My wife first found Adam through other brides who got married in the DMV area. We were lucky enough that he was available for our wedding in October 2025. He was great!! As a person, he kept the day light and playful, bringing out the best smiles and smolders for my wife and I during our photos. Speaking of photos, they are spectacular. He captures the love, excitement, and romance of the day. We can cherish our memories of this incredible day through his beautiful photos forever! -

Where do I even start with my review? I would give Adam 10 stars if I could!
Our wedding day was special for a million different reasons, but working with Adam was absolutely one of them. From our very first call with in November 2024, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We knew from looking at his website and social media that we loved his style, but his enthusiasm and energy on that call made us even more excited to work with him.
We first met in person for an engagement shoot in April 2025. My partner and I were both a little nervous going into the shoot, mostly because we felt uncomfortable and unsure posing for photos, but Adam made us feel at ease immediately. We had so much fun shooting that the time flew by! And then we received the photos... WOW! We were so happy with the engagement photos that we knew the wedding day would be a breeze. I was honestly skeptical about the "need" for engagement photos, but if you're on the fence (and if it's in your budget), I would HIGHLY recommend doing them! It was huge in helping us feel comfortable with Adam and in front of the camera.
Leading up to the actual wedding day, we went back and forth a few times via email and had one final call to touch base. Adam's online form made it so easy to put together a shot list, finalize a schedule, and think of off-site locations for portraits (even though we didn't end up doing them). Because he is so organized and on top of everything, our wedding day went off without a hitch! At one point, I think we were even running ahead of schedule...
When we received the wedding photos, I honestly started to cry. The posed potraits are stunning, as are the ceremony photos, but my biggest jaw-drop moment were the candids from the reception. I don't know how to explain it, but Adam completely captured the feeling of the night. Looking at our online gallery, I feel like I'm on the dance floor at District Winery dancing with my husband and friends.
I honestly cannot thank Adam (and his second shooter Eric) enough for capturing the best day of our lives. I would get married again just to be able to work with them!

We absolutely loved our experience with Mason Photography. We knew we vibed with Adam from our first phone call. He was so fun and professional every step of the way. He gave us many suggestions and guidance for our engagement shoot and helped us feel very comfortable. My husband and I are awkward and he cracked jokes the whole time and kept us smiling and relaxed. The photos turned out great, which made us so excited for his photos at the wedding. On the day of our wedding, Adam and his partner helped keep us organized and on track with photos prior to the actual wedding. They captured the day beautifully. The candids he took on the dance floor are my favorite photos and really show the essence of the day. We are so happy we chose Adam as our photographer and will continue to cherish these photos for the rest of our lives! -

The photographer was one of the vendors I was the pickiest about. I looked through so many sites and nixed all of them. Not because they weren't talented, but because they weren't the vibe I was going for. But the minute I saw Adam's site, I was like "Yep! This is my guy." And I was right. From the minute my husband and I started talking to him, we were comfortable enough to be ourselves in front of him and his camera. He caught us laughing and being our truest selves. And that's what I wanted. Candid, real and not too formal. Can he do formal, of course. And very well. But if you're looking for someone to capture the real essence of yourselves as a couple, Adam's your man. And he'll make you feel beautiful/handsome/hot while doing it. His style is amazing (both in photography and as a person haha). He goes for vibrancy and color. He tries to find the action. I couldn't be more thrilled with our photos and will be looking at these for years and years to come with pride and love. Thank you, Adam! -

Adam was the first vendor we booked after we selected our venue. My (now) wife had been following Adam on Instagram for years and had him at the top of our list for possible photographers. When looking through photo galleries I fell in love with how vivid Adam’s photos are that it felt like I was there, and I knew that was the style of pictures I wanted so that whenever I look at them, I go back and relive the moment. During our initial call with Adam, he made it very clear how far he was willing to go to make our day a success. Neither of us had planned a wedding before but Adam provided advice on timelines and photobooth placement. When we did our engagement shoot, I was shy and maybe a little uncomfortable in front of the camera, but by the end of it I forgot he was there even though he was telling us what to do. We both have big families and had a long list of family photos that we wanted and about an hour to do them but Adam kept everything moving so that we were able to get through both of our full shot list. As someone who does not take a lot of pictures, having Adam’s photos, which were delivered within the timeframe he gave us, makes it easy to go back and relive those moments from our wedding. The only regret we have is we didn’t get a picture with Adam. -

