    Meg was amazing

    Where do I start. Meg made us feel comfortable the second she walked through our door for our engagement shoot. She listened to us, was professional, and most importantly, was fun. Our guests commented on how warm and friendly she was at the wedding, fitting right in amongst the crowd and helping people coordinate their own photos plus her own. The few shots I've seen so far are absolutely breathtaking and capture the feel and vibe of our day perfectly. I could not recommend Meg more! Not only is she an unbelievably talented photographer, she is also a really wonderful person!!

    Choosing Meg as our wedding photographer was the best decision we could have made! We met in the most random of circumstances (a story for another day), and I am so thankful that we did. From the beginning, she has been like a friend to us, while also providing us with a professional service. I think there is a fine line between the two, and she balances it perfectly. Feeling comfortable with your wedding photographer is one of the number one things we learned throughout the planning process; after all, you're with them throughout the entire wedding day. She was wonderful from the start and understood that we were a little nervous about the whole "professional photo" thing. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed the whole time and we ended up having such a blast at our engagement photo shoot! The pictures turned out beautifully. From then on, every meeting we had to plan leading up to the big day was clear, organized and fun, too. Our wedding day was perfect, the photos were so fun and unique, and they turned out exactly how we hoped they would. She captured our day to a tee and when we were going through our photos, it was quite emotional as she was able to evoke the same motions we experienced the day of. The photos came in a cute package and it was extremely personalized - something that's a small detail, but we really appreciated. Meg was fun, professional, creative, hilarious, detail-oriented, and always had our back. We had a blast and would 100% recommend Meg to anyone looking for a photographer who's not only there to take photos, but to make you laugh, have even more fun than you can imagine on the best day of your life, and is your friend throughout it all. Thank you, Meg! You truly captured every special moment and we will appreciate it for the rest of our lives!

    Meg photographed our wedding in May 2015 and was a delight to work with! Since reaching out to her nine months before the wedding, Meg was responsive and helpful. She is laid-back in the best way possible and makes everyone feel at ease. She highly recommended having an engagement session, which I wasn't into, but am so glad she did--it really helped us learn how to be more natural in front of a camera and made for even better wedding pics. Not only does Meg take beautiful photographs, she also has the right personality to help make your day a success. At times you have no idea she's even there and at others, her outgoing nature really helps--especially with some of those group photos. From the minute Meg got to the venue on the day of the wedding, she went straight to work, hardly asking a thing of me, but checking in as needed. She worked her magic and made sure that we got all the shots we wanted before she ended. Overall, my husband and I would highly recommend Meg!!

    I have known Meg for a long time, so when it came to looking for a wedding photographer I knew I had to use her. If you follow her on any social media you see how involved she is in watching her clients dreams come true. She is genuinely happy and excited to be going on this journey with you. Meg is always professional, always available and she has a contagious laugh that for sure brings a smile to your face and eases the nervous butterflies on the big day. She listens to what you want and makes sure it happens. On top of being a wonderful person she is an extremely talented photographer who captures photos that will make your jaw drop. I will always have beautiful pictures to remind me of one of the best days of my life and it will always make me smile that Meg was behind the camera! I would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing experience, because that is what she brings to the table.

    It was a pleasure to work with Meg. She took our engagement and wedding photos. She was on point in making sure we got all of the shots in we were looking for without feeling rushed. Her spirit and energy made everyone feel comfortable and gave our pictures a relaxed natural feel. Can't wait to use her again. We highly recommend.

    Meg was recommended to us by newlywed customers at our restaurant in Westchester, NY. After viewing the couples' amazing photos on a cellphone, I couldn't wait to see more of Meg's work! Shortly after, we arranged a meeting with Meg to discuss details and I knew by the time she was walking out the door that we had found our wedding photographer. Super friendly, funny, passionate, and professional, we were put at ease during both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. Meg's beautiful photos will always be special to me and I highly recommend her services to everyone!

    Meg was the perfect balance of fun loving and professional. Her creative ideas were welcomed and she was open to any suggestions we had. She was so comfortable to work with, and our videographer agreed. They were both able to work well together despite never meeting each other, which I have heard is not always the case. -Oh dear, I can't imagine!
    Meg's passion for her work was evident in every shot, and she was a wonderful addition to the positivity on our special day. We got married on one of the hottest days of the summer, yet Meg was still able to get amazing shots of my husband and I, despite the sweat and heat. The angles and the lighting were perfect in every shot, and she was able to capture all of the little details from that day. I would highly recommend Meg, she was not only an exceptional photographer, but we consider her now a friend!

    We had a wonderful experience with Meg Heriot Photography! Meg brings such a fun positive energy, she instantly becomes family. Looking at her photos brings the entire event & emotions back to life. Meg was able to capture amazing moments without making us feel "aware" of the camera.     If you are looking for a great photographer look no further. Meg is truly amazing! She is a creative and talented photographer who puts thought into every photo she shoots. You aren't treated like just another client, but more like an old friend. Meg is very detail oriented and will be sure to not miss a thing. I talked with more than 10 different wedding photographers and none of them compared. I couldn't be more pleased with the job she did at our hot summer wedding. I will definitely use Meg in the future and you should too!

