We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Meeting House on August 9, 2025. We can’t say enough great things about this place! The venue is absolutely stunning and has everything that you would want! From its beautiful decor, fireplace area, piano, custom artwork, large bar, and indoor sitting areas, there is nothing that you won’t have!
To start, Tracy and Todd (the owners) are such wonderful people who are so organized and thoughtful throughout the whole process from the moment you step in for an initial meeting all the way through the end of your wedding or event when you pick up your items! On a day of chaos, they are there every step of the way making sure your event runs seamlessly. They think of every detail!
Did I mention the food?! It is exceptional and there is nothing on their menu that isn’t prepared to perfection! We received so many compliments on the food, setup, and the venue space from our guests!
If you want your event to be a success, you should have no problem trusting and working with Tracy and Todd!

I had a fantastic experience hosting our October 2024 wedding reception at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom! From the moment we walked in for our initial consultation, the staff was welcoming and professional. They guided us through all that the venue had to offer, provided recommendations for other vendors, and were incredibly organized in planning our unique event. Thanks to their thoughtful preparation, everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day.

The venue itself is stunning—spacious with high ceilings, elegant chandeliers, and beautiful hardwood floors. The courtyard area, bar space, and fireplace seating all offered lovely spots for our guests to relax and enjoy themselves, apart from the main ballroom. The decor options are versatile, and the ambiance was perfect for our formal yet fun celebration. A great bonus was that the venue included in-house catering and a full bar—having these inclusive vendors was such a convenience! The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests were thrilled with the hors d'oeuvres and plated dinners. The food options were superb! The bar staff was attentive and made sure everyone had a drink in hand all night. Guests spent a lot of time in the bar space, having a great time!

Another standout feature was the service. The team ensured everything ran smoothly, from our entrance to the last dance. They stayed on top of every little detail, making our evening stress-free. The owners, Tracy and Todd, were especially helpful, checking in with us regularly and ensuring the timeline was adhered to. We truly felt taken care of throughout the event.

Overall, our experience with the Meeting House Grand Ballroom was absolutely wonderful, and it truly played a huge part in making our wedding day so special. Our guests continue to tell me how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed their time at our reception!

I can’t recommend this venue enough. Tracy and Todd made this whole experience so smooth. From the moments leading up to it, to the big day itself, they made themselves so accessible and approachable, and SO helpful. They helped with setup and takedown, and are there for the whole process. They are so obviously dedicated to this industry and put their couples’ needs first. We had a great experience all around! Todd and Tracy were so awesome to work with! They were helpful and responsive the entire planning process. They were a huge help on the wedding day as well! The Meeting House made our special day into a dream! Todd and Tracy are so professional and detailed it made our lives so easy on such a stressful day. If we could give 10/5 stars, we would! The ballroom provides a vintage and classic ambiance. It feels so open inside yet cozy at the same time. The food was fabulous, and the staff was attentive and so pleasant. Todd and Tracey were responsive, helpful, supportive, and were like our personal wedding planners. Our wedding was in 2020, and with all the uncertainty we had to deal with, they went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect and safe for all our guests. I would recommend the Meeting House to anyone.

I can't say enough about the Meeting House! First of all, the hall is historic and beautiful! The food was spectacular! Best food I've had at any wedding! And my guests all agreed! Todd and Tracy were great to work with. As the mother of the bride, it was such a relief that they took care of every detail! All the candles, place cards, menus, and wedding favors were dropped at the hall a few days before the reception. Everything was set up beautifully! They really are your Day of Coordinator. They kept everything running on time! Then at the end of the night, their staff cleared all the tables. They packaged everything up and told me to come on Monday to pick it up. It was so nice to not have to worry about taking anything home at the end of the night except for the gifts and the cards. My daughter and her new husband had the wedding of their dreams thanks to Todd and Tracy and their wonderful staff! We couldn't be happier! Thank you so much Todd and Tracy!!

This is seriously the BEST place to have your wedding. Todd and Tracy are so amazing and patient--they will bend over backwards for you! Plus, there's so much space and AMAZING food. Definitely recommend.

