When we first started planning our wedding, the only thing we knew for sure was that we wanted food everyone would talk about. Another priority was having vegetarian options that went beyond just pasta or cauliflower steaks.
Chef Angelo, and the whole team at Modern Fusion, completely blew our expectations away.
From the moment we first reached out, he was responsive, collaborative, and patient in answering all the questions we threw at him.
When it came time to plan our menu, he worked with us to adjust their dishes to suit our (somewhat picky) tastes.
“Can this be made vegetarian?”
“Can you make sure there are no nuts in anything?”
“Can this dish be made a little less spicy?”
Whatever we needed, Angelo assured us they could make it happen.
We also threw out an idea that more or less combined two dishes. He was not only eager to accommodate our request, he seemed just as excited at the idea of the dish as we were.
These early interactions went a long way in putting us at ease throughout the planning process.
Then we had our tasting. Every single thing we had was so good that we were worried we were going to be disappointed come the wedding day. We thought, “There’s no way they’re going to be able to make everything *that* good for 100+ people!”
We were so very, very wrong.
Did the first guest we saw at cocktail hour say, “Congratulations!” or “Let’s take a picture?” No, I’m pretty sure they said “This food is so good, I’m already on my third empanada.” Which was exactly what we wanted to hear. And we continued to hear comments like that all night long.
From the moment we reached out straight through to the end of the reception, Chef Angelo and his staff went above and beyond in every way imaginable. The day could not have gone better and we owe so much of that to them. Now I’m just trying to think up other occasions we could have catered so I can eat more of their incredible food.

Further musings and diving into some menu items:
We’re incredibly glad we went with a buffet instead of a plated dinner. All of the menu options were truly so so good that it would’ve been a shame for our guests not to be able to try everything they wanted.
Cocktail Hour
Mezze Platter
This felt like a staple we should have but we honestly didn’t have any expectations for it. With that in mind, we were shocked, and happy, when guests talked about how good the platter was.
Vegetable Dumplings
The wrappers were so tender, the filling perfectly cooked. They had great flavor, a delicious, light coconut sauce drizzled over top, and they were beautifully presented. A favorite of the dishes we had. I’d like to be eating many of these right now.
Roasted Mango Chicken Skewers
Simple and delicious. No matter how many I had, the chicken was consistently perfectly cooked. Never dry. Always flavorful. Fantastic
Roasted Sweet Potato and Black Bean Empanadas
My wife aside, these were the belle of the ball. Guest after guest raved about them, and rightfully so. This was the dish we worked with Angelo to create. We dreamed about eating them for over a year. When we took our first bites, they were so much better than we even hoped they’d be. Hopefully he adds these to their regular offerings because every event should have them on the menu.
Dinner
Jamaican Chicken Curry
The sauce was so rich and flavorful. To cater to our audience, we had Angelo turn the heat down just a tad and it didn't take away from how delicious it was.
Beef Short Ribs Crem Poivre
Honestly, it’s not the prettiest looking dish. But it tastes so good that that doesn’t matter. The sauce is packed with a smooth symphony of flavor and tastes wonderful with the tender, melt-in-your-mouth short ribs.
Tri-Colored Tortellini Vodka (Vegetarian)
We last-minute changed from a different pasta dish to this one. We were worried that tortellini+vodka sauce might be heavy but were so happy once we tried it. The pasta itself, like the dumplings, was so tender, and the sauce was creamy without weighing you down. It was a total crowd-pleaser.
Even the sides got a lot of love from our guests (Vegetable Fried Coconut Rice, Caribbean Tropic Salad, & Chargrilled Asparagus) -

We got married in a tented, backyard wedding on June 15. We worked with Angelo for a menu unique to our tastes as a couple. We wanted our early dating days to be reflected in our menu: Pizza and our favorite Italian dishes. Angelo was very supportive during the planning process and great at suggesting items and wine pairings. Our wedding day was very successful! After 2 months, we still hear how awesome our food was and how interesting it was to watch Angelo create everyone’s personal pizzas. Our gluten free guests were grateful they were able to partake in the menu as well. Angelo’s staff at the pizza tent, our buffet and the bartender were all delightful to our guests. Kudos to Angelo and his staff. Thanks so much for making our wedding dinner delicious!

Chef Angelo and the entire Modern Fusion Catering staff were absolutely amazing!! We used them for our wedding and they far exceeded our expectation for communication, professionalism and the most amazing passed hor devours and plated dinners ever!! You may think I'm crazy but give them a try and you won't be disappointed! -

I cannot recommend Chef Angelo enough, he was incredible to work with! I have severe food allergies and it was really important to have the meal for our wedding be something I could eat. He worked with us to develop a creative, delicious menu that did not contain any of my allergens which was a dream come true. Chef Angelo answered all of my questions and was able to reassure me throughout the whole process starting with a food tasting. All of our guests have been raving about our wedding meal and said our food was the best they have had! Not only did I feel comfortable but could eat everything on the menu which was so special and I will forever remember. I highly recommend Modern Fusion catering and his tostadas are to die for!! -

We were so happy with this caterer. The food was delicious and everything was provided as promised. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was that we ordered wings as an appetizer and we didn't get that many. They were gone in 15 minutes so many of our guests (and us) didn't get any....so if you are looking at this as an option just make sure to mention that. Other than that everything was perfect and we would recommend. -

