Above and Beyond!!

If I could give more stars I would! Masterplan Events was the glue that held everything together for our wedding. When we first got engaged I knew we needed a wedding planner. Events stress me out and I just knew I wasn’t capable of taking on a wedding. We met with 3 planners before choosing, who all seemed great at what they did, and Lola was the last one I spoke with. After my first conversation with her I knew she was the one who could give us the wedding we really wanted and I wouldn’t have to question if it would come out right. I was so right!

We started planning pre-covid and had just begun the design stage when the pandemic started. Our venue closed for good and while we (husband and I) started to become over it and considered just eloping, Lola kept us on our path and I am forever grateful that she did. She found us a new venue that was just as wonderful as the original and kept us pushing forward. She was always available (like always), responsive, friendly, creative and the list goes on. I’m a super indecisive person and she always helped me talk things through when making decisions. Lola always kept us on track and presented information in a simple and clear way, either with spreadsheets, pictures, timelines etc. And on our day all of those small details that made big impacts literally just all came together.

The way her and her team managed our wedding day was beyond amazing. They were professional, friendly and just on top of it all! They really took care of us from start to finish. I truly cannot recommend MasterPlan events enough! I can’t wait to renew our vowels just to work with them again!

Masterplan Events is Amazing

Masterplan events was wonderful. It was great working with them. Lola did an absolutely amazing job helping with vendors and executing my perfect wedding. She really has a gift and highly recommend her to all my friends and family.

Best wedding planner in DMV

Ohhh where can I start...From day one, masterplan laid the foundation for a successful wedding. Lola was there through every step of the way. She went above and beyond to capture our vision for the wedding. She was able to translate is vision into reality. She knows her clients pretty well and was always about 5 steps ahead of what my vision. My wedding couldn’t have been as perfect as it was with the Masterplan team. Their ability to produce near perfection is unreal. I am absolutely greatful to have had such a wonderful, hardworking and selfless planning team to help create the absolute best day. The Best Planner in the DMV and Beyond!!

Where do I even begin with Masterplan?! My wedding was memorial weekend in New Jersey. I live in Maryland, but being that my wedding was going to be held in New jersey I was conflicted on whether to go with a DMV or NJ planner. I ultimately decided to go with Masterplan after talking to four different planners, because Lola (the CEO/lead planner) was super responsive to my inquiry, had a great reputation in the DMV area, and her weddings on their IG always looked amazing (I had been stalking several planners IGs for almost a year prior to getting engaged). I'm so glad I went with Masterplan because my wedding weekend turned out AHMAZINGGG. Lola is so responsive whether its via email, text, whatsapp-- I feel like I can always reach her which is a must for any bride. Also Masterplan is super organized and each month had specifics on what I should be working on as to not get overwhelmed. She had so many NJ vendor options for me to choose from according to my budget, which I really appreciated. Also, Lola gives her honest input on decisions, if I ask, based on her experience, which I appreciated. Some planners will just let you choose something that you would probably regret the day of since you're paying for it anyway. Masterplan's professionalism is also unmatched. From their communciation with vendors to communication with my bridal party.. all of my family and friends were so impressed. The weekend of the wedding people were just in awe of how organzied the wedding was and how beautiful the ceremony and ballroom turned out- jaw dropping (we had a flip which was done fast!). All in all I would hands down recommend Masterplan events if you want an amazing wedding to remember with the perfect vendors. Lola is not only your planner, but she becomes your friend throughout the process which is just the icing on the cake.

Uh-may-zing!

LOLA!!!!!!!!! Words truly cannot describe how incredible Lola was throughout the entire wedding process. I was taking the bar exam during planning and desperately needed a planner. I saw a wedding she did Newton White Mansion (same venue as mine) the same month I got engaged and immediately knew I needed her. My first conversation with Lola sealed the deal for me! Lola is soooo pleasant, friendly, and sweet. She has a heart of gold and a reassuring gentle spirit. She is truly the fairy god-mother of weddings. Lola has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to wedding planning. She considers every intricate detail that you as a bride or groom would never consider. Lola works with incredible preferred vendors; however, please trust that she will put her couples first and will always seek your best interest when it comes to contract negotiation and execution of the planning.

