Best dress shopping experience

The staff at Max Bridal made wedding dress shopping SO easy from start to finish. I live in Maryland, and commuted to NY for each of my fittings because I was so happy with my experiences there.

As someone who is typically quite shy/reserved (especially when it comes to modeling clothes for other people), the staff were so kind and really put my mind at ease.

They have a HUGE selection of dresses/brands (in fact so many of the EXACT dresses I had pinned to my Pinterest board were there!) Their selection is curated very well.

Their service was amazing- and you can tell they really do care about their brides. They even squeezed us in last minute when I decided I wanted to add spaghetti straps to my dress two weeks before the wedding! Truly life savers.

Wedding Dress Experiencw

Max Bridal is filled with helpful and upbeat employees. They are accommodating for appointments and the atmosphere doesn’t make your feel pressured to make a decision. All of the staff is friendly but my bridal consultant Leila was phenomenal. She understood my vision immediately and brought me the perfect selections. Highly recommend checking this store out if you are looking for a wedding dress. Max Bridal was one of my first locations and turned out to be the last!

Wonderful dress buying experience

After trying to find a dress at 2 other shops first without success, I walked into Max Bridal stressed to say the least, and they very quickly turned it all around. Their staff was super friendly, encouraging, and knowledgable. They had great options and my dress was incredibly good price for the quality. I also fell in love with a veil at the shop too that I was able to buy at the same time at a discount! They offered a designer that I hadn't seen at the other two shops at all. Once I picked my dress the check out process was easy, they popped champagne to help celebrate, and they were great with communicating the progress as I waited for my dress to arrive. Would definitely recommend them to any one looking for a dress.

The absolute best staff!

Max Bridal is the best of the best. From day 1, I felt celebrated & taken care of. I wanted a bow from a different dress added to my dress and Bernice made it happen! At every appointment, the staff was so sweet & kind and I just wanted to stay and hangout with them! Everything was incredible and I cannot recommend them enough.

Perfection

I went to most of the major bridal salons on LI, and I hands down has the absolute BEST experience at Max! Julie was my consultant and she was SO kind and patient, and made me feel so comfortable. They made my experience so personal, and did not make me feel like just another bride. They are so attentive and made me feel so special. They took their time and were not pushy whatsoever. Ewa did my alterations, and my dress fit me PERFECTLY!!! She is amazing and my bustle was perfect as well. Look no further than Max!!

Great experience!

I am so happy with my experience at Max Bridal. Julie was a total sweetheart at my first appointment and helped me find the dress of my dreams. The try on experience made you feel like a princess. The customer service is 5 star! The staff were very accommodating and worked with me all the way up until my wedding. My seamstress Bernese was very experienced and professional. She made my dress fit perfectly. My wedding was a destination wedding so I was very nervous to bring the dress on the plane. The staff at Max Bridal gave me a great suggestions and I felt confident traveling with the dress. I highly recommend them! I cant say enough good things.

Great bridal shop with an amazing staff!

I did the MVB package at Max Bridal where we could close down the store and they served drinks and food and I could bring my bridal party and family. It was a really good experience for me. Being a plus sized bride I was nervous about trying on dresses but they made every dress easy for me to try on! Maia was my stream stress and she was great to work with she listened to all my concerns with the dress and made sure it fit me perfectly.

Felt cared about!

(Anthony's Wife on his account!) Firstly: Max Bridal actually made me feel like I was having a normal experience! While still being incredibly safe and cautious, I still felt like I got the most normal dress experience possible. But secondly, they also made me feel heard. I shared what I was thinking and shared my thoughts on the dresses as I went and my amazing attendant paid so much attention. She knew exactly what I was looking for and my dress ended up being one that she picked! When I went back a second time, my attendant was just as amazing and listened just as carefully as I tried on other dresses--just to make sure. And then celebrated with me when I Said Yes to the dress from my first appointment! They were amazing at Max Bridal and I happily recommend them to anyone I know who needs a dress!

Amazing salon!

I had the best experience at Max Bridal! My stylist Julie was so kind, patient and helped me find the perfect dress during my first time shopping. I came in having no idea what to expect, but she immediately put me at ease and was quick to answer any questions I had. The rest of the team were as sweet as Julie and all congratulated me after I said yes! I also want to thank the salon for making myself, my mother, and my grandmother feel safe and comfortable after seeing how seriously COVID precautions are taken. All of the gowns I tried on were immediately sanitized and the salon itself was pristine. If you’re a bride-to-be, Max Bridal is the place to go. I felt so special during my appointment and can’t wait to come back to Max again when my dress arrives!!

Amazing place!

Max Bridal was my first stop for shopping. I didn't really have a vision other than i'm not a very flashy person. Julie was my consultant and she was so sweet! Not only did she pick the one but it was something I never thought I would pick. It was perfect. She even picked out a veil that matched! I decided that I wanted to add long sleeves to the dress and Julie brought in the manager Alene who helped me envision what it would look like. I never thought finding the one could be so easy especially my first time shopping during a pandemic. Thank you Max Bridal team and I can't wait for my dress to come in!

