Maui Makeup Artistry is Amazing!

As a long time wedding planner, I've had the pleasure of working with Liz and her team for many years - and I've always admired their talent, professionalism, and warmth. This summer, my daughter got married on short notice, and we were so lucky to find Liz, Anna and Marissa available for our group.
Having known Liz & Anna personally and professionally for many years - and with my daughter having modeled for them in the past - this experience felt extra special. It was more than just hiring trusted vendors; it was sharing a meaningful moment with artists who've been part of our journey for so long. Being on the other side of the chair for once, getting pampered instead of coordinating, was such a treat. Liz’s calming presence is a gift—especially on a wedding day when emotions run high. Both my daughter and I felt so cared for and absolutely beautiful.
Anna styled hair for me and both of my girls, and she worked with each of our unique hair types effortlessly, creating elegant, lasting styles that looked great even after stepping out into blustery trade winds. She's a doll and we felt completely at ease in her hands. Marissa was equally wonderful, doing makeup for several members of our group who don’t typically wear makeup. Her ability to enhance natural beauty while keeping everyone comfortable and confident was truly impressive.
This team is not only incredibly skilled, but also kind, thoughtful, and a joy to be around. I can’t recommend Maui Makeup Artistry highly enough—they are a dream to work with and a blessing to have on such an important day. Thank you Liz, Anna and Marissa ~ xoxoxo

Liz, Val, and Amber were all amazing! My mom, two sisters, mother-in-law, and I had our hair and makeup done, and we couldn’t have been happier. They arrived right on time, were so friendly, and made the whole experience stress-free and fun. Our hair and makeup turned out absolutely perfect—everyone was thrilled with the results. Liz did my makeup, and it was flawless, especially the eyeshadow—it was stunning! I would definitely recommend Maui Makeup Artistry to anyone looking for wedding hair and makeup.

The best hair and makeup experience ever!

I was really scared about getting my hair and makeup done for my wedding. Having been a bridesmaid a few times and gotten my HMU done professionally, I always ended up looking like a different person and it was super important to me that I looked like myself on my wedding day. Maui makeup artistry came recommended to me from both my planner and a friend of a friend, and let me just say that the team was absolutely amazing! Liz made me feel so comfortable during my trial and really took the time to listen to all my worries and fears, and we created a look that I absolutely loved. Not to mention she is so experienced and knew exactly what would happen when my media team showed up and came in for getting ready photos and video so she timed my make-up perfectly so I would be ready and they could get all the glamor shots they wanted! Amber is a genius with hair, and when I was originally unsure about the look I had picked, she expertly and quickly found a modification that was so gorgeous. And Sarah and Siara did a wonderful job on my bridesmaids, they got so many compliments throughout the day. And just wanted to give a shoutout to Dana for making scheduling and coordination a breeze. If you're getting married in Maui, hiring this team is a must, I couldn't have been any happier with how my wedding day look turned out!!

Wedding hair and makeup!

I turned to Maui Makeup Artistry when my original HMUA had to cancel last minute for a family emergency. They were able to accommodate me and my mom for wedding hair and makeup. Liz and Misha were amazing!! Misha did a perfect job on my hair, it turned out better than I ever hoped. Liz is freaking amazing not just at makeup but she’s also just a great person. So easily to get along with. They both made me feel soo beautiful for my wedding day. 10/10 recommend

Magic Makers - Absolutely Outstanding

If you are wondering if Maui Makeup Artistry are the ones for your wedding day - stop wondering and sign the contract. Absolutely outstanding! Liz and Amber were beyond amazing for my wedding day.

Amber, my hair stylist, completely nailed everything I asked for. From the perfect waves to the overall vibe, she captured it all beautifully. Not only did she create the exact look I envisioned, but she also made the experience so much fun with her vibrant and engaging personality. For my MOH she created a stunning, identical version of the inspiration photo I showed her, actually, i think it turned out even better than the photo! Plus, she was punctual, which is crucial on such an important day. Amber's calming energy and easy-going nature made the whole process a breeze. She truly just gets you and gets what you want for your hair, which is so important on your wedding day.

Then there's Liz, the makeup artist, who is just as stunning as the work she does. I was so excited to be her canvas for the morning, and she exceeded every expectation. The result was better than I ever imagined, perfectly aligning with what I wanted for my special day. Liz was an absolute joy to talk to while she worked. We laughed, related to each other, and she even let me vent a bit. Her choice of fabulous products made me feel incredibly special. I had a small issue with my face after she was done, and she jumped right back in to fix it without hesitation. I only mention that because it's important that you know you can communicate with Liz and she hears you! It felt like chatting with a friend while she worked. Her zen, confident energy was a lovely and welcomed presence on my wedding day.

Liz and Amber were not just vendors; they were integral to the joy and perfection of the day. I can't recommend them highly enough!

The Best in the Business

I am a researcher. An avid review reader. I like to understand the experience the client had in partnering with the vendor. Boy, does the team at MMA have exquisite customer service. Liz and her team are genuinely GOOD PEOPLE and the MOST talented in the game.

