  Words can not describe how amazing MBP catering is. Practically every guest we spoke to, meat eaters and vegetarians alike, raved about the food to us on their own volition - no exaggeration. We even received an inadvertent drunk voicemail from the groomsmen that night where we could overhear them talking about how good our food was. People were so happy to eat great tasting wedding food - which is strangely such a rarity!
  
  Even the next morning, at our brunch [also catered by MBP] I kept hearing about how good the food was. Our menu: fried chicken, short ribs with peach bourbon sauce, mac and cheese lorraine, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and fried biscuits with apple butter. They even made the apple butter from scratch! People were obsessed with the fried biscuits.
  
  MBP was able to make exactly what I wanted for our wedding and were very reasonably priced. They were also able to provide china and flatware for a price that wasn't insane like some vendors.
  
  We worked with Christina Tooke and she was awesome - everything went so smoothly. Christina kind of stepped into the shoes of event coordinator and helped with the pacing of the evening. MBP's staff was very professional, and it all went swimmingly. I've already recommended MBP to several girlfriends getting married and one is planning on using them at her wedding next summer.
  
  If you want a reliable, professional caterer that won't cost you an arm and a leg and that makes delicious food - MBP is the obvious choice.
  
  ONE WORD OF ADVICE TO COUPLES: ask your caterer to prepare you to-go meals. We didn't spend a lot of time eating because we were so busy with wedding activities and on our way to our hotel we were starving. So we ended up eating mushy sandwiches from Steak n' Shake and were so sad thinking about our amazing food that we only got a couple of bites of. I think caterers ought to ask couples if this is something they're interested in.

  5 star experience!!

  My husband and I are so lucky to have worked with the staff at MBP!! From the beginning, they were great and easy to communicate with and were excited to begin working together on our wedding. Our tasting went so smoothly, and the food was absolutely delicious! During the course of wedding planning, the staff member that we were previously working with left the company, and we were placed with a new staff member, Brandy. Brandy was great to work with and made the transition for us seamless. She had all of our information about the wedding from the previous employee, and it was like they didn't skip a beat! The wedding food was absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments throughout the night! Would recommend this company 1000 times over!

  Delicious!

  I loved my interactions with MBP! They were very helpful and easy to get a hold of when needed! Also everyone at my wedding raved about the food! Specifically the lobster bisque was UNREAL!

  Awesome!!!

  They did an amazing job!!! The food was delicious and they were very professional. Everyone loved the open bar. They even cut and served the cake for us. I would highly recommend them to everyone!!!

  Great experience at our reception, everyone commented on the quality of the food!

  Our guests were impressed with the quality of the food. Sylvester was in charge during the event and was wonderful. He was attentive to the needs of us the wedding couple and everyone else. We enjoyed the night because Sylvester and his crew were friendly, jovial and professional. We worried about nothing.

  The Food Was Awesome

  The staff especially Kim and Johnny are so nice and easy to work with and the food was amazing. They have so many options to choose from to make your wedding food not your typical wedding food. We got so many compliments on the food at our wedding. And they are very reasonable in price - we loved everything about them.

  Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Catering Company to Work With!!

  I worked with MBP Catering for my wedding two weeks ago, and they were the most professional, organized and kind team to work with! I got non-stop compliments on the food all night, people loved all of the cocktail hour and buffet options! Christina and her team finished doing all my decorating and made my vision come to life, they executed flawlessly on time and stayed to help cleanup at the end of the night! It was a blessing getting to work with such an organized team like Christina's as I had issues with my venue and they helped to rectify many of them. I couldn't recommend them anymore, honestly!! You won't be disappointed!

  Your team was incredible!

  I met Mary Beth Poe a bit later in the planning process for my clients. We were roughly a month and half out from the date. MBP Catering stepped right in and helped get our passed hors de oeuvres cocktail reception organized effortlessly. We were at a non-traditional venue, but that didn't present any challenges for MBP. The staff was on time, the food was incredible, and the team was very polite and professional. It's not a matter of if or when...I plan to work with MBP Catering again!

  Amazing Food and Service

  Can't speak highly enough of this catering service. The food was outstanding and the staff, even though we had an outside venue and it was blisteringly hot, were pleasant and helpful. Would recommend 100%. I'm still hearing about how much everyone enjoyed the food. They handled everything, going above and beyond for us. Thanks, MBP!

