Beautiful and delicious!
Amazing wedding cake! We did a cake tasting from two wedding cake bakers on Maui, and Maui Wedding Cakes was by far superior. Super delicious, fluffy and flavourful cake. We had a two tier cake (top tier was coconut cream, and bottom tier was red velvet). Both were fantastic and we got great compliments from our guests. The cake itself was also so beautiful with white and gold buttercream. -

If only we could eat wedding cake everyday...
Maui Wedding Cake's website was very user friendly and informative. Having to pick cake flavors without tasting them was a lot less fun, but with the descriptiveness of flavor options on their website, we knew we'd be in for a good treat. We opted for a small round cake and then various cupcake flavors. Our actual cake was marble with chocolate truffle filling and WOW it was amazing. The design matched our colors perfectly and everything looked beautiful. -

Cake was just as I pictured!
Not only did the gluten free wedding cake look just as I had hoped, it tasted even better! My only regret was telling the caterers not to box up a piece for us to take home because I could have had that cake fore breakfast and lunch the next day! My guests didnt know they were geating gluten free cake it was THAT GOOD! -

Maui Wedding Cakes was wonderful - they created a delicious three tier wedding cake and a (surprise) Groom's cake for our wedding. We were lucky enough that we were in town a couple of months prior and able to do a tasting, and the flavors we selected were just as great on our wedding day. The wedding cake was beautiful and the Groom's cake was designed just as I requested. Highly recommend! -

I wanted to surprise my husband on our 10 year anniversary with the same cake that we had on our wedding day. We remembered that cake as the best cake we had ever tasted. I contacted Casey to see if he could make the cake and ship it to Minnesota. I was surprised that he not only would pack it and ship it to me, but that he would do it very quickly (especially since I dropped the ball and ordered late). The cake was just as we remembered - amazingly delicious!! I just wish that they were closer to us so that we could have their cake more often! -

Our experience with Maui wedding cakes was fantastic. It was the best wedding cake we have ever tasted.
We had a little hiccup when the cake was dropped off and they responded quickly and fixed the issue.

Our planner got the cake from them and it was delicious! We were afraid that the traditional wedding cake may be too saccharine to our taste, but their cake with strawberry-whipped cream filling was very moist and fruity. -

We ordered our wedding cake from Maui Wedding Cakes through our event planner, Dolphin Dream/Love Maui Weddings, and it was hands down the BEST cake we ever ate! Even our guests were in love! The vanilla cake was moist and not too sweet, and the Tahitian vanilla cream was to die for! The seashells and flowers on the cake made it simple yet elegant, but the flavours were WOW. If we lived on Maui, we would order cakes from them for every occasion... :) -

My daughter and her fiance went to Maui for a private wedding ceremony on the beach wanted to send a wedding cake for them and found a website for Maui Wedding cakes. Cheryl and her husband were so helpful and made is so easy. Everything from advising me which size and style, sending me designs and even the short 3 day notice. The cake was beautiful and delicious. I would highly recommend them to anyone. -

The wedding cake I ordered was delicious and looked exactly like the picture I sent. Cheryl could not have been easier to work with. The chocolate macadamia nut filling was to die for, and it was hard to decide what to order with so many possibilities. The whole process was easy, and everyone loved the cake. My only complaint was that I didn't order a cake large enough for seconds. Hire them! -

We got our wedding cake from Maui Wedding Cakes, and boy was it beautiful! The seashells were perfect, and they crafted what we were looking for into a truly classy cake. We chose buttercream frosting instead of fondant and were very pleased with how it turned out--very smooth! Once we dug in, the cake was super fresh, light with the chocolate mousse filling, and melted in your mouth. I only wish I could have saved some! -

Our wedding planner, Maui Aloha Weddings, connected us with Maui Wedding Cakes for our 7-7-16 beach ceremony in Lahaina/Ka'anapali.
We selected our cake, design, flavors online, and arrived at our reception dinner at Leilani's to find our beautiful cake and cupcake tower! Taste was phenomenal! -

Great business! We were very last minute, everything was done in a very timely manner. Great communication throughout the entire process, everything was discussed over the phone or email. Our wedding cake was pretty important to my husband, and we were both very impressed with Cheryl! We were lucky enough to take a scouting trip to Maui about 7 months before our wedding. We did a couple of cake tastings, and loved Maui Wedding Cakes! Since my husband loves his cake, we ended up ordering an extra layer so that we could eat more cake after the wedding. Even days later, the cake was still delicious! Definitely recommend! -