Dana (Beauty Coordinator, Spray Tan): Dana was our prime point of contact for booking and scheduling. She was prompt with her responses and super friendly. She arrived at our resort the day before for a spray tan. She was early, organized and efficient. More importantly, she was so fun and friendly. I’ve had some pretty “meh” spray tans in life, but Dana did an excellent job. No streaks and the color was perfect!!

Amber (Hair Stylist): I had sent hair and makeup “inspo” prior to my big day, so Amber knew ahead of time what I had been looking for. I had had a horrible hair cut at my home salon prior to my arrival in Maui and was terrified my hair wouldn’t turn out the way I had wanted. Amber was super sweet and calmed my nerves. She was FABULOUS. Did EXACTLY what I wanted without any issue! I could have cried I was so happy!

Liz (Makeup Artist): Liz did a PHENOMENAL job. She is an artist, hands down. When the appt started we were total strangers and when she left we were friends. She is the utmost professional and an awesome businesswoman. She is just the best!

Hire Liz and her team! They are the best!

Maui Makeup Artistry is an incredible team. I did a spray tan a few days prior to the wedding and loved it. The day of the wedding my bridesmaids, the moms and I all got our hair and makeup done. Liz and her team were so professional, talented and personable. All the ladies looked fabulous and I'm so grateful for how my bridal look turned out. I opted for glam waves and Amber made me feel like a Hollywood movie star. Liz did my trial and day-of makeup - it was the perfect blend of dewy/natural and glam. I loved it. If you're having a wedding in Hawaii, go with Maui Makeup Artistry!

I had such an amazing experience with Maui Makeup Artistry. The entire process was super simple and easy from the start. Since it was an elopement, it was just me they had to focus on. I requested glam waves for my hairstyle and Amber delivered! Liz did my makeup and let me tell you, I BAWLED during our vows, BUT my makeup did NOT budge one bit. Thank you to these ladies for making me feel and look beautiful on the my special day! It was a pleasure getting to know you both.

The Maui Makeup Artistry team is absolutely amazing!!! My husband & I spontaneously decided to elope in Maui in May 2023 without ever visiting Hawaii before. Therefore, we had to be very trusting when it came to booking everything we needed to prepare for our big day. Maui Makeup Artistry BY FAR was the most responsive, professional, & eager to work with me. I really appreciated this team because they truly did contribute so much to the most important day of life. I had multiple conversations with the owner, Liz, about how exactly I wanted my hair & makeup to look on my wedding day. Liz is so incredibly sweet & really cared to make sure I felt like I was being taken care of.

I was lucky enough to work with both Anna & Camille. They did such an incredible job & made me feel so beautiful! I love how comfortable it felt working with them. It honestly felt like they were just my friends helping me get ready! Funny story- while they were working on our glam, my floral arrangements got delivered & they were not what I expected them to look like, so I was a bit disappointed. Anna & Camille saved the day by literally picking apart my wedding bouquet to make it look exactly how I wanted!! I guess they can add "florist" to their resume haha! Anna & Camille were incredibly sweet & kind. I will always remember the two of them & forever be grateful!

Incredible experience all around

Living in LA and eloping in Maui, choosing a makeup artist and hair stylist without being able to do a trial run was a bit scary. I saw their work on Instagram and decided to go for it. Right from the start, Dana was so communicative and always ready to answer any questions. She asked me to submit inspirational photos of hair and makeup looks I liked. Amberlee, my makeup artist, made my vision come to life! When she arrived at my hotel (early, by the way) she opened the photos that I had sent them so we could discuss what I wanted and be on the same page. I put all my faith in her, and when she was finished, I opened my eyes and was blown away! She killed it, but not only with my makeup, but with my hair as well! She was so much fun to be around as well and we had a great chat. I would highly, highly recommend Maui Makeup Artistry.

Best professional makeup and hair I've ever had

Liz and Amberlee saved my maternity shoot! I decided last minute the pictures would definitely look better with hair and makeup, so called Liz the day before for help. She was able to book me with Amberlee - who was INCREDIBLE. I rarely wear makeup, so really stressed a natural look. I've never had professional makeup and hair done so well that stayed so true to myself. I looked amazing but not like a different person, my husband also kept complimenting the look! Thank you so much Amberlee and Liz for your accommodation, impeccable customer service, and outstanding work! I will definitely be a repeat customer when I'm back in Hawaii!

The best decision you'll ever make for your wedding

I always tell everyone that Maui Makeup Artistry is THE BEST OF THE BEST. I first worked with Liz, the owner, when she did my hair and makeup for my very first pageant. Since then, she's always been the first I think of whenever I needed a glam team. She was the only person I named when I got married - I wouldn't settle for anyone else! I also try to refer her and her team whenever I can, especially for friends' weddings. Very happy bride

Liz and her amazing team came in to do all of my bridesmaids, some family members and my own hair and makeup on our wedding day - everyone chose their own hair style to suit their needs and had the same variation of makeup that complemented them best (we also did a trial for my rehearsal dinner!). Herself and the team are such great energy and really listened to the vision I had while I couldn't exactly voice it, we had the best time getting ready and everyone looked like movie stars. My mother and bonus mom were so happy with their looks - and the makeup did not feel cakey but stayed put throughout the sun baked ceremony and all night as we danced. Everyone looked like themselves, but the version that they wanted to see without looking off brand from each other - nothing heavy or fake at all and they only used products that made my very senstive skin feel great.