Wonderful, friendly, amazing.

After a disastrous appointment at Kleinfeld, so many fellow brides recommended max bridal. like....so many. so...off we went. First dress i tried on was the one. My consultant Emma was so wonderfully sweet and listened to exactly what i wanted. which turns out....wasnt what i got! I wanted a princess dress. But she recommended we try some other silhouettes. She lead me to shop and i immediately picked out this uniquely patterned dress. she said "thats the one i was going to suggest for you" turns out that was the one. I wanted to try ONE more princess dress just to make sure, but she told me not to. I'm glad i listened. My dress was so perfect, so me, so unique. I had the say yes to the dress moment, made it on their Instagram, got a beautiful bag of goodies...i just felt so happy, so special, so bridal! My seamstress was so so nice and helpful and did a flawless job, the dress fit me like a glove. A day or two after my wedding i got a text from Alene and the staff with well wishes. I will miss seeing them! Id also love to mention they respected my budget and i had tons to choose from. great job, max bridal! i will miss you ladies! thank you for everything!

Amazing Staff and beautiful location

Max Bridal is wonderful! I looked at about 6 places both big and small without any success. I was surprised to find a lot of bridal places were not very nice and put a lot of pressure on me to buy something that I just kind of liked. Julie was great and so relaxed that I just relaxed and had fun. Every time I came in the entire staff was warm and friendly and always made me feel like they were invested in my wedding being great. I was worried that in Syosset my budget wouldn’t be enough but with a $2000 budget I could easily try on almost anything in the store. This is such a nice group of people with a beautiful selection of dresses.

Say Yes to the Dress

The day I went with my daughter to try on wedding dresses the staff made her feel she was the most important person they were working with. They listened to what she was looking for and I could tell they helped her find it with her facial expression and eyes. Everyone was very professional, friendly, genuine.The seamstress (Maia) was extremely helpful, went the extra mile to make the dress perfect for my daughters day. Would recommend this as a place for everyone to say " Yes to the DRESS".

Get your dress here!

Julie at Max Bridal was absolutely amazing to work with! I went to multiple places (including Kleinfeld’s) and found nothing. By the time I got to Max Bridal, I was feeling defeated for sure. Julie pulled a dress for me and it was nothing I wanted. I actually refused to try it on. After some convincing, I put it on and fell in love with it! She really knows what she’s doing. The dress was beautiful, it was nothing I ever saw myself in but it was absolutely breathtaking.

The whole team at Max Bridal were great! I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a dress!

Simply fabulous!

I had such an amazing experience at Max Bridal!! After going from salon to salon, trying on dozens of dresses, I walked in and new I would find my dress here! I worked with Julie who was absolutely AMAZING! She pulled all different styles of dresses for me and insisted we would find something beautiful. Well, she was right! Where I Said Yes

Max Bridal was my second to last attempt after visiting numerous bridal shops. By that point, I already tried on more than two dozen gowns and I was quite sure of what I wanted and didn't want. When I first arrived, the front desk staff were quite friendly and accommodating, as I was running a few minutes late. I was working with Julie, who made sure my guests and I were comfortable. I fell in love with two dresses. I couldn't decide so I decided to sleep on it. I made another appointment for the next day. I knew I would end up getting a dress there, I just couldn't decide which one! In fact, I cancelled my next appointment, as I was sure my journey was at an end. The very next day, I tried the two dresses again, and finally made a choice. I said yes to the dress! Thanks to Julie and the kind staff at Max Bridal.

Best Dress Shop!

I found my dress for my 12/1/18 wedding at Max Bridal. I went to many different shops and Max was by far the best - every dress they brought me was beautiful and I had so many options to choose from! They actually suggested for me a different style than what I had originally planned on and I loved it and ended up in that style! The team there is amazing to work with - the level of client service is exceptional. Their new store in Syosset is gorgeous too! I had my alternations done there too by Ines who is affiliated with them and she was just so amazing to work with. My dress had some complicated alternations and required a lot of appointments and Ines was just so patient and hard working and helped make me comfortable and be assured that everything would be perfect for the wedding. I've recommended friends to Max and I'll continue to do so. You would be doing yourself a disservice to go dress shopping in Long Island and not make a stop at Max Bridal.

I can't say enough about Max Bridal and Julie and Rachel (It was her first day!) that helped me. The salon is so beautiful and even has private rooms for your friends and family to sit in while you change. I had been to 4 bridal salons at that point and probably tried on 20 dresses and was starting to feel like I was never going to get that "feeling" when putting on a dress. Although the dress I wound up picking was the first I tried on that day, they still accommodated me and had me try on a few others to be sure. She asked me about my wedding day and looked at pictures of my venue to make sure she understood the vibe I was going for. When I put the first dress back on I knew I had that feeling and Julie asked me enough questions to know I was ready to pick! She even had my sister get ready with her camera to capture the moment of me saying yes to the dress which helped me save a memory I will never forget! Not only are their dresses absolutely beautiful but also affordable to the average bride which is so important when budgeting for a wedding. I'm really grateful for the experience they gave me and that I found Max Bridal and my dream dress!!