The cake that we had at our wedding was perfect. Not only were the decorations beautiful and matching to the advertisement online but the flavor was out of this world. I was so nervous doing a destination wedding and having never done a tasting test with the vendor, that I tried to go with flavors that I thought sounded good together. We chose a marble cake with a raspberry mouse filling and white buttercream out the outside. The cake was to die for. Everyone wanted seconds. Brides, if there is one thing you eat on your wedding day, it should be your cake. I had 4 pieces, no joke.
Then they made it even better when they sent everything needed to package up my top tier to fly it back to the mainland so I could freeze and enjoy on our anniversary! They were a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend! -

OMG! Our wedding cake was fabulous! We flew to Maui for our wedding and we know no vendors. Our wedding planner recommended Maui wedding cakes. It was absolutely gorgeous and tasted amazing!!! We had no cake at the reception except the tiny ceremonial "feeding each other piece". We took the top of the cake with us and didn't get a chance to have a piece until 2 days later and it was OMG, melt in your mouth, fantastic!!! I can only imagine how good it tasted at the reception. All our guests were raving about it! I HIGHLY recommend Maui Wedding cakes! -

Cheryl was very prompt with getting back to me when I was inquiring about their services. Our cake and cupcakes we ordered for our wedding exceeded our expectations, probably the best cake I have ever eaten, honestly!!! It was the perfect amount for our guests, and the small round cake was just what we needed for the traditional cut. It was equally as delicious as the cupcakes, filled with passion fruit filling. The round cake was also exactly what I ordered based on a picture from the their website. I was happy that I was able to order a variety of flavors for the cupcakes, of course had to try one of each!! I had a nice chat with Cheryl's husband and daughter upon returning the cake stand. Maui Wedding cakes is truly an awesome run family business! -

I was beyond thrilled with how our wedding cake turned out. It was beautiful & delicious! Everyone loved it (chocolate vanilla marble)! We had a small group for our wedding so it was not your traditional tiered cake, a single round tier, but elegant and beautiful touches like the purple orchids and designed to fit the toppers we provided. The 'Hidden Mickeys' in the icing were, well, the icing on the cake :) They were the part I was most looking forward to and you guys absolutely nailed it! Maui Wedding Cakes was also great at emailing back and forth to confirm every detail of our order, which is key with a destination wedding. Delivery to the restaurant for our reception dinner was smooth sailing as well. -

From Canada I easily arranged an order of six vegan mini bundt cakes for our wedding dinner at Merriman's. The response time from Maui Wedding Cakes was always super prompt and helpful with very little effort on my part. They told me that they would deliver them to the restaurant on the day we dined there and they would just be added to my final restaurant bill.
Based on the professional emails I received I had no doubt that the cakes would be there waiting at the end of our dinner although I did no follow up (no time) nor was any money exchanged beforehand.
The cakes were brought to us, arranged beautifully and were delicious. My family members were surprised and delighted since Maui restaurants are quite lacking in the vegan department, especially for desserts. -

We loved our cupcakes... we each ordered a favorite cupcake and filling to offer our guests.. Maui Wedding Cake accomodated the type of decorations we wanted. They were very responsive throughout our decision making process etc.. The cupcakes were moist and very good! We married September 27, 2014 at the Plantation House in Kapulua.

We ordered cupcakes with a cake on top. The cake and the cupcakes were absolutely delicious! We had several flavored cupcakes and every single flavor was a hit with our guests. People even came over the next day to see if we had more! Everything was delivered to our reception on time as well. The owners were so great to work with!

We hired Maui Wedding Cakes for our wedding on 09/05/14 and Cheryl was a pleasure to work with. We initially met her back in November 2013 when we traveled to Maui to look at our venue. We did a brief cake tasting with her and she packed A LOT of cake for us to take back with us. Throughout the wedding process, she was always responsive and flexible with changes we made to the cake (i.e. design, headcount, etc.). We only shopped around with a few other vendors and the value she offers is great. Not to mention how delicious the cake was! We ended up picking 2 flavors for our wedding cake - the banana cream and lilikoi. We were looking forward to having wedding cake on our wedding, but only got a bite as we were busy with pictures and entertaining our guests. Cake is so good we wished we had more! -

Just got back from our elopement in Maui. Since we had such a small party (just the two of us), I asked Cheryl to make us one of her miniature two-tiered cakes with Plumeria flowers. It was a stunningly beautiful cake and tasted delicious. We couldn't have been more pleased with the result. Pickup was nice and easy and Cheryl had the cake waiting and ready to go at the arranged time. It was a very nice surprise to my bride that we could have our own little wedding cake on our special day. -

Working with Cheryl could not have been a more pleasant experience! We were married in Maui and live in CA, so doing a cake tasting before our wedding was not an option. This was the best wedding cake we have ever tasted. It looked beautiful and was amazing!! We had a custom 4”+6”+8” Ivory square 3-tier vanilla cake with vanilla whipped cream custard and Lilikoi rolled fondant, Pearl beading and scrollwork on each tier with fresh White Cymbidium Orchid on top of 3rd tier. FABULOUS!