I swear Lola NEVER sleeps. She was always available when I called her. She responded to emails promptly. Lola is also super organized as well and will ensure you remain on track with the planning timeline. Lola does a ton of weddings but she’s so personable, organized, and available, that one could easily assume that she was only planning your wedding during your wedding planning journey.

When minor hiccups occurred such as losing my caterer, Lola came to the rescue! She always had solutions whenever necessary.

I am super indecisive. It takes me forever to make ever the most minor decisions. Lola was super patient, and when necessary, she would firmly but gently have me make a decision if the deadline was pressing.

Now let’s talk about the wedding day. Lola’s team is phenomenal!!! You don’t have to worry about a thing except looking pretty! Her team will ensure you remain on time, will gather all of your belongings necessary to transport to the venue if you’re getting ready at a hotel or another location instead of your wedding venue. The team really helped me remain calm on my wedding day. Now as for the decor, simply BREATHTAKING! All guests who were in attendance said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended! We were completely pleased with how everything turned out. The decor exceeded our expectations! When Lola and I first discussed the budget, Lola highly suggested we wrap the floor in white. Our budget could not accommodate the price of the flooring. BUT, 3 days before the wedding we secured the flooring and I am soooooo glad we did! The white flooring really transformed our venue space. Lola was never pushy about us getting the flooring but she highly recommended it. So once again, trust her judgment and please be assured that she is looking out for your best interest with every recommendation. She’ll also inform you of items you can limit your spending to accommodate some “must-haves.”

As wedding planning is over, we are sad, only because we don’t talk to Lola as often. However, we LOVE Lola and will remain friends!

If you’re on the fence of selecting Master Plan Events as your planner, do yourself a favor and stop contemplating that decision, and hire them RIGHT AWAY!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

Lola and her team went above and beyond to make my wedding day a success. I was stress free throughout the entire wedding process which was something that was very important to me as it allowed me to actually enjoy planning the wedding. I couldn't imagine having my wedding without Lola and her team on board. The entire MasterPlan events team is kind, warm and cordial. On the day of your wedding there is always someone there to ensure your needs are being met. I loved that at the end of the night all of our items were packed and loaded into our car for us. We were able to literally just leave the wedding and rest. So many of our guests commented on the professionalism of Lola and her team and loved how efficiently everything ran. I highly recommend MasterPlan Events for anyone wanting to have a successful, elegant, and stress free wedding.

Lola and her team were BEYOND AMAZING!

Hiring Masterplanevents was the best thing my husband and I did for our wedding. Lola and her team were BEYOND AMAZING. We had the wedding of our dreams and our family members were in awe at how everything went smoothly. I was very indecisive during the planning but she was always calm, smiling and never expressed frustration. She was very professional, organized, attentive and addressed issues promptly. My wedding was in Nashville and everything was perfect! All our vendors had very positive things to say about her and enjoyed working with her.. Our guests couldn't believe she planned the wedding from Maryland. It was the happiest day of my life and I'm glad I entrusted the day to Masterplanevents. You won't regret you hired her. She is great at what she does.

