I can't express enough how fortunate we were to have had Matt capture the most important day of our lives. From the first time we worked with him for our engagement photos, it was evident that this was not just a photographer but an artist with an extraordinary talent for capturing moments in a way that transcends the ordinary.
Matt possesses a unique ability to turn every frame into a masterpiece. Their skill in composing shots, playing with light, and capturing the essence of the moment is unparalleled. The photos from our wedding day are nothing short of breathtaking; they are magical! Each one is a testament to their incredible eye for detail and artistic vision.
Beyond their technical prowess, Matt (and Amy) have a remarkable way of making you feel at ease in front of the camera. They effortlessly guided us through the process, allowing us to be ourselves and capturing the genuine emotions that unfolded throughout the day. Matt and Amy did a fantastic job! Highly recommend. The collection of photos did a really great job of capturing all the important moments and the general vibe as well. There were quite a few shots that were more artistic, and look like they could be out of a magazine. Everything looks super professional. They also arranged our photo album and did a great job on that too! -

Choosing Matt and Amy to photograph our wedding was the easiest and best decision we made through the whole 3 year process. We booked them first thing after we got engaged and they hung with us through two different postponements (thanks COVID) and became friends rather than just photographers. My husband hates taking pictures and they even made him feel comfortable through 3 different sessions (including the big day), so they clearly can work miracles too. Out of 1500+ pictures, I can’t find a single one that I don’t absolutely ADORE. Not only did they capture every single moment perfectly, they helped keep everything running smoothly and kept track of our friends and family, so I didn’t have to. Never mind the QUICK turnaround despite having shot multiple weddings the same weekend as ours. I will NEVER hesitate booking them again for any and everything. We love you guys!
PS. We've moved to Nebraska since the wedding and I've seriously considered paying them to fly out and do a shoot in our new house. If that tells you anything about how amazing they are. So like...just book them and thank me later -

Engagement photos
Best professional photos I have ever taken! Matthew is truly gifted at what he does. He and his wife Amy work great together as a team and communicated with us better than any other photographer I have worked with. Matthew did our engagement photos not only did they come out AMAZING but he had them back very fast! I couldn't be happier with the turnout. -

Matt and Amy made all the wedding planning so much easier and fun. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we had experienced a lot of challenges. From canceling to rescheduling to rescheduling again, they have been very accommodating. Amy responds quickly to emails and has really great suggestions as far as vendors, engagement shoots and wedding venues. Matt is fantastic at making sure we pose naturally and have fun during the shoot. All our pictures came out amazing! They are just wonderful people and easy to work it. Amy and Matt are, indeed, a perfect team! We love working with them and will definitely recommend them! -

We're so glad we found Matt and Amy! We first met Matt for a couples session last fall. From the get-go he was super friendly and made sure we were comfortable. He made it easy! From the moment we met Matt my fiancee and I knew we would pick him as our photographer. Matt is the nicest guy and is very talented at what he does. He picked some random leaves and twigs and then piled them together and came up with a beautiful photo of my Fiancee's engagement ring! He is super easy to work with, and that helps when you aren't comfortable with your photos being taken like we were. We recently had our engagement session done, and he absolutely crushed it. If I put everything I wanted to say good about Matt on here it would be too long. So I will just say that, you should absolutely choose Matt Blasing, it has been the easiest and best choice of wedding planning so far. -

Matt and Amy are AMAZING! Throughout the day, they helped ensure everything was moving forward! They did much more than photograph our wedding! Matt and Amy made everything easy and seamless throughout family photos, etc. and made everyone feel comfortable. Amy and Matt are by far some of the best people! Working with them it’s been like working with long time friends! We couldn’t be more grateful that they are our photographers. When everything was changing with the pandemic, they made sure to get in touch with us to assure us that they were along for the ride! Our day changed drastically (a few times) but they were flexible and helped make our day beautiful! Our little backyard wedding was captured perfectly and we can’t wait for them to be apart of our 1 year/ Do-Over Reception! -