My cake was amazing! Cheryl is very attentive and creative! my cake turned out great. The tasting was easy and the cakes were exactly what I wanted. The prices are very reasonable and they know how to work with outdoor receptions. We had three different flavored tiers and the hardest part was deciding on the flavors since they have such a great selection. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a great wedding cake. -

If you want top quality and top service, we can only recommend Maui Wedding Cakes Inc., Kihei, Maui. We placed our order from Denmark to be delivered to a restaurant (Sarento's on the Beach) and everything was so uncomplicated from ordering, payment to delivery. Our wedding coordinator is the one who dealt with Maui Wedding Cakes directly, so I can't speak to how their customer service is. We had 3 different flavor cupcakes for our wedding. All delicious and enjoyed by everyone. Cake was very moist and leftovers the next day were delicious as well. I didn't go for anything fancy, and just went for plain white toppings which looked fine to me. -

The cake that Maui Wedding Cakes created for our wedding was PERFECT!!!!
I basically sent them a photo and told them the colors I wanted to use. From there they created our wedding cake. We got lots of compliments on how beautiful it was.
Lots of our guests also enjoyed the taste of it.
I would highly recommend them as a cake vendor to anyone that wants a beautiful and delicious cake at their wedding. -

My husband and I went to an interesting looking house for our cake tasting as soon as we got to the island. I was a bit disappointed with the cake tasting but our wedding was in a week so we didn't really have time to find a new baker. The cake was dry and kind of bland. Maui Wedding Cakes really redeemed themselves on the wedding day. The design was exactly what we wanted and it tasted amazing. All our wedding guest were really impressed with the buttercream frosting and lilikoi filling. We ate our cake topper on our last night in Maui and it was still good a week after the wedding. :) -

My cake was physically very tiny, but HUGE in every other way. Maui Wedding Cakes not only made it exactly like the picture, but managed to cram in an extra delivery at the very last minute (I requested it at the last minute) to keep me from being stressed out.
The taste (I had white cake with passion fruit filling) was out of this world. Their fondant even tastes better than regular fondant. The live flowers that they topped the cake with were delicious. Their efforts went a long way toward making my big day special. -

I read the poor review for Maui Wedding Cakes and felt compelled to share my wonderful, absolutely awesome actual experience with this very special company. We planned our destination wedding from Las Vegas for Maui back in 2007. We were married in February of 2008. We checked out all of the possible wedding cake companies on Maui and were drawn to Maui Wedding Cakes. We found Casey and Cheryl to be extremely helpful. We actually had thought we wanted a fondant and they encouraged us to consider the buttercream frosting instead. We flew over in November, 2007 and they made up several small cakes for us to sample. Their fillings were absolutely amazing and their cakes were moist and delicious. We ended up with a cake with alternating layers of white and chocolate. Our cake was suppose to feed 80 people and we only had 40 guests. The cake was so delicious the entire cake was completely consumed, including our top layer which was to be saved for our first anniversary. We called them and they said no problem, just give us a call and we will make you a new one next year. With the economy we weren't able to return until this coming February which will be our 5th Anniversary. We called them and they said they would be glad to make one up for us when we come. I can't possibly make a stronger recommendation for anyone needing a cake for any occasion in Maui to do themselves a favor and experience Maui Wedding Cakes. You will be so glad you did! -

I had a two tiered cake - Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and raspberry filling on one tier and Sponge cake with buttercream and lillikoi filling on the other. Both of them were DELICIOUS. I ate a massive piece of each cake and really couldn't decide which was nicer.
I would say that organising my cake was probably the easiest part of my wedding planning. I got immediate responses from the vendor and the cake looked and tasted exactly how I wanted. -