To add to the teams credit -the wedding was also published in British Vogue!!

Blown away!

The Maui Makeup Artistry team exceeded my expectations in making my wedding day perfect! They were so kind and easy to work with and always on top of details while I was planning from the east coast. The ladies showed up to our resort and kicked off our wedding day celebrations in no time. Simply The Best

I eloped in Maui on the beach on 6/22/22. Planning a wedding on an island when you live in CA is a challenge in itself. I had to put 100% of my trust into Maui Makeup Artistry because I couldn’t have a trial session. From the moment I contacted them, the experience was amazing.

Now let me highlight the stars of the show; Val and Lexi!

Val did the most beautiful job on my makeup. She exceeded my expectations in so many ways.
Lexi did exactly what I asked for on my hair. My hair usually becomes very frizzy when I’m near the ocean, and with Lexi’s technique, my hair didn’t budge at all. It held up perfectly!

All of this to say, I highly recommend this company. They played a paramount role in my wedding day and I wish I could do it all over again with them, just to experience the bliss one more time.

Never Felt More Beautiful!

I am BEYOND pleased with the team at Maui Makeup Artistry for the amazing work they did for me and my friends/family for my destination wedding in Maui in February! Marissa, Amber, Daniele, Colie and Dana were all rockstars, super friendly and did amazing work. They all arrived to our hotel on time, were great about accommodating our requests and had fun with us while we got ready. My makeup was amazing without making me look unnatural. The airbrush foundation made my face feel flawless and held up wonderfully against the humidity. My hair was so pretty - what pinterest dreams are made of! And my spraytan made me feel like I had the perfect amount of sunkissed color without feeling orange!
I have never felt more beautiful than when I got in my wedding dress complete with my hair and makeup done. 10/10 would recommend Maui Makeup Artistry!

Awesome hair and makeup

Amberlee did my hair and makeup for my wedding on Maui 2 weeks ago. She created a beautiful boho braid and beach waves- exactly what I wanted. I rarely wear makeup so I was a little nervous but she created a super natural look that made my eyes pop for the photos. I was so happy with how everything turned out! Highly recommended!

COMMUNICATION - Easy to communicate by email, though responses usually takes 24-48 h.
PREPAREDNESS - Amber came on time and prepared with everything!! She know what makeup/hair styles I had favorited beforehand and made sure she knew exactly what I was looking for.

Hi, Here is my experience with Maui Make up Artistry. I contacted them less than a month before my wedding day (Jan 21) because we didn’t know if we can make to Maui for sure until then. Liz, the owner, called me after a few hours I sent an email from their website. I was really stressed because one other Salon told me their are all booked and can’t have me. But when I talked to Liz it was very relieving. She said it’s a short noticed but she and her team will try their best. She did my make up herself and Amber did my hair. When we got to Maui I came by their place and met her with my husband. She was so sweet, lovely and warm as I expected. We went through what I liked for my make and hair style. We were on the same page and had the same taste. I showed her a few pictures and felt awesome after left her place. On the wedding date everything went well and I was SUPER happy with everything! Amber helped me put on my dress and took pictures of me because I didn’t have anyone with me. Even my husband came over there and got ready. She is one of the sweetest persons I have ever met in my life and a great artist. She listens to you and make you feel comfortable and dose what you want. Highly recommended.

I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding by Maui Makeup Artistry. Both of the stylists I worked with were excellent. They came prepared and brought a lot of positivity. Sun kissed with airbrush!

My husband and I had the opportunity to wed in Maui this past January at Sugar Beach Events. They provided a list of their preferred vendors and I of course went with Maui Makeup Artistry.

Liz and her team were fun to work with and felt like a girls-day-in. Haha!! Liz knew what I wanted and what colors worked best for my skin and worked with a healing and peeling sun burn from the week prior. I love highlighting my eyes and she did just that and more! I received multiple compliments on the airbrushed finish which was definitely the "icing" to my dress

My theme was vintage Hawaii and I was trying to grow out my hair to achieve more style. We went with a Hollywood look complete with a white feather hibiscus flower. Perfect.

My bridesmaids and mom also had their hair and make up done and I had them choose their own style but also have a feather hibiscus flower but in yellow. Beautiful.

Thank you thank you for your time, service and professionalism. It was fun getting to know everyone while we glammed up.

Hire Liz and her team. No one else, perfect luxury bridal experience. Eloping was not as easy as you imagine without the support of bridesmaid and family... Liz basically was all that and more. Loved my wedding hair and makeup!

Maui Makeup Artistry did an excellent job on hair and makeup for our wedding! Since it was destination I wasn't able to do my trial until two days before my wedding (which had me a little nervous), but my hair was perfect and the few changes I wanted to make based on my makeup trial were easy adjustments and Lindsey was a great listener throughout the process.

Melissa is amazing!

