Our friend said not only are her photos great, but her personality and creativity made their day even more special. We couldn't agree more. We had Melissa do both our engagement pictures and our wedding photos and couldn't be happier. She is easy to get a hold of and stay in contact with as well as very accommodating when it comes to meeting at different places. She was the best and definitely recommend. -

Abbie Sent on 01/06/2016I could not give a higher recommendation for Melissa Alderton! Here's why you should consider her to shoot your wedding:
-Very reasonable prices with fantastic quality.
-Incredible personality and a true joy to be around (important since you'll spend all day with your photographer!).
-Extremely professional and experienced but also brings a calming presence on a day that can feel hectic.
-Efficient and organized in getting our family and group photos; our family was thrilled to be done so quick!
-Had a sneak peek the night of the wedding, an extensive online preview a few weeks later, and our edited images about two months after the wedding. We loved being able to have our pictures so quickly.
-Melissa's package gives you rights to your photos (this was a must for me in selecting a photographer) so you can print high quality images on your own through Mpix.
-Our photos turned out fabulous; we have many different shot angles and lighting, a good mix of vertical and horizontal orientations, and a nice blend of formal and candid pictures.
-The comfort level we had with Melissa (and the fun we had with her) is totally reflected in our pictures! She was able to capture our natural smiles and personalities, even with my husband who doesn't love having his picture taken.
We feel so lucky to have found Melissa to be a part of our special day! Although we live out of state, we will continue to use her for all of our photography needs. Good luck to all of you planning your special day! -
User2271901 Sent on 08/15/2015My husband and I were beyond elated with all of Melissa's services. This was our first time having professional photography done since we had senior pictures, so we were both going to be nervous in front of the camera. Melissa took our breath away within minutes of meeting her, and our engagement shoot was proof that she was the perfect fit for us! She traveled to Milwaukee for our engagement shoot and the wedding, even though she is based in Appleton. The photos were edited and given to us within two months of the wedding, and the shots were all gorgeous! Her assistant Emilie came with the day of the wedding, and we could not be happier with the two of them and how they worked together to capture everything! Highly recommend, a stellar job done!!! -
User1156960 Sent on 05/08/2013Melissa was wonderful. She has a very easy-going, laid back personality which is exactly what we wanted in a photographer. She was easy to work with and had a lot of good ideas. She listened to what we wanted and worked off of our "shot" list to make sure we got all of the pictures we wanted. She uploaded a "sneak-peak" of our pictures to her facebook page the day after our wedding. The 26 she uploaded were STUNNING! We loved all of them and can't wait to see the rest! -
User2504022 Sent on 01/13/2016Melissa was excellent to work with! She was super funny and down to earth. It was very easy to build a friendship and make the wedding process even better. The initial consult was done at her house and really took the time to hear our love story and get to know us. Melissa listened to all the details of our relationship and made sure we all had the same expectations. I also made sure to give her a list of required family pictures and special pictures & she was more than willing to accommodate those requests. Melissa's prices are a bit more than other photographers in the area...but sooooo worth the splurge. The day of our wedding, she was early and professionally dressed. She made sure we were relaxed and laughing & she even struck up conversations with our guests!!! Melissa is not afraid to try several poses/backgrounds to get the perfect shot nor did she make herself the center of attention. She is the best photographer I could have imagined. She posted same day sneak peeks and we couldn't be happier. We are beyond anxious to get the remainder of our photographs back!

She is very easy going and flexible and fun to work with! I would recommend Melissa Alderton Photography to anyone looking for a great photographer with quality pictures and a great value.