I would absolutely recommend Maui Wedding Cakes to anyone in need of a wedding cake or cake for a special occasion. Cheryl was very easy to work with and I was very pleased with my cake. At first I was a little worried because I would not get to try to the cake beforehand. Needless to say, the cake was amazing! For our wedding cake, we got vanilla cake with a passion fruit filling. Hands down the best wedding cake I ever had! Maui wedding cake was recommended by my wedding venue Merriman's and it was a very good one. Their cake taste amazing. We ordered the white cake with Whipped Cream Custard, Logsdon Lilikoi (Passionfruit) fillings and butter cream icing. They really listen to what you want and give you their professional opinion. They will let you know what would taste good and what would look good. I told them my wedding color and they were able to decorate my cake with fresh flowers that's in my wedding color. I am very happy with our wedding cake. -

I can not rave enough about our wedding cake from Maui Wedding Cakes. To this day (a year later we still dream about it) and our next trip to Maui we will be ordering one "just for the hell of it". It was the most beautiful cake and the most delicious cake I, and my guests, have ever tasted in our lives. We even all took a piece home and ate them for breakfast the next morning! My husband and I were married on Maui last August, and at the last moment a hurricane was set to hit on our wedding day, so we had to move the wedding up by a few days, and moved our post-wedding dinner to a reception dinner the night before. With just 2 days to spare, Maui Wedding Cakes answered their "Emergency Cake Line" and were able to make us the cake of our dreams in just that small time frame. All I can say is YUM!!! The wedding cake I ordered online was awesome, beautiful and best of all tasted heavenily!! Maui wedding cakes arranged the delivery with the venue our reception was at (The Seawatch) and it was all taken care of. I just wanted to write this review to let you know how much we loved our cake. First of all Sue & I just flipped over it. Then our guest thought that it was absolutely beautiful. But, all of that was just appearance, when we cut it up and everyone had a piece of it people were going back for seconds. The bottom of that cake yielded enough for 23 pieces. It was beautiful & delicious. The almond flavored cake with the pineapple filling was incredibly delicious. What more could we have asked for. You rock. Our venue coordinator worked to put together a tasting with Maui Wedding Cakes. We were very happy with all of their cake flavors everything was delicious. We decided on a size, flavors, and discussed designs with them. I think they captured what we wanted very well. The one thing I will say it go up in size. I kept explaining that this would be our only dessert and everyone in our group is a big cake eater so we would need more than normal, however when they sent the quote it did not reflect this so we had to adjust the size. We got the white cake with lilikoi and chocolate cake with chocolate truffle filling and buttercream frosting. Everything was so delicious and all of our guests raved about the cakes. -

I was able to go to Maui for a tasting prior to my wedding and was amazed but their variety of flavors - they were all very good. We showed a photo of a cake to Maui Wedding Cakes and in return she gave us exactly what we wanted. A beautiful cake with great flavor and taste. Everything was done on-line so we were taking a chance not being able to taste prior to the wedding but I can tell you it turned out to be great cake that everyone enjoyed. By far, the best cake I have had. They were very easy to work with, took suggestions, and made our cake to look just like the photo I submitted. The cake was amazing -- two layers, the first being chocolate with chocolate mousse filling, and the second being white cake with passion fruit and whipped cream filling. The cake was delivered in a timely manner, and the flowers on top were gorgeous. -

We used this company to make our wedding cake for our wedding on Maui. It looked exactly how I asked - it was so beautiful! I had it remade for our 2 year anniversary in a bit smaller version. For what I paid ($70) the cake wasn't as great I remembered on our wedding day. It was really pretty, but it was a little dry.
I would still recommend this company as they did do a nice job with the decorating, and the cake did taste good, just a little dry the 2nd time. -

Maui Wedding Cakes makes it so easy to order a wedding cake. Their website is fantastic, their response time is very quick, and they seem to be very friendly on the phone! I couldn't have asked for a better vendor for my situation (a destination wedding, I had to do everything by phone and email). They are highly accommodating, and quick to offer suggestions if you need them. We had the buttercream frosting, which is amazing, and our two-tiered cake had coconut filling on the bottom and regular white whipped cream filling on the top for our coconut-hating guests (I couldn't believe there were six of them!). The coconut was even better than expected. The flowers on the cake were gorgous. I highly recommend this service, but be sure to book in advance! -

Selecting my wedding cake was pretty simple. I would suggest looking over your quote very carefully before submitting in a final request - they originally gave me a quote for the wrong cake! I don't know if they update their website frequently, but just make sure that you describe the cake you actually want (in addition to the style number) when you put in your quote!
As for the taste, I ordered the white chocolate mousse with buttercream icing. The top didn't even make the plane ride home - we ate it on the plane before we reached our first stop-over! -