Melissa did an AMAZING job for my wedding hair and makeup. I initially had a trial a few months before my wedding for my makeup and I was in love with it-- to the point where I took so many photos and was worried if she'd be able to recreate the same thing the day of! well she did! And she did my hair exactly the way I was picturing. Everyone commented all day about how amazing my makeup was. Definitely recommend!

I've never looked better!

Wow, the team at Muai Makeup Artistry blew me away! Melissa did my makeup (bride) with the Opulent package and I have never in my life looked so good - even my 3 year old daughter didn't recognize me at first and thought I was a princess. As a 45 year old first time bride I was anxious about how my hair and makeup would turn out but there was no reason to be anything but thrilled. It was astonishing how great the entire bridal party looked from the work of the team. Mother of the groom loved her hair and makeup and felt special on her son's special day. Absolutely can't recommend Melissa and the rest of the Maui Makeup Artistry team more - what a treasure in Maui for special occasions. I just wish they were stateside to use more often.

We had Maui Makeup Artistry do my wife’s hair and makeup for our wedding. It was somewhat short notice, but they were so very easy to work with. Dana always returned our emails promptly, which definitely made us feel at ease. Melissa arrived right on time. Lindsey and Amalie did incredible work for our hair and makeup for my wedding day. Amalie did an absolutely amazing job with everyone's hair, capturing the braiding and overall essence I envisioned for everyone's hair. Lindsey was just incredible as a person and a makeup artist. These girls were beyond wonderful

The girls who did our hair and makeup were amazing. They were easy to chat to, they made us feel comfortable, they took our thoughts into account, and guided us to where we needed to be. Our hair and makeup was light and beachy and bohemian, everything we wanted. We had a great morning hanging with the girls and chatting about all the things to do on the island, which really eased my pre-wedding nerves!

I initially chose Maui Makeup Artistry based upon their good reviews and the photos on their website. On my wedding day, Shelby and Kim arrived and instantly made me feel at ease. They were very professional but also very personable. They each discussed the type of hairstyle and makeup look I was aiming for and offered their professional opinions. Shelby from Maui Makeup Artistry did both my hair and makeup for my wedding day, as well as a trial hair & makeup the day before (which I totally recommend if you are nervous!). She was absolutely incredible! She is so knowledgeable about hair & makeup and so talented at both. She put me at ease — and I never wear makeup and don’t know what I’m doing half the time so I was super anxious beforehand! She even gave me tips and tricks along the way. She continually went out of her way to make sure I loved my hair & makeup, and even though I started off saying I wanted something “natural” and not really knowing what that even meant (or any makeup lingo for that matter) she listened to me and really heard me and went exactly with the look and the overall style I was desiring (romantic bohemian). I felt listened to, respected, and cared for every step of the way. She was like an older sister or best friend that just popped in to do my makeup! I could not recommend Shelby more. She will go above and beyond to make sure you are beyond satisfied and give you the best hair & makeup experience of your life! I am serious when I say I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life!

These ladies were such beautiful souls. I had both a trial and wedding day hair and makeup done, along with my three bridesmaids. Dream Glam Team

Maui Makeup Artistry is the ultimate glam team. They nailed the vision for my look as well as my mother’s look. I wanted a soft makeup with romantic waves and my mother wanted to have her hair done in an Imelda Marcos-like updo. We’re Filipino and the vision was to have Asian beauty looks; mine was more doll-like with pick blush and eye makeup that opened up my eyes, mom’s was soft makeup with Imelda’s signature updo. Liz and Kim executed our makeup looks and were so sweet and professional. Shelby gave me the most beautiful, romantic waves and was able to fulfill my mother’s dream of having the Imelda Marcos updo to perfectly match her Mestiza gown. Thank you Liz, Kim and Shelby! Perfect for any event!

Destination weddings make many things easier but can also be difficult because for a lot of reasons but the main being you do not have the luxury of meeting vendors or doing a trial run before the big day. For things like hair and make-up that can either be great or it can go very wrong. I can honestly say I got so very lucky with Maui Make-up Artistry. I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. Not only did I feel beautiful, but my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids also all felt beautiful. Maui Make-up Artistry did an amazing job and I cannot thank them enough for how I felt and how beautiful my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids felt. Would 100% recommend them for any event!

Truly had the most wonderful experience working with Maui Makeup Artistry for my destination wedding in Maui! I knew they were the one after sifting through their Instagram gallery and seeing the magic they created. I was particularly interested in them because I knew they had vast experience with Asian brides - in the past, having had my makeup done disastrously, I knew I had to choose carefully. Also because I was planning a destination wedding while based in Philadelphia, I had to make sure I would trust them as I would not have time to try multiple vendors. I was fortunate to have a trial the day before the wedding with Liz and Anna, who immediately put me at ease - it felt like my makeup and hair was being done by close girlfriends. They are tremendously sweet, easy going, and so ready to try anything and everything. They also made sure to switch up my hair trial at the end so that I would surprise everyone the day of the wedding with my "real" look. The day of the wedding was even more remarkable as the rest of their team gracefully and easily dealt with my bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, flower girl, and my mother (my mother who never wears makeup was so pleased with them!). Additionally, I was so grateful to them for squeezing in a few add on services (which wasn't easy with all of the people and short time frame we had!) as various people decided last minute they wanted a little extra somethin somethin! I felt truly not only beautiful on my wedding day, but I still felt like myself which was extremely important to me. My groom thought the exact same thing. Liz also was wonderful in telling me what kind of foundation types work best with my skin, etc. etc. Loved them and wish I could be dolled up by them every day!

