I am shocked to see two bad reviews for
Masters because Wes hit it out of the park at our wedding! Perfectly cooked fish for 160 people is no easy task I'm sure, but everyone is still raving about the Cajun Halibut three days after our wedding. Wes was laid back and calm through all of our menu changes. He was wonderful to work with and our wedding guests were raving about the beer battered halibut and flank steak at the wedding reception! Wes and his team were amazing! I can't say enough about their great customer service and the phenomenal quality of food.
Wes was very easy to work with. His laid-back yet extremely professional attitude was a nice quality for keeping the process stress-free. His crew arrived on time and ran a very self contained operation, perfect for venues that have limited kitchen access.
THE FOOD! We had guest after guest coming up to us after dinner telling us that they had just enjoyed the best meal they'd had in ages. Not just wedding meal, the best meal PERIOD. Wes does not mess around with his cooking, he's the real deal. We had a handful of...Wes and his team were amazing! I can't say enough about their great customer service and the phenomenal quality of food.

THE FOOD! We had guest after guest coming up to us after dinner telling us that they had just enjoyed the best meal they'd had in ages. Not just wedding meal, the best meal PERIOD. Wes does not mess around with his cooking, he's the real deal. We had a handful of guests with Celiac, so we notified Wes of this and he was quick to offer menu suggestions that he could prepare GF. He even grilled up a second batch of steaks that were kept separate from those that had marinade on them so our GF guests could enjoy that menu option without worry. Wes also prepared appetizers to be served during cocktail hour. The delicious apps were put out and ready to be enjoyed by our guests right after the ceremony ended.
Thank you Wes, and your entire team at Masters Catering, for not only feeding our guests a delicious meal, but for taking care of them and being a friendly face on our wedding day. -

Wes is a pleasure to work with. He catered my and my husband's recent wedding a ta venue without running water and on generator power. We had alaskan halibut, alaskan salmon, alaskan crab, and beef brisket. The guests were impressed! I would highly recommend.Wes is a pleasure to work with. Our food was absolutely awesome! We had the Fry It Up menu with a little bit of a variation but the Halibut was GREAT! Our wedding had a little bit more of a laid back vibe and the menu went along with that feeling. My guests keeps telling me how great the food was!!Our food was absolutely awesome! The Master’s Catering team did an amazing job on the food at our wedding. We struggled to get Anchorage caterers to communicate with us, but after we signed on with Wes and his team, the rest was easy and delicious! They brought a big grill to Copper Landing, our reception location, so everything was hot off the grill and perfectly timed for dinner. We had lots of compliments from guest about how delicious everything was (“best wedding food ever”), and we totally agree! Also heard from other vendors that Master’s Catering is “consistently delicious”. Highly recommended!The Master’s Catering team did an amazing job on the food at our wedding. I have only heard good things about Masters Catering and was very disappointed with the service that was provided for my wedding.
It started out with Wes giving us round tablecloths for rectangle tables, and this is at a venue that he told us he goes to every week for catering events.
The night before the wedding Wes called to see what time the wedding started the following day (that should have been a clue)
The staff was two hours late from when they said they were going to arrive, they forgot two appetizer plates, the water and soda.

The cupcakes were also missing and when my mother inquired about them they said, “oh yeah, I think they are in the car” so while they were starting to put the food out, my mother was plating the cupcakes.
They then served under cooked fish to some of our guests and the "scratch dinner rolls" were from Costco, I saw the packaging.
They then quickly packed up and left before the cupcakes were served. My mother, the mother-of -the-bride was serving the cupcakes and since they had already left, we had no utensils or napkins and I had to use a Leatherman to cut the cake and nothing to wipe my mouth with!
After all of these mistakes Wes told my mother "he would make it right" and he just sent a check to cover the drinks and appetizers that were not provided.
Some of their food is good, but for all the stress that was caused on my wedding day, I would not recommend them.