Adam was the photographer for our wedding in Washington, DC in September 2024. Adam made the entire photography experience seamless and comfortable for the entirety of our wedding day. Adam is extraordinarily professional, and also has a knack for becoming your friend by the end of the day. He listens to your vision and does everything he can to make it happen. He anticipates wants and needs and makes a plan to accomplish them. This was such a huge weight off my shoulders. Adam is an outstanding photographer. Best wedding photography company out there!! We were so overwhelmingly happy with our decision- Adam and team is so organized from day one through the editing process. They even gifted us a couple's cookbook when we booked with them! Photos only took 3 weeks to get back after the wedding day- and we couldn't be more happy!! They were so proactive about communication throughout the process! The editing is phenomenal and album is easily accessible for our families. We worked with Katherine- and she is the best person, photographer, and hype woman, so incredibly talented! She was sweet to meet up with us for coffee pre-wedding and helped make my dream first look surprise for my husband go off perfectly! She is a pro at capturing the documentary style photography we loved, while making us both feel so much more loose and comfortable in front of the camera. She was so good at rallying the families for photos and jumped in to help with the flow of the dinner and reception! above and beyond what we could have asked for. She was so welcoming and kind to all our families and even danced with all of us all night. She captured the most incredible exit photos with champagne too.
Overall- please choose Mason Photography for your wedding! The organization, editing, and people especially are beyond compare -

Adam was an absolutely amazing photographer for our engagement photos and wedding! Both me and my wife were nervous to get our photos taken, but he immediately got us laughing and feeling comfortable, and helped us get into poses that felt natural and flattering. He got along so well with our friends and family during the wedding day and took so many amazing images throughout the full day that we cherish! His second shooter Eric was also wonderful and we appreciated his coaching with Adam on how to make each shot look perfect. All of his photos are so vibrant, artistic, and stunning. Where to start!? Adam has truly become family and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. He’s now done three events for us – our engagement shoot in DC, wedding in DC, and, based on how happy we were with our original photos, our second wedding in Scotland. We originally reached out to Adam because we liked his photo aesthetic (e.g., how brightly the colors pop) and immediately clicked with him over the phone based on his enthusiasm, energy, attention to detail, desire to learn about us as a couple, and prompt follow-up. Most importantly, he was very supportive of us as a gay couple and truly walks the walk of supporting couples of ALL backgrounds.
Some other stand out characteristics of working with Adam include 1) his reassuring presence, 2) deftness with tricky family dynamics, 3) persistence in getting spectacular shots, 4) creativity, 5) work ethic – he was feeling unwell at our engagement shoot and had a broken hand at our DC wedding, and he brought his A game both times, 6) knowledge of how to position, pose, and relax people such that you look your best, 7) ability to seamlessly work with other vendors, like a video team, 8) prompt communication, and 9) he truly studies his clients such that he brings out your personality in his photos. In addition, our family members enjoyed working with him to the point that everyone agreed he should photograph our party in Scotland!

Mason Photography is a dream team! We are so grateful to Adam and his team for our incredible photos. We booked Adam and a second photographer (Eric); Katherine was also present and helping out as she was preparing to photograph a wedding at our venue a following weekend. Because we are a mixed-race couple, we wanted to make sure our photographers would capture us and our families in the best light, and Mason Photography went above and beyond! They were fun, creative, and captured stunning photos. Their Wedding Guide was super helpful in planning out our timeline, and Adam was very quick to respond to emails, put us at ease by answering many questions, and sent us our photos in under a month. On the day of, Adam kept us ahead of schedule, which allowed us to capture more photos, and he got creative when snow, a public event, and other potential challenges occurred. Mason Photography (specifically Adam) shot our wedding in December of 2022 and he did a fantastic job. A few key standouts:
(1) His ability as a single-shooter was fantastic, we only had one but despite that Adam was able to capture multiple angles during the ceremony, without being intrusive! We never knew he was there.
(2) Speed! Adam had all of our photos edited and looking fantastic just 10 days after our event. The turnaround was amazing, especially with the holidays looming!
(3) Guidance! My wife and I are what you would consider as 'camera shy' but Adam did a great job getting us, and our wedding party/families/guests posed both professionally and with some personal flair. Everybody walked away from the event saying what a good job Adam did getting folks to pose, look natural, and beautiful all with a few quick instructions.
I would strongly recommend Adam for your own event, and will absolutely be using him in the future when we have another major life milestone! -