MMA did a fabulous job on the members of our wedding party. They really understood the nature of everyone's hair and skin. They knew how to make us look great in both sun and evening light. They also knew how to minimize sweating. They made the brides' mother so gorgeous, her husband (and everyone else) said she had never looked so amazing. Equally important, they were timely, professional, easy going and fit in with the group. They were better than people I've worked with in New York City. Finding good people on Maui is hard. MMA would be my choice anywhere. Shelby was not only a genius with hair, by the way, she was helpful about other aspects of Maui life.

Shelby did my hair and Lindsey did my makeup. Shelby was AMAZING! Not only did she do an amazing job with my hair (I have naturally curly/frizzy long hair that she styled/tamed into a wonderful beachy wave look, but she was so much fun to hang with as I was getting glammed! My hair held up really well in the humidity!

Lindsey did a fantastic job with my airbrushed makeup, however, my now husband said I looked a bit orange. I think it was the weather or something that make the color change a little.... I hope that I dont look orange in my photos! I also had some makeup in my hair that made it look like I had some grey hairs in front and my under eyes looked black after a couple of hours (which was probably the humidity). I wish I would have skipped any bottom mascara/shadow/liner.

Choosing a makeup artist and hair stylist for a destination wedding can be a stressful task. Liz makes you feel at ease during the planning process. She is extremely organized and wonderful to work with. I was lucky to be in Maui a few months prior so scheduled a trial. Anna and Sarah showed up at my hotel with so much fun and friendly energy. Not only are they extremely talented artists they are so friendly, fun and calming. I ended up booking them for my rehearsal dinner and wedding in May 2017. I loved the fun style and makeup for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding hair and makeup was GORGEOUS! It stayed on all night which is impressive a climate like Hawaii. They also did the moms, maid of honor and flower girl. Everyone was so happy with their styles. I'm just starting to get some picture back and in love with their work. Hands down the best skilled makeup/hair artists I have come across. Let me start off by saying that I am one of the hardest to please when it comes to getting my makeup done in general, let alone for my own Indian wedding. That all changed when I met Liz. Liz is not only one of the kindest, most PATIENT people I've met, but she listened to my vision and my likes/dislikes without any hesitation. Liz and her team are the best at what they do. I've had many different make up artists on Maui do my make up for fashion shows over the years, and Liz was the only one I ever really LOVED and asked for her card. I saved it for years and when it came time for me to get married, I knew exactly who I was going to call for my make up...Liz! Her spray tans are also so natural and not at all orange. On top of all that, she's an awesome person just to hang out with! Which can be important if you're getting ready for an important event like your wedding where you really only want the best vibes around before your big day! I had an awesome experience with Liz and her team. Everything from booking all the way to getting my actual hair and makeup done. Shelby did my hair which looked great! I only wish I got a photo of the back of my head, my veil was on for pretty much the whole time so i didn't see it much in photos. Sarah did my makeup and she was so sweet and pleasant. It lasted the entire day, usually my face gets oily and requires some blotting throughout the day. Nope. It wasn't even the airbrush foundation and it looked so natural and skin like. She was amazing and gentle and had really really great application techniques (things that make my eyes water, or make me flinch did not happen!) I wanted her to stay and be my friend, she was so lovely! I wish I would have met the Liz too but I guess they don't really need to send out the whole army for just one person getting services lol. Both ladies were early and finished quicker than anticipated. Overall awesome experience with Maui Makeup artistry. I would highly recommend their services. From the trial to the finishing touches on the big day Liz was incredible! She was so much fun to be around! I had a trial about 9 months before the wedding - I wasn't really sure what I wanted but she had great suggestions based on my dress design. She also came to our condo a couple of days before the wedding and did spray tans for my bridesmaids. On the big day, Anna did hair and Liz did makeup. I had airbrush foundation and lashes - loved both. They both did a fantastic job and kept us all calm and relaxed. On the day and now after seeing the photos, I could not be happier with the Maui Makeup Artistry team!

I don't normally write reviews but in this case a simple 'thank you' just wasn't enough to convey my gratitude for the amazing job Maui Makeup Artistry did at my wedding. Liz, Shelby and Sarah were so professional, on time and prepared -- they even finished early, putting us ahead of schedule for pre-wedding photos! Absolutely awesome and might I mention unheard of in the wedding industry!

From the moment I met Liz and Shelby at my trial they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed. Since I don't normally wear makeup, we designed a very natural look that was great for photos but still allowed me to feel like myself. Liz truly went above and beyond, even helping me choose the right shades for my bridesmaids based on the colors of the wedding and their dresses. And Shelby took the mess of 'Pinterest inspiration' I gave her and created a beautiful and unique braided, boho up-do that stunned everyone.