I had such a great experience at Max Bridal - especially because of Julie; she was amazing! Max Bridal was my first appointment/ first time ever trying on a dress and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had a pretty large group of people and everyone had a lot of opinions, but Julie kept reminding me that it's my day and to focus on what I think - thank goodness she was there! I ended up trying on 11 dresses at Max Bridal, kept going back to the second dress I tried on - I had a feeling that was the one, it was beyond perfect. I ended up leaving to go to an appointment at Bridal Reflections - tried on 7 dresses there but kept comparing everything to that second dress I tried on at Max Bridal. I ended up going back to Max Bridal, put on the second dress again and SAID YES TO THE DRESS! I'm obsessed with my dress, couldn't be happier - I cannot wait for my fiance to see me in it! Thank you Max Bridal and Julie for an overall amazing experience. I would recommend everyone go there to find the perfect wedding dress!

I randomly walked into Max Bridal their first day at the new Syosset Location. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, setting up an appointment for me just later that day. I was lucky enough to have Julie help me, even though everyone seemed wonderful. I never felt pressured to try something on, just because she made a potential recommendation, and felt she truly listened to what I wanted and more importantly what I did NOT want! She had no problem taking a dress off of a mannequin in the store window that I fell in love with. Turns out this was the one (and came in under budget!!) Personally, I enjoy a more intimate, boutique setting and Max Bridal was exactly that. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout such an exciting and sometimes overwhelming process. The name board they created outside my dressing room was a bonus and personal touch, along with the delicious complimentary pastries they had for their guests. Thank you Julie and Max Bridal for an incredible experience - I couldn't imagine it any other way and am looking forward to coming back for the arrival of my dress and fittings!

They were terrific from start to finish! Aline did some research for us prior to arriving to see if she could find the brides favorite dress. She did and she followed through answering all my questions! When we met it was a connection from the beginning. Julie our saleswomen couldn't have been kinder or more patient. We had come from not such a wonderful experience in NYC so this was heartwarming, as it should be during this time. Even the sales rep of the dress company she loved was there and she was like a breath of sunshine as well. We will forever be grateful we decided to go to Max Bridal. Thanks ladies

Our experience was the best ever after visiting five other shops. Alene was super with all the research she did for me, as we wanted to order a dress they didn't carry. Julie was so fun and warm when she helped us to select other dresses to try on. They are normal, courteous warm and lovely people. I would highly recommend this shop for all your bridal needs.

I recently bought my wedding dress from Max Bridal and it was the best experience. Right from the start my consultant, Amanda, understood that I didn’t want a traditional dress and helped me find the perfect Jim Hjelm. Aileen, the manager always greeted me and my mom during every appointment and chatted with us about the wedding. Ines, the seamstress I worked with was amazing! She helped transform my dress from a strapless dress to one with a sheer high neckline using the extra lace from my dress. Everyone at Max Bridal is so wonderful, that my mom and grandmother got their dresses there too, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

I think Max Bridal was the 8th or 9th store I visited... I had tried on a lot of dresses but none stood out to me, but I got lucky at Max! Amanda and the whole team were so kind, patient, and helpful, from my first visit until my final pickup two days before the wedding. The only drawback was that it was often difficult to schedule appointments with the seamstress, as there are so many brides and just 2 people doing alterations... but it all worked out in the end! I loved my dress and the whole experience at Max Bridal.

I had my perfect say yes to the dress moment at Max Bridal. The dress selection at Max is just beautiful. They only take one appointment at a time so you are the only one trying on dresses. Seon was my bridal consultant. She was so patient and supportive. You can tell she truly loves what she does. A+ Amazing place to get a Bridal Gown! Great prices and selection! Seon is great to work with! Didn't quite work for my large number of bridesmaids, but for my gown it was spectacular. Wonderful experience. Finding my dress was simple. They asked me what I wanted and I tried on around 5-7 of those and 2 on the outside of my comfort zone which was awesome to experience. I was in love with my dress and didn't want to take it off. My seamstress was a doll. My veil did fall a little funny all day which was quite irritating, but hopefully that won't affect my photos too much.

It's hard not to gush about this amazing little boutique where I found my dream dress. I loved myself in this dress so much that I owe everyone involved the utmost gratitude. I found Max Bridal on The Knot and checked out what lines they carried. I came in armed with several photos of dresses I wanted, but when I tried them on, I liked them but wasn't in love. Sun, who was helping me, made a suggestion and when I tried on this dress, I knew it was the one, and so did my mother/maid of honor/future mother in law shopping entourage.

Sun basically hand-picked my wedding dress that I may not have found otherwise. She also helped me pick a veil, accessories, and was so kind and patient throughout the process. Their seamtress, Ines, is an absolute godsend. She can eyeball a hem like nobody's business. This work, while easy for her, is clearly special and personal for each bride. Even though she probably altered 10-20 dresses the same week, Ines made me feel like we had a personal connection and that she truly cared about me, my gown, and my wedding.

