I hired Matteo to capture a very special and elaborate engagement, and I am happy to say that not only was the entire experience a delight, but Matteo actually played a key part in my pulling it off successfully. From the very moment I first got in touch with him he was incredibly helpful in every respect. I am particularly grateful for his help figuring out the logistics, from suggesting possible venues with their respective pros and cons, to helping with the scheduling to ensure we'd get the best light possible, and even helping select a specific boat to get the best pictures. Being from Canada, planning such an important and delicate event from abroad was a daunting task, and being able to rely on Matteo's expertise and experience as a local was invaluable.
Even though by the time of the actual proposal my partner strongly suspected what was about to happen and that we would be meeting up with a photographer, Matteo played his role in the "surprise" to perfection so that the moment I actually proposed to my partner was completely natural, and captured on camera as such.
I hired Matteo for a total of 3 hours covering 3 different settings, and for the entire duration of the shooting he directed us in a way that worked really well for us. We were very comfortable the whole time, and the pictures we got back are a testament to Matteo's excellent direction.
The pictures themselves are really lovely. I had requested a romantic, cinematic, vintage vibe and Matteo definitely delivered. He was pretty quick sending us a handful of previews a few days after the event and we were immediately excited to see more. He sent us a link to the full gallery within about two weeks and we were blown away by both the quality and quantity of the work. It's so good we're thinking of having almost all of it made into a book-format photo album in addition to getting a number of shots we particularly like printed and framed.
I am very happy with what we got for the price I paid, and I should add that communication with Matteo was excellent the entire time and that he was very responsive.Matteo Cuzzola Photography's reply:

Great Photographer
I felt so lucky to have Matteo as my pre-wedding photographer. He is so professional, responsive and helpful and put my overseas prewedding photo shooting at ease. Our train from Milan got cancelled and Matteo was so kind to give us a ride to Lake Como. We did not have very high expectation on the photos because the weather was bad but the photos turned out well. Matteo did an amazing job shooting our elopement in Lake Como. He was very personable and professional. We were a small group and he made everyone feel comfortable. He was so easy to work with and made our day extra special, not to mention the pictures turned out amazing!

Look no further than Matteo. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Matteo for a surprise proposal shoot in Lake Como, and I can't praise his skills and professionalism enough!! From start to finish, Matteo's communication was fantastic; he responded promptly and efficiently, making the planning process a breeze.
Matteo went above and beyond to ensure the proposal went smoothly. He took the initiative to speak with the staff at the Villa and even arranged the surprise shooting, going the extra mile to coordinate with the ticket office so that the whole moment remained a complete surprise for my partner.
The results of the photo shoot were nothing short of breathtaking. Matteo's talent behind the lens truly shines, capturing the essence of our love and the beauty of Lake Como. Our families were equally impressed with the photos, and we couldn't be happier with the cherished memories he created for us.
One of the most impressive aspects of working with Matteo was his agility and adaptability. When weather conditions were less than ideal on the original shooting day, he showed great flexibility and rescheduled the session to ensure we got the perfect shots.
Matteo's knowledge of the area was evident throughout the shoot. He put us at ease, assuring us that we were in good hands. It felt like we were taking a romantic walk with a friend, and he made the whole experience delightful and stress-free.
Above all, Matteo's kind and gentle demeanor made the shoot an absolute pleasure. He made us feel comfortable and natural, and it was lovely introducing my brand new fiancée to him.

Effortless and fabulous!
We are extremely happy with our pictures! It felt so easy and natural to be photographed by Matteo! The pictures of the celebration turned out great as well, although at no point we felt “photographed”. So everything turned out very natural ☺️ we highly recommend Matteo! -

I am thrilled to write a glowing review for Matteo, A photographer who truly went above and beyond to capture the perfect shots for my marriage proposal.
From our first consultation, it was clear that Matteo was passionate about his work and dedication to providing the best possible service. He took the time to understand my vision and listened to my ideas, while also offering his creative input and suggestions. Such as the perfect location and an amazing videographer.
On the day of the event, Matteo arrived early to set up and ensure everything was in place for the perfect shots. Throughout the day, he was professional and discreet, capturing candid moments and beautiful portraits without ever being intrusive or disruptive.
But what impressed me was the extra effort he put in to ensure that every shot was perfect. From adjusting our position to ensure the sun hit off our skin perfectly lighting to repositioning us to avoid people being in the background. Matteo was always looking for ways to make each shot even better.
The final result was stunning. Matteo's photos were truly works of art, capturing the essence and emotion of the event in a way that exceeded my expectations. I have received countless compliments on the photos and have recommended Matteo to everyone I know.

Simply the best!
Matteo is a real professional, we couldn’t have chosen a better photographer for our wedding.
He delivered us the perfect photo shoot, all of the pictures are extremely beautiful with the perfect balance of naturalness and sophistication.
He was able to capture all the happiness and emotions of our most important day and we are so grateful for that. The pictures are of such a high quality and standard that we have received many compliments from all our friends and family.
Matteo was really kind and friendly since the very first email exchange. He took time explaining how he works and understanding my needs and vision as well as answering all my questions. His strong customer focus definitely stood out to me. On the lead up to the wedding Matteo made contact regularly to discuss requirements and the schedule for the wedding day. This really helped putting us at ease during the planning process.
On the day of the wedding Matteo was fantastic, he was able to read the room and adjust his take to different personalities and situations thus making us feel very comfortable - it was a great and fun experience for everyone, guests included.
Turn around was also very quick. We received our pictures less than a month after the event and we are absolutely in love with the final product.
We wouldn’t hesitate recommending Matteo to anyone.

Matteo was fabulous from start to finish. From our initial contact he was excellent at communicating and answered all of our questions promptly. Throughout the build up to the wedding, Matteo made contact regularly to discuss our requirements for the wedding day, and put us at ease through the whole planning process. On the day, it was like welcoming a friend to our wedding as he made us feel relaxed and comfortable from the first moment. He was wonderful with our little boy and captured his personality perfectly in the photos. He made him part of the experience, which resulted in our family shots being wonderful. We are delighted with the photos that we had as a couple and we feel he captured our day perfectly. He was flexible with our requests and we received our photographs in good time. Excellent, flexible and professional
Coming from the UK to get married in Italy was never going to be easy, however we found Matteo to be extremely helpful and professional in his approach to help keep us at ease. Not only that but due to our original wedding date being postponed due to Covid-19, and the date changes not once but three times, Matteo was very accommodating, helpful and understanding during the whole stressful process.
Throughout the whole day of our August wedding Matteo coached us through everything. The end product was some absolutely stunning pictures which truly captured the essence and ambience of our amazing day from start to finish.

Incredible Photographer!!!
Fantastic service!!! Wow we cannot thank Matteo enough, the service he provided to us on our wedding day was amazing. Matteo was a highlight of the whole day for us, he was so professional and made us comfortable. We watched the photo montage video quite a few times already and absolutely love it! We also went through all the photos and are thrilled at the hidden moments found through your lens!