The best part about my Maui Makeup Artistry team was how relaxed they made me feel. Being a bride can be incredibly stressful but Sarah, Liz and Shelby made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing. From talking down unruly bridesmaids who were insisting they needed to look different than everyone else, to late-for-their appointment mother-in-laws, these three ladies took care of everything. I was able to sit back and enjoy my day without any stress thanks to them and for that alone I am eternally grateful!

My makeup artist was Liz, and she brought along her team of other makeup artists and hairstylists, and I can't speak highly enough of them all. The makeup on everyone (and I mean everyone) and the hair on my bridesmaids was AMAZING. I felt like a princess on my wedding day thanks to the amazing talent of these ladies. I was lucky enough to have a trial with Liz a couple months before the wedding, and I was hooked after that. She was so kind and caring and made it clear that I wasn't just another check; she honestly wanted me to look and feel beautiful for my big day. I'll never forget at the trial how she told me that I needed to be honest with her then because there were no emotions tied to that makeup trial like there would be on the wedding day, so she helped me perfect the look I wanted, and it did turn out perfectly on my wedding day. I have gotten so many compliments from the pictures of how pretty my makeup looked, and I gush about how awesome my makeup team was! And my bridesmaids hair turned out perfectly, I honestly wished I had used this team for my bridal hair as I was not all that impressed with the updo from the hotel's salon. I would most definitely use these ladies again, every time!

Shelby and Sarah as a team came in and instantly put me at easy. They worked like wizards sculpting, prepping and beautifying. I felt honored and pampered the whole time. They are real artists. Shelby created this wind swept ponytail that was something out of a mermaid tale and Sarah's flawess make-up was spot on. They did my mom, my bridesmaids and my mother - in -law and they all felt and looked gorgeous. I have modeled many years in my life and always weary of MUAs for events but these women are the real deal. I would recommend them to ANYONE older, younger they are superstars!

We had 2 rounds of hair sets with Shelby: rehearsal hair and another one on the day of the wedding. She has excellent techniques and skills, is very patient and careful, and respects what we were looking for. I understand that wedding hair would be sometime stressful and time pressing for both bride and the stylist, but Shelby did great job making the atmosphere so relaxed and fun, which comes from her kind and warm personality. We definitely recommend her.

Liz and her team of two provided exceptional service to myself, my maid of honor, my bridesmaid, and my two flower girls for our hair and makeup needs. I was referred to Liz by another Maui artist who was fully booked on the day of my wedding February 18th, 2016. Contact was made by email 3 months in advance of the day. Pictures of length of hair and faces of my party were emailed in and we were encouraged to send through any up do styles that we liked in advance of the wedding that we might like to have duplicated on the day of. We also paid the team in advance, so there were no concerns about payment for services on the day of. Liz inquired if we would like to do a test run prior to the day of; but we were from Canada and there would be no time for a test run prior to the actual day, so her team would have one go at it, on the day of the wedding.
The day of the wedding the team arrived on site at my condo in Kihei, along with all of their gear in tow. All of them were beautiful ladies, professionally dressed and proceeded to set up their working stations. It was obvious they had a plan as myself and bridal party were whisked through each of their stations and our transformations began. None of my bridal party, nor myself wear much makeup so we were all concerned we were going to end up not looking like ourselves with make up on. We really did not have anything to worry about in the end. As the bride my hair was an amazing work of art and exactly or I would say even better than the model picture I had sent showing them what kind of up do I wished for. The make up was tdone with the utmost taste keeping us pretty much our natural selves but drawing out our strongest features on our faces. A stunning transformation. A heartfelt thank you to Liz and her team for making us all look like princesses at Ulua Beach. I would highly recommend Liz and her team for any bride looking for a hair and makeup artist on Maui!

Liz did my hair and makeup for our Maui wedding. We eloped, and did not visit Maui or meet any of our vendors beforehand. I was extremely nervous about how everything would turn out since I did not have a trial, but I came prepared with pictures of hairstyles that I liked. Well, I shouldn't have worried! Liz is SO sweet and immediately put me at ease. She made sure to check in with me while she was doing my hair to make sure I liked how it was looking or see if I wanted anything changed. She also suggested putting flowers in my hair to give it more of a tropical look, and made sure to put them on the right side since that's the side that would be captured while we were saying our vows. This may seem like a small detail, but it ended up looking phenomenal in our pictures and I'm so glad suggested it!

I hadn't really thought about what I wanted for my makeup, other than that I wanted to look like a more glam version of myself. Liz asked what kind of makeup I typically wore, and took that into consideration so she wasn't doing anything that didn't feel like "me." I really appreciated that - and the final product was beyond amazing! My husband said it was the best he's ever seen me look, which is exactly what every bride wants to hear on her wedding day. My hair and makeup looked absolutely beautiful in photographs, and I have received a ton of compliments from friends and family on my look - which of course I owe to Liz!

After telling Liz that we were going to Kauai on our honeymoon, she even took the time to write me after our wedding and send me a list of recommendations for things to do while we were there, which was much appreciated. I am so happy I chose Liz to do my hair & makeup, and would absolutely recommend her to other Maui brides.

