and gave us exactly what I was hoping for! The processing time was also faster than I expected. I’d definitely hire her again! -

She was patient and calm in getting our families organized for the group photos and let us give input throughout the process.
She paid attention to all of the details. She would move things around to create the perfect scene and made sure to check lighting. In a crowded park she was able to maintain control of the environment and ensure we had great shots with minimal interference.
We are extremely happy with the quality of our photos and would love to work with Melissa again! -
