Melissa was our wedding photographer, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The photos? Stunning. She has an incredible ability to capture candid moments—the kind you don’t even remember happening until you see them and they take your breath away. Whether it was a stolen glance between us during the ceremony or a little touch from my partner in the middle of the reception, she got it all. Melissa also went above and beyond when it came to family photos. My mom had quite a few specific requests (many, many groupings of siblings, cousins, etc.), and Melissa was so gracious and patient throughout the whole process. She didn’t just make us look good in the pictures, she made us feel comfortable while taking them, which, as two people who don’t love being in front of the camera, was a huge gift. I can’t recommend her highly enough for anyone who wants a photographer who’s not only talented but also makes the experience enjoyable.

From the very beginning, Melissa was amazing. Over the phone she got to know us, our vision for our big day, and even helped organize the wedding timeline. She was extremely professional and organized, and her photos are truly some of the best I have ever seen. She seamlessly captures candids, traditional photos, detail shots, and everything in between. The best part was the sneak peak that she delivered the very next day - she will never know how special it was to be able to share the photos and re-live our wedding the very next day. Great Experience!
My wife and I loved working with Melissa for our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Melissa went out of her way to get to know us and understand what we wanted from a photographer. We had a great time taking our engagement photos and they turned out incredible!
On the wedding day, Melissa was super on top of things, making sure she captured all the posed shots that we wanted as well as getting the candids. She turned around the finished pictures in just a couple weeks and we can't stop looking through the photo collections! We'd definitely recommend Melissa as a photographer for weddings or any other occasion!

We are so happy that we hired Melissa as our photographer for our wedding. She prioritizes getting to know the couple, not only to discover our wants and expectations for photos, but also to learn about our history and understand the story she wants to capture. We felt like she was already a close friend after meeting her once. We as a couple are not the most comfortable in front of a camera, so we were overjoyed when Melissa created such a fun environment for us during our engagement photoshoot. The photos came out stunning, and there was not an awkward pose to be found! In addition to her work that speaks for itself, Melissa was in regular contact with us throughout the wedding planning process. She is quick to respond and has tons of helpful advice from her many years of working in the industry. She helped us put our wedding day timeline together, came to see the venue with us, and answered all our questions. Melissa was so efficient and professional on our wedding day which helped us maximize our time with our guests. She took amazing photos throughout the day, capturing the complete picture of our wedding that we love to look through regularly. Amazingly, she continued working even after the wedding just to provide us with a wonderful sneak peek album that she shared with us before the night had ended! We were shocked by how quickly she worked to get all of the pictures back to us. Our family and friends also had nothing but lovely things to say about Melissa. They loved interacting with her during the day and have all been thoroughly impressed by the photos she captured. We can’t wait to work with her again!

I can’t say enough good things about Melissa, she truly made our wedding day!! It started with doing engagement photos together and she really took the time to get to know us and our story and made us feel so comfortable. I genuinely consider Melissa a friend and could not imagine anyone else photographing our wedding. Not only we’re the photos exactly what we asked for but they were so much more. I cannot recommend Melissa enough. From the first phone call she was understanding of our priorities and was flexible in putting together a package that fit our needs. She is incredibly professional and personable and put us at ease immediately. She went above and beyond in finding a great spot for our first look and even offered to photograph an impromptu ceremony we ended up putting together when we found out my father couldn't come to our wedding. When it came time for photos, she gave clear directions and was very efficient while also making it fun (for two people who really don't like having pictures taken of us). She made family photos a breeze. And then she gave us a TON of gorgeous sneak peek photos by midnight the night of our wedding. Seriously. I cannot recommend her enough. She's incredible.

A DREAM! The best there is!
I knew from our first call that Melissa was the photographer for me! During our first consult we talked for over an hour. I love her photo and her eye to detail but love her personality more. Melissa is professional, knows when to get people to pay attention but is warm hearted and looks for the special details to make your day the best that it can be. We didn't do an engagement shoot but were able to get dinner with her a few days before our wedding which made the day that much easier; it's like shooting photos with an old friend. With a massive group (8 groomsman, 4 ushers, 6 bridesmaids) and a lot of family photo requests, she was able to keep everything moving... even though I was over an hour behind with hair and makeup.
Melissa turned our photos on a dime and I forever thankful for this. We had our photos within 3 weeks and 2 weeks later, we lost my mother-in-law. During our time with her, we went through all the photos, marked some of her favorites and had them printed to be in her room so she could be surrounded by our special day.
I will forever be thankful for Melissa and our photos and would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