Amazing Photographers with an eye for Details
Our wedding photos were more than we could have imagined and choosing Matt & Amy to capture our Day was simply the best decision!
We had a short Wedding Ceremony in the Botanical Gardens followed by an afternoon photo session by the Bosque. Matt was great at putting us at ease throughout the shoots and doing whatever he could to get the magical shot. More than once, we found him hunkered behind a tree, lifting his arms high above his head, or stretched out on the ground to get the perfect photo. And our pictures are worth 1,000 words! He took photos from nearly every angle, yet didn't interrupt the flow of the day.
Matt was very knowledgeable about lighting--using several lenses to create depth--and body positioning that photographed well and looked natural. Matt focused on details like the sunlight flittering on our rings and the textures on our clothes, which came out beautifully when zoomed in. Plus, I have quite the knack for blinking a lot in pictures; yet, Matt captured our day with my eyes open and sparkling!
It was such a smooth process getting together for our initial consultation and sharing our vision for our Wedding Day. Amy helped manage several logistics in a professional and timely manner, and offered suggestions about the best time of day for photos when some of our plans changed last minute. Matt and Amy are not only an incredibly talented photography duo; they're really great people, as well, whose energy and passion for photography shines through their work. We will definitely seek them out for our next life milestone!

Incredible people
We are so, so overdue on reviewing Matt and Amy Blasing, as our wedding was a few months ago. But, without a hint of exaggeration, they were absolutely exceptional. From the get-go, they were open, friendly, prompt, and willing to work with us. We weren't sure what we wanted until we talked with them, and then suddenly after that, the decision was easy. We were coming from out of town on multiple occasions, and they flexed to give us their personal time more than once. Come day of, they took not only the most gorgeous photos of our ceremony and families, but they were there for us in every way, whether it was Amy offering to carry our things, bringing water, or just plain reassuring us when we were about to come unglued--it was invaluable having them on our side. We couldn't be more happy with our experience, and we're so grateful to both of you for what you did for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! -

I cannot say enough good things about Matt Blasing Photography! The level of care, consideration, and professionalism we received are beyond compare.
We met Matt and his wife, Amy, at an open house they put on. We wound up chatting with Matt & Amy for over an HOUR regarding our barely-conceptualized thoughts for our wedding, but also about our common loves of Disney, Harry Potter, and The Walking Dead! We felt instantly comfortable with them and knew we needed to work with them on our day.
We had the BEST engagement shoot and felt even more comfortable - Matt's photography style and easy-to-follow directions kept us giggling throughout the session and from being nervous about smooching in front of a camera.
Leading up to our wedding, Matt & Amy were very communicative and agreed to meet up to chat about our day (even though they were hectically busy!).
And on the day! They showed up promptly, provided much-needed support and direction, made both my (now) wife and myself feel like we were stars, and followed up on every suggestion we had. And the laughter!! I had worried I might look too preoccupied in most of the photos (worrying about what comes next) when I had zero need to worry. Matt & Amy kept us laughing and smiling the whole time (even while handling my difficult & opinionated relatives).
Working with Matt & Amy felt effortless and the results are GORGEOUS! They took so many pictures of our day that I don't even have a top 10 favorites - it's more like a top 30 (or almost all of them)! And we have the pleasure of knowing that whenever we need beautiful pictures or a friendly face, all we need do is reach out and they'll be there for us.
Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! -

Picking a wedding photographer is a huge decision. Just like the first date, there is a lot of pressure for everything to be perfect. Lucky for you, the Blasing’s are perfect! Here’s why……
My wife Jessica met Matt and Amy at a wedding expo. She was immediately drawn in by the high quality work and friendly smiles of the dynamic duo. It was easy to see that Matt is no “shutter bug”, he is a behind the lens professional who truly takes pride knowing this work is his bread and shutter.
Amy is the backbone of the entire operation. She knows exactly how to position couples so Matt can capture that sweet light. We enjoyed our engagement session, it felt like a couple old friends were asking us to stop and pose.
When it came time for the wedding, they truly delivered and went above and beyond. The Blasing’s worked with us to ensure our timeline was realistic and efficient. Without their guidance, we would have missed so many beautiful memories. After the wedding they were quick to deliver a sneak peek for our eager eyes. The final product was incredible!
I recommend this vendor without any hesitation. On you big day, you might have one or two hiccups but the photographers will not be one of them, I promise. A wise investment you will never regret.