We ordered cupcakes with a cake topper from Maui Wedding Cakes through our wedding planner. The choices and combinations were vast and we were able to customize exactly what we wanted. They set up a stand with a few tiers of cupcakes and the cake on top for us to do a ceremonial cutting. The flavours were awesome and presented beautifully. A perfect option for a destination wedding where you don't want to take home a whole bunch of cake! -

I used Cheryl for our wedding on April 21, 2013. I am very indecisive, and changed my mind about 5 times before finalizing a design and flower arrangement! I thought Cheryl was going to disown me. lol Everything was great- we ordered coconut cream on the top layer and lilikoi for our bottom tier. Both were excellent, but coconut was the favourite. We got fondant icing. The cake was brought out from the fridge just before we did cake cutting- it had already started to melt/soften so much that it was really hard to cut- just kind of gooed around the knife. Not Cheryl\'s fault at all, just something to keep in mind as the heat is unavoidable on Maui (we cut it at 7pm). I might have opted for the buttercream frosting instead of fondant, but the fondant was still gorgeous. I did ask for quilted pattern on the sides and no seashells, but the cake came without quilting and with seashells! I actually loved it, so I was so glad Cheryl did it this way!! Highly recommend her- not cheap, but nothing on Maui is. -

Maui Wedding Cakes did my sister's cake last July. It was exactly like the picture she submitted and tasted great! They also provided entrees for the reception, which was very convenient. They were easy to work with and very accomodating to what we asked for.

We used Maui Wedding Cakes as our cake maker for our wedding at the Olowalu plantation in Maui.
I had asked for a cake consisting of 3 large square on different tiers all with different flavors. The cakes tasted great however they didn't look like the pictures I had sent them. It was a VERY simple design - literally 3 white box-looking cakes with nothing on them (we were putting real flowers on the top). Instead we got three cakes that were half as tall as they were wide. If they couldn't do it the way I wanted it, I wish they just would've told me so I could have thought of something different. But for that price I was expecting to get what I had asked for. Maybe make sure they know exactly what you want.. again the cakes tasted amazing but just visually it wasn't want we wanted. I think I would still recommend them as they were some of the best cakes I ever tasted at a wedding. -

Maui Wedding Cakes did a great job keeping in contact with me via email since I was not in Maui to meet face to face. They also work great with my wedding coordinaters. The cake was beautiful. They delivered on time and to our hotel. They did a great job all around. The cake didn't taste as good as I was hoping (I bake myself so I might be a bit critical) but everyone who ate it loved it. -

We used Maui Wedding Cakes for our rehearsal/family luau prior to our wedding. The cake tasted ok, but for a basic design (especially for what we paid) I expected it to be done in a much neater fashion. I was also quite a bit taken back when we picked up our cake from their house (left in fridge on front porch) - definitely not what we had been expecting.
Overall, I think they work if you're looking for a basic cake - but don't expect any frills.
We ended up going elsewhere for our wedding day, and were completely thrilled. -

I was a tad bit worried about how the cake would turn out after reading several mixed reviews. So how was the cake you ask? It was pretty good, some flavors definitely better than others and nothing was terrible. We had 4 flavors in total, red velvet, chocolate with mousse filling, white cake with strawberry whip and lemon with raspberry whip. Everything was pretty tasty except the chocolate cake was a tad bit dry. The red velvet was yummy from what I tasted. My mom said that she had a piece of white cake with pineapple filling. Umm not exactly what we ordered but she said it was very tasty. Also, the cake did look very beautiful (though we found just a few cracks on the side) and it was exactly the design that we wanted. All in all, it was a very solid experience. -

Our wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious. Highly recommended. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. You need to book early in advance. Sometimes they are so busy it takes them a little while to respond. Sad that we wont be able to eat a peice of it for our One Year Anniversary. -

My wedding cake was ordered over email as I was having a destination wedding. They were responsive and accomodating. I picked the flavor lilikoi (pasionfruit) from a list and sent them a detailed pic of the design I wanted.
The cake tasted amazing. It was seriously good. The design execution was terrible. My design was very simple (evenly spaced dots) but looked like a five year old had been left in charge of it. It looked like my cake had chicken pox. And the topper was smooshed into the top of the cake, the frosting was a mess on the top. For the cost of the cake, I would have expected the decorator to be able to handle simple dots well. -