I cannot tell you how many makeup artists say they work with all ethnicities, and then when asked to produce portfolio images that show their work, they either do not come through, or simply don't have them. I need to see how an artist works on a variety of skin tones, and how they bring out a woman's natural beauty.

Contacting Maui Makeup Artistry was easy, they were very responsive, and even had images to share.

We all looked wonderful. In every photo taken, we looked flawless. Thank you Liz for making me, my mom, and my matron honor even more beautiful for this wonderful day.

As a African American women it's hard to find someone who can do your makeup right to fit your skin complexion. I live in Seattle and was very nervous about my makeup and hair for my wedding. I called about 7 different people and she was the only one that gave me confidence on being able to do ethnic hair and skin. The day of my wedding she came and made my morning absolutely fabulous. She's so friendly and sweet! My make up was stunning. I looked like I came out of a magazine. My bridesmaids looked fabulous. I cannot rave more about how amazing Liz is! She is seriously an artist not just someone who can do makeup but someone who has the talent to transform people into something amazing!! I recommend her 110%. Liz was sooo great! She did my mom, my bridesmaids (3) and I's makeup while her assistance did our hair. They both did such a wonderful job. I had contacted a few people in order to find the best person for the job. Liz called me to discuss things and I knew then and there that I wanted her for my wedding day. She has such a great personality, we just clicked and I could tell from her hair and makeup photos that she is extremely talented.
She made all of us ladies feel relaxed and we just had such a great time while we were all getting ready. Everyone said that all of us looked fantastic. She not only made me look stunning, but also made the most important ladies in my life look stunning too. One of our guests had even made a comment that it was nice that it looked like the bridesmaids had gotten wonderful attention too, and not just me and that we all look amazing! :) LOVE IT!
On another note, there was one point in the getting ready process that I started to feel very overwhelmed....Oh my gosh, I'm getting married!!!! lol Liz was more then fantastic in that moment. She got me off my chair and got me to jump/dance it out. lol It was exactly what I needed and I was laughing my head off again in no time. My Maid of Honour said that for her, the amazing makeup and hair was secondary to how Liz helped me "dance it out." It was priceless. THANK YOU LIZ!!! You're amazing! :)

I'm someone who never wears makeup, so I began from scratch searching for what looks I liked. Of those done by Maui Makeup Artistry, I realized there was not a single person on any site who looked anything but amazing. I ended up just telling them to do whatever they thought would look good, and had two completely different and spectacular photo shoots. Liz, who did my makeup, really listened to how I wanted to look (natural, like myself, not too made up) and executed it flawlessly. Not only did my makeup look beautiful, it lasted all night. Anna did an amazing job on my hair, which she put in a gorgeous side bun which looked soft yet stayed put even in the wind (no flyaways here!). We planned a wedding in Maui in less than a week. Liz was able to accommodate me on such short notice and gave me comfort that all would go smoothly. She and her makeup artist, Lindsey, came right to my hotel room and I got to watch the whales from the lanai while my makeup was done. My hair and makeup were beautiful and made for excellent wedding pictures on the beach! They even accommodated false eyelashes and putting beautiful fresh orchids in my hair which was way more affordable than I thought it would be. I highly recommend having hair and makeup done professionally for events such as this on the island. They account for lighting and humidity which will provide for lasting results. I'm from Michigan and didn't realize what a difference this would make until on the island. This should be considered an absolute must if you are considering an event on the islands. Liz and Lindsey were fun, professional and made me feel beautiful on our special day! Thank you!!

Liz did an outstanding job. I knew she was the best, because 2 of my friends had recommended her. She did my makeup and hair before my engagement photos. I really only wanted my hair to be done, but last minute changed and had her also do my makeup. I am so glad that I did. I could not have done as good a job as she did. Liz and Anna were amazing to work with. When I started looking for hair and makeup artists Liz was extremely prompt with replying to my request and even worked to set up a phone call with me. I booked hair and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother (6 people in total.) I had a trial with Liz and Anna on the day of my engagement pictures. They were prompt and we talked about ideas for everything. Liz did my makeup first and then Anna did my hair. I discussed with Anna what I wanted to do for the wedding but we decided to do something different for the engagement pictures that day, it was really fun! On the day of the wedding they arrived promptly again and had a schedule all worked out for who would be getting what done when. I loved working with Liz! She understood my vision and what would really work for my wedding. I have smaller eyes (Asian if you will) and most makeup artist overdo them so they look smaller, or they don't know how to match a foundation to my skin since it is tan but no orange undertone. She perfected that! Also she was very open to using my products since I am allergic to Talc. Her team saved me when my dress wouldn't fit right and were so calm it soothed me. I can't imagine working with anyone else. I look forward to keeping in touch and seeing her again soon. (ps. her spray tans are amazing!)