Amazing experience with MasterPlan Events

I can't even put into words how overwhelming grateful my husband and I are having hired Lola of MasterPlan Events (MP) as our wedding planner for our wedding on August 18, 2018. As two very busy career professionals and me with an A-type very much need to be in control personality, we had no idea how we were going to be able to dedicate the time to plan the wedding of our dreams or even where to begin. So I researched wedding planners and after having a one on one meeting with Lola and talking for literally hours, we both knew she was the one. We readily purchased the full planning package and put our trust into MasterPlan Events.
Professional and personable, Lola saw and understood our vision and made it her mission to bring it to fruition. Lola created a budget and helped us to stick to it. She provided us with a list of reputable vendors to chose from for each and every single detail of our wedding; making sure they not only were within budget but also that their style aesthetic aligned with our vision. She made sure our vendors were legit the DREAM TEAM. The entire process with MP from receiving the contract up until the very end went so smoothly. Lola scheduled calls, site visits, coordinated bridal gown trials, reviewed and negotiated vendor contracts on our behalf and even found a hairstylist for me after the one I had in mind totally ghosted me a week before my wedding. Lola was there for every second guess, melt down and overthinking moment I went through with a listening ear and advice whether it be via email or over the phone.
On my wedding day so many things could've gone wrong and while there were a few that did (and were totally out of her hands), she still found a way to make sure our day went as smoothly as possible. She made sure every one knew where they were supposed to be and had everything they needed. She even had a spot clean up kit when one of my bridesmaids got a spot on her dress. Having Lola and the MP team to coordinate, organize and execute was not only necessary, but essential to making #WitnesstheWilliams possible. Our family, friends and even complete strangers continue to talk about our wedding- months later!
Our wedding day was literally better than our dreams and we are so blessed to have made not only a new lifelong friend, but FAMILY. If you want a planner that will work their hardest to make sure your vision comes to life (within reason & budget), put your trust in MasterPlan Events.

Hire MasterPlan!

The MasterPlan (MP) team exceeded our expectations! We had the pleasure of working with Lola. Although we had done some of the planning prior, Lola still took the time to go over every little detail of the wedding and helped us finalize all the million and one details we didn't think about! We immediately realized that there was definitely more to wedding planning than just finding a venue, photographer, DJ and caterer!

If you are wondering if you need a wedding planner for your wedding, I highly recommend MP! I am so happy we hired them. Lola's attention to detail and calm under pressure was very impressive. I was so grateful to have her with us through out the final months leading to the wedding day up until the time I walked down that aisle to the end of reception. If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I didn't hear of it because Lola handled it! My husband and I had a very stress free wedding experience and danced all night and really enjoyed ourselves!

Lola is absolutely AMAZING!! She works with you in detail to make sure your vision comes to life and then some! My husband and I were and still are grateful for all the time and effort she put in to the months leading up to our big day and even the big day!! Not only is she professional and knowledgeable of all things wedding but she is very down to earth and cares about making your wedding the best day possible. Once Eddie and I got engaged there were so many other life changing events happening where I knew I could not fully commit to planning my own wedding. I reached out to one of my close college friends who happened to have been a guest at one of the most beautiful weddings I saw on Instagram. My friend reached out to the bride who shared who her planner was. It happened to be Lola (Master Plan Events) I contacted Lola right away. From our initial conversation I knew she would be perfect. Lola was always so personable putting our needs first which gained a great deal of trust. Lola was with us every step of the way, from multiple food tastings to wedding gown shopping. It is bittersweet that our wedding is over because I have gotten use to communicating with Lola daily. Lola's professionalism and expertise allowed me to relax during our whole wedding planning experience. Many people would comment on how "relaxed and chill" of a bride I was and I would reply "thanks to my awesome planner" On our wedding day, just minutes before our ceremony it poured. Lola and her team worked diligently to bring our guest in and flip the entire room all while making sure Eddie and I were calm. I could go on for days detailing how Lola and her team took care of us. I had my DREAM wedding and it would not have happened without Master Plan Events. I get stopped in the mall, at work, at the airport with people telling me how beautiful my wedding was. I am forever blessed.

