About this vendor
I’m Marco Simonelli, an Italian destination wedding photographer based in Venice and working throughout Italy.
For twenty-five years, I have photographed people, relationships and the moments that happen without being arranged. Seventeen years living and working in the United States shaped the way I communicate across cultures, collaborate with planners and move through unfamiliar rooms.
I photograph every wedding personally. My approach brings documentary observation together with thoughtful direction when it helps. I read the room, learn its rhythm and pay attention to who belongs to whom—close enough to understand, quiet enough not to interrupt.
Coverage can include the wedding day, welcome dinners, pool parties, brunches and the other gatherings around it. Depending on the size and logistics of the celebration, I may work alone or with a trusted second photographer or assistant.
Photographs are individually edited and delivered in high resolution through a private online gallery. Portrait Lounge and custom wedding books made in Italy can also be included.
I accept a limited number of weddings each year so that every celebration receives my personal attention.
You do not need to perform. You can be present. I will pay attention.

Beautiful photos and amazing experience
Our photos were not only gorgeous, but also truly captured the beauty of the location, the personalities of our wedding party and the magic of the day. He kept us smiling and laughing the entire time, putting everyone at ease.
The most amazing part of the day had to be the second line parade we did at the end of the ceremony to surprise our guests and family. While fantastic fun for us and our guests, it is extremely challenging to capture a bride and groom leading a parade of a jazz band and 100 guests marching to When the Saints Go Marching In! Marco captured it all beautifully.
For the reception, Marco suggested a photo booth and it was a huge hit. We got so many great shots with our guests that we printed and sent them out with our Christmas cards.