Max Bridal was also very flexible and accommodating by rushing our alterations to beat the blizzard that hit the week of our wedding. We were worried we wouldn't be able to get the dress with all the craziness of the storm so they accelerated the process and made sure we had it in-hand as early as possible. Their selection is beautiful, their staff is amazing, and if you are getting married in the area, there are great venues, floral companies, salons, and other wedding-related vendors right nearby.

Wow. I had the most incredible experience at Max Bridal due to the amazing Celia. I was very nervous to go wedding dress shopping (wedding dress nightmares, anyone?) Max Bridal was the 2nd store that I visited. It is small, but in the best way. It is intimate and you are the only bride trying on dresses, so all of the attention is on you! You get a completely personalized experience. I pulled a few gowns and Celia pulled some as well. The first few dresses I tried on were gorgeous, but not quite what I was looking for. I tried on the third dress and it was a STUNNER. As soon as I put it on, Celia’s reaction was amazing. Her excitement and enthusiasm added so much fun to the appointment, and really made ME more excited about the dress. What hit me the most is that Celia was so genuine throughout. I did not feel like she was a salesperson trying to just sell me a dress. She was so invested in helping me feel beautiful and find the right dress, and when I had it on she helped me celebrate! I was so touched when she actually cried along with my mom and sister. It really shows how invested she becomes in the appointments. She was super professional but at the same time was warm, funny, and energetic. It felt like having another family member there by the end of the appointment. I do not often write reviews, but I feel so strongly about how instrumental Celia was in the overall dress-shopping experience that I had to. This venue was beyond amazing! I went to other places and they were nothing compared to this! They make you feel like it's all about you and are very helpful finding dresses that you'll love. My dress is beyond gorgeous and extremely fair priced. Celia Camacho was my consultant and was amazing! Super sweet and very prompt when we arrived for our appointment. There were many bridal stores closer but their reviews were nowhere near as great as Max Bridal! From the first two initial appointments to the fittings, everything was seamless and perfect! The seamstress there was unbelievable! They have a great selections of dresses and the atmosphere makes for an intimate experience. They are not pushy and are beyond patient when it comes to trying dresses on which is a huge plus!

Max Bridal was a hidden gem!! It was my second place trying on dresses and I absolutely fell in love. Celia stayed within my budget, made me feel super comfortable, and was extremely helpful!! She found a beautiful Mori lee dress for me that I never would have picked myself off the rack and it ended up being the one! It was a very comfortable private experience and I pretty much had the whole store to myself. The owner was also very accommodating to my needs and easy to work with - I would absolutely recommend going here.

Loved this place! I came in with a few ideas for my wedding dress and Sun immediately found some great options. Love the Stella York collection there! We immediately found one I loved and purchased for a good price. Also I love the fitting room set up. Each person gets their own room with mirrors, something to stand on, and a curtain for a "reveal" to other guests. Sun did great helping with making the fittings easy. Definitely recommend!!!

I got married on July 9th in an absolutely stunning Allure dress. I would never have felt so beautiful or so perfect if I did not work with the staff at Max Bridal. From the very first day, working with Sarah, Amy, Seon, Ines, and the whole Max Bridal staff has been a dream. They made picking my dress so much fun - even though I picked the first one I put on! I never felt rushed or pressured, and everyone always took the time to make sure all of the details were just right. I also took my bridesmaids to get their dresses here and they were shown the same amount of care and detail as I was. Ines made some incredible alterations to my very detailed dress - taking out the bottom layer made my dress so much lighter and just so unique. I had the most amazing experience at Max Bridal! Being that this was only my second bridal appointment I was a little apprehensive and didn't know what to expect. I was beyond pleasantly surprised by what I found at Max Bridal. I felt welcome immediately and the consultant Seon was so friendly and knowledgable. She pulled great dresses for me and also let me look around and pick out what I wanted. Seon was so patient and accommodating and I never once felt rushed or like I was burdening her in any way. Walked into Max Bridal for my appointment a few nights ago and was not overly excited because I had been to several of the larger fancy shmancy stores (Kleinfeld's, L'Fay, etc.) and was not impressed with the selection - especially for the price tag. Shopping for a dress was becoming more of a chore and I was beginning to dread it a bit. Anyway, up walks Amy. That was my sales girl. My first thought? "She kinda reminds me of Blossom from the hit 90's TV show...cute, but I doubt she's going to pull anything that I'll actually like *sigh*"

Ok, so I'm a grown up right? I can admit when I'm wrong. Was I wrong about her? Absolutely! She was nothing short of amazing. Super personable and extremely knowledgeable about the dresses and their designers. Told her the look I was going for and she immediately pulled dresses that made me look like Jessica Rabbit, which is exactly what I was going for. She also clipped my size 4 body (with a lot of booty) into the dresses so tightly and perfectly that I could really visualize how a dress would look on me even though I was trying on size 12's and 14's.