WOW. There is nothing else my husband and I could have asked for in a venue. The owners are so so so organized, knowledgeable, friendly, and accomodating. We got a TON of compliments not only on how the venue looked but the high quality service and how delicious the food was. We cannot recomendable them enough!

MHGB was absolutely AMAZING! The venue itself was stunning. The hard wood floors, fireplace, high ceilings, lighting, chandeliers, and piano made for such a beautiful evening. We also loved how easily the space could be reconfigured for different layouts to match the vibe of our wedding and reception (as we had our ceremony and reception here).

The bar and food were excellent and people were raving about how good the food was (which is no easy feat for weddings). The hors d'oeuvres even got many positive comments. Everyone from Todd and Tracy to the bartenders to the wait staff were super hospitable, helpful, and wonderful and worked together to ensure that everyone felt taken care of.

Todd and Tracy are the dream team and we could not have imagined our day going as smoothly as it did without them. They are super responsive, kind, flexible, and empathetic. It feels like you're working with family when you're in their hands. Before the wedding, they coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure everyone was in the right place at the right time and knew what they were supposed to be doing. Once we got to our day, they thought of and prepared for everything so that on our wedding day we didn't have to worry about a single thing. They even thought to have food and cake wrapped up for us for later in case we didn't get to eat during the festivities of the evening. Our wedding and reception was absolutely perfect and we have no doubt that much of that can be attributed to how thoughtful and professional Todd and Tracy were. We cannot thank Todd and Tracy enough for their role in making our day perfect!

Wow, truly amazing! Both Tracy and Todd were great to work with. The food was fabulous, I can't even count how many people commented on that. And the venue itself is just beautiful. The hardwood floors, chandeliers, piano, fireplace, and everything else just seemed to fit into the experience. And just a few days before the wedding we had a change in the wedding party but Tracy assured us that everything was ok and she would be happy to make the change for us at the last minute. I would recommend them to everyone!!!

I wish that I could give 6 stars for working with Todd and Tracy! My big day was perfect largely because of the MHGB. The people, the flexibility, the price and most of all THE FOOD. It was all incredible. I strongly encourage you to check this place out and give them a chance to wow you with their experience in this business. They helped me think of everything and made sure that my wedding night was one that I'll never forget.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Meeting House and it was a great experience! The food was excellent, the service was great, and they were accommodating. We didn't have any issues during our planning - they made some excellent recommendations for linen rentals and seemed to work great with the rest of our vendors. They diligently made sure everything was going okay during our wedding and were very attentive. Great venue, EXCELLENT FOOD, and a great value.

I don't even know where to start. Todd and Tracy were simply the best. They were always friendly and willing to accommodate us when we wanted to meet with them. They let us sample appetizers, salad dressings, and some sauces. The food was amazing!!! We went with the prime rib, and we couldn't have been happier. Everyone raved about how good the food was, and how pretty the venue was. Tracy was at our wedding the entire time, and she always kept us informed of what was going on. She made sure we were satisfied, and that we enjoyed ourselves. Tracy sent out e-mails to all of our vendors the Monday before our wedding to make sure everyone knew what to expect on the day of our wedding. Overall, we were very pleased with how our reception turned out, and we couldn't have been happier.

Choose the Meeting House was the best decision I made throughout the wedding process! Tracy and Todd truly care about your wedding day - you will not be dissapointed. They stay there the ENTIRE time to make sure everything is going smoothly, all the way till the last guest walks out the door. The venue is gorgeous so your photos will turn out amazing. Also, the food is amazing... the biggest compliment I keep getting on my wedding day is that everyone loves the food!

We had a wonderful wedding reception at the Meeting House! Tracy and Todd were very receptive to any questions and were quick to respond via email! I loved that as soon as we entered Todd had hors devours coming our way (I was definitely hungry after the ceremony and pictures, so this seemingly little detail made a huge difference)! The decorations looked stunning and everyone commented on how wonderful the food tasted!

