Meagan and Alley did an absolutely amazing job photographing our wedding! Meagan was responsive and professional throughout the whole process. We had never had our pictures taken professionally as a couple before but on the day of the wedding they made us feel relaxed and comfortable and we had so much fun with them. They played us music and made us laugh the whole time. Nothing about it was awkward at all and the final photos were beyond what I ever could have imagined. They were natural, candid, fun and cute. They truly captured our love for each other. Our wedding was five months ago and I still look through them on a daily basis and it brings me right back to those special moments. -

Meagan was everything we wanted in a wedding day photographer. I reached out and spoke to countless photographers before landing on booking Meagan. She offered everything I was looking for, at a fair price and her editing skills were amazing. We had multiple calls leading up to our wedding day and she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. We had a tight timeline and she spent a while helping work it out down to the minute. We worked and re-worked the timeline and she was happy to update and offer input. The day would not have run so smoothly without all her help.
On the day of the wedding we had Meagan and her second shooter, Alex. Both were fantastic. They joked and made us feel relaxed and in our element. She had a shot list and remembered all of the tiny details we requested. She moved fast but didn’t rush it. She knew how important it was that we got to be present during our day. After the wedding, we received around 70 (!!) sneak peak photos a few days after our wedding, it was a great surprise email to receive during our honeymoon. Each picture was phenomenal- I honestly would have been happy if those were all the photos we received. A few months later we received all the final products and she even made us a little slideshow of the pictures! She captured the true emotion of the day, all the details, and all the fun. I’ve looked at the pictures and slideshow countless times. I cannot decide on what pictures I like best, they are all so great and special. My family and friends can’t get over them either. Please book Meagan for your special occasions, she is a great person, super helpful and produces gorgeous work that will blow you away. I hope we cross paths again!

Meagan is an incredibly talented photographer and an amazing person! I hired Meagan in 2009 to take 1st birthday baby photographs for a friend and they were absolutely beautiful. We went to the waterfront in Burlington and Meagan captured so many adorable photographs of my friend’s baby. I have followed Meagan’s photography ever since and contacted her again in 2018 to get engagement photos done. She came to our home and captured so many perfect images - including ones of my husband and I with our two little (very crazy) dogs! They were not easy to work with but Meagan shot some of the best photos, no problem. She is so calm and patient! When my husband and I were prioritizing our wedding expenses and vendors, photography was top of the list. We knew we wanted to work with Meagan and selected a 2019 date that she was available. Meagan was very helpful throughout all of the planning. She checked in at the appropriate times and when we were too overwhelmed to get our list of photographs we wanted together, she made a draft which we ended up using. Meagan uses a second photographer for weddings which eased my worries about how to get images of both the ladies and gentlemen getting ready and also both views of the wedding aisle. She selected another talented and personable photographer to work with her for our wedding day. The two of them were a great team and we felt very comfortable and were able to be ourselves with them. My husband and I were of course anxious to see the photos after the wedding as the day flew by and we couldn’t wait to reminisce. Meagan sent us some “sneak peeks” days later! My husband and I are so pleased with our wedding photographs. Meagan and her partner captured all of the little details and the love and joy in all of the images. We love the variety of posed photos and candids of family and friends from before the ceremony all the way through until the sparkler sendoff! We have ordered some prints from Meagan and the quality is remarkable - so much better than the ones we had printed ourselves. Here we are, almost a whole year later and just now writing our review - honestly, I have been saving the best for last because I knew it would be difficult to not to write a book about how wonderful Meagan Emilia Photography is! -

We were so lucky to find meagan
We literally hit the jackpot with Meagan! When we look back at the entire experience, Meagan immediately comes to mind as the best decision we made. We were SO lucky to find her and even luckier today to say she’s our friend. Her work is absolutely breathtaking – flawless beauty that truly captures the rawness of every emotion. Her pictures still make me cry and it’s already been close to a year.
On top of that, she is A DREAM to work with. I remember feeling SO nervous during our engagement shoot, but she completely put my husband and me at ease—she made us feel comfortable, and in no time, she even had us laughing. She is SO chill and SO sweet, but also super professional. She knows the best locations, best angles, best lightening. She has a vision, she knows what she wants, and I promise you, you’ll love it!
Meagan is also extremely accommodating and open to what YOU want. I had a vision of a rocky coastline in my head and she 100% brought it to life. She gave us suggestions as to where I could find the perfect spot and even edited our “day of” timeline just to make sure we got our dream shot despite knowing it would make things a little extra hectic the day of. She was all about whatever made us happy and because of that, we are glowing in our pictures. She didn’t miss a beat during the entire wedding—she was everywhere without us noticing and caught moments we didn’t even know happened ourselves. She totally went with the flow, but also kept us on track (who knew that was possible?) and made sure we got all the shots we wanted.
You guys would be LUCKY to have Meagan. I can’t even explain the reactions from our friends and families over our photos. Everyone was in complete awe. We totally fell in love with Meagan AND her work and I know you will too! The only thing that makes me sad is that we don’t have any more sessions booked with her! Bring on that pregnancy shoot..... :) -

