Laura was so fun to work with and I don't know what I would have done without her! She really helped me shape the vision and the vibe of my wedding. I was so appreciative of her opinions and the final product was better than I could have even imagined. She was so responsive and so pleasant to work with. I've gotten so many complements on my flowers and the décor, can't thank you enough Laura. If you are thinking of using her for your wedding you will not regret it! -

Laura did an amazing job decorating our day with gorgeous, colorful, and unique florals for our October wedding at Talega Golf Club in San Clemente. To be honest, I didn't have much knowledge of flowers or an exact vision in mind, I just knew I wanted lots of color and had a few inspiration photos on my Pintrest page with the dresses, venue, and decor I liked. Laura took my couple of photos and turned it into something more than I could have ever imagined. She also did an amazing job working within the budget we had set. She gave us creative options for repurposing flowers to use at different points from ceremony to reception and everything turned out so beautiful. I would highly recommend McKenna Floral to anyone looking to add some beautiful, unique flowers to their day. She was super responsive to any questions my mom and I had, and provided us with the best service! 10/10 would recommend! -

Laura was an absolute GEM to work with! She was so professional, flexible, and helped nail down my vision. She is seriously the sweetest person, and even sent us a little gift to thank us for choosing her as our florist. If you are looking for a florist, do yourself a favor and book her! You will not regret it.... she made my dream florals come to life for our wedding. Everyone complimented how beautiful the flowers were all night!!! -

I am a floral designer friend of Laura's who asked her to do flowers for my own micro wedding as I did not want to be both florist and bride! I gave Laura my color palette and a few ideas and that was it -- and what she created was both awe-inspiring and absolutely stunning!! Every single piece -- from my bridal bouquet (which I cried when I saw!) to the boutonnieres to our glorious arch piece and table centerpieces were beyond gorgeous. As a designer myself, I so appreciate all of those little details and textures that Laura incorporated into each and every piece. Laura is not only incredibly talented but a joy to work with and made everything perfect for us. We received SO many compliments on all of our florals and can't stop talking about how much we loved all of the flowers. Trust me -- your search for a floral designer stops right here. Laura is your girl! -

The most beautiful and elegant arrangements!
Laura Murphy creates beautiful pieces for every single wedding and event that she does. When I looked over her site when I first started wedding planning, everything she’s done completely took my breath away and I love it. I knew right from the start that I wanted her to do the florals for our wedding! She created a mood board for us right from the start and was so helpful and flexible working within my budget. I never felt pressure to spend more than I felt comfortable, and she was very honest with me up front about what different types of flowers and displays might cost. On the wedding day I was completely blown away. Our bouquets were each unique, with multiple different flowers and ferns, and the colors added so much depth and richness to our dresses and decor. Laura has this amazing skill of taking your color scheme or theme and bringing in lots of other unexpected colors and textures that truly bring everything to life and make it so elegant. The ceremony area was exactly how I had pictured it, and the reception decor exceeded all my expectations. I was able to go look at the reception before walking down the aisle, and I fully cried once I saw how beautiful it was. Thank you for bringing my dream wedding to life! -

As we reminisce about our wedding, we cannot help but smile. The entire day went so wonderfully and we couldn't have been happier!
First off, we absolutely loved each and every bouquet Laura created. In our first meeting, I told Laura I was in LOVE with a flower called anemones. Unfortunately, she informed me they were not in season during the time of our wedding. Laura (being her amazing self) went completely out of her way and surprised me with bouquets with the anemones in them!! I was in AWE. They were absolutely beautiful.
Secondly, Laura was so fun and easy to work with through the planning process. In each meeting, she radiated confidence when she spoke about her artwork. I didn't have a worry in my mind that the florals would be any less than perfect. I highly recommend Laura to anyone!! -

Laura’s floral work is out of this world! One of the main compliments I received from my wedding day was how incredibly amazing the floral arrangements were. Laura was great to work with and is quick to respond when you have questions. She has a special way in bringing beautiful texture and color to bouquets, and you will not regret having her be your florist. She completely exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for more perfect flowers on our wedding day! -

Laura is amazing at her job . detailed design board she created made easy .She really listened to my style and budget preferences, McKenna Floral. Our Wedding was beautiful, with the attention to detail of all the floral arrangements throughout the reception tables, to the gorgeous bouquets of flowers for my Bride, Maid of Honor, Brides Maids and Mothers were stunning. The boutonnieres and corsages were so elegant and beautiful. Laura and her staff were friendly, courteous and professional. Her communication was fantastic. Her and her staff worked diligently to make every aspect perfect. We highly recommend McKenna Floral for any ones Floral needs. Thank you Laura Murphy for making our Wedding Day so beautiful. -

From our very first conversation, I knew that I wanted to work with Laura. She totally got my vision, and really understood the aesthetic that I was going for. She was great about helping me to work within my budget, and come up with great options for non-traditional centerpieces. She was so receptive when I asked her to make a trial centerpiece to confirm everything that we had discussed and decided on. One thing that really impressed me was when she couldn't get a certain flower that I had requested (because they were just out of season), she preemptively emailed me to let me know as soon as she knew, rather than let me find out and be disappointed day of. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a florist! -

I never felt pressured to spend more money or change my vision. The arrangements she made were even better than I imagined! She got the colors just right to match my theme, and she added really unique flowers and greenery for texture. Even when my coordinator talked me into some last minute upgrades the week before the wedding, Laura made it happen! I would recommend McKenna Floral to any couple.

Pam Sent on 11/18/2014Laura, owner and florist of McKenna Floral, was a dream to work with. I was struggling to find a florist - had no idea where to begin - but coincidentally during my first dress fitting, my sales consultant, Katie, offered up that her aunt (Laura) is a florist in South County. I was a little unsure about selecting a florist that was a bit farther south (my venue was about 20 minutes north), but after meeting with Laura the first time, that concern went out the window.
I really didn't have a solid vision of what I wanted my centerpieces to look like, but knew I wanted something out of the ordinary, that incorporated drift wood pieces and these awesome iron table numbers I had found. Boy did Laura deliver (literally and figuratively!) I was so amazed by the final product, both for the centerpieces - she used large cylinders, filling the bottoms with flowers and air plants, and then arranged the driftwood vertically to create height, finishing off the cylinders with a ring of flowers and air plants, and hanging the iron numbers off the driftwood - beyond cool!
Not only was I so blown away by the final product of the centerpieces, the bouquets she created were stunningly beautiful - see profile pic for proof! She also went the extra mile by making smaller arrangements that found their way to the guest book table and bar area - a wonderful touch that really brought the decor together.
It was always a pleasure meeting with Laura, her ideas were so inspiring, yet she was very considerate about staying within our budget. She also was very accommodating with picking up the centerpieces the day after the wedding, which was beyond helpful as we were heading out to our honeymoon that evening.
You cannot go wrong with Laura, I highly recommend meeting with her and discussing your ideas - you won't be disappointed.