I can not say enough great things about The Meeting House. Our wedding day was the most amazing day ever and a lot of that is owed to Todd and Tracy of The Meeting House. I still have wedding guests tell me how our wedding reception was the best one they've ever been to. From our first planning meeting to all the planning discussions we had over the year ,down to the final week of, Todd and Tracy were available and accommodating. I had a very specific vision and they did absolutely everything they could to help make that a reality. They went above and beyond to help me plan, organize and come up with ideas. Tracy even took on the task of coordinating with all my vendors the week of so I didn't have to hire a wedding planner. They were not only reception venue owners, but planners, coordinators and decorators. I couldn't believe when Tracy said she'd handle setting up all my table decorations the day of. Most venue's ask you hire a planner to come in and do that. This extra willingness to help immediately alleviated a majority of the wedding planning stress and extra costs. On the day of, they were so kind and helpful. They met the groom, myself and our wedding party before our grand entrance with food and drinks so we could enjoy some snacks that we missed by not being at our guest's cocktail hour. Throughout the night they were constantly at our side filling our drinks and making sure we didn't need anything. They were also great with the vendors, keeping everything organized and on track. And the food...OH MY GOSH, it was hands down the most incredible wedding food I've ever had. My guests are still raving about it. I wish I had time to eat more. The stuffed chicken and beef were perfectly cooked. From start to finish, I have not a single bad thing to say about Todd, Tracy or the Meeting House. Everything was beyond perfect. Thank you for giving me the fairy tale wedding I've always dreamed of!

My husband and I got married at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom this passed August 2015 and cannot say enough good things, as well as continued rave reviews from guests! Tracy and Todd and the rest of the staff at the Meeting House made the entire experience so incredibly enjoyable. From the first meeting to the final exit Tracy and Todd were - friendly, respectful, helpful, attentive, responsive and incredibly kind to say the least. They fielded phone calls, emails and many may questions from myself, and parents of the bride and groom. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding the venue was beautiful. It exceeded every expectation and with much help from the entire staff at the Meeting House my wedding was as cliche as it sounds. The best day of our lives!

The space was incredibly large and laid out in a very cool way, the high ceilings and wood floods with grand piano and fire place made it such cozy, beautiful venue for our wedding day!

I would recommend the Meeting House to anyone looking for a venue in the metro Detroit area.

Tracy and Todd are amazing. The meeting house is the most accommodating, nice, and pleasant wedding venue to work with. Their impeccable attention to detail and love of their craft really shows. The food could not have been more delicious and the drinks were spot on. This is the wedding venue to book in Metro-Detroit. We could not have asked for a better wedding and we are so happy to have the meeting house be a part of it!

The owners here are really invested in the events....it's family owned and run , and the pride they take in doing a great job
is evident. They've been very patient with my many phone questions , and very accomodating ! At the wedding itself, I
was able to totally relax and enjoy it...I knew that Tracy and Todd would handle it beautifully . Everyone raved about the
elegance of the ballroom, the food, the bar, etc. Two people attending each decided to use this venue because of the
service at the wedding. I will recommend this place to everyone I know

We had our wedding reception here and loved the entire experience! I know I'm biased but they are the BEST in terms of service, price, quality...the list could go on and on. We are still getting compliments on the service and the food. Everyone raved about the food. They were very accommodating and professional with the menu, asking if we needed dietary modifications for any guest. We had been told that they are very strict about their schedule for the event, but really they worked with us so that we could put things in the order we wanted and the schedule meant that all of our food was served quickly, warm, and without any drama.
The venue is gorgeous. From the outside you would think it is just a business building, but inside there is history, architecture, and a fun space that needs little decoration. We would definitely recommend this venue for anyone looking for event space.

We chose the Meeting House Grand Ballroom for our wedding on December 20, 2014. We can't say enough good things about it!!! Everything was perfect. Tracy and Todd were so easy to work with- they were so friendly, accommodating, and very flexible when our guest count was lower than anticipated. They included some extras (late night snacks, lower guest count, and liquor from a different bar package to help with our signature drinks) and made the entire planning process easy and stress-free. All of our guests raved about the food and drinks and continue to tell us how beautiful the venue was!! Looking at our pictures I am so happy with how everything turned out and I couldn't have asked for a better venue for our reception. It was unique, didn't feel like a typical wedding venue, and was exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend the Meeting House for anyone starting the planning process. It was by far the best decision we made!