I cannot say enough amazing things about Angelo with Modern Fusion Catering. I was very worried that we would not be able to find someone who would be able to do a full vegan menu and impress our non-vegan guests. Well he really put my worries aside the first meeting we had with him. He kept reiterating that if we could imagine it, then he would make it happen to the best of his ability. We ended up with a mostly custom menu that was absolutely amazing. Our guests raved about the food all night and several have been telling me that they are going to try more plant based foods because they were that amazed with how good it was.
Food aside, his entire staff was incredibly professional and really made our reception a ton of fun. His bartenders were some of the best bartenders we've ever met. They seemed to be having just as much fun as we were during the reception.
Overall, we would highly recommend them. I don't think you could get anyone better than them for your wedding/party. -

Angelo and his team at Modern Fusion is one of the best catering companies in Lehigh Valley! As a fellow wedding professional, I know the importance of having a caterer that not only creates delicious food but provides all the guests with an amazing experience. Angelo and his team did both . . . and did it at such a superior level, that our guests are still raving about the food! He made every aspect of planning a truly tailored menu easy and made accomodating our family members' serious food allergies a breeze. Angelo was easy to communicate with, super supportive and blew everyone's mind with dinner and service most people don't expect for a backyard wedding. We're truly so thankful to have Angelo and his team for our wedding! -

Literally one of the best chef I have ever come in contact with! The chef is so personable and the sweetest guy we've met! I am Indian and my now husband is Puerto Rican, and chef worked so well with us by coming up with meals that can work with both cultures. He made an Indian dish for the wedding, which he had never made before and it was a hit! His appetizers, salad and sides were amazing!! His entree was absolutely delicious. His cannolis were fabulous! I would definitely recommend this caterer. -

Delicious food and amazing people
Thank goodness for Modern Fusion Catering! One bite of an appetizer during our tasting and we were sold. We would’ve been happy with your traditional wedding menu—a steak or chicken, but hoped for a more eclectic menu bursting with more flavor and Angelo 1000% delivered. Presentation is amazing, so responsive, delicious food with options outside the traditional chicken and steak (although I’m sure he makes those well too!) We hired Angelo’s team for our rehearsal dinner for 90+ people (live brick oven pizza pies), for our wedding (buffet style), and wedding after party (delicious party food).
Angelo is an amazing chef, but also so wonderful to work with before and during the wedding—accommodating, friendly, fun, and professional. -

Perfect for Weddings, Events, & Celebrations!
Working with Angelo at Modern! Fusion for our Wedding last September was such a fun and enjoyable experience. He worked with us to not only to choose our food but also formulate such a natural flow in the schedule of our wedding day. We got married at our home and literally built and designed everything from the ground up. Angelo and his incredible team cooked for 240 guests inclusive of passed hors d'oeuvres, three course dinner, and late night brick oven pizza by building a mobile kitchen on our property. The food was INCREDIBLE and his energy was so contagious we just loved working with him from the first time we met him through til our big day. -

Angelo and his staff were wonderful from the very first meeting, to every message sent up until and including the wedding day! Everything was perfect and gorgeous and the food was simply delicious! Each team member had a beautiful ready smile and did absolutely everything that we needed and more!! Choosing Modern Fusion was definitely one of my best decisions and I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a catering need!! -

Modern Fusion! Catering exceeded our expectations from the very beginning. We looked through about 8-10 different caterers and were disappointed in both the menu options and pricing. There was nothing that compared to Modern Fusion’s diversified menu, price point, and quality that chef Angelo exemplified. He was very accommodating as he met us halfway between Bangor and Philadelphia for our initial consultation. Together we crafted a menu that we were excited for and built it around a budget that was more than affordable. He even crafted a special plate from our menu to accommodate one of our guests that had special dietary needs, and personally sought out that guest on the wedding day to ensure their plate met their needs. Angelo made himself available throughout the entire process, checked-in with us when necessary, and the test taste just confirmed our confidence in him. As for our wedding day, Angelo and his team were super-efficient and well-prepared the day of. Our table settings looked great even with doing a buffet. They had a small bread plate with napkin folded in a way that filled the table space beautifully. With doing a buffet, they had staff plating each station which left the plates coming out looking just as if it were a plated meal. My wife and I got a large plate delivered to our head table right as dinner was announced. We had a sample of everything being served. The gesture was much appreciated. The whole night people raved about the food and still do. We frequently hear that “this was the best food we have ever had at a wedding,” and although maybe biased, we totally agree. We are forever grateful for Angelo and his professional team. We never had to think twice about our caterer. They were veterans, had everything under control from the moment they arrived until they left, and provided everything necessary for a complete dining experience. We cannot speak highly enough of both Angelo and his staff for their wonderful dining experience and professionalism. Thank you! -

We are having Angelo cater our wedding and have sampled some of our menu and it is amazing! He can do the classic meals but he has such a elaborate menu it can be crazy and fun too. We are so excited to have him for our wedding! You will not be disappointed -

I met them at a bridal show and their food is absolutely amazing. If my venue allowed outside food, I would have chosen them to cater the event.