Meagan Emilia was the best photographer EVER! She and her team created the most perfect memories for us as well as orchestrated a completely seamless day. She knew Newport incredibly well, suggested locations for our first look and some fun shots before the ceremony, and she ran the show in a kind and caring way while also remaining assertive and in control, which we loved! She plans ahead for specific shots that the couple wants and organized the whole day from start to finish to optimize every minute of time and not have any awkward down time. She also dictated exactly what photos were taken at our request, so that family and the wedding parties knew where to be and when without anyone needing to take charge. She and her team took fantastic photos that we love and cherish and can't wait to continue loving forever! She is talented, thoughtful, thorough, energetic, and genuine - someone every bride and groom would be lucky to spend their wedding day with. We trusted her fully even without an engagement or practice photo shoot, and could not have been more pleased with the results. Meagan is an all around amazing photographer, and a super cool person to boot. Can't recommend her services any higher! -

Even before getting engaged I knew I wanted Meagan to do our photos, I had been looking at her online gallery and was amazed at how she always managed to get the perfect light and capture shots that you could tell were special to each couple. She made the awkward and intimate engagement shoot fun and full of ideas and laughs. For the wedding she truly captured us as a couple, she knew what photos to take and did it all without even seeming like she was there. She kept our families in line when it came time to wrangle them in and even took us on a mid wedding adventure to go capture some of the most beautiful early sunset light. When the shooting was over for the night she joined us on the dance floor and continued to celebrate with us as a friend. She is one of the most talented people I know and I would recommend her to anyone looking to have beautifully and artfully captured photos to remind you of your best days. She won't just be there for the photos, she will become a friend for life. I know I will continue to use her for any photo opportunity I can. -

When starting to plan our wedding, I knew photography was important to me. I came across Meagan's Instagram while looking up photos taken at our venue and immediately loved her style. She was great to communicate with during the whole process and so much fun to have on the day.
I assumed the photos would be great, but was floored when she sent them. Every one is amazing. She pulled off the incredible feat of making me, my partner, and our guests look incredible, but also like ourselves. Every photo is glowing with love, fun, movement, and light. Thanks, Meagan! -

Amazing!
Meagan is incredible! We would hire her a million times over again. Neither one of us are great about our pictures being taken and we felt so comfortable with her. She was responsive, supportive, and helpful through the entire planning process. By the time our wedding day came it seemed like we had known her for years. The pictures are amazing and we will cherish them forever. Meagan’s creativity and editing are tasteful and unique and we can not recommend her highly enough. -

Meagan was the best to work with. She is so calming and authentic, which we really appreciated. Taking pictures for that long can be daunting, but we had such a good time and a lot of laughs. She has a great eye and seems to be everywhere all at once. Every time I was thinking, “this would be a great moment to capture”, Meagan was right there capturing it!! First and Best Vender I called after getting engaged!
Meagan was the absolute best decision to have as part of our special day and she was the first person I called after getting engaged to see the dates she was free to do our wedding the following year. I had been in a wedding the prior year that she did and she made the whole experience, comfortable, fun and relaxed. As you know weddings are very stressful and to have someone with her genuine, real vibe was exactly what we were looking for. We had Meagan shoot our engagement pictures, rehearsal dinner and wedding. The pictures came out incredible and it was so comfortable and easy to work with her. Absolutely wonderful photographer!!
From the moment I reached out to Meagan to photograph my wedding, she has been such a pleasure to work with! She is so professional and always available whenever I had a question to ask. Beautiful Wedding Photos
Meagan traveled for my wedding in the Rocky Mountains. I asked her specifically to come because I knew how great her work is. She was a great photographer, dealing with setbacks such as rain that left her stranded at the top of the gondola while the rehearsal happened at the base and the golf course guy shooing us out of an amazing spot and took it all in stride with a calm assurance. She is the best and we couldn’t be happier with our photos! -