Our daughter's wedding reception was held at The Meeting House Grand Ballroom. What a wonderful venue. From our very first visit (when checking out many reception venues), to the actual event; the staff at The Meeting House made us feel very comfortable and at ease. There was no pressure to do anything their way - they gave us ideas, and provided many options. There were so many wonderful samples when the bride and groom were choosing their menu options - and day of, oh my gosh! We heard from many guests that the food was "the BEST food they had ever had at a wedding!" Honestly, the food is awesome. A week later we are still hearing about how wonderful it was!

In addition to the awesome tasting food, the service was excellent. Both Tracy and Todd were there for the entire night - making sure all was going smoothly. The staff serving in the ballroom, as well as at the bar were friendly, highly professional and very efficient. We had guests comment to us that they were very impressed with the service. We had the "Butlered HORS D’OEUVRES " and the guests were blown away with the constant care and variety they were offered. One guest told me he had been to 2 other weddings within the past month or so, and he wanted to let us know, "our wedding had the most beautiful venue, and best food ever!"

We highly recommend this venue and wish we had more opportunities to utilize their services. It was very refreshing to work with people that were professional, but made you feel like you were the only ones that mattered at any given moment!

Incredible! It was so wonderful working with Randy, Mary & Tracy of the Meeting House Grand Ballroom. The ballroom is absolutely beautiful & the food was AWESOME. Nothing is worse than bad wedding food, so we were super happy with how everything turned out. We've had so many of our guests compliment the wedding by telling us that it was the best wedding food they've had! The staff all always available to answer any questions & work with you to achieve your vision for your big day. From seating charts to the day-of schedule, I always felt like someone was working to make sure that everything went perfect. We are beyond happy with having our wedding at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom!

Meeting House was amazing! It's been three weeks since my wedding, and people are still telling me how great the food was, how beautiful the room was, etc. Randy and Mary are wonderful people.

My husband and I had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom on October 13, 2013. We had a perfect day thanks to Mary and Randy. They are extremely organized during the planning process and they are hands-on during the wedding. They think about little touches that other venues wouldn’t notice and go above and beyond for their clients. I had people coming up to me all night raving about how great the food was and how excellent the service was. If I could do my wedding all over again, I would choose the Meeting House every time. I can’t say enough positive things about them!

Our experience was AMAZING! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Randy and Mary were so easy to work with and extremely knowledgable on the wedding industry. They helped to keep us organized and prepared us for everything (down to the little details ). They were both there the night of the wedding. I even saw them pouring champagne and serving guests. I truly feel that they provide a level of service that is rare in this day and age. The venue is beautiful and unique, needing very little additional decor. Guests complimented us on food, service, and overall character of the venue. I couldn't imagine celebrating anywhere else, it truly is the perfect place to host a wedding!

The Meeting House Grand Ballroom was wonderful .....it was truly a fairytale wedding. The food was outstanding every guest couldn't say enough wonderful things about the food. I had guests tell me it was the best "wedding food" they had ever had" The servers were professional, attentive and extremely polite. The owners were so attentive to every need the groom or I had plus our guest. They definitely made our a wedding a night to remember!!!

I loved my venue!!!!!!! It was such a unique space. I didn't feel like I was walking into a typical hall with no character. Mary and Randy were a delight to work with. Randy and Mary made our reception magical!! They were so organized and detailed during the planning stages, I was not surprised when our reception was flawless! Our wedding was over a month ago and we are still receiving compliments about how wonderful the food was! Everything from the Prime Rib Carving Station to the Mac and Cheese was out of this world!! Randy and Mary didn't lose sight of us all night, always making sure to get us anything that we may need.

My husband and I absolutely loved the Meeting House Grand Ballroom, as did all of our guests. I was initially drawn to its elegant, vintage appearance with the crystal chandeliers, hardwood floor and cathedral ceilings. The layout is fantastic, with a separate bar area, cocktail area and fireplace area for gatherings. The baby grand piano is a nice touch as well.

The food here is just amazing! The portions are very large and although I've heard many great things about the food, it was much better than my wildest dreams. We had guests rave about the food and appetizers as well.

