Mass Bay DJ was amazing to work with! Mike came highly recommended from our photographer and it quickly became clear why when we initially reached out. Mike was always quick to respond to questions over email and made the whole planning process stress free!
Jacob absolutely nailed it at our reception! The dance floor was packed all night and I know that was in large part due to how well Jacob was reading the crowd! Transitions were seamless, announcements were clear and upbeat, and everything flowed so smoothly.

We used Mass Bay DJ for our New Year’s Eve wedding. Mike was reliable, well experienced, and most importantly fun to work with every step of the way. Mike is a seasoned professional who knew our venue and the coordinator extremely well. The wedding coordinator said when she sees that Mike is doing the wedding she can rest assured that it will run smoothly. He rolled with our last minute changes on more than one occasion and provided the perfect amount of announcing and speaking without it being too much. The value of his services far outweighed the cost. We’ll use him again and again and you should too! -

Mike at Mass Bay DJ made our wedding unforgettable. Once dinner finished no one sat down the rest of the night because he was playing all the right music to keep the party going! It has been a few weeks since the wedding and people are still talking about how great he was with his song selection. We did not curate a specific playlist for Mike, just gave him eras and genres of what we liked and he took it from there. I cannot recommend Mike enough for helping us throw the best party! -

Mike/Mass Bay DJ was really communicative and helpful throughout our entire wedding planning process! At the end of the night we got so many compliments from our wedding guests about how great our music was. Mike was able to create the perfect dance playlist just based off of a short list of songs I shared with him - we stayed on the dance floor the whole night! We couldn't have asked for a better person to do the music and lighting for our wedding!! -

Words cannot describe how amazing and positive our experience with Mike and Mass Bay DJ was for our wedding! From the start of the process with the initial vetting phone call through to the final details meetings Mike was extremely communicative and answered all our questions. Going into the day of our wedding we felt assured that our requests were heard and understood and felt we were in good hands with no need to stress. From the very beginning of our event, our expectations were exceeded! Mike's equipment was set up an ready to go the day before our event, his MC duties were executed perfectly and with great care for what we had requested, and above all else his music playlist throughout the wedding was top notch. Once the dance floor opened up to all the guests it was packed the entire night and the energy was sustained because of Mike's excellent song selection and creative transitions. He took our must play songs and built an incredible playlist around them. We had so many guests comment on how much they enjoyed our DJ! It truly was a highlight of our wedding. A huge thank you to Mike and Mass Bay DJ for providing the perfect playlist to our perfect wedding day! -

Mike was incredible! He worked so well with all the vendors and had our guests dancing all night long, creating the perfect atmosphere with his amazing playlist. From the moment the reception started, he read the crowd perfectly and kept the energy high throughout the night. Mike was so easy to work with and made sure our music was exactly what we wanted, smoothly integrating our song requests throughout the whole night, while also making sure the crowd stayed pumped up. After our first phone call with Mike, the decision felt easy. After our wedding was over, it was obvious that our decision was right. We got married at the River Club on August 30th, and MassBay DJ was recommended to us by the venue. Mike has an awesome energy that not only made the night as hyped up as it was, but also made us feel throughout the planning process that it was his main priority to make sure that our day was the best it could possibly be. Before the wedding, Mike walked us through moment by moment what the day would look like and made sure that every aspect of our day was accounted for so we felt confident going into the day. On the day of, the vibe we were going for was perfectly captured; our guests were on the dance floor before dinner was even over. The music at a wedding really has the power to make or break the party, and over and over again we got compliments on the music (which was also complemented by the number of people on the dance floor at all times). Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we cannot recommend him any more highly! From bringing the vibes to making us feel like our happiness was his main priority, MassBay DJ was instrumental in helping us throw the best party we've ever been to! -

Mike at MassBay is an incredible DJ who did a fantastic job with playing the right music throughout the night! We are so happy with how everything went, and our friends and family were on the dance floor the entire night. Mike was very accommodating with our play and do not play lists, and he was so helpful during the planning process. The audio for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all perfect, and we also loved the uplighting during the reception. Mike is overall a really nice, fun guy who is great at what he does, and we cannot recommend him enough! -

We booked MassBay DJ for our wedding, and we could not have been happier with our decision! Mike and Craig were communicative and helpful during the planning process, and it was clear that they saw importance in giving us an experience that was uniquely ours, and found a sound that aligned with our tastes and what we wanted for our big day! Needless to say, they nailed it! Our dance floor held 100 people, and it ended up not being big enough! Everyone had a great time, and Craig felt like an old friend by the end of it! 5 stars, any day!! -