Also, the dress selection in the store, although not as extensive as a place like Kleinfeld's, was still plentiful and top notch. Definitely about quality, not quantity here. There had to be at least 5 dresses that I loved, narrowed it down to two that I was head over heels for, and then finally chose the one that I couldn't live without. This had been my 6th dress stop and all I could do was wish it was my first. This place was a pleasant surprise. Only thing I wasn't really feeling was that the owner was willing to offer me 15% off of my dress but ONLY if I wrote a review. My thing is, I was so extremely happy with my experience that I had planned to write a review anyway - so no need to put that sort of stipulation on it ya know? Either way, I got my dream dress at a great rate and couldn't be happier.

Let me just start off by saying that wedding dress shopping isn’t what the movies make it. It’s a long process with a lot of up and down emotions. After four unsuccessful and upsetting trips to bridal shops in the city, my Maid of Honor and I went to Max Bridal in Mineola. The second I walked in I felt at ease. Amy was my consultant and totally made me feel like a million bucks. She listened to exactly what I wanted and put me in just that! I felt zero pressure to make a decision and I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend every bride to come to Max Bridal for their wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. They provide professional and personal service at every appointment. I have been to Max Bridal a total of 3 times and the service has been great no matter who was helping. My first time I met Amy, who is very patient, sweet and did not rush me or seem pushy at all. I had made an appointment at Max Bridal to try on dresses this past week. It was my first time ever trying on dresses so I was a bit nervous but I can definitely say that Seon made the experience very relaxing and enjoyable! She was extremely patient and the whole store was devoted to my me, my mom, my 2 grandmothers and a close family friend. Seon was so friendly and encouraged me to try on dresses that I wouldn't of even expected to like. I ended up saying "YES!" to a beautiful Allure gown that I couldn't love more! I loved the service provided to me at Max Bridal! Seon was great at making sure I got the dress I wanted and the manager, TC, was great at working with my budget. Seon let me try as many dresses as I'd liked (I only stopped when I found THE dress) which was not the case at other salons that stopped at 3-4. I HIGHLY recommend Max Bridal and had a fantastic experience here--not only because I found the dress of my dreams but because of the help I received to make my time as a bride so special. When my family and I first walked in I was surprised at how small the place was but quickly saw that their selection of wedding dresses were not only beautiful, but current and affordable. Courtney helped me try on a great variety of dresses and was so sweet & helpful. She made the experience very enjoyable for me and when I needed to go home to think about my decision she did not pressure me in any way. I returned the next day to buy my gorgeous LaSposa gown. The staff helped me to accessorize the dress and helped to make me feel beautiful any time I had my dress on. They were all very helpful, timely, and always called to confirm my appointments or follow up. I used Inez to alter my dress and thought she did an OUTSTANDING job to enhance the lace features on my dress--she really has an eye for detail and was a delight to work with.

I went to Max Bridal today to try on dresses for the first time, and Celia made the experience truly wonderful! She really listened to what I said I wanted and helped to find a dress that was flattering for my figure. It's been a few hours since my appointment and I still can't stop smiling! I had such a great experience with all the girls at Max Bridal! It is smaller than some other places but don't let that deter you. They have so many beautiful dresses and they are so attentive and helpful. I found my dress at my first appointment and I actually cancelled my appt for another place after that because I knew I had found the one. Throughout the fittings everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely suggest using Max Bridal for your wedding dress and I will be recommending them to friends and family in the future! Thanks again girls!!

Make this your first and last bridal salon! Max Bridal is a hidden gem, and I cannot rave enough about my experiences there. Although they didn't have the exact dress I *thought* I wanted, Courtney (amazingly patient and knowledgeable and nice and honest) and Amy (one of their managers - all of the above adjectives too!) found some similar styles for me to try on.

Since I was open to trying all different styles, they started pulling some fit and flare dresses that I never thought I could wear, and I found my gown! I had another appointment later that day at another bridal salon, and I never felt pressured by anyone at Max Bridal to purchase the dress that I knew was the one! It's not even worth mentioning how disappointing my other bridal salon experience was (I found out at my appointment there that they actually had the dress that I originally thought I wanted, even when they said they didn’t have it when I called to make my appointment).

I love how Max Bridal only takes one appointment at time. They let you take pictures, which is super important! I thought I loved one dress when I had it on, but when I looked at the pictures, I really didn't like it at all! They also have a comfy couch for seating for your family and friends (which the other bridal salon did not). It is a smaller salon, but they have so many gowns, so don't let that deter you from making an appointment here!

I also had my bridesmaids purchase their dresses here, and Jillian was so patient with my indecisiveness about picking out 4 different colors for the same dress for my girls. I honestly think I spent more time picking out the colors for my bridesmaids than picking out my own gown!

My dress fitting appointments with Ines were great as well. She was always on time and did a great job! Ines is nice and honest...I trusted her when she said my gown should be a touch tighter just below my butt (I didn't want it), but she was right, and I looked AMAZING on my wedding day!

Max Bridal is top notch! I came here to look for my dress and it was such an amazing experience! I found THE dress with the help of the amazing Courtney. She is so so sweet and very invested in making her brides happy. She also helped me with all of my accessories! She answers all of my annoying emails and phone calls ; ) She and Max Bridal are the best!!

