Exceptionally Great Videographer

Cliff Matheson provided us with a video that we will cherish for a lifetime. He was very professional to work with, and accommodated our needs, and really got to know us and our daughter. We engaged Cliff for a bat mitzvah and he needed to come in advance to do the videography of the service, and then the entire evening celebration. He was there early to set up and be prepared each time, and helped us in capturing this very special occasion, the joy of the day and our family. The video was fantastic, and in fact, even more special than the photographs. Cliff delivered an exceptional product. I would strongly recommend him.

Arlington National Cemetary

Cliff Mathison recorded the inurnment service for my brother at Arlington National Cemetary. Due to pre-existing health issues, and the covid-19 pandemic, we could not attend the service. I contacted other vendors who quoted exorbitant rates, and package services that were not wanted. When I contacted Cliff Mathison, he gave a few options with reasonable rates. He did an excellent job capturing all of the service, and the day of uploaded the footage privately for us to view and share the service with other family and friends who could not attend in person. Stellar quality and professionalism, and great customer service.

Great Experience!

My daughter's ceremony was held privately an hour or two before her reception. I wanted to show a short video set to music of the ceremony at the reception. Matheson recorded the wedding and did a quick turn around for the video to be shown two hours after the recording. We loved the video!

Professional Videographer

Matheson Communications did a wonderful job in capturing a joyful celebration. One of the challenges that Cliff Matheson overcame was wind during a fall outdoor ceremony. What I anticipated to be an issue to clearly record the vows, Cliff was able to overcome such a challenge and was not noticeable in the final product. He also took images provided by the bride and groom and turned it into a very nice montage of early photos. The video was the wedding gift that we provided. The groom wrote "We love the video. We couldn’t wait to check it out before we got it and when we did, we watched it several times. It is great."

Excellent videographer!!!!

We used Matheson videography for our wedding. He did a phenomenal job. He was unobtrusive and videod the entire day. He made a short 3-5 minute film with the highlights that we sent to everyone and they and we loved it. I can’t recommend him enough

He gave us online download and a jump drive (we could choose how to get it).
We will definitely use him for our next occasion!!

Fantastic Production and Value

This was probably my best wedding purchase. I was looking for someone who could make a real documentary style video of the wedding and not just make some 3 minute video that was essentially a bunch of moving portraits. Cliff really delivered. I got exactly what I wanted and I am thrilled with the final product. I have a true record of the event plus a 3 minute highlight reel! Production quality was very high, and also important to me, audio was spot on! He is a true professional, and I would hire him again for any other events I needed filmed. He also answered my myriad questions very quickly and was always extremely easy to reach.

Cliff Matheson videotaped my daughter's senior recital. Cliff Matheson was wonderful. He was helpful and always open to requests from us. His results were very good and well photographed. His background music was very appropriate. He not only did the reception but came on the Friday night to the Shabbat dinner and to the temple for the rehearsal. I would strongly recommend him. We are loving the event video!

You didn't even know he was there. And when it's over, it's all you have left to relive the night. I'm so glad I have a video. The price was very reasonable. We didn't want the edited version or the montage--just a professional copy recording of the whole night. Everything was captured. I recommend Matheson to everyone having a bar or bat mitzvah.

Matheson Communications did a wonderful job with the videography for my daughter's dance recital. They followed directions to the tee -- covering backstage preparations, guests entering the lobby, lobby decorations, the actual recital and the dinner afterwards. The BluRay DVDs provided were of excellent quality; sent to us within a month and have provided us with so much enjoyment of an emotional and amazing day. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

We had Cliff as the videographer for the Kuchipudi dance debut of my daughter. After I got in touch with Cliff, I requested him to have a closer look at a couple of Kuchipudi performances to get a feel for the dance, which he gladly accepted. He was very professional and showed up on time during the rehearsal and also during the event. His charges were nominal and he did a professional job in editing the videos. The quality of coverage was superb and the interviews were priceless. I strongly recommend Cliff Matheson communications.

Cliff was wonderful. Prior to the event he walked us through our options with an eye on both budget and quality of the final product. Most impressive, he came to a dress rehearsal unannounced, just to familiarize himself with a new lighting system and the flow of the event. It has been a pleasure to work with Cliff, who can always be counted on for unfailingly courteous and prompt responses.

As a bride you don't retain alot of what is going on because you are so caught up in the excitement of your big day. I'm so thankful I hired Cliff for video. There is so much I wasn't present for and I got an amazing video for the rest of our lives so we can relive the greatest night over and over!

Cliff Matheson did fantastic job for my son's birthday and later for my daughter's birthday party. Cliff was responsive, organized and punctual. Cliff provided excellent services for a Catholic Wedding of my daughter.My wife and myself wanted a videographer that would create remembrance video that we could relive the memories of our daughter. We got more then we hoped for, specially because my family and friends were scattered in India and U.K., for which Cliff created a website link of the video. That is more then we bargained for.We have watched the video for a few times since we got it and we Love every minute of it. Cliff was very responsive to every facts in the Catholic Church and then at the reception that we had in a Country Club. Cliff captured every spirit and atmosphere of the Wedding. We are glad we came to know Cliff, through special recommendation of his friend Reuben(photographer) to remember a very important time of life of our only daughter.