Where to start... Meagan is absolutely AH-MAZ-ING. Period. Searching for a photographer wasn’t a search at all. A close friend used Meagan as her photographer for her wedding and the minute I saw the photos I immediately said “I want HER!!” There was no question! When we met her for our engagement shoot it was so natural. She’s so down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable and comfortable to be around. She has the most skilled eye for a beautiful shot. She offered so much advice and guidance throughout the planning process. When the big day came, it was like having a good friend there, and it put me at ease knowing that she’d get all the dream-worthy photos I’d seen on Pinterest and Instagram (because she rocks). One less thing to worry about for me! She and her assistant photographer were so organized with orchestrating the first look, wedding party and family photos. She has such a calm and confident presence that it’s easy to get those natural and candid shots (which are some of the best ones in my opinion). Everyone we’ve shown our photos to was absolutely floored at how gorgeous they were. The lighting is perfect, focus is perfect, everything in her photos is perfect. The photos are an absolute DREAM! All of them are magazine-worthy and just stunning. I also used Meagan for a boudoir shoot and while I was nervous at first, that quickly faded away because again, it’s like a friend being there. She’s so easy to get along with and laugh with, and that makes the entire process so much easier. The photos came out GORGEOUS (as if I’d expect anything else from her) and needless to say the hubby loved them! If you’re still looking for a photographer, stop right here. I’m 1000% confident that Meagan is the BEST wedding photographer there is, and you will not regret choosing her!! -

I don't think there is just one way to describe how amazing our experience with Meagan was. My husband had gone to school with her and mentioned me to her when we were looking for photographers. The minute I sat down and really took a look at her website I knew Meagan was who I wanted to work with. From the colors in every photo to every small detail. And I especially liked that not every photo was staged. When we met with Meagan the first time, she really took the time to let us ask as many questions that we had and took so many notes. You could tell that really cared for her client (but honestly I didn't feel like a client at all, we felt like friends). One photo that I expressed to Meagan I really wanted, was to see my husbands reaction when I walked down the aisle. I cried when I saw the ones she took of him. It was just perfect. The day of the wedding Meagan and her assistant showed up early and were ready in no time to take photos. All I can say is everything was just amazing and easy. When we got the photos recently we were hanging out with two of our best friends (who recently got engaged) and we couldn't believe how amazing each and every photo was. All I can say is thank you Meagan for making this experience just perfect. -

I do not think I have all the words to describe how incredible Meagan's photography work is, and how awesome she herself is. My husband does not love taking photos but Meagan got him comfortable enough to get the most incredible engagement and wedding photos. She captured every moment of our big day, every emotion, every detail. Friends and family cannot stop asking who our photographer was. Meagan responded promptly to every email I sent. She is professional but also knows how to have fun and be real with her couples. We could 100% be ourselves with her and just be comfortable being us. Nothing felt posed or fake. Everything was real in the moment emotions. After our engagement photos my husband even said he had fun! After the big day is said and done the one thing you have forever to relive the memories is your photos so DO NOT skimp on the budget for them. Our wedding photos are stunning and we feel so lucky to have found Meagan. SHE IS THE BEST OF THE BEST! -

She went out of her way to meet us in advance so that we could develop the right game plan for our big day! Getting to see how easy going and comfortable in her role Meagan is made being in front of the lens so much easier! She was more than willing to work with us in our, now— seemingly less popular, choice of waiting to first see each other as I made my way down the aisle! Choosing to go the traditional route, we created more of a time crunch to get the photos we wanted yet Meagan made it all so easy. Her professionalism, timeliness and skill allowed us to take in every moment of our day without worrying that we would miss something important. When we saw our final photos we were in awe, each one better than the last. Meagan made sure all of the little details we put time into were not missed and being reminded of them all through her beautiful work slowed time down for us and gave us a glimpse back to the best day of our lives. I can without a doubt say that if you were sparked by her body of work do not hesitate to reach out. You’re making one of the best decisions you could make!

Alison Sent on 04/10/2018Meagan photographed my October 2017 wedding and in one word, she was AMAZING! She was extremely responsive during our initial communications and very professional. Leading up to the wedding I had questions and she was more than helpful in responding to them. Our pre-wedding meeting helped so much in our planning and was one of the main reasons everything ran so smoothly the day of. My husband and I did not want a ton of staged/posed photos, rather looking to more capture the overall emotion of the day. Meagan understood this completely and she and her second shooter captured this perfectly. While we have our classic beautiful portraits, there are so many photos that are of us and our guests in the moment and I couldn't love them more. I have heard from several guests at my wedding that you didn't even realize she was there. She was discreet at all points of the day, but still managed to capture amazing photos.
Her delivery of the photos was very prompt and abundant, and beautifully done. I have heard nothing but amazing things about my photos and I could not agree more. They are gorgeous!
All in all I would 100% recommend Megan Emilia Photography. Her quality of work and professionalism were beyond what I expected, and I was so pleased all around. -