FANTASTIC SERVICE, So glad I went to max bridal in Mineola. From the first phone call I made for an appointment I felt comfortable, Such a cute boutique store and everyone is super nice, and super helpful. Courtney took time to show me many dresses until I found the one I loved! Can not wait till I get that phone call to tell me my dress has arrived. Would recommend max bridal to any bride with out any hesitation.

Max Bridal was great. I had a very tight tame frame--find a wedding dress in a weekend while visiting my family on Long Island for my wedding scheduled less then five months away. I called and made an appointment. I arrived with my two sisters and my dad. Amy was great! She really listened to me and took the time to get to know what I wanted and found me the PERFECT dress! It was a small shop but they had lots of wonderful dresses. It was really nice being the only ones in the shop and they even stayed after closing without any complaint until my mom could come and look at the dress. The whole experience was wonderful! Then when I called back a couple of months later asking about a slip, they did some research and called me right back with recommendations for me. They were all super nice and friendly and my dress was absolutely beautiful. One of the best parts of my wedding vendor experiences! Loved them!

I got my Watters Jacinda bridal gown here, and also got my alterations done here. Everything was just great! They are beautiful salon with fair prices and great service. Cat was my sales person when I first tried on dresses and purchased my dress here. I really liked her. I guess she left and Courtney became the associate I worked with after that and she was amazing and so sweet! I will miss her. She's such a professional too! Bernice my seamstress was great too! I've heard of there being an attitude at other bridal salons, but there is none of that here. They're just nice people with beautiful dresses!

I found my dress thanks to the Amazing girls at MAX Bridal, one dress shopping session was all it took. This boutique is so welcoming and pleasant. Immediately I was greeted by warm smiles and we got started right away. The entire time that I was there not once did I feel rushed or pressured to purchase anything. AMY was amazing!! She was so helpful in helping me find my dream dress after the dress I orginally had in mind to try was not available. She was so patient and only showed me dresses within my budget which I appreciated greatly. The entire staff made me feel like the center of attention. I had a really great experience. I HIGHLY recommend this bridal store to any bride who is looking to find THE dress and also have an awesome dress shopping experience.

Max Bridal is amazing! Not only are they one of the very few stores on Long Island that carry Watters dresses, but they are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and sweet. I love how the store only books one appointment at a time…it's super personalized and you don't have to worry about missing a dress because another bride is trying it on. The store is small, but every dress is beautiful! You can tell their buyer is fashionable and really understands different styles. Jillian helped me find the perfect dress and not once made me feel uncomfortable, stressed, annoying, or rushed. Love them. And they have soooo many cute bridesmaid dresses in a variety of price ranges!

Great experience!! After going to a LOT of bridal stores I found the perfect wedding dress here!! They have a great variety and some really unique dresses, and the service is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful, and they only take one appointment at a time so you get a really personal experience. Dresses are reasonably priced, too. I recommend this place for any local brides-to-be!

Max Bridal was great! They gave me the boutique feeling without the boutique upsell. They were very accommodating with our scheduling needs and Ines my tailor is a DREAM. The staff offered guidance and recommendations, but not opinions that were unsolicited. They provided the perfect balance between professionalism and fun and I would recommend anyone consider them for their wedding party attire - wedding gown, MOB, MOG, bridesmaids, etc.

I purchased my dress from max bridal and the experience was wonderful. The store is very intimate which added to the experience. I worked with cat when purchasing my dress and she was amazing. Unfortunately she is no longer there but the new sales girls were really nice when I went to pick up my dress. Definitely recommend this store. They have a beautiful selection of dresses.

Loved my dress

I chose to go to Max Bridal because I found a dress I liked and they were one of the few places on LI that had it in store for me to try on. I loved the attendant Julie I worked with. She was so knowledgeable about their inventory and what they could do to a dress and was very honest with the few dresses I tried on. Everyone in the shop was so nice and polite. I did my alterations there with Bernice. She was a little stand-off-ish and not super warm and fuzzy, but did an amazing job on the dress which is really want counts.

Awesome Experience!

Recently, I made a visit to Max Bridal NY at their new location in Syosset. With a family wedding coming up and the bride-to-be ready to choose her dress for the big day, we were all very excited! To begin, the space is gorgeous. The dresses are affordable, with a wide selection. But most importantly, the sales team is just great. We can't say enough about the level of service overall. I would recommend Max Bridal to any bride. The sales team and management really make a stressful, important decision so easy and pleasant.

Lack of customer service

I came in really excited to try find the perfect gown for my special day. The store had a great selection of dresses and it was pretty organized however I did not feel supported by my bridal assistant. She had such a lack of enthusiasm and did not seem happy to be assisting me, I was really disappointed in the whole experience and look forward to trying on and buying my gown elsewhere.