We were fortunate to work with a number of incredible vendors for our wedding, but Adam was our favorite hands down. During an otherwise chaotic and at times stressful day, Adam’s calming demeanor has a way of saying “I got you.” When we started wedding planning, no one told us how much time we’d actually spend with our photographer - but thank goodness we had Adam. He’s funny, kind, and made sure that we were having fun the entire day. Adam has a way of breathing life into his photos in a way I never thought possible. The images from our wedding day don’t look like any other wedding portraits I’ve seen - they are inherently *us* and you can feel the joy radiating through each frame. He makes people look cool dancing to Mr. Brightside, and if I had to do it all over again the only thing I’d change is to book Adam for more time. If you do nothing else for your wedding day, hire Adam. He’s worth it. -

We are so lucky to have had Adam photograph our District Winery wedding this fall. From the minute we spoke to him, we knew we would be in good hands. His laidback and funny, yet passionate personality coupled with his expertise and insanely good photos immediately sold us. Adam photographed our engagement shoot following a crazy DC thunderstorm - thanks to Adam, we ended up getting amazing shots despite all the rain.
Flash forward to our wedding day and a hurricane was in the forecast. That didn't stop Adam one bit. He calmed our nerves and got creative to make sure we got all the photos we wanted and then some. If you want to work with someone who will take the kind of photos you are dreaming about, stick with you throughout a pandemic, venue change, etc., and whose funny and easy going demeanor will prompt all your guests to compliment your photographer weeks after your wedding, then stop your search and book Adam Mason. We hired Adam as our wedding photographer back in 2019 for our planned wedding in 2021; Covid had other plans and we ended up rescheduling for 2022. Adam stuck with us over that four-year period and, in the lead-up to our big day, worked with us as we revised our entire wedding from how we originally envisioned it. He helped bring our vision together: from meeting us at our house to take pictures with our cat, to organizing all of our family members and friends for photos, to driving us himself to our reception—without Adam, our day would not have been as enjoyable or as stress-free. He has a great eye for what makes a good photo; there were a few times we noticed our family members ask for a specific photo, only for Adam to show them that he had already captured the moment. Fast forward, and all of our photos turned out great—literally all of them!—and were quickly made available to us. And did we mention that, despite just having his first child a month earlier (!!), he still came out and shot the entire wedding himself? To boot, he has been patient with us as life events have gotten in the way of planning our album, which we know will turn out beautifully. Anyways, we could go on, but a huge thanks to Adam for sticking with us over the last 4+ years to help make our wedding day everything we wanted it to be and more. Adam Mason was the first and best decision my husband and I made for our wedding. We were struck by his colorful and fun photos on Instagram. We booked him before we even had a date or venue set. He was so flexible and responsive, which made photography one less stress on my full plate of wedding planning.
Adam makes taking photos so comfortable and fun. He gave us great directions during our engagement shoot, which we still apply today. He was also fantastic with our large wedding party and families. Even when we lost our party bus while taking photos, Adam was so chill and reassuring and helped our wedding party problem solve to get back on route.

Adam was my wedding photographer and I cannot say enough good things about him! I found him because I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that he shot. He was so nice and easy to get along with at my friend's wedding, and the photos from the wedding were beautiful. When he then shot my wedding, he was amazing again. Even before we got our photos back, my friends and family commented on how much they liked him. They all said that he made them feel so comfortable being photographed and that they liked his energy. My husband and I felt the same way - Adam made us feel so at ease, and throughout our entire wedding day, he expertly directed us (whether it was finding cool locations at our venue or telling us how to pose) and got incredible photos of us and our loved ones that we will treasure forever. As we are not used to being professionally photographed and have no idea how to pose, this was much appreciated! I also am so impressed with Adam's creative eye. Our wedding was the first that he had shot at our venue, and he had no trouble finding beautiful backdrops and locations to shoot. He and his assistant photographer also had such a great range - they took a lot of fun, artsy shots, as well as candids and traditional portraits. When I showed my friends and family the photos, everyone was so impressed. It was remarked that it takes a very talented photographer to be able to know when to take the right candid shots, and Adam has that skill - he has the instinct and eye to capture all of the moments and facial expressions that you would want in photos but you don't even realize are happening. We love Adam and Mason Photography and would recommend them to anyone and everyone! -

