We became familiar with Matt's work when he covered my cousin's wedding in 2022. I am not exaggerating when I say that her photos were so outstanding that, 2 years later, we considered choosing my daughter's wedding date around Matt's availability. Matt makes people comfortable and captures them authentically, and he finds the artistry in certain scenery that the ordinary person does not. We're thrilled to have such gorgeous photos from my daughter's wedding day (and with very prompt turnaround also!). Hiring Matt is an absolute no brainer! -

Best photographer ever!
Newest members of the Matt Gruber Fan Club! I have nothing but great things to say about Matt. We booked him for our wedding this year and that was probably the best decision we made. First off, he is the nicest guy ever. He made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. He was so easy to work with. We are so blown away by the photos that he took. I could not be happier with the way they turned out. He was able to capture all of our favorite moments and memories from the day. Every picture came out phenomenal. We will truly cherish our album forever! -

Do not hesitate to book Matt and his team for your wedding. Matt is not only extremely talented and his photography is incredible, he is a great person to work with. We knew working with him for our engagement shoot and on our wedding day would be great and it was. He has a. professional demeanor and will also joke around and make you feel at ease on your big day, while making sure to capture all the important shots you ask for. Plus he takes amazing candid pictures which are really special. We also had our dog Leo in our wedding and he got quite possible the most amazing picture of him ever and sent it to us the next day! The quality of our wedding and engagement photos exceeded our expectations and working with him will make your wedding day a very enjoyable experience. Thank you again Matt (and Dan!) for all your hard work! -

Matt is professional while still being fun! He’s laid back and really knows how to capture a moment. One of the best decisions I made for my wedding was hiring Matt!! He was such a pleasure to work with. The pictures came back quick and I absolutely adored every single one. I have to make an album which now may be impossible bc they are ALL SO GOOD!! I highly highly recommend using Matt!! -

Let's face it, photos can be awkward. Photos can take up too much time of one's special day. Not with Matt! His humorous yet professional demeanor kept us relaxed throughout the entire process. He was flexible with us throughout the pandemic, would quickly respond to any question or request that we had, and was unbelievable on our wedding day. His photos exceeded our expectations and were exactly the quality we had hoped for. Last but not least, we straight up had fun with him and his colleague Joe on the big day. He made sure our wants/needs were met, all while capturing beautiful moments both scripted and candidly. We cannot possibly endorse Matt Gruber any more! Give him a shot if you are looking for someone reliable and talented to capture your special day! -

Matt is amazing!!
Matt was our photographer for our wedding and he could not have done a better job! Matt is so kind, responsive, professional and his work speaks for itself. He has a calming presence and a laid back vibe that really helps everyone feel stress free. We received a sneak peak of our photos and we are truly amazed by his work. Amazing and Talented!!!
Matt (and Joe) were absolutely AMAZING to work with and we are in love with all of our pictures!!! It was almost 100 degrees on our wedding day, but Matt was so efficient and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. He is extremely talented and so flexible and easy to work with. We cannot thank him enough for capturing our day so perfectly. You spend your entire wedding day with your photographer, and it was such a pleasure spending it with Matt. -

Not only is Matt extremely talented, he is also an amazing person! We booked Matt in September of 2019 for our March 2020 wedding, we were incredibly lucky that he was available. From the first time, we spoke over the phone I felt confident that Matt would capture our day perfectly. Matt went above and beyond. We live in DC and wanted to do our engagement photos there, he researched what permits we needed and even rescheduled everything for us when it rained on our our scheduled date. I also showed him a picture I found on a blog and he was able to recreate it! Fast forward to March 2020 and Matt was extremely supportive during the pandemic. Matt rescheduled with us 3 times and was always available to answer questions. Matt photographed our wedding ceremony in Jan and our pictures look like they could be in magazine! If Matt is available for your wedding you should immediately book him. You will not be disappointed! -

Matt’s pictures speak for themselves
Matt is everything we wanted in a wedding photographer; professional, laid back, creative and wildly talented. My husband and I were interested in 2 photographers but after one meeting with Matt, we booked him on the spot and didn’t bother setting up a meeting with the other. He went with the flow when our wedding plan changed due to COVID and even spent some time on the phone reassuring us that he’d be there to capture our special day no matter how it turned out (venue or backyard). Something else that I loved about his work is how he captures a lot of candids and wasn’t overwhelming with directions on how to pose (I get really anxious so I appreciated his calming energy). When we received previews, I cried. He captured our day so beautifully and we will forever be so grateful. Photography was our most expensive vendor as we knew these pictures would be held close to our heart; Matt is worth every single penny. Highly, highly recommend. -

Matt is not only a great photographer, but an amazing business person. As an event planner, Matt is top notch and I don't say that lightly. At the moment he and I are navigating the murky waters of COVID-19 and he is so beautifully handling the situation and communicating well with my clients which ease their stress over the situation. Matt and Craig were awesome to work with. They made us feel relaxed and helped us through posing since we're both not the most comfortable in front of a camera. Matt Gruber is one of the best in the biz. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he is an overall caring person, and that's the best combination to have when it comes to a wedding photographer.
From beginning to end, Matt was organized and on top of every detail. He was able to wrangle our huge bridal party and braved the windiest, coldest day in November to take our beautiful pictures outside.

Luckily we got married during the week so he was free. As soon as we met with him I knew we had to book. He is awesome and so is Kelly. He is awesome and we are so glad we picked him for our wedding. Sofia Sent on 10/31/2013Matt Gruber Photography, what can I say other than AMAZING!!! He has a keen eye for what is beautiful. I'm not into those staged and centered shots and he totally got me! He asked us what we were looking for and he took his time to listen. He wanted to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. He took photos of myself and my husband while we were just talking and laughing- those photos came out perfect, as though they belong in a magazine. I show people my photos all the time because I am so proud of them!