Amazing Photographs and People :)
We were so lucky to have found Matt Blasing Photography . Him and his wife were so very helpful throughout every aspect of planning our wedding. To be honest they were completely in-disposable on our big day, and the day would have gone a lot less smoothly without their help and organization. We would have changed the date of our wedding to ensure they were our photographers; because at the end of the day, our pictures were better than I ever could have hoped for, and we gained not only life long photographers, but friends. We were so pleased with not only sheer number of edited pictures that we received, that captured even the most minute details of our day, but the fact that we received all of our edited pictures while we were on our honeymoon, just before the holidays, just over a week after our wedding! It is such a special blessing to be able to re-live our day every time we see our pictures :) They were the first vendor that we booked, and they should be yours too! -

It has been 11 days since we became Mr. and Mrs. and we couldn’t have survived the day without Matt and Amy. Let me just say that Matt is the Dumbledore of photography! With Amy’s help, they both have mastered the art of stopping time in a single photo.
Take it back 10 months ago when we saw Matt’s photos in Perfect Wedding Guide where we were left mesmerized. His photography style is what attracted us the most because in that moment, we knew Matt Blasing Photography was our champion. From the first day we reached out to Matt and Amy, they were quick to respond and super helpful during our phone consultation. Before the consultation was through, we knew we had the right people to capture our memories so we booked them on the spot.
Fast forward to our engagement session in October, we initially had Katie as our photographer however she was not able to do it so Amy called us a month before our session and told us Matt would be taking our pictures. It was such a great surprise!! My husband and I were very grateful to have Matt as our photographer. He has such a friendly demeanor that makes taking pictures so fun. During our engagement shoot, we planned to go to Corrales however due to my tardiness Matt suggested an alternate location which was super close to the location we were in at the time. Let me just say, despite this being an alternate location – we loved every single one of our engagement photos! The colors were just amazing and we couldn’t have had it any better.
Come wedding day, Matt and Amy arrived and took charge (which is a bonus). Not only are they a dream photography team but they also provided so much more to the mix. Amy put the veil in my hair because we didn’t know how to do it, and throughout the whole day they kept track of timing of events which was definitely something we needed considering we didn’t have a wedding planner. We received our wedding day photos during our honeymoon so it made our time together even more perfect. We love our pictures soooooo much!!!
What more can I say about Matt Blasing Photography…Matt and Amy are simply the best. Once you meet them, they’ll treat you like family through and through.

This was the easiest decision we have made so far with wedding planning! As soon as I got in contact with Matt and Amy I knew I didn't have to look anywhere else. They were quick to respond to all my emails and answer any questions I had. We had our engagement shoot with Matt and he was so great and easy to work with. We received our pictures much quicker then expected and they came out even better then I could have imagined! Not only does their work show for itself but they have been extra helpful offering up help and vendor recommendations along the way, which helps so much when you've never planned a wedding before. I never realized I could be so excited about our photographer but they made it happen and I have no doubts that our wedding day will be just as wonderful with them! -

Amanda Sent on 09/16/2018I cannot describe how happy we were with Matt and Amy! If I got married a thousand times (never going to happen haha) I would ALWAYS choose them. Before we were even engaged, I followed Matt Blasing Photography on Instagram. The pictures that they capture are so beautiful, it's not even fair to compare them to other photographers! Within a week of my husband proposing, we met with Matt and Amy in their studio and as soon as we walked to the car I declared they would be our photographers and there was no need to discuss it further! Our engagement photos were perfection and left us in anticipation of our big day. We received our completed album (with over 1000 photos!) within a week of us being married!!!! Once I opened the link and started to look at the pictures, I could not help but cry. They captured every important moment that day from not only 1 angle, but 2. I forwarded the email to all our immediate family and I have received so many texts and calls telling me how awesome the pictures are. I made a lot of decisions when it came to the wedding, but choosing Matt Blasing Photography as our photographer was the best decision I made!!! Words truly cannot express our gratitude or appreciation to them. Matt and Amy, thank you for making our day completely stress free and capturing everything we could have ever wanted or dreamed of!!!

