There are not enough stars to give Matt Whytsell Photography! Matt is absolutely fantastic. Matt and his second shooter James shot our wedding, and the photos are stunningly beautiful. We could not be happier! An important aspect of Matt, and James as well, is that he’s funny and he’s fantastic at putting you at ease. My husband and I are both incredibly awkward in photos and not at all photogenic, so it was really important to us to have a photographer who we could be comfortable with and who would help us look natural in photos. Matt is absolutely that guy! Additionally, we chose not to have a wedding planner or day of coordinator, so we were planning everything ourselves. Matt was sooo helpful in helping me plan out the timing of the day and how best to keep the evening moving and the party rolling. He has, of course, been at hundreds of weddings. His advice was all spot-on, and our wedding and reception were perfect! Matt responds to e-mails, texts, etc very quickly and he’s super available. He also got us our wedding photos back 2 weeks after our wedding! Which was perfect because we could sit down and go through them right after we got back from our honeymoon, and they are so perfect. Matt and James absolutely killed the photography of our wedding. Our photos are beautiful, stunning, and magical. You cannot go wrong with Matt! -

These guys are the best!!
Matt and James were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond at every step!! From engagement photos to wedding day they made it all fun and still got amazing photos that we will cherish always. They took in to account pictures that we wanted but knew what they were doing and made everything look amazing. They are a blast to work with and I would highly recommend them to any and everyone! -

Fantastic photographer and funny to boot
We are so thrilled that we went with Matt as our photographer. Neither my husband nor I are very comfortable in front of a camera, and Matt did a fantastic job at putting us at ease. He was funny and easy going, and created the most amazing shots! He traveled for our engagement pics and was so patient with us the whole time. He had our sign-in book read in a few days after picking the shots. Same for our wedding album. He answers emails quickly. His whole team was so professional, and he really helped to make our wedding day special. I can't say enough good things about him and his team. -

Matt and James were incredibly attentive and knew what they wanted to accomplish. We can not wait to see the moments they captured! They were fun, professional, and kept the ball rolling with a big wedding party and family. I will be working with them again for other big life moments. -

I’m so glad I chose Matt as my wedding photographer! Matt and James were so much fun and put everyone at ease. In addition to being great photographers, they provided guidance and advice throughout the day, going above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly! And the photos were beautiful (and Matt got them to me within just a few weeks of the wedding)! -

Matt and James helped make our wedding magical, capturing every special moment and making sure we were taking in and enjoying every second. As the bride and my groom and friends agree, they helped us stay calm and took care of everything for us, could not have asked for a better group to help us. Matt did our wedding photos and we just received them. We are completely BLOWN AWAY! They are better than we could have ever imagined them. From the moment we started planning with Matt it was the easiest process. He listened to our wants and needs and he made it happen. He traveled for our engagement photos to st Augustine and they turned out so beautiful. His communication before, during and after helped the engagement session go flawlessly and the wedding day went off without a single hitch. I would use Matt 1000x over again for our wedding and we can’t wait for him to help us capture all the next milestones of our lives. Our photos are beautiful and it’s wonderful being able to look at our photos and relive the day all over again. We are so thankful for Matt and his team! -

He made my (now) husband feel comfortable taking pictures which is a real feat, and he helped make sure the wedding run smoothly in addition to taking pictures! Anyone would be lucky to have Matt working with them!

Debra Sent on 06/24/2017Matt recently did our engagement pictures and we love them! We had to reschedule once due to Florida rain, and then got caught in it the second time. Matt was always accommodating and professional, even with the not so ideal (rainy, humid) conditions. The editing of the pictures was beautiful and we are very happy. -

Lorna Sent on 09/22/2016Matt will be my photographer for life! Unlike me, my husband does not like taking photographs. Having him post for pictures for an hour would be interesting. Right after meeting Matt he made us both feel so comfortable. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully and our wedding photos were even better! I didn't even notice him or his team throughout the wedding. I was amazed he got all the shots that he did because he was never in the way. Can't wait to hire him for pregnancy pictures and family pictures! -

Nothing less than Amazing!
Matt is fabulous! He was able to shoot our engagement session in an hour and we went all around Downtown. He took 900+ photos! They were perfect! If you live in Memphis he doesn’t charge for travel! -
