She’s absolutely amazing!
From the very first time I reached out to Melaney, she was incredible. As someone coming from out of state, finding the right photographer and coordinating my vision was pretty stressful. But Melaney made everything so easy. I found her work on social media, and her style was simply stunning.
I wanted to include personal elements like Kobe murals in my photoshoot, and Melaney was incredibly flexible. She even agreed to split the session into three parts: one day for the courthouse and murals, another early morning at Griffith Observatory, and then she joined us for an intimate ceremony with family and close friends.
My family couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful Melaney was—so friendly, welcoming, and patient. She made us all feel completely at ease and handled everything with such grace. Her professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional.
Seeing the preview photos left me speechless. They perfectly capture the essence of our special moments, and I can’t wait to see the full collection. If we’re ever back in the area, I’d love to work with Melaney again. For anyone searching for an amazing, talented photographer who truly understands and brings your vision to life, I can’t recommend her highly enough. -

Beyond amazing
She spent a generous amount of time with us in order to get so many amazing shots, she made it so easy and made the experience stress free and comfortable. I was 9 months pregnant and to make me feel relaxed especially during covid is hard and she managed to due so. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking and am looking forward to using her again. -

Melaney was AMAZING to work with for our engagement photos! We're slow pokes at this planning thing, so when I saw Melaney's special for photos, we jumped on the chance. Corresponding with her was super easy, and if I had any questions for her, she responded right away. The experience itself was incredibly smooth. My fiance was worried as he's not the most fond of taking photos, but she made us look so good! We laughed a lot, had fun, and she made us feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera pretty quickly. When I got my pictures in my email, I basically screamed out of excitement. I couldn't find a photo I disliked. What I love is not just the framing and the direction she gave, but the moments that she caught in between, moments that I thought were too fast to catch. I highly recommend working with her! -

My fiancé and I used Melaney for engagement photos after our first session with another photographer. I found Melaney through a brides and vendor group and I instantly loved her work I had seen. She was responsive with emails and then via text as the date of our session became closer. Melaney is such a cool, friendly person! My fiancé and I meshed well with her and she made us feel so comfortable, not awkward at all, and had us cracking up!! She gave us some great ideas for poses and suggested such a great location. She also let us see the pockets after she would shoot to make sure we liked what she was shooting.
I can’t recommend Melaney enough! -

Melaney was recommended to me by friends who had their engagement photos taken by Melaney. I had seen their photos and loved them. I reached out to Melaney and she was very professional, sweet, and responsive from the start.
My fiancé and I were very nervous about taking photos since we were worried it would be awkward and uncomfortable. We were worried the pictures would look fake and staged. However, during our engagement photo shoot Melaney made us feel soo comfortable!! It was so easy to work with her! I instantly felt that I was with a friend rather than a stranger. Melaney had amazing tips and tricks to get us to genuinely have fun which in turn made our photos look very natural and she was able to capture true moments of joy between my fiancé and I.
Melaney is funny, kind, sweet, and an amazing photographer!! I would recommend her to all my friends and family! And actually by the end of our engagement shoot we decided we wanted to book her for a second engagement photo shoot and as our wedding Photographer! -

Engagement Shoot
Melaney is fantastic!!
My fiancé and I found Melaney through Instagram and were immediately attracted by her photography style. We wanted light and airy for our photographs and that is what Melaney is all about!
She has a lot of experience and it shows. My fiancé and I had the chance to meet her in person back in January. I wanted to meet my potential vendors in person to see how we vibe and we absolutely did. Melaney is sweet and passionate about what she does!
We did our engagement shoot with her a few weeks ago. She has an amazingly quick turnaround with the final photos. On the day of our engagement shoot, she made sure my fiancé and I were comfortable since we've never done a photoshoot before! Melaney made us laugh and shot a huge variety of poses, which gives us so many options to choose from whenever we decide to create Save the Dates! Another amazing thing about Melaney is that she likes to collaborate with her clients. Throughout the photoshoot, she made sure to ask if my fiancé and I had particular poses we had in mind. It was wild how good she made us look! It was magic!!
If you are looking for a hard-working, passionate, funny, and kind photographer, you found her! She also does so much more than weddings. Her maternity and fashion photos are beautiful too!

We hired Melaney for our wedding in May this year, so far with the Engagement session we are truly happy with her work and with her in general. She is super sweet and was very flexible with our change of location for the engagement session. She understood that it was important for me to have my pets in the pictures. We got so many compliments on the quality of the pictures and we are definitely looking forward to working with her on our wedding day. I seriously can not wait to see the finish product on those. She will definitely be my go to photographer from now on. -

My fiance and I worked with Melaney this past May for our engagement photos. She was very professional and easy to work with. In planning the shoot, Melaney provided ideas regarding photo shoot locations, attire, etc but was also very open to our own. We expressed interest in incorporating our vintage VW bug and she was happy to oblige. We decided to shoot on a Friday late afternoon at Elysian Park in Los Angeles. It was our first time meeting and she arrived on time and was very friendly and easy to talk to. In 2 hours, we made 4 stops across 3 different locations within the park. Though she had offered a wardrobe change, I stuck to one outfit. We had in mind some shots we wanted, including several along a stretch of road with beautiful palm trees and a few posed shots on the "hidden swing." The hidden swing turned out to be located on a steep cliff that was quite the hike but Melaney was a good sport about making the climb with her equipment in tow. While the swing photos turned out just fine, Melaney's photographer's eye won out as she scouted a few other spots in that area that gave us amazing photos. After the shoot, Melaney provided several sneak peaks while she edited the full set of images. She provided the full set via an online gallery and they were all so amazing! We were so thrilled, we ended up using the photos on our wedding website and our invitations. We will also be using for our wedding day guest book. Overall, I would highly recommend Melaney to anyone who is in need of engagement or wedding photography. -

This was our first time working with Melaney and she is AWESOME! We as a family have taken photos with a few different photographers and when it comes time to taking photos, even for 20 min mini sessions, my fiancé dreads it. He is just not a fan of having his photo taken but our couples session with Melaney was the first time he actually said she had a little fun. He would never say he actually enjoyed a photo shoot but this was the closest I’ll ever get to that. Melaney was professional and super easygoing. She had us laughing doing bumper cars and kissing with our teeth. She even went knee deep in jeans in the ocean to get a few shots. Most photo shoots we feel a little awkward but with Melaney it was easy and fun. And our photos turned out beautiful!