If I could select 10 stars, I would! Melissa is an incredibly talented, experienced, and special photographer and person. Booking her for our wedding was the absolute best decision we could have made. She makes such an effort to get know you and your significant other during the wedding planning process, and in the end she becomes a dear friend. She is such a pro when it comes to her craft - she captures all the right moments in all the best ways, gives you a ton of direction so that you look your absolute best and most authentic, and makes you feel extremely comfortable and supported. My husband and I have worked with Melissa Babasin for a couple of events now, and we cannot recommend her highly enough!
Melissa is incredibly professional and friendly: she takes the time to get to know you personally and to really nail down exactly what you do and don’t want for your photos. She makes sure you get the loveliest shots from any venue, and she has a great eye for light and composition. Melissa takes advantage of every moment to get candids and tiny details you’d never even think of, and those will end up being some of your most treasured mementos. I wasn’t worried for a second about photos during my big day because I had such total faith that Melissa was on top of it!

Amazing Photographer!!
Melissa is the best photographer around. We booked her early on because we loved her style and after a phone consult, could tell that her personality was so great! We had a perfect engagement session with her where she got to know both of us (and our pup). She created an efficient timeline for us on wedding day and worked so well with the wedding party and family to get all the shots we wanted. Literally the night of our wedding she was sending us sneak peeks of the photos! We also got our wedding photos back SO fast after the wedding (3 weeks - I’m serious)! The photos turned out amazing, she captured us and our day in such a natural, genuine style.
I’d highly recommend Melissa for any photography needs. I’ve had so many people ask for her contact info because they loved her style and our photos. She is an amazing photographer and also an amazing person!

Melissa is AMAZING! We are so so grateful we hired her to document our wedding. She is so talented! She has a way of working with light and capturing the emotion of your special moments that creates beautiful photographs. We cherish the photos we have from our wedding and engagement session and I’m sure will use her many more times to document family moments. Melissa is also kind, flexible and organized. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple, our story and our families. That type of care really shows in how she documents an event. You can tell this is her passion and the couples and families she works with are more than just clients. We had lots of twists and turns in our wedding planning journey including needing to reschedule our original date due for the pandemic. She was so flexible and understanding through all of it. We had both Hindu and Christian ceremonies on our wedding day to honor both of our religious and cultural backgrounds. With a packed day some things got turned around with the schedule and Melissa jumped into an impromptu coordinator, working with other vendors to make sure to adjust and adapt. I can’t recommend Melissa highly enough to document special family moments. Oh and she and her husband also do amazing video work as well—they created the sweetest highlight video that really captures our special day!

Amazing wedding photographer!
Melissa is absolutely amazing!! She photographed our wedding this summer and totally killed it. Our photos were exactly what we wanted and it was awesome having her play an integral part in documenting the occasion. Melissa is full of energy and goes out of her way to make sure she documents everything!… and the results were stunning!! She allows the images to be filled with natural light and colors, and doesn’t add crazy filters to skew them- although I’m sure she would if you wanted her to; she’s very easy to work with and strives to make your vision a reality.

Can not say enough good things about Melissa
If you're looking for a photographer, look no further! Melissa is amazing! We won her giveaway for our covid wedding/elopement. Not only were the photos beautiful, she was so helpful. She was easy to work with, great communication, and gave good direction to help with posing. But not only did she help with posing, she helped with bustling my gown, lacing up my corset, and helped my husband and his mom pin his boutonniere. Melissa was able to capture the day so beautifully and get those real and raw emotions. My aunt in another state wanted to be here with us, but couldn't due to the pandemic, but because of the photos Melissa took, she said she felt like she was right here celebrating with us. Really I can not say enough good things about Melissa. If we didn't already have a photographer contracted for our big wedding next year, I would book Melissa in a heartbeat!

Wedding & Engagement Photos
We hired Melissa for our engagement photos (sunrise in Seattle, WA) and for our wedding in Winters, CA. From the first meeting with her, we felt comfortable with her. She easily made us laugh and convinced us that we would be in good hands at our wedding. I love every single photo she has delivered to us (which is TONS!). Most of all, I am so amazed and thankful by how many small meaningful details she caught of our wedding (many of which I didn't have time to appreciate on the day of because it was so busy). Like our 2 year old nephew eating a giant chicken tender (he is such a big eater!) and my brother lovingly patting my husbands arm right as he began walking down the aisle. Not to mention all the fabulous family portraits of my 40+ member family. I cannot thank her enough and I am so glad she was there to make sure the best day of our lives was captured forever!