Liz and Anna were awesome! They were super professional and were really fun to be around- like girlfriends at a slumber party who mean business! They did hair & makeup for myself and my whole bridal party (MOB, MOH, 2 Bridesmaids & Jr. Bridesmaid). I was referred to Liz at Maui Makeup Artistry through my awesome planners Darren and Shane at Bliss Wedding Design & Spectacular Events and was ecstatic that they put me into touch with Liz and her team. I do my own makeup very well and also do modeling so my expectations for a makeup and hair artist are VERY high, in other words, I am very VERY picky. After seeing her portfolio and discussing what I wanted on my special day I finally felt relieved that I had found a great hair and makeup artist team that measured up to my standards. I met Liz and Ana a few days for my trial and OMG I absolutely fell in love with them. Not only are they EXTREMELY talented but they are also awesome to hang out with while they are doing the makeup/hair which is SO important to be able to relax and make it a fun time - even just for the trial! - just imagine how great that was on my actual wedding day! While doing my makeup and hair the ladies also were giving me tips on the correct way to wipe my sweat, yes I was a sweaty bride, how to hold your tissue and dab your tears, they knew tips for everything! Even ended up learning a lot for my everyday makeup/hair routine just because we were chatting and they were extremely knowledgeable so I took advantage of it :). I had a few parts of what I wanted for my hair/makeup that I was indecisive of and Liz was great at guiding me to figure out my particular style and helped me decide what would look best. Absolutely GREAT team to work with and I highly suggest them, you'd be crazy to not go with these ladies. It was truly a blessing to have these ladies involved in one of the biggest moments of my entire life and I will never forget them and everything they did for me and the absolutely stunning job that they did. I am so happy I found Maui Makeup Artistry!!! Liz and Anna did a fabulous job, above and beyond what I was expecting. With having a destination wedding I had to do a lot of vendor research online. When I came across MMA, I was very impressed with the website and all the images shown were just flawless and natural. When I contacted Liz and her team, she sent a welcome letter and price sheet so I could review services offered. Upon booking, Liz was very responsive and professional even calling to touch base right before my trip to Maui. Leading a very busy life and working full-time I appreciated the organization and follow up. She and Anna listened to what I wanted, were open to showing them pictures of what I was thinking, explained every step and were so welcoming and calm! ~ Especially when at the last minute I decided to have my makeup airbrushed on. It felt as though they were just two girlfriends helping me get ready for my most important day. They made me feel so comfortable during those last moments. My maid of honor had her hair and makeup done, and my mom had her makeup done as well. Both looked gorgeous! We all felt like ourselves, just more glamorous :-) I would recommend Liz and her team in a heartbeat! Thank you, Maui Makeup Artistry! xo

Liz from Maui Makeup Artistry was amazing! I am not a huge fan of caking makeup on and I was really worried about what I would look like on my wedding day. I wanted to my makeup to look natural, that was my biggest concern. Liz did an OUTSTANDING job! She made my skin look flawless without looking like I was covered in foundation. My eyes and lips, well all of my make up was PERFECT!! I was so happy I had found her through a friend. I would definitely recommend her!

Liz and her team were amazing! They made me feel so comfortable and calm on my wedding day and they were so sweet. It's so important to have people around you that are positive and calming on your wedding day and they were great. I had my hair and makeup done both on my rehearsal dinner day and my wedding day, and they did a great job with both. They were so flexible. At the last minute they even agreed to squeeze in a few more people from my family to get their hair and makeup done. I would highly recommend them. I vibed with them so well I felt like I had made new girlfriends.

Liz was wonderful to work with and a beautiful person inside and out. I was nervous about heavy application but she really listened to my concerns and was able to accentuate my features with soft tones and colors that were complimenting and made my eyes look amazing! Also using her HD applications,I looked picture perfect in our photos and video! Liz provides quality work.

Liz did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot several months ago. Knowing that, it was an easy choice to have her do my wedding makeup as well as my SIX bridesmaids! She and her team arrived to our hotel on time, were very professional, kept everyone on schedule, and even had a little bit of extra time built in to our appointment. That put me at ease as I definitely wanted to get to the venue ON TIME. Everyone's hair was beautifully done. For my two sisters with exceptionally long and thick hair she recommended a fishtail. They looked great and I loved that my girls' looks had some variety.

The makeup was flawless. I was truly amazed that the products that she used on my face stayed put all night, even with the hot Maui sun and the sweat that comes with dancing the night away! I would definitely recommend Liz to anyone looking for a fabulous hair and makeup experience.

I love Liz and her company as well as simple Maui weddings. I was disappointed with the four seasons. But over all everything was great

WORTH THE MONEY! They did such a great job. I was at ease the moment the girls arrived at my hotel room. Not only were they professional and SUPER NICE, but they were so calm which I found refreshing! They were able to interpret the hair and makeup looks that I was looking for in very little conversation. Everything turned out perfect, but I still looked like myself which I really liked, and I didn't have to do any "touch-ups" or "tweak's" at all. My hair and makeup even held through a photo shoot in the water (I highly recommend the airbrush foundation)!

I don't wear much makeup but Liz did a great job of making me look like "me" on my wedding day, just a super duper version of me! Really really happy. And she was a great, calm and fun person to have around on the day.

Liz is the best! I was pleased with the bridal makeup, and my friends and family who had their makeup done by her looked gorgeous.
She's great to work with, too. I didn't have a planner so it was very important for me to have responsive vendors.