Change your wedding date if you have to, he and his wife Amy were the best of the vendors we hired for our June wedding and we can't stop looking at our nearly 1000 photos they delivered to us only 2 1/2 weeks after our day. BOOM. A wedding day is stressful enough as it is, and having the expertise that Matt and Amy bring to the table made our day awesome and unforgettable. Seriously. Hire. Matt Blasing. Michelle Sent on 06/01/2018Matt and Amy are amazing! I first heard about them when I attended a bridal event and my fiancé and I made an appointment to meet with them. They were so nice and genuine, we could tell they really cared about what they do. We booked them right away to photograph our wedding. Matt made us feel so comfortable when we did our engagement shoot at the Botanical Gardens. They helped us decide on our DJ and gave us good advice on picking our other venders. They were very responsive when we reached out with any questions or concerns and usually sent emails back within the same day.
For our wedding this month May 19th they were both awesome! They were so efficient with getting all our pictures done with family, friends and our bridal party. Amy was even generous enough to wipe our little ring bearers nose when he had a little sneezing fit to make sure he look great for the photos. Matt helped my maid of honor tie my corset too making sure it was perfect. My husband and I met playing soccer and they were happy to incorporate this into our pictures together (what a fun silly moment!). They were able to get our gallery to us while we were still on our honeymoon and it was such a treat to look through all of the pictures and re-live our wonderfully happy day. All of the pictures are so beautiful. Thank you Matt and Amy!!

Joel Sent on 01/19/2018At the time of writing this, Matt and Amy have a five star review - there's a reason for that. Their service is top notch, and both of them are stellar photographers.
When I first decided to propose to my fiance, I knew that I wanted it photographed professionally. She had come across Matt and Amy's photography before hand, and had mentioned that she liked their work. When I planned the surprise proposal, I called Matt and Amy. From the start they were beyond helpful and responsive. Keep in mind I started to plan this during the height of wedding season, something I didn't realize at the time, so the fact that they were diligent about responding during the busiest time of year gave me a lot of confidence.
The day of the proposal, it started to rain, that morning I had a text message from Matt detailing some plans of how we would work around the rain - the hallmark of someone with experience. Once it came time to propose, there were some hiccups and I was worried we were blown. Matt and Amy rolled with the punches and everything worked out perfectly.
We just recently did our engagement photos, which Matt was kind enough to freeze himself to get some amazing shots of us.
After both photo shoots, Matt and Amy delivered pictures in a very short time afterwards. This is a stark contrast to many friends and family members that have had to wait an exorbitant amount of time to get photos back.
They aren't the cheapest photographers in town, but they are worth more than they are charging. When you're photographing a day, which will likely be a blur for you, having a quality photographer that catches every moment for you to look back upon is one of the most important things you can have in my opinion. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is applicable, and in this case Matt and Amy are a bargain.

They made it so easy to set up a good location, they were fast to respond to my every question and they even helped me find a hair/makeup artist to make our vision come to life. I knew from my research that only Matt would be able to capture the love exactly as I had envisioned it. He made us comfortable and we enjoyed every minute as we posed around Old Town Albuquerque, and he took the time to find ways to incorporate every detail that I was looking for. Sydney Sent on 11/14/2017Where do I even begin with the absolutely amazing experience that I have had with Matt Blasing Photography. I heard of Matt Blasing through a close friend who hired Matt and Amy for her wedding! I immediately fell in love with all of her wedding photographs and began doing more research and looking into Matt's website, Facebook, and Instagram page. To this day I have not seen a photograph taken by Matt that I do not love! At my first wedding expo my fiance and I went straight to their booth to see if they were available on our wedding day! We were so excited to connect with them and they were the first vendor that we booked for our wedding and I am more and more grateful after every interaction we have with Matt and Amy that they were available. They make the sometimes difficult and stressful wedding planning so much easier because it is clear that they are so very passionate about what they do and they stay so professional and organized. I have never waited more than a few hours for an email response which is incredibly relieving that with how busy they are they still take the time to make every bride and groom feel like a priority! We had our engagement pictures taken a few weeks ago and Matt was so accommodating! He agreed to photograph us in two locations so that we could include our dog in our pictures! The morning went so smoothly and again, it has just made us more grateful that we will have him to photograph our wedding and bring the same calm, cool, and collected presence that he did the day of our engagement pictures! Oh, and not to mention the fact that we received our edited engagement pictures back so very quickly! Matt and Amy take the time to make every bride and groom feel special and comfortable in every aspect. They have been incredible, I cant say enough how thankful I am that when I look back at my wedding day I know that I will have the most unique and highest quality pictures to capture every important aspect of our big day!