More than I ever expected!!!!
As a bride, everything can be stressfully, especially when the weather doesn’t cooperate and then when you have a big family that needs to be gathered. Melissa made me feel at ease like everything was taken care of and going to be beautiful no matter what... she also was just the right amount of bossy to get my big family together and get all the family shots done. Her artistic ability to capture the photos of the entire day have blown me away! My husband and I feel like we relived our wedding day through her photography. Amazing experience, video and pictures!!
Having Melissa, and her husband Aram, shoot our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Our pictures and video are amazing! It took longer for the wedding party to get ready, throwing off our entire schedule for the day, and Melissa was still able to get all the shots we wanted in a short amount of time. Melissa was absolutely amazing! Knowing that she and her assistant would be there on my wedding day was very comforting during the planning process. She made a point to get to know me and my husband and was the most pleasant vendor I worked with. We hired Melissa purely off of recommendations from friends that have used her and we are so glad we did. Our wedding pictures are simply amazing. Melissa captured the feel of our day perfectly. Of all the elements that go into that perfect wedding, the photography is the one thing that will bring those moments back to you again and again. Melissa's photography of my daughter's wedding did just that and even more. Melissa was AMAZING!!! My wedding was on 9/21/18 and I got my photos and video back under 2 weeks. She was so accommodating the day of the wedding and truly made my husband and I her priority. I loved that she was on top of everything and didn’t let anyone slow her down. She knew all the right shots and got pictures of all the details. She was amazing. All her photos turned out beautiful. I wish I could frame everyone of them. The video turned out so sweet. I loved being able to relive our special day through it. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!!

In a word, Melissa is outstanding! She is so easy to talk to and felt more like a friend than the photographer we simply hired. Group shots were super smooth and efficient, then individual shots were a blast full of genuine smiles. Throughout the day Melissa brought energy and enthusiasm and was able to capture the vision and feel that we wanted for our wedding photos.

You can't go wrong with Melissa! From the very beginning (my husband surprised me by having her shoot our engagement as well), she was warm, friendly, and genuinely excited for us. She was timely and professional with her communication and made us feel like we were her number one client (even though we know that realistically she has numerous clients). The day-of, she helped run the schedule so I (being an event planner) didn't have to stress about anything and could focus on my day. She got every shot we wanted and more!
I promise you, you won't be disappointed with Melissa and you'll be going back for more shoots in the future!

Melissa helped get rid of our initial awkwardness in front of the camera during our engagement shoot and had us laughing the whole time. Our wedding day was a blur- I can't believe how fast it went by. I still am in awe of the quality and quantity of photos Melissa and Aram delivered to us after the wedding. It's been two months now and I keep finding new favorites that I hadn't noticed the first time around. I could not put a price tag on the value these photos hold for us.

We LOVE Melissa! A couple years ago, we were looking for a photographer to gift a session to my now MIL for Christmas. As I was searching online, I found Melissa. She and her husband are as professional as you can get while making you feel like part of their family. They will get all the shots you want and some you didn't know you'd want. If you're looking for someone who will care for you, not add ANY stress, and make you feel incredibly special on your big day, choose her! We had some interesting events (out of our control) happen during our engagement session and then our wedding, and they handled everything so well and just worked around with what was happening. They honestly care about you, your significant other, your life and family. Melissa and Aram will actually take you and your fiancé out to dinner so they both can get to know you before the big day! Melissa will take charge, and that is exactly what you need when everything seems so chaotic. Everyone is so hyped up during a wedding and it was so nice to have her in charge and to make sure everyone was doing what they needed to be doing for pictures. I couldn't have asked for a better photography team for our wedding day. Between the pictures from the engagement session and then our wedding, I know we could have not gotten anyone better then Melissa and Aram. If you need something, have any questions, or want certain pictures taken she listens and delivers, but delivers beyond your expectations. The highlight video, is so worth the little extra money, do not skip out on that!! You will not be disappointed. I know we will be using them again in the future, we love them! :)