I’ll start this review by saying that I’ve been to a Mass Bay DJ wedding before (and am so pumped to be going to another one next year!), so I already knew that we were in store for an absolute party.
Mike had never been to our venue before, so he arrived early to plan the layout and electrical setups for our outdoor and indoor spaces. Our venue is strict with vendor dress, and Mike came dressed to impress like we knew he would. Already off to a great start.
We told Mike that he could take liberties during cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, but the one area I was very particular about was what music would play when our guests walked in. Mike respected these wishes and played those songs specifically, and the sound quality in our huge outdoor space projected PERFECTLY. His timing during the ceremony was impeccable. Between Mike’s timing and the crisp sound quality of the processional music, walking down the aisle honestly felt magical.
Like I mentioned above, we knew Mike was going to be an all-star DJ before the night began. What was a pleasant surprise (but also not a surprise given how accommodating and all-around incredible Mike is) was how quickly Mike was able to roll with the punches. Probably an hour before the time for cake-cutting, I last-minute asked him to play ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter for the cake-cutting (our cake was chocolate espresso flavored!) and on the fly, Mike was on it.
Mike was open to suggestions from some of the guests of honor (ranging from when my grandmother requested ‘Unchained Melody’ to when my cousin-in-law requested ‘The Spins’ by Mac Miller). And at the same time, he respected our do-not-play list! (Thank you for not playing Sweet Caroline, Mike! LOL.) He made sure to play music that reflected the masses, including a few emo bangers per my request. :)
Here’s where Mike saved the night: We had an after party from 11pm to 2am directly on-site and we wanted to make sure the guests’ energy stayed high so people would be down to party the night away. Originally, our last song was a slower paced song, but when he saw how vibrant the dance floor was still at 10:30, he came up to me and asked what I thought about the idea of changing the last song to make it more upbeat so people wouldn’t lose steam. I consulted with my husband and we both loved that idea, so Mr. Brightside became our last song of the night. 10/10 idea!
Mike’s presenting skills, from introducing us for the first time to providing a hilarious set-up for my father-in-law’s entrance for the choreographed dance he surprised us with, are unmatched. He’s seriously such an incredible hype man. He even let me DJ at one point! (I was terrible, LOL!)
If you want your wedding dance floor to be full to the brim most of the night and want an incredible spectacle of lights and sound, hire Mass Bay DJ for your next event. This team does NOT disappoint, and they’re here to get the party going!
On a more personal note, we’ve been friends of Mike’s for nearly a decade now and watching his business grow to the success it’s at today has been incredible. He’s seriously one of the most deserving, hard-working people we know and takes so much pride in everything he’s involved in.

Mike was incredible for our wedding day as well as in the weeks before! His professionalism, attitude, and flexibility made all of the planning that so much easier and I thoroughly appreciated it! We've been told by many friends and relatives in the weeks after our wedding how it was the 'funnest wedding they've been to' and that wouldn't have been possible without Mike holding it down on the music side and creating the atmosphere he did. Mike & his team were fantastic from beginning to end. Mike was very quick to respond, easy to get in touch with, and organized in chatting through what we were looking for, and what we would need to provide and when (e.g., questionnaire on timing, song preferences, etc.). He is very flexible based on what we wanted - in the beginning we had a playlist for cocktail hour, but for the dancing, we wanted to rely more on him to read the room, and he accommodated both very easily. The day of our event was totally seamless, everyone had a great time, and he and the team kept the energy up. On top of it all, they had very reasonable rates with add-ons if you like, we would 100% recommend Mass Bay DJ for any wedding or event!! Thank you!! -

Working with Mike was a pleasure. As a queer wedding, we were concerned we might encounter vendors who would have issues with it. Mike was fantastic! He was super communicative ahead of the event and during the reception, and great at answering all our questions. He really listened to our preferences and tailored his set to bringing about the high-energy, packed dance floor vibe we were hoping for. He read the crowd so well all night, transitioning perfectly between songs and never letting any song go on too long.
Mike was especially great at adapting to changes during the reception, including checking in with us about the type of songs we wanted to start off the reception and MC'ing an impromptu bouquet toss! When I told him I wanted a bouquet toss after not having planned or discussed one ahead of time, Mike made it happen and made it so fun with such ease that everyone assumed we had planned it out.
We've gotten tons of compliments on the music at our wedding in the weeks since, including multiple people saying we had the best music and most fun dance floor of any wedding they'd been to this year. I absolutely recommend Mike/Mass Bay DJ if you want a professional, skilled DJ and want your guests to have an absolute blast at your wedding! -

Great DJ for Hammond Castle
DJ Mike was absolutely fantastic at our wedding at Hammond Castle. This is a very challenging venue, but he flawlessly managed the sound and created a great atmosphere. Mike's professionalism and ability to read the crowd made the entire event enjoyable and memorable. We highly recommend him for any wedding, especially at unique venues like Hammond Castle!
What sets Mike apart is not only his skill as a DJ but also his personality and energy. He was a pleasure to work with, taking the time to understand our preferences and incorporating our requests seamlessly into the playlist. Definitely recommend and would use again in the future. -

Mike made our day so much fun! Communication was always easy and the documents shared with us helped to make sure it was just the kind of music we wanted to dance the night away. Everything was so thorough that we didn't have to worry about announcements or songs at all - he had everything spelled out for us well in advance so that the day of was just seamless.
He provided us with music and sound for our ceremony, uplighting, plus DJ-ing the reception and making it the party we looked so forward to for 2+ years of pandemic planning. Mike is an awesome DJ. Our friends and family were on the dance floor all night-he knew the songs to play to get everyone on their feet and dancing, and he played the right music during downtime of eating etc. We had a long list of songs we wanted played, and I'm pretty sure every one of them got played at some point throughout the night. We even wanted one special song that he hadn't heard of (requested in the middle of the reception), and low and behold a few minutes later it started playing. Mike traveled up to Portland, ME for our wedding for a very fair travel charge, included ceremony microphones and speakers for us which was a huge help! Would hire him again in a heartbeat-definitely a great DJ with a lot of wedding experience. Thanks Mike! -

Mike was great at fielding all of my questions, had great suggestions and was amazing to work with. He helped to quickly move our outdoor ceremony indoors at the very last minute when a thunder storm rolled in 5 minutes before the ceremony started and worked well with my other vendors. Not only did he play the songs from the playlist I had provided, he read the crowd, played songs that I forgot about and wished I had put on list, and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. My wedding was July 8, 2017 and I have had a chance to see most of my guests since then. They are all still raving about how much fun they had and how they couldn't believe how much they danced. I would highly recommend booking Mass Bay DJ Entertainment. -

Throughout the night he checked in with us and went above and beyond just being our DJ. Our biggest concern was having a full dance floor all night and he did not disappoint! All guests, from all ages, were dancing til the night ended!! He even threw in some personal touches for my husband and I. We highly recommend Mass Bay DJ to bring your wedding to life or to service any function you are having!!