Everyone in attendance also mentioned how great the service was. The staff was so helpful and professional. Randy and Mary, the owners, are fabulous to work with. They are very organized and on the ball like no vendor I've ever seen. They are the ideal people to work with for your wedding. I was very impressed with them. I really liked the fact that they attend the weddings instead of a staff supervisor that doesn't know all the details of the wedding. They kept our wedding going smoothly and on-time. All throughout the planning process, they give tricks and tips to help you and materials to plan your reception. So many things are included in the price - which is extremely helpful (e.g. birdcage for cards, table numbers, linens, decorations, etc.).

I highly recommend this venue. If I had to do my wedding all over again, I would without a doubt still have picked this venue.

Absolutely AMAZING!! Mary and Randy are wonderful people that have the best reception hall! The food was delicious, the service was top notch, and the hall itself was gorgeous! This venue was provided a wonderful wedding reception for our daughter and son-in-law. Randy & Mary, the proprietors, were wonderful to work with. They responded to our inquiries on a timely basis; they were professional at all times. The venue itself was beautifully decorated in the seasonal theme which helped defray floral costs of the reception. The food was delicious, was served hot, and we received many, many compliments on the appetizers as well as the wedding dinner. Because our daughter was marrying a military man we were unable to plan the wedding far in advance; Mary and Randy were understanding and very easy to work with. I would recommend the Meeting House Grand Ballroom to anyone in southeastern Michigan as a venue for a wedding reception. We are so pleased with how wonderful our daughters' special day turned out. The food, the atmosphere, the beauty of the ballroom, the coordination of all the vendors made a special day in our lives even more grand. Thank you Randy, Mary and Meeting House employees!

Meeting House Grand Ballroom is the tops! Randy and Mary could not have been more accommodating and helpful during the planning stages. The food was delicious and the mini fajita cones and shrimp spoons were great choices for appetizers. The ballroom has a character all its own. The high cieling and chandeliers really made us feel like we were in a ballroom, not a country club. All of us would HIGHLY recommend this venue to our friends and family. Excellent service. It was more than we could have ever hoped for. Thanks to all the staff.

The food was DELICIOUS. The service was impecalbe. The place is beautiful.

Randy is great to work with. Plymouth booked a last minute festival that caused a little bit of a headache for both us and the Meeting House...but Randy and his team were great. They made sure out guests had parking and they put up signage at all the detours to make sure our guests made it to their location. He even went to the city of Plymouth on our behalf to express our "displeasure".

Not only that, but the food. WOW. We chose kilebasa and saur kraut as one dish....and our Polish family loved it.

Randy and Mary were so helpful with everything! They were very reasonably priced compared to everyone else with everything that was included. They made our wedding day more than we ever expected! They were always around during the entire night making sure everything was going well and always asking if we needed anything (not in an annoying or obtrusive way). The food was amazing and I still here compliments from my guests! (If only I could have eaten more!) The hall is gorgeous and the owners are wonderful! Highly recommend! A++++++++++

While the outside of the building looks somewhat plain, the reception area is absolutely beautiful! High ceilings, hardwood floors, very tasteful decor, a fireplace and piano... it was gorgeous. Randy and Mary were incredibly helpful in planning and a real pleasure to work with. The reception was handled very professionally, and we could not believe how attentive and friendly the waitstaff was. The food was delicious - easily the best wedding food I've ever eaten. Everyone was raving about the food for months! We got married on a Friday, and you couldn't beat the price. Much more affordable than comparable places in the area, and they offer much better, more complete service. We highly recommend it to everyone!

Not only is this a beautiful ballroom, but their communication during planning was also incredible. Tracey and Todd treat customers so well, always willing to work with us as a bride and groom even when there was confusion. VERY professional. The one tip I would like to give is the waitstaff and bartenders were not all as friendly as we would have liked. The bartender did not let our friends get drinks for us (the bride and groom). However, the two servers that worked with us and assigned to us as the bride and groom were so sweet and friendly! They also were very flexible with decorations that we really wanted there. Tracy and Todd know what they are doing!

I could not recommend The Meeting House more highly for any couples getting married! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and Mary and Randy worked hard to make our wedding reception magical. We were extremely satisfied with our experience.