Max Bridal truly made this the best experience for my family and I yesterday. Sarah was my consultant, and boy was she phenomenal !! My first time looking at dresses and they really gave me the most attention. They didn't pressure me into anything, they grabbed every look in the store for me to make sure I didn't miss a beat. They let me talk things out, understood my vision better then I did and was honest with me to help me pick out the best dress. They gave me some beautiful dresses and I thought I was going to leave empty handed, which I was ok with, but then they placed a dress on me where it completely took my family and I away. The staff was amazing, but Sarah really made me not only feel like a bride but like a true royal princess. I can't thank them enough and can't wait for the dress to come in, for alterations to begin, and be more involved with this store and these girls. 12-14-16-Update to the above that I had left--TRULY & UTTERLY BESIDE MYSELF on how they treated my family and I after we ordered the dress. The list of issues and explanation can go on for awhile. From my dress coming in yellowed to them trying to tell us it was our problem, to cancellations in my fittings, to MY DRESS NOT BEING COMPLETELY FIXED FROM MY LAST FITTING OR STEAMED AND READY when I went to go pick up my dress the day before my wedding, to the OWNER THEN TRYING TO SAY THE SEAMSTRESS IS CONTRACTED AND IT WASN'T HER FAULT--completely unprofessional. The owner does not know how to run a business or take ownership of anything. The seamstress that they have "contracted" from what they indicated to us is not reliable in getting things done I guess since I had pearls missing off my dress, things not sowed in where it should have been and the dress was completely wrinkled. Absolutely disgusted and I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. They ruined the true gown/bride experience for me.

Look elsewhere.

Please note, back in December I had a great time picking my dress and their kind customer service is what prompted me to go ahead and also choose Max Bridal for my alterations. This updated review concerns my experience AFTER choosing my dress and how I was treated.

Let me start by saying that back in December when I chose my dress I had showed interest multiple times in adding lace sleeves. I was told that this was not an issue and that the lace pieces would also be ordered and could easily be sown on. Great, I liked that idea.

I had my first fitting approx two months before my wedding. Fortunately besides hemming and the bustle I did not need much alterations. It was at this visit that I again requested the lace sleeves. Measurements were taken (I have the pictures) and I physically watched as the manager and my point of contact at Max Bridal in my experience thus far, put in the order in the computer for the sleeves. I also liked a particular belt and asked that it be ordered as well. I left happy and reassured like I usually did after a visit at Max Bridal.

So please imagine my confusion, anger, and disappointment when at my second fitting, over a month after the first fitting, and now three weeks before my wedding the following happened:
1. There was some miscommunication with Max Bridal and the seamstress in appointments, so my dress wasn't physically there for me to try on. Inconvenient for me but not a huge problem, I could reschedule, except:
2. When I inquired about how the sleeves looked with the dress I was given confused looks. When the lady at the front desk looked in my profile there was "no invoice found." She proceeded to contact her manager and went ahead and ordered the sleeves anyway. She was not apologetic or interested in offering me an explanation in any way. I had to initiate for an one and what I received was "there's no record in the system right now but I'm almost certain they will come in time." .... As an already nervous and stressed bride, telling me that you "think" my dress will be ready in time without any reassurance is - well I don't need to explain how that felt hearing that.
3. Finally, to no surprise, there was no belt invoice to be found either.

If it were not for my seamstress who worked tirelessly in the two weeks leading up to my wedding to correct and make my dress perfect, this story would have turned for the worse. My hats off to her and her kindness.

My issue here is with Max Bridal and the management. As a bride dealing with numerous other stressful tasks, this was a huge disappointment. The unprofessionalism and disrespect for basic customer service shown to me is upsetting. Since I was familiar with one of the managers here I was expecting a follow up call with some sort of explanation but never received one. I am a person to always give the benefit of the doubt, but when your business specializes in servicing clients who are in the most exciting but also delicate and busiest time of their lives, and we entrust something this huge to you, yet you brush it off without any regard or interest, that is where lines must be drawn. We of course are giving you our money (which by the way I think some of the pricing here for accessories are absolutely absurd), but also our time and our trust, which at the least you should honor. I initially spread the word about this company a lot in the beginning to friends and now I will be informing those individuals to look elsewhere.

Incomplete Workmanship on Wedding Gown that Impacted Wedding Day

I purchased my wedding dress from Max Bridal (Syosset). While I was initially excited that they carried the dress I wanted, the alteration process and the way my concerns were handled afterward were extremely disappointing and fell far below what any bride should reasonably expect around her special, already stress-inducing day.

I completed three fittings with the store’s seamstress (Ewa) and paid $850 in cash upfront for alterations. At no point was I informed—verbally or in writing—that any of the specific work I requested (such as adding sleeves or appliqué for modesty) should incur additional charges. There was no itemization, no breakdown, and no transparency within those alteration visits. All the work I requested, Ewa had stated she will take care of and all I had paid was the $850 upfront for the 3 alteration appts I completed with Ewa where all this work was discussed.

At my final fitting, I was told the sleeves needed to be opened to create more room, with the obvious understanding that they would be properly sewn and finished before I had my final pickup of the dress, scheduled for two days before my wedding. I trusted that this basic work would be completed.