Booking Melissa and Aram as our wedding photographers was the best decision ever! They are super easy to communicate with, and respond promptly to all phone calls and emails. Melissa and Aram truly care about their clients which is reflected in their work. Melissa even helped me fix my hair and adjust my wedding dress while taking pictures! Our wedding photos turned out absolutely beautiful. Our package included a highlight video and it is just amazing and perfectly sums up the emotions of the day. Melissa was especially good at rounding up the bridal party for photos and getting the perfect shots. She stuck to the schedule and captured all of our requested photos and had great suggestions and poses for other photos. The turnaround time for photos and video was also super quick. I first stumbled upon Melissa's beautiful work in a wedding magazine during the time of my engagement. I instantly fell in love with her photography style of both natural yet romantic images. She took care of me and helped us all through the day. As for the whole reason she was there (to take photos) Melissa and Aram take amazing photos!!! She knew just where to pose us and made our photos look natural and made the whole family look good at the same time...that is a miracle in itself. They caught all the special and funny moments. I could not have picked a better photographer! Melissa knows exactly what to do, she was very well prepared and organized, she took away a lot of my stress, and she had an awesome photo schedule for everyone beforehand. Even though the ceremony went long and we were very short on picture time, we were able to get so many awesome pictures because of the preparedness of Melissa. Melissa was fantastic! She made room in her schedule for me when I changed my wedding date to 4 months sooner! We got married at San Francisco City Hall on June 26 of this year which ended up being a BIG day for the Supreme Court, The quiet City Hall wedding I was planning turned into media, elected officials, and people celebrating in and outside the venue. Melissa took charge, got there early, and texted me to reassure me she was taking care of things. When I arrived, she had gotten them to allow us to use a better spot so the ceremony could be away from the crowds. She also then stayed after with us to get pictures of us walking through all the media and around the building. Melissa took the time to get to know me, my fiance, and our families and was very efficient (didn't waste time.) She is so great, we would fly her to Alabama (where we live) for our next big event.

She also clearly cares a lot about how you look in your photos - during our engagement session she was constantly helping me reposition my dress and hair so I would look my best. We spent a lot of time researching a photographer as this was the most important thing to us. Melissa's work by far superseded anything else out there. She is not just a photographer, she is more like an artist. We seriously could not be happier with her work as well as the friendship built in the process!
Melissa and her husband Aram were so easy to work with . They were always right there to get the perfect shot, but never "in the way." In fact, during the ceremony, probably because I was so nervous, I didn't notice them at all, but they got a lot of really great shots. Melissa also was very quick to get our pictures to us. Five days after the wedding she emailed my husband and I a link where we could look at all of the pictures and another link that we could send to our family and friends. My mom, step-mom, dad, and mother-in-law all loved how the pictures turned out. Actually, one of my best friends and bridesmaids loved our engagement photos so much, she booked Melissa for her wedding too.
Special note: She hugs, she makes you drink water all day, she makes you feel comfortable and beautiful, and she has no problem making sure your hair is in the right place and your side boob isn't popping out! :) She is seriously the best!

My family found Melissa a couple years back for family photos and we immediately fell in love with her incredible work and her as a person! She takes incredible photos and makes you feel comfortable the entire time. The men in my family do not take good photos, but somehow she managed to do so. When I got engaged, we knew we had to hire her. We signed up for the package that included a 2 hour engagement session where she emailed me all of the photos, and 9 hours at our wedding with 2 photographers (her and her husband). We received our wedding pictures 6 days after our wedding - fully edited. I've seen on Facebook that she is constantly doing photo shoots and weddings, so that turn around time was outstanding to us. We were blown away by the quality of our pictures; they were better than we could have ever imagined. She truly has an artistic eye; we would be walking and she would see things that we didn't and turn it into a beautiful picture. When creating our wedding budget, we decided that our pictures will last the rest of our lives, so that was where we thought we should spend more money. However, Melissa is extremely fair priced for the quality of pictures you receive. Worth every last penny.

All of my guests raved about how absolutely wonderful she was, how she was fun, nice, easy to work with; it didn't even feel like we had a photographer, it was more like just having another good friend there. Her photos are breath taking, and she's so direct with what she wants and what she knows will look best. Her use of the natural lighting at our wedding was unbelievable. My photos were ready so much faster then I could have even hoped.

Melissa and her husband, Aram, are just INCREDIBLE. When we started our search, Melissa had been an acquaintance, so I researched her website. I loved what she did with lighting and how she was able to bring out genuine joy in-not-so natural situations, so I booked a meeting. She is was a class act from the get go. Prompt, professional, with quality products and competitive prices. She also doesn't over-book herself, so she can dedicate the time and effort her client's photographs require-- and it shows. First we had our engagement session with Melissa, and loved every minute. She really cares about making her photos mean something to her clients. I explained my vision, and we collaborated to choose places to shoot that were meaningful to my husband and I. Our engagement pictures turned out PERFECT and the session itself was painless. My husband really dislikes having his picture taken, but after our engagement session, we got back in the car and he said, "That really wasn't bad at all, I think it's because I can BS with her." Coming from him, that's a rave review-- he felt comfortable and in turn, the pictures turned out natural and beautiful.
During wedding day planning, Melissa put careful consideration into planning the photo timeline to capture all the shots I wanted, but also have time to BE at my own wedding. As for the wedding day itself, my mom said it best, "She is a dream photographer." Melissa and her second shooter/husband, Aram, arrived early, stayed late and captured every detail of our day. The wedding day goes by so fast that it is so difficult to enjoy all the little details I worked for months to plan-- now we have beautiful pictures to remember that hard work. I really appreciate her attention to the details of lighting and composition. And as for Aram, not only does he have that keen eye, he is also incredibly considerate. Aram always made sure I had ice water between shots.
We are already trying to find excuses to hire her again. LOVE!!

