    Beautiful venue and great food!

    Our experience with Mavericks House was exceptional from start to finish. Communication was effortless, with easy contact via email and their event portal. Brittani, our main contact, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, ensuring that we were always up-to-date on deadlines, payments, and required documentation/forms.

    The venue's payment schedule and pricing structure were transparent and easy to understand, and the payment portal made transactions simple and convenient. The portal also let us refer to current and past documents at any time, making planning much easier.

    One of the highlights of our experience was the delicious food and drinks provided by the venue. The menu we chose offered a variety of options, including 3 cocktail hour appetizers, starter salad, 3 different mains, 2 sides, a churro bar, wine list, beer list, and His/Hers signature cocktails. The tasting process to choose our menu and drink list was not only enjoyable but also helped us customize our selections to our preferences. During the tasting, we also chose tablecloth/napkin colors, table configurations, and many other details for our wedding. They also took into consideration our guests with sensitive food allergies. We needed accommodations for gluten free, nut free, and shellfish free guests. Our guests with these allergies said the staff were very helpful and provided food they could enjoy.

    One thing that truly set this venue apart was their accommodation for guests who didn't drink. They allowed us to have two His/Hers signature cocktails and a mocktail, ensuring that everyone had a special drink option. Additionally, they provided Martinelli sparkling cider in addition to champagne for our toast, catering to our non-drinking guests.

    Throughout our wedding day, the staff provided full support and assistance when necessary, including helping us set up our DIY decor/centerpieces. Whenever we wanted to get more drinks from the bar, a staff member made us feel special by getting our drinks quickly, making us feel like the VIPs of our event! Since we were busy taking photos during our cocktail hour, at dinner, the staff provided us with a sampler plate of the appetizers we missed during cocktail hour, which was very thoughtful! At the end of the night, clean up was a breeze as the staff quickly and efficiently helped us clean up well before our 11pm cut-off time.

    Overall, our experience with Mavericks House was wonderful, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a picturesque venue that offers great food, drinks, and exceptional service.

    Beautiful, intimate seaside wedding

    Mavericks House was a beautiful venue for my daughter’s wedding. The staff were responsive and friendly, the location was perfect with nearby restaurants and breweries, and the inside and outside ceremony area was lovely. For weddings with 80 or fewer guests, it couldn’t be beat.

    Amazing Wedding Venue

    We recently held our wedding at Mavericks Event Center and were just thrilled with the whole experience: the venue, the food, the coordination services are all top notch. Lisa Graye, the MEC Event Manager, helped us every step of the way, patiently answering our every question, remembering all the plans and details, fielding vendor questions and just making everything go seamlessly. We had a group of about 60, with quite a few activities and vendors, so it could easily have been chaos for us to manage, but Lisa's calm, can-do demeanor and A-plus organization made it so easy and fun for us. Highly recommend, and so grateful to Lisa and the rest of the team for going above and beyond to allow us to create some wonderful memories with our friends and family. One word of advice: we had a lovely warm sunny October day, and the upstairs of the Event Center gets pretty warm, even with the windows open. If you're planning to spend much time up there (we did not), it would be good to dress accordingly.

    My husband and I held our wedding at the Mavericks Event Center on June 10th, 2017. From the initial meeting at one of their open houses, the team was absolutely amazing. I met with Jodie and Melanie to confirm our date and make general decisions over several months, and then Lisa Graye took over to finalize all the details. Jodie and Melanie were extremely accommodating and communicative, and then Lisa ensured all our needs and concerns were addressed. During the rehearsal, Lisa was just lovely with my family, she helped us to organize our ceremony schedule (we needed it!), and answered all our last minute questions. On the day of the wedding day, she made sure everything was accounted for. I was also so impressed with the staff who were professional, welcoming, and on top of food, drinks, lighting and transitions throughout the entire event. The ceremony grounds were neat and clean, the event center was beautifully arranged, and the schedule went seamlessly! All I had to worry about at our wedding was my vows and spending as much time as I could with our guests.
    The beer is from the Half Moon Bay Brew Co, which owns this venue. Their beer is excellent and such a treat to offer to our guests. We chose to bring in our own wine and the corkage fee was very reasonable.
    The only area of improvement was the dinner, though this was fully addressed. Full disclosure - My husband is a Chef so we have high expectations, and several of our guests were Chefs as well! Fortunately, when we shared our concerns, we were offered a second tasting, and Mavericks Chef graciously met with us to review all our changes and recommendations. The day of the wedding, the food was even better than our second tasting, and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meal, as did we!
    I am so thankful to the staff at Mavericks Event Center for helping us to realize our vision for our wedding day.

    My Wife and I got married at the Maverick Event center last weekend 7/11 and the experience could not have been any better. From the day we booked the venue we had tremendous support from all of the team there. Melanie helped us with our initial visit and questions as well as the tasting, then Luciana took over about with the final details as the date was getting closer. They were very accommodating to any request we had. They always responded to emails in a very timely manner and were extremely organized with their approach.
    We did not hire a wedding planner and were doing a lot of the planning and organizing on our own and were blown away the support we got from the team not only leading up to the date but the day of, to us it felt as if we had a wedding planner with us the whole time. Luciana and Felipe took care of all our worries and stresses and allowed us to really enjoy our wedding. From things like setting up the tables and settings the night before to a very quick yet professional breakdown of tables after dinner to make room for dancing everything was done with a smile and as a collaborative effect.
    We booked this venue for a large part due to how beautiful of a venue it is but couldn't be more happy with how the day went and the support we got from the team at the Mavericks event center. We were able to enjoy our wedding and the people that joined us for the special day and a large part of that is due to the staff there.

    We had our wedding there in early August and everything turned out great! The fog cleared in time for the ceremony too. Samantha was a pleasure to work with, very professional and friendly. She was easy going and very responsive.

    The sfaff was great setting up the venue, nice to have everything else handled by one vendor (food, snacks, drinks, tables, chairs, etc).

    Our friends and family couldn't get enough of the location- ocean views with a deck over the water. We ended up having around 80 guests and there was plenty of room for everyone, not crowded at all.

    Although not many decorations are needed, you'll still want some. Make sure to plan this out as you don't have that much time to setup, depending on your ceremony time/day, but Samantha will gladly help you work these details out.

    We cannot say enough good things about Mavericks Event Center. It was the perfect location for a beach wedding, and at just the right price! We scheduled a tour of the venue back in March 2013, and, to our surprise, were offered a free tasting of appetizers and beer from their catering company, Mavericks Brewing Co. (now Lost Shirt Brewing Co.). The chef even came out to meet with us. We could not believe how nice the staff was to us, and we hadn’t even booked the venue for our wedding at that point! It was definitely the wonderful hospitality, coupled with the amazing views, and reasonable prices, that lead us to choose Mavericks Event Center for our wedding. The staff maintained that same pleasant attitude over the next year and a half, as we planned our wedding. I especially enjoyed working with Samantha, as she was always willing to answer our questions, and make changes to our event order as needed. Thanks to Mavericks Event Center, we were able to have the dream wedding we always wanted. We would highly recommend Mavericks Event Center for your beach wedding!

    Most wonderful place to have a wedding. The staff, the value,the venue, the chef,and Melanie was incredible! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have the most amazing wedding ever this is the place!

    The Maverick Event Center was the best choice we made for our wedding.From beginning to end they were always there for us.The food was delicious,the reception was beautifully done,and everyone there was so helpful.We got so many compliments from our guests stating how friendly the staff was.Melanie, Jodie, Lisa, Cory and Jenny were excellent and I would highly recommend this place to have your wedding here.