We used Matheson Communications, Inc. as videographer for my Grandfather's memorial service. My entire family and I were so pleased with the results. The quality of videography was excellent and gracefully captured the emotions of the guests and the feel of the church where the event was held. As residents of California who could not be in attendance at the service, my husband and I were so glad to have been able to witness it through this medium. In addition, while I did not meet Cliff Matheson (the videographer) in person, my family who did meet him all raved about his warmth and professionalism. The DVD and youtube video were both created in quick turnaround time. All around very pleased with the experience working with this company.

Cliff Matheson is a consummate professional who unobtrusively captures memorable moments on video and then edits them back at his studio into a treasured keepsake for your family. As I reviewed my DVD, I didn't realize how much film he captured; I barely noticed he was at our celebration. And he created on film a nice balance between vignettes of the party in real time hearing the people's voices with recap vignettes playing against the background of a great (and appropriate) music selection. I have used him twice before and plan to use him again for my other kids' Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in the coming years. I highly recommend Cliff Matheson!

I would 100% recommend Matheson Communications as a wedding videographer! My husband and I wanted a videographer that would create a wedding day remembrance video but for a good price. We got way more then we had hoped for! I have watched our video 6 times since receiving it a couple weeks ago and love every minute of it! Not only do I LOVE our video but Cliff was a pleasure to work with. He returned emails promptly and did whatever he could to accommodate us, before and after the wedding. Days before our wedding we asked for him to video our rehearsal dinner due to many speeches, and without hesitation he sent one of his employees to our rehearsal dinner. We hired Cliff for his video skills. Not only did we get a gifted person from the technical standpoint, but his personality and friendly nature helped to make our day special. We are a same-sex couple and were married in the District of Columbia Court House, (Washington, D.C.) on Valentine’s Day. Cliff video-taped the ceremony and a lunch gathering of close friends at a nearby restaurant. We love the way he captured the moment thought the use of not only video, but the incorporation of still pictures. The entire production included a music score. We are glad we found Cliff as his work will help us to remember a very important time in our lives.

Cliff provided excellent video services for the wedding. We decided at the last minute (two weeks to go) to hire a videographer. I sent a note to Cliff and his response was immediate that he could help us out. He arrived early to the venue and captured all of the important moments of the day. We had opted for the basic package but even his "raw footage" was EXCELLENT. He also went above and beyond to add a few extras to the DVD. I found all of the above and more in selecting Matheson Communications as the official videographer for my daughter's wedding in 2007. We believe the video production to be "oscar" winning. The quality of video, the audio, the lighting, the creative eye for detail in capturing everything on video in a classic storybook manner to be "extraordinnaire". My family and guests were in awe with amazement at the perfection of the final video production as they re-lived the entire wedding ceromony through the video.

The video of my son's Bar Mitzvah is fantastic. Cliff caught so many great moments and he was so non-intrusive that I hardly even realized he was there. I couldn't be more pleased with the video. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

We and our friends enjoyed watching the video over and over again. It is well produced with excellent audio quality. Having Matheson communications to cover our Middle Eastern wedding was a good decision. The videographer captured the spirit and atmosphere of the wedding. Friends who did not attend the wedding enjoyed the moments through the video. In addition, the videographer was invisible and not intrusive. It is a good way to remember every single moments. Mr. Matheson was very professional and super easy to work with. He was very accommodating and went above and beyond what was included in our contract, such as taking video at our rehearsal. There were a few parts of the video that I would've had edited or taken at a different angle (to show more of our facial expressions, like during the hora), but I did select the option for a whole video and not highlights only. But overall it was a wonderful experience and would use him at future events. I actually had one of his associates do our reception and it worked out fine!

Our event was NOT a graduation; unfortunately, that was the closest event listed I could use. Matheson Communication videotaped our elementary school musical. The owner of Matheson Communication was in contact with the school throughout the process of pre-sales. Matheson Communications created the sales form. The pre-sale price was $10 less than the sales during the event and any order received after the event. The owner sent a small crew (2 people) of videographers to the cast party where they interviewed the students involved in the show. These snippets became part of the video and are a wonderful individual moment with the students involved in the production. Matheson Communication is a professional organization and the product from their work is top-notch. I would highly recommend Matheson Communications services.

Matheson Communications was a pleasure to work with. I wanted them to be unobtrusive at our event and they were. Nonetheless, the video they produced was excellent. My event was an elementary school musical production. The quality of this product can't be beat. Cliff Matheson goes above and beyond to ensure the video is high quality and extra special. Cliff suggested coming to the cast party so he could get sound bites from all of the students in the play. Filmed school performance so parents could buy dvds. Very flexible. Filmed two different casts and conducted behind-the-scenes interviews. Adjusted well to technical surprises at the school. Would recommend.

Cliff was very helpful and easy to work with. He recorded our ceremony, Kiddush lunch and reception. He was not intrusive, and yet still managed to record all of the intimate details of our event. He produced a terrific video that we still enjoy watching. Matheson Communications did a great job of quickly getting up to speed on what we needed captured on videotape. We did a number of testimonials together but at certain points I had to be in some business meetings and couldn't run the interviews. Matheson Communications had a good grasp of what we wanted to elicit from our testimonials and ran several without me.

For the most part the video quality was decent but I've been editing the clips and in a number of cases during on camera interviews, the videographer moved the camera in and out or panned while the subject was speaking. This is proving to be distracting in my videos and a bit challenging to work around. Also, some frames are slightly out of focus.