Donna Sent on 11/06/2016We choose the right people for the job! Matt and Amy were one of many photographers I found through the wedding guides locally and online. My routine was to look for one who advertised locally, look at their website, email them and see how personable they were and if their prices were outrageous or not for what we were asking for.
Not only did Matt and Amy email me right back, but they were very kind, excited, informative and ready to meet! I was nervous and all of the other photographers seemed very professional but not really my type of people. But Matt and Amy truly make a wonderful team. Amy is very into meeting us as a couple and talkative like myself and Matt is very professional and is serious about his photography. As a team they are PERFECT.
Now for the prices, you seriously get what you ask for AND MORE with this couple! Matt & Amy go above and beyond to make their couples happy and they make sure we run ON TIME. Matt even helped put our lights up at our wedding when we were running late and my bridesmaids and I were desperately trying to put everything up in time. He just jumped in and being so tall he didn't need a ladder most of the time! Darn you Matt!!
We loved our engagement photos, no question about that, but we just got our wedding photos and we had a blast going through all of them one by one and just sharing our own memories with one another of our wedding day.
Over all we couldn’t have picked a better photographer, Matt and Amy put their hearts into their work. They are personable; they are kind, hard-working and will earn our business again in the future (hopefully for family photos!) We love how they work as a team and how they directed us during the photos for the best possible shots. We like that Matt is original and tries new things with us.
I am so happy to have found you two, Ben and I are not social butterflies and you made us feel more at ease.

First things first, I met Amy and Matt at a wedding show at Buffalo Thunder in Santa Fe, they drew me in immediately because there little booth was surrounded by various people. There work must be great right? I walked over (more like shoved) my way through the swarm of brides and looked at some of there work in the beautiful bound black book. There photos were captivating they captured each couples genuine smile and beauty. I was already sold when Mrs Amy came over and asked me some questions, I was drawn to her right away, from her bright smile to her warm an inviting tone and of course her love of Disney. We set up our appointment and met with them about a month later. That's when my husband and I really made our decision we sat in there studio for what seemed like only minutes talking about our vision then getting sidetracked with our eerily similar ways of meeting our hubby's (so maybe Amy and I were just doing the talking).
They were the first vendor we booked even before our venue and I am so happy I did. They were both responsive to my vast amount of questions and were open to every idea I had and even recommended a few vendors that I should look at. Now I am a type A bride by April 2018 I had all of my wedding planned and just needed to pay everything off. For our engagement photos, I wanted to have them at our first date spot and take some pictures with my black lab who turned 14 years old. Matt was able to take pictures of my dog walking around and smiling and capture some of the most fun and intimate photos at one of my favorite spots. What I love the most is that Matt was able to give me the last good photos I have with my dog as he passed away a few months later . As we approached our wedding day Matt and Amy sent me a questionnaire to fill out that basically gave me a timeline of how our Big Day was going to go and who I wanted pictures with.
Now October 13, 2018 happened and I was calm as a cucumber and Matt and Amy came in with there positive and fun energy and took photos of me with two of my best friends getting ready. I will cherish those photos since I haven't seen my childhood best friend since I was 10 years old. It still makes me giddy inside when I look at them. I wasn't nervous about the big day I think I was more nervous about how Matt and Amy could make me beautiful (I tend to self degrade and have body issues galore) When I finally got my photos which FYI they had my wedding photos done in a gallery by the time we boarded our plane to our honeymoon. I was blown away by the 300+ photos they provided, they captured all of my family and my friends in one beautiful day between our ceremony and first dance to our reception.
They even gave me my Hollywood Flare that I didn't even know I needed. What I loved the most is that they truly made me feel beautiful and captured every loving look my husband gave me, from his sweet smile to his gentle embrace for our first dance.