Melissa and her husband are an incredible team! It takes a happily married couple to truly capture the love and special moments of your wedding day. Melissa truly captured every single emotion of the day. I am more than impressed with my wedding photos, I can't stop drooling over them. I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life!!! Melissa and her husband shot my cousins wedding last June, not only were her photos amazing I just really liked working with her. She makes you feel comfortable the entire day. I was dreading photo after photo but it felt effortless and fun! I will have these memories forever! She asked me to pick 50 of my favorite photos so that she can make an album for us...... that is an IMPOSSIBLE task because there are hundreds that are my favorite!!!! I gave her a 5/5 but she deserves 50000000/5 because she is that wonderful. Not only is the "day of" the wedding great, she gets to know you and your significant other prior to the wedding so that she really understands what you want and gets your style and vision before the big day. Melissa was AMAZING! From the moment I first met her I could tell that she was good at her job, but she really shined at our wedding. She worked quickly and efficiently, but made she we got all of the shots that we wanted (even though everything was running late that night). Plus, she somehow managed to get our photos back to us in about 1 week! That's crazy, especially because I know she was super busy photographing other weddings. I highly recommend Melissa not only for her professionalism and talent, but also because of her approachability and kindness.

Melissa took our engagement and wedding photos and she did and AMAZING job! Not only did her pictures turn out beautifully, but she was great to work with. She was very kind and made us feel incredibly comfortable throughout the day. Melissa even mapquested directions from our ceremony to our reception in the back of our car when there was construction on the highway! It was a really stressful moment but she was ready to help. We didn't have to worry about the photos getting done at the right place at the right time - Melissa, in the nicest way possible, took the reigns and was not afraid to tell people where to be and when. It took so much stress off of us and the pictures are amazing.

My husband and I got married at Kirkwood Mountain Resort in September 2014. Melissa was very flexible when our outdoor plans for both the ceremony and reception became indoor plans at the last-minute due to rain and snow. She arrived earlier than she said and stayed later than agreed. I was impressed by how tough and adventurous she is. Getting outdoor portraits with the beautiful Sierra mountains in the background was really important to my Husband and me. You can imagine how disappointed I was when I woke up to a storm on my wedding day! Not only did Melissa tough the cold and rain to get us the outdoor portraits we wanted, but they turned out super cool and unique! I appreciated how clear and firm, yet polite Melissa was to everyone when directing family members and the bridal party during portraits. It was super efficient, yet everyone still had a blast. We ended up with almost 1,000 photos! Melissa also played a large role in helping us stay on schedule throughout the event.

Melissa is extremely talented! We have used her for our wedding and as our boys have grown we've taken a couple mile stones sessions. Even when my boys are misbehaving and I think we weren't able to get any good pictures, I'm always in awe of what she's able to capture. She knows just how to get my kids attention and is able to get their personalities to shine thru in the pictures. I'm so blessed to know such a talented photographer. I am from Orange County, and once my boyfriend proposed his sister told me about her best friend, Melissa. I called Melissa a month later letting her know about my upcoming San Francisco Destination, family ceremony and she was all in. She emailed me an itinerary of possible settings in the city, and each place was carefully thought about and she already had a vision.
On the wedding day I was anxious before the ceremony, and when Melissa walked in, all my uptight nerves disappeared. I had never met her, and instantly she was my best friend. She was calming and comforting and reminded me every minute on how beautiful I was.
My catalog of pictures forms a beautiful story, and my San Fran day was a fairy tale thanks to Mel.
I am so blessed by all her art.

Melissa did my engagement photos. 3 hours 3 outfit changes 106 degrees in Aug and NOT a SINGLE bad picture. I was blown away. She maid us feel so relaxed and there for our pictures came out so natural. We have so many of them blown up on canvases hanging throughout our home.

From the initial consultation with Melissa I felt an instant connection. She was so personable and kind and made me feel very comfortable and excited for the wedding process. Melissa was amazing! Our wedding pictures are gorgeous. She was able to capture awesome moments of our wedding that we can remember forever. Our wedding was in NorCal and my husband and I both live in SoCal and she moved to Portland before our wedding, but she still made sure to connect with us to make sure she provided everything we wanted.