Beautiful location in downtown Plymouth! The food was EXCELLENT (and so was the champagne). We had our ceremony at the Penn Theatre (right across the park) so the Meeting House was a perfect location for our reception. The service the day of was outstanding (I swear Randy followed me around with a bottle of Champagne ready to fill my glass all night). Their operation is a well oiled machine. Everything went smoothly - and if it didn't - I didn't know about it. Excellent!

The Meeeting House Grand Ballroom is the ABSOLUTE best place to have your wedding reception!! Randy and Mary are beyond amazing and so attentive to every detail of special day. They answered all of my questions any time of day. The food was the best! 5 star quality food! Every single one of my guest commented and still comment to this day about the food. All of them said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding :) I was treated like a queen, even got served with white gloves!! The venue is ablsolutely gorgeous and Randy and Mary go out of thier to help set up and tear down. I would reccomend this place over and over again! Definetly a part of my big day I will never forget!!!

We had our reception here, and it was wonderful! The whole reception was beautiful. Randy and Mary are so organized, and they've been doing this long enough to know exactly what you need even before you do.
The food was incredible. All of our guests said so, and everything we ate was wonderful. The beef tenderloin is so good, and I really loved the spiced apple and brie appetizer.
We had a lot of last minute changes to our guest list (and as a result, our table arrangements), and they just rolled with it.
Highly, highly recommended.

We had our reception at the Meeting House this July and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. The hall is beautiful with high ceilings, wood floors, and a fun balcony for the bride to toss her bouquet. The owners were very helpful and offered many great suggestions for organizing our reception. The food tasted great, and they had many choices for us to choose from. I highly recommend the pulled pork lava tube appetizer. They are served on a platter with dry ice to create a fun smoky effect that our guests loved.
Meeting House is less expensive than most other ballrooms in the area, so brides can enjoy more perks for their money (add appetizers, an after dinner snack, or more money towards your dress, flowers, etc).
Perhaps the best part is that you are the only wedding in the venue. No bride wants to run into another bride on her big day!

The Meeting House was wonderful! I had a blast at my reception and didn't want it to end. It is a beautiful place and Randy and Mary really took care of us. Every detail was attended to and we had a fun reception with great food and drinks. All of my friends kept saying how "elegant" and "grand" the reception was. A perfect dance floor too with lots of room.

There are not enough positive adjectives to describe the wonderful experience we had at the Meeting House Grand Ballroom Christmas weekend, 2014 for our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding. It was absolutely everything we had hoped for because of
The Food:
Everyone raved about the quality of the food, the huge portions (even the men were happy) and the fact that all meals were hot when they were served. We had the beef and stuffed chicken combination along with the salmon. The Meeting House also offers vegetarian meals and takes care of their guests' special dietary needs. Each meal is beautifully garnished as well. The chef is fabulous! Plus, the appetizers were incredible. Our guests loved the stations and the buttered hors d'oeuvres that were served on cute little spoons. Very impressive!
The service:
The wait staff wears tuxes and white gloves and couldn't be more polite and attentive. There are plenty of waiters for every table which makes all guests feel special. The bar does not close down during dinner because the Meeting House provides a separate bar staff from those who serve the food and appetizers.
The decor:
The wood floors, chandeliers, moldings and medallions on the walls and ceiling height make for a very grand event. So many people commented that it was nice NOT to be in the typical hotel or banquet center. The atmosphere is wonderful.
The room layout:
Having separate rooms for the bar and extra seating is nice for pictures and older people who want to chat and get away from the music. We had a very large wedding and never felt like any of the rooms were uncomfortably tight.
The attention to detail:
Todd and Tracy were very accommodating to our extra requests and could not have been nicer to us. From the moment we walked in the door for our initial tour, we knew they were going to take care of us.

I'm amazed at how many services were provided, with such a low cost. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the food was great, and best of all, they saved me from about 1000 details that I would have otherwise had to deal with. Tablecloth length? Who cares! They took care of it.

They did not seem very flexible or willing to accommadate some of our requests in the beginning, but after a little more discussion and come the day of the event, they were very accomodating.
Temperature was too cold during cocktail hour, even when many requested it changed.
Lots of compliments on the old "charm" of the place and verry good food!! :)