    Meg Heriot is a very talented photographer and model professional. Our farm wedding, with every detail carefully planned, almost didn't happen due to torrential rain. The road leading to our high-up-on-the-hill tent overlooking the farm washed away, the catering truck got stuck in the mud, and our 200+ guests had to be shuttled in cars as the buses we rented could not handle the new terrain. Throughout the chaos, near tears, and constant, immediate changes, Meg stayed calm and collected. She shot in the rain, catered to our needs and wants, and most importantly, was flexible and lacked any sense of ego. Clearly, the day was about us, not her or her vision for our day. Any "plan" we had went out the window and Meg didn't flinch. Our non-traditional dream wedding turned out to be an epic success -- the rain stopped, the sun peeked through the clouds, and steam rose beautifully off the mountains. Meg never made us feel as though we were settling with our shots. Instead, she insisted that the natural lighting was a photographer's dream. Every moment, from our engagement shoot to our rehearsal dinner, the big day, and weeks following, Meg was present, open to feedback and accommodating. She has photographed the weddings of two very close friends (I was a bridesmaid in both and can attest that Meg is consistent in her approach) and I would recommend her to anyone. As someone who has experienced many different wedding photographers, I have to say that Meg is by far, the person you want capturing all the moments of your day.

    Meg is a gifted photographer and an even more amazing human being. She brings a warmth and humor that easily makes camera jitters (if there is such a thing) melt away, revealing the specialness of the moment.     Meg is not only a great photographer she is a great person to work with. She is very creative and energetic. She was able to get some amazing photos of our big day and operated under the radar (almost as if she wasn't there), this always seems to be a difficult thing for a photographer.

    Working with Meg Heriot was a pleasure in and of itself. The experience was one of the best I have ever had. She had a way of taking something ordinary, and with her trained eye, turning it into something absolutely breathtaking. Her personality is lovely, and she had me laughing, and feeling at ease. On the best day of my life, and one of the hardest, she did her best to make sure that everything was going without a bump.

    During our wedding day, she was there helping us get through(prepared with umbrellas, props, and creativity), while also capturing every special moment. Meg has the gift of being able to see that picture perfect moment is developing, and is able to put it in a photo to treasure forever. When our wedding party came up with some really crazy photo ideas, she was not afraid. Open to many different ideas and suggestions, plus the multitude of her own, made for amazing moments caught on film.

    I have already referred Meg to a few upcoming brides that I know, and I can tell you- She is one of the best! Believe it or not, the investment in a good photographer is one of the most crucial parts of your wedding. You will regret not using someone who has many years of experience, and natural talent.

    Meg Heriot is by far, the best wedding photographer around. I was completely blown away by her pictures. She has a wonderful balance of being completely professional and laid back, while delivering top notch service. She drove down from Massachusetts to shoot my wedding on October 8, 2011 in Hackettstown, NJ. She made me feel completely relaxed and made my day more special than I could have ever dreamed. We planned a bride only shoot before the ceremony, then my bridesmaids joined in. It really gave me peace of mind and allowed me to take a deep breath before walking down the aisle to meet my future husband! She will do anything you ask - and takes what you want and makes it into a greater vision. She has a very artistic eye and can make any shot look amazing. She will stage situations to get the shots you want, but will never force a shot or fake a situation that would make you feel uncomfortable. She helps to create the memories, not mimic them! She's funny, kind and incredibly talented. You will not be disappointed! Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.

    I have used Meg Heriot on several occasions the first of which was our wedding. I found her flexible yet professional. Her work was outstanding, she captured the best parts of our day and was able to bring out the best side of me when I didn't feel like I could perform on cue.

    I highly recommend Meg for all your family photography needs. Quality and value is beyond my hopes and dreams.

    Meg was a dream come true!

    I don't know how I can possibly put into words how much we love Meg. My husband works in film and is veryyy picky about photographers. Once we decided to get married in Rhode Island, it was difficult to find a photographer who met his very high expectations. But once I found Meg through photos she had done at our venue, we both FELL IN LOVE with her style. And then we fell in love with her as a person. She was so even-keeled, patient, chill, and positive right from the very start, which put as at ease and made us immediately comfortable with her, right from the first call. My husband really wanted some film photography, in addition to digital, and they got to nerd out together on how much they love film, and she fully rose to the challenge! She drove to our apartment in Brooklyn in pouring rain for over four hours for a short engagement shoot and took the most beautiful pictures of us in our apartment with our pup and captured us at our most comfortable, which made us even more excited for the weekend. When we struggled to find a videographer that we liked, she stepped up, playing double duty and finding a fantastic second shooter and capturing all the important moments and speeches that we wanted through the eyes of someone we trusted implicitly. On the day of, she was efficient, direct, patient with our larger, unwieldy (read: unherdable cats) wedding party and got all the shots we wanted with absolute breathtaking beauty. She has such an incredible eye and unique style and I am SO excited to see the full batch of photos! I can't wait to document all our life events with Meg (if she'll have us). She was not just our photographer: she was our partner, our support system, our friend (I hope! She's so cool I wanna be friends with her forever), and we couldn't have done any of this without her. She is not just the pinnacle of amazing service and beautiful photographer: she is the true meaning of the best in the business and an absolute miracle worker. We are endlessly grateful.