The vision for our wedding was to fully enjoy our big day with family and friends, without having to burden ourselves, or them, with the background logistics and crises. We wanted to capture our style and personality from the programming, to the decorations, and even managing the guest list. From vendor selection in the months leading up to the wedding day, to the clean up of the reception hall at the end of such a wonderful day, MasterPlan Events definitely helped us realize our vision, and in doing so, fully exceeded expectations. MasterPlan Events and its capable and professional staff made our day one to remember, and more importantly, ALLOWED US TO BE IN THE MOMENT. Wow! Where do we begin! MasterPlan Events exceeded our expectations more than we would have ever imagined. Get the planner to go over all contracts before signing anything and make sure you understand it. Signing contracts without the planner makes things harder but MasterPlan did a good job of stepping in.

Go with vendors that you like of course. But also chose vendors that besides having a business mind like they should also have a good client vendor relationship with you. Our planner got to know us and communicated with us regularly so she was able to get a feel for what we like and didn't like, and it also built trust.

My husband and I recently got married and hired MasterPlan Events as our wedding planner. We booked their services for the month-of coordination and couldn't be happier with their performance. We worked directly with Lola, who was beyond helpful and professional throughout the whole process. Lola was very pleasant to work with and helped relieve the stress that comes with wedding planning. She was always a quick call or text away and always offered helpful suggestions. She works so well under pressure and is good at coming up with solutions fast, we were truly impressed! I loved working with MasterPlan! My planner was Lola, who was absolutely a delight to work with, but I also had the opportunity to work with Yemisi who equally wonderful. Lola and her team did an amazing job with helping to coordinate our wedding. We are two very busy professionals who live in a different state from where the wedding was held and therefore, really needed to have someone reliable and trustworthy to depend on to assist us in choosing a venue, picking vendors, and just dealing with all the nuances of planning a wedding. Lola was not only that, but she was also very responsive, thoughtful, kind, patient, and hard working. On the day of our wedding, the team ensured that everything went smoothly and without a hitch! There were even extra unexpected touches that were added on the day of to make everything a little more special; a testament to how much she will go above and beyond to make your day a great one. I believe that MasterPlan's work is a large part of the reason why people are still speaking so highly of our wedding! You can't go wrong with choosing the MasterPlan team!

Lola and her team were a pleasure to work with! Lola helped me to think through so many details that I wouldn't have thought to consider myself, and her recommended vendors were all top notch! I was referred to Lola by a coworker who used her wedding planning services, and I wasn't disappointed. Lola really cares about her brides and wants to make their day as perfect as possible. Master plan events was simply amazing, despite the fact that we had our wedding a year earlier than we had initially planned, they were outstanding, going above and beyond what we expected. Our wedding was not the typical wedding considering the fact that we had both ceremonies on the same day (traditional and white wedding), they were patient and proactive...so in tune to our needs even before we knew we had them.

Absolutely a great job and well planned. I was tremendously impressed with their services, they exhibited a great manner of professionalism and integrity. I would not have had it any other way. We were given detailed options on the various vendors along with the pros and cons for the particular vendors. They worked hard to give my wife and myself what we requested and answered any questions we had be it minuscule in nature. There wasn't a time we had questions and they were unavailable, as a matter a fact, I felt bugged, b/c I would receive emails from Master Plan at 6am asking if we decided on certain issues. That's some dedication. Top notch work. My wife was extremely happy, takes a lot to impress her. I had no panics at all, ok I did initially b/c it’s hard to phantom someone else understanding what you want or envision for your wedding day. But getting a glimpse of them in action for the 1st couple of months put my mind at ease.

Our wedding was amazing!! I very busy woman but Yewande was patient and contacted vendors left and right because I had no time to. She also always made me feel so special as an upcoming wife. She never played the "blame game" if things did not go right but made sure to try to rectify things. I had a blast working with her and MasterPlan events. I will definitely call them with upcoming events I plan on having!