I asked for the same menu they had for their wedding for my own and it did not disappoint. We opted for buffet stations with beef tenderloin and carved Turkey Breast. Wow, everything that was offered was amazing. My guests are still commenting on the food. I worked with Anne Perry and she was so helpful.   My daughter and I went to MBP Distinctive Catering for tasting. Their presentation and professionalism was far above any other vendor we had visited. During the tasting, they brought us several choices of hors-d'oeuvres, salad, main course options, and deserts, all introduced in separate courses, as they would be at dinner. My daughter chose two full course meals for guests to choose from. On the day of the wedding, the wedding party was busy with pictures after the ceremony, and the MBP wait staff was immediately ready to serve our guests hors-d'oeuvres while they waited for the wedding party. My daughter used color-coded name cards to indicate which guest choose chicken, which choose beef, etc. When it was time for dinner, the MBP staff expertly delivered all the meals to the guests without incident or mix-up. I had several guests tell me how much they loved the food that was served, and many also commented on how well it was served. As the mother of the bride, I can't tell you how impressed I was with the MBP wait staff. As soon as the salad was done, the main course was brought out. As soon as the first tables were done with the main course, the desert started. Glasses were filled. The staff made sure everyone had a drink in time for the toast. I felt pampered, as a guest at a table, I never had to wait for or ask for anything. Yet, the wait staff did not linger too long, they knew exactly what they needed to do and were quick, and so polite. What an enjoyable meal after a beautiful wedding!! Thank you so much to Mary Beth, Cathy, and the entire MBP DC staff!

  MBP was one of the preferred vendors for our venue. We initially did a trial with them because their pricing was less expensive than the other preferred vendors. We were more than pleasantly surprised. Their food was absolutely delicious! We worked with Adam Luellen as our coordinator. He was wonderful. For the tasting, he basically said to send him a list of anything we wanted to taste from their menus. Everything we tasted was really, really good. We opted for a chicken entree with a couple of sides plus a salad and roll. For the cocktail hour, we picked three different appetizers. We had numerous guests comment that the hummus appetizer was the best hummus they had ever had. Additionally, multiple other guests, including our parents, also said the food was the best they had ever had at any wedding and/or catered event. Not only was the food wonderful, Adam and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Adam was always responsive to any question (no matter how trivial it seemed to us) we had. He added a different table cloth at the last minute due to a photo I saw online for the cake table. He let us know that he was going to be out of town on vacation for the week or so immediately prior to our date, but he left us in good hands with the rest of the staff. Every person was fantastic. During the reception, MBP staff checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Adam returned in the middle of the reception (due to another event) and made sure everything was going well.   This food is incredible!! We had a buffet at our wedding, with salads plated beforehand, and passed hors d'oeuvres during our cocktail hour. He was also quick about answering emails, even when they were just short questions. This is a great business - these guys really know what they're doing!

  This food is incredible!! We had a buffet at our wedding, with salads plated beforehand, and passed hors d'oeuvres during our cocktail hour.   We loved MBP so much. Adam treated us so well and helped us plan from long distance. Day of - I could not have been happier! I hugged Adam at the end of the wedding, because I was so taken back by his team and their professionalism throughout the wedding. The set-up was phenomenally done and our guests LOVED the food.

  The food and dessert buffet was a hit with us and our guests! It was absolutely delicious! The staff especially, Anne, was wonderful to work with! They accomodated our unique requests with our wedding reception also.

  The food was delicious! Our wedding was later in the evening, and we wanted to do small plates. They were so flexible with our tastes and mixing up items from pre-selected menus to fit what we wanted. Other vendors had discouraged us from having this type of dining at our wedding, but MBP made a great first impression by working with us from the beginning. They also had a menu for the children who were served their meals instead of doing the buffet line, which helped the parents a lot. The food the night of the wedding was just as hot, fresh, and scrumptious as it was at the tasting! People loved the mash-tini bar and the cheesecake bar! The staff was very professional. I would recommend MBP to anyone with catering, not just for weddings- but especially if you plan to hors d'oeuvres!

  MBP was great to work with and the food did not disappoint! Our guests' favorite was the mashed potato bar. HUGE HIT! All the food tasted very fresh and we loved the tenderloin carving station. We decided to go with heavy appetizers and it was just perfect. They also did a great job bussing the tables so that they stayed clean the entire night. Great service and great food!

  MBP was our first choice from the list of caterers our venue gave us, and they happened to be the most reasonably priced. The food tasted amazing, looked elegant, and was exactly what we wanted. They have a wide selection of packages, with several different food items. Christina is one of the main reasons we had such a successful wedding. She is organized, detail-oriented, incredibly responsive, and after listening to exactly what we wanted, executed every single detail perfectly. She was flexible in several ways, including allowing us an additional person at the tasting, and making some tables larger than others to accommodate our requests. Once we told her our preferences, she made other decisions we didn’t want to, and was a behind-the-scenes all-star. A lot of detail went into planning the centerpieces, seating chart, name cards, other décor, etc. and she and her team did an outstanding job making sure those details were exactly how we wanted it. She communicated with the florist, cake baker, wedding coordinator at the venue, and others to ensure each component of the wedding was cohesive. It was very nice to turn over all of our thoughts and ideas, trusting she would just take care of everything we wanted without us having to do a thing.

  MBP provided exceptional service! We had a Sunday brunch wedding and she provided an amazing waffle bar. This was my most anticipated part of my wedding and she did not disappoint!

  MBP and Caroline did a fantastic job on our reception! Caroline was so easy to work with and she helped fill in the blanks and ask questions to make sure our day was special. The day of staff was awesome and went out of their way to make sure we had all that we needed.