On the morning of my wedding—two hours before the ceremony—my planners, bridesmaids and I discovered the sleeves were still completely open at both underarms (see reference images attached). The finishing work on my sleeves had never been done, despite assurances to the contrary during the week between my final fitting and final pick-up. We contacted Max Bridal immediately and were told we would receive a call back, which did not happen in any timely way. My planners and bridesmaids had to tape the delicate net fabric together just to make the dress wearable. This limited my movement all day, and the issue is clearly visible in my professional photos and video.

After the wedding, I made several attempts to resolve the situation. My consultant (Leila) claimed the sleeves were “intended to look like that” and refused any reimbursement, saying other “custom” work had supposedly been done at no extra cost/gratis so there is nothing they can do to make up for the inconveniences the unfinished work caused on the biggest day of my life. The work I asked for being "custom" and not covered within the $850 I paid upfront were never mentioned during my fittings or documented in any form until I brought to light the incomplete workmanship after my wedding. When I requested to speak with someone else—anyone else—who could address my concerns, I was told no such person existed and that Leila was the only point of contact in the entire company.

Throughout this entire process, there was a lack of full pricing transparency, no documentation of additional charges, and no meaningful effort to address or acknowledge the unfinished work on my dress that impacted my day. Once my wedding had taken place and my payment was long completed, it felt as though the store considered the matter closed, regardless of the impact their incomplete work had on my wedding day despite trusting their business as a bride (the very clientele they are meant to serve during an otherwise very stressful period of time).

Future Brides: Please reconsider using Max Bridal for alterations, even if you assume—as I once did—that a bridal boutique would handle a wedding gown with greater care and expertise than an outside tailor. If you do go with them for tailoring, insist on detailed, written itemization for all alteration work before committing and insist on a final try-on before your final pick-up even if they don't schedule it as such. The lack of accountability and communication here caused unnecessary stress during what should have been one of the happiest days of my life, and I hope sharing my experience helps others avoid similar issues.

Worst experience

Horrible experience. I found the dress I loved. I was measured and they insisted I should only go up one size due to my chest size. Fast forward the 6 month wait, the dress arrives. I look terrible. The stomach area still has to be taken in but the chest area is so tight it is giving me a huge roll of fat back when I don’t even have fat back. I have medical issues that I was asked not to undergo too much stress for. I have been sick to my stomach every day trying to lose weight. However I cannot get my chest size to go down. I took it upon myself to get fitted for the same dress at another place. They told me that they should have ordered me a size two sizes up from the one they ordered me bc my chest size is so large. I am so disappointed. I brought my dress back in to max bridal and they informed me that there is not much to do. Now I’m stuck starving myself hoping to change the chest size I’ve had my entire life. All I wanted was a larger size I don’t even want my money back and they won’t budge. I cannot afford to buy another dress and honestly feel like cancelling the wedding, their excuse is I must have gained weight when I have not and I’ve been to drs appt w documentation of my weight over the past months. I’m so sad. I feel my day is ruined.

Brides Beware!

Go Somewhere Else! Manager of this bridal shop was unprofessional, rude and disrespectful to me and my mother and stopped acknowledging us when we went into the store. I was so disappointed with Max Bridal and would never recommend anyone to go there when there are so many other bridal shops on Long Island. When I was looking for a dress I decided to go to Max Bridal because I had a great experience with the consultant and loved the small boutique feel. Unfortunately, after I ordered my dress, it felt like the complete opposite. When I ordered my dress, it was projected to come in April; April and May came and went and I was patiently waiting because I know sometimes they get delayed but then in June I called the store and they acted like they had no idea where it was and said they needed to have their manager call the designer and get back to me because it should have been in already. Hearing that was very concerning, why weren't they on top of the status of the dress? So a week goes by and no one calls me back, so I have to call again and they said a shipment of dresses came in they will check to see if mine is there and that someone would call me back that night or the next day. The whole weekend goes by and no phone call again. When buying my dress, they had told me I had 7 days to inspect the dress from when it comes in, so concerned that it came in and they didn't inform me, I called again. It turns out my dress came in that Friday on the shipment of dresses but they didn't call me because there was a trunk show going on and they didn't have time. Seriously, this is a bridal shop, trunk shows are frequent. So now the dress is in, what else could be more stressful I thought? But scheduling was a nightmare with them and they acted as if I could just take off from work to inspect the dress. No joke they wouldn't give me an appointment after 4pm on a weekday or a weekend appointment because they were 'booked.' No matter how many times I told them I don't live on Long Island and can't take off from work, they still tried to force weekday appointments during the day on me. Then I am halfway through alterations and saw on social media that they re-located their shop to another town, however they never informed me that it was relocating, not even once and I had to call and ask because I saw on instagram and had an appointment in a week. How do you not inform a customer that your shop moved when their gown is there? Overall, it was a terrible experience, the only good experience of this whole thing was the alterations, the seamstress there, Francois was fantastic and did an amazing job on my dress. She also helped make sure I got weekend appointments since I was traveling from off of Long Island.