My fiance and I were both nervous about being center of attention for our wedding and I personally cringed at the thought of being in front of a camera all day. Meagan put all of our nerves at bay starting with our engagement shoot and made us feel calm with her easy going demeanor and beautiful spirit. She was not only attentive and organized but she knew of wonderful areas to shoot at. Her wedding checklists were super helpful to try and organize the day and maximize our time for photos and for celebration. Our wedding day was even that much more special because she was part of it and capturing all of the love, special moments and overall beautiful atmosphere and energy of the day.
I truly recommend getting a photographer for your entire day. At first, I thought I had only wanted a photographer for the big points of the day but after hearing how your wedding is more than just the big points, I opted for more time and am so thankful I did. From the getting ready to the final dance, Meagan put together such a beautiful array of memories of our day.
Meagan not only made our day amazing but she made coming home from our honeymoon just a little less depressing but having all our photos ready by the time we landed back home. It was wonderful to come home and view all of the amazing photos she took. She was truly more than just a photographer but someone we thought of as s friend, supporter and overall wonderful and genuine person. -

On the day of the wedding I had a special request- I HAD to have photos on top of a hay bale. Meagan was very accommodating and helped to make those photos come out exactly how I had imagined. My husband and I didn't have a lot of time before the wedding, and Meagan was incredibly flexible for us, and was always very responsive. We did an engagement session with her, which was very helpful to prepare us for the wedding day (plus, I love the pictures!). As the day got closer, Meagan made sure to schedule a time to speak with us and ask us all the right questions so that we were on the same page and everything went smoothly. The day of, Meagan arrived right on time and navigated the craziness of the room we were in to get all the picture of the dress, etc. and my mom helping me get dressed.
We did a first look at Beavertail, and Meagan picked a perfect spot on the rocks. The pictures are truly unbelievable. She also did an awesome job with the pre-wedding portraits. She was efficient and got all the pictures in with time to spare. Also, if you have children involved, Meagan is your gal. We had four kids, ages 5 months to 6 years, and somehow Meagan had ALL of them smiling in almost every shot. We both have big extended families, and Meagan was incredibly patient in herding people to get the family pictures done. Throughout the day and night, Meagan also made sure to gently remind us of pictures we had on our list but that we hadn't gotten to in the excitement of the day.
During the reception, Meagan seemed like she was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I'd see her out of the corner of my eye, but they were never in the way. From the pictures, its obvious they were paying attention to what was happening and capturing all the fun people were having.
And of course, the pictures are amazing. Truly more than we could have imagined. We didn't want a lot of staged photos, and Meagan really captured us in so many candid shots that show how happy we were. Also, Meagan is just a really cool and laid back person, which makes it feel like you are chatting with a friend. I would recommend Meagan to anyone! -

Erin Sent on 08/12/2017First of all, I have known Meagan since we were probably 10 years old.She's always been such a sweet and amazing individual.After college, I started to see her work at fellow classmates weddings and once I started following her on social media, I saw all the amazing work she did for anyone she came into contact with in whichever fashion.When my fiancé and I first were engaged, I started researching vendors and I knew a photographer would be one of the first vendors that we booked.I knew we wanted something different and unique, but I also knew we wanted someone who we connected with on a personal level.I found an out of state photographer, as I feel in Vermont I'd be forever comparing our photos to our friends, but I started to realize their unfamiliarity with the area, and many other variables, would be a potential problem.I started to realize that the perfect option was right under our noses.Meagan, although she had done many of our classmates weddings, was SO talented it didn't even matter. I knew she would make our day unique and capture the entirety of our vision.From the moment I contacted her again, I knew we had made the right decision. Our engagement shoot was SO fun!My, now, husband doesn't love being photographed, so we met at one of our favorite local breweries and Meagan just captured the most organic shots of "us".It was a lovely way for her to get to know what worked for us and what didn't and it was so relaxed, we almost forgot she was there!Every interaction with Meagan was a dream. It was efficient and reassuring that we made the right decision and I knew we were in good hands.Over the 13-14 months that we were contracted before our wedding day, I knew Meagan and her team were going to be 110% accountable. Sure enough, we are ECSTATIC. The review is cutting me off so I have to stop gushing, but I will end with this--when your photog makes you feel every emotion from your big day when you go through your images, you have made a priceless decision! -

I spent so much time reviewing and talking to photographers and I wish I would of just booked Meagan to begin with. One thing I learned through this process is how important is it to have a good rapport with your photographer- you spend the entire day with them as they capture some of the most intimate moments. Meagan is not only an exceptional photographer, but she put my husband and I at ease and made us feel very comfortable. When we received our photos back I was shocked and how many intimate and candid moments she captured- I didn't even realize she was taking photos of us! You would be lucky to score an open date with Meagan and work with her- she is truly so talented. -

Meagan is clearly a very gifted photographer. The way she quickly found good lighting, backdrops, and staging was so impressive. She was also super easy to have around the house while we were getting ready and having intimate moments with family. She was even better when it came time for the many, many shots with family and friends. Our guests even commented on how great she was! I highly recommend Meagan. She is super professional, easy to work with, and clearly very gifted.