MasterPlan was very effective with the day-of-coordination services that they assisted us with during our wedding planning process. Lola and Yemisi were very responsive, approachable, patient and knowledgeable throughout. My husband and I hired MasterPlan Events to coordinate our wedding from the conception to the end. I worked very closely with Lola Akingbade and Yemisi Olori. I don't think that a mere few words on here can justify the service and the going over and beyond which was provided to us by MP. Their swift response always, the professionalism, their patience and understanding, their attention to every detail....I felt as though we were working from the same mindset. They thoroughly understood me as a person, what I liked and needed and delivered beyond my expectations. They never imposed on me but always helped me achieve my vision. I can 100% say that I had a seamless, stressfree wedding!!!! To top it off, everyone has been raving on how it was the best wedding they have been to.

What I particularly liked about MP was their organisation, they had strict timelines for everything, all contracts were kept in an e-folder for reference, they were up to speed on every payment, all balances were reconciled.

My husband and I planned this wedding from Dallas, (wedding took place in MD)! One week to the wedding when I should have been tearing my hair out I was at peace, I was also at peace that all will be taken care of on the day, this is testament to how great these ladies are. They not only worked on the wedding, but also ensured that my psycological wellbeing was intact.

I have recieved a lot of compliments on Lola and Yemisi, my family love them and I will recommend these ladies to everyone I know and you will NOT be disappointed.

The services rendered exceeded my expections . The wedding was meticulously coordinated and the MP Consultants were very firm and precise while communicating my expectations with the various vendors and they were very detail-oriented .

The way they drafted and executed their detailed timeline of events ensured the wedding day went on without a hitch. Such amazing work ! I rate MasterPlan Events 5 stars all the way!!! We used them for Day of Coordinating and we don't regret ever making that decision! Lola and Yemisi were professional, always on time, and organized. Aside from that they put their heart into this, and we felt really cared for. All members of our bridal party praise them including the mothers, which says a lot. They did an exceptional job, we really can't say enough. I recommend them over and over!

I liked that MP took control of the whole process. There were time that I dropped the ball and overlooked information that I should have shared with them but they were AWESOME problem solvers. They worked well under pressure and still manage to maintain a smile. Always on time to every appointment and stylishly dressed for the occasion.Kept my cost down and sweat from my forehead. Couple of weeks to the wedding, I was overwhelmed with things others than the logistics of the wedding and they took absolute control as if it were their own .The MP consultants made executive decisions based on what they knew about my husband and I and at the end it turned about FABULOUS. No regrets. They come highly recommended in my book.

MasterPlan Events made my wedding simply wonderful! Everytime I look at my wedding pictures it just brings tears to my eyes. Yewande, my MasterPlan consultant, was the very definition of a professional. She telephoned me promptly, sent e-mails in a timely manner, and kept me abreast of all developments (all of which made an indelible impression on me). Whenever I had difficulty making any decision, she offered her expertise and knowledge to expertly guide me in my decision-making. She was approachable and never made me feel embarrassed to ask a "stupid" question. When my schedule wouldn't permit me to meet a few vendors, she met them on my behalf. This was my first time using a planner and, by the end of it, I came to trust her judgment implicitly. The final product was so impeccable, all my guests were simply awed. She effortlessly brought my vision to life. Not only would I recommend MasterPlan, I intend to solicit their services for all my future events.

I recently got married and hired MasterPlan Events as our wedding planner. We worked directly with Yemisi and Yewande, who was beyond helpful and professional throughout the whole process. Yemisi was very pleasant to work with and helped relieve the stress that comes with wedding planning, especially with signing contracts with other vendors. They paid close attention to all contracts and I was well aware of what i was signing! Yemisi is a gem and her level of patience is outstanding, she worked so well with the event manager of the hotel, we ended up getting lots of discounts and deals we won't have been able to negotiate for on our own. She worked so well under pressure and is good at coming up with solutions fast. On the day of the wedding, she was also very good with keeping to schedule and ensuring that the day went as smoothly as possible.
I would recommend MasterPlan Events for a smooth and stress free wedding planning process.