My husband and I initially chose Adam Mason as our photographer because of his unique photography style. His incorporation of rich color and skill for capturing incredible candid moments stands apart from the typical bright, more washed out and posed style that we've seen with other wedding photography. He did not disappoint as our photos look incredible and unlike any others that we've seen. Adam was also an absolute pleasure to work with as he was responsive, flexible with our COVID related date change, and delivered us both our engagement and wedding photos within record time. I am not exaggerating when I say there is no other photographer I would have wanted on my wedding day than Adam Mason! He was super easy to work with from day one (including helping us move our wedding back a few months due to COVID) and was very easy to get in contact with throughout the whole process. On the big day he was punctual and communicative about being on his way, and our guests LOVED him - he felt like he was a guest at the wedding in the best way. Equally important, the photos turned out INCREDIBLE and he got them back to us in just over 2 weeks... a super fast turnaround time! I promise you that you won't be disappointed by hiring this person. -

Unparalleled experience
We can't say enough amazing things about Adam! From our very first meeting, we knew he was the perfect fit for us. Where do we even begin with working with Adam?! From finding him on Reddit (of all places) to our first emails and phone calls, we knew Adam was going to be the one to capture our wedding day. Once we booked, he was a person who we knew would be willing to help us choose other vendors, be there for us for any stupid questions (we had a lot), and he really turned out to be that go-to person for us. Even though we didn't do an engagement session beforehand, by the time we got to the wedding day, and how much we had already communicated, we felt like we already really knew him. He made us laugh throughout the day, was welcoming to our families, and captured our day just as we would want it. His photos came out natural, captured the love and emotion of the day, and highlighted what really mattered: the people! He really, really cares about the final product for his couples and we couldn't have been happier. We've already recommended him to all of our engaged friends and our friends and family can't stop raving about how beautiful each image is. Adam was extremely responsive when we first reached out to him. He came highly recommended and we could tell why from the initial call we had. He was professional but kind and human, we clicked instantly! He was able to send Corrine for our big day and the wedding day threw lots of curveballs. The weather was cold and raining, our ceremony spot moved inside, and plenty of other things. She was ultra-professional and rolled with every change that came our way. She then spent most of the evening right in the middle of the dance floor with us and got some incredible photos from that. We couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out! The only thing we would change is adding a second photographer to get even more awesomeness. -

Amazing wedding with Mason Photography
After our first call with Adam, we knew we made the right choice. He was incredibly responsive, engaging, and our biggest hype man. Ultimately, we worked with Corinne for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. I can't speak highly enough of our experience with Corinne. She came in full of energy and really nailed all of the shots. She was so patient and professional during the family formals, and even helped me bustle my dress after the ceremony. We stumbled across Mason Photography through Instagram, and were immediately impressed with his ability to capture natural looking posed photography! Through our conversations from afar, meetings in person, engagement session, and wedding day, we felt so comfortable and well taken care of. The Wedding Guide? GENIUS. Sent to us once we decided on Mason Photography, we were now equipped with a small magazine with answers to all the questions we would think of along the way.. "When would our day actually start?" "When should we do our engagement shoot?" "Should we do a first look?" "We want some epic sunset/sunrise pics, how can we plan our day of schedule accordingly?". All the details, they've thought of through their almost 10 years of experience in wedding photography. For the questions that weren't included in this Guide, Adam was incredibly responsive and able to help immediately. Turnaround on pictures was unbelievable -- 2 weeks-- and we are over the moon with the moments that Adam was able to capture for us. Would recommend Mason Photography 10x over and look forward to hopefully working with them for any future shoots! -

Adam was awesome to work with from day 1. Super responsive and detail oriented - he even helped us map out where to take our photos throughout the city and had great suggestions. He also has excellent vendor reccs if you are looking for a DJ, venue, hair/makeup/etc. Above all, he made our wedding day even more fun - all of our photos came out with genuine laughs and smiles because Adam made it a super fun experience. I was so worried my husband would feel awkward taking photos, but with Adam's help we both had the best experience and loved our wedding photos! I can't recommend him enough!! -

You would be foolish not to hire Mason Photography for your wedding! Adam Mason’s work is beautiful. More importantly, Adam Mason is a beautiful person! He was so fun to work with! Which as a bride was important to me. I just wanted to have fun and marry the love of my life. DONE! From the first phone call, we felt like we were important and our wedding mattered to him. Not just the bottom line. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not fun but we did power through to celebrate as safe as possible. The BEST Wedding Photography Experience
Adam was hands-down the best decision we made for our wedding. Planning a wedding in DC while living in Atlanta was not the easiest, but we felt totally relaxed with Adam from our first FaceTime call. Since we planned to spend several hours with just Adam before the wedding doing our first look and running around to a few spots in DC, I wanted someone who was going to put us at ease so we weren't stressed from taking so many photos leading up to the main event. We had so much fun running around DC with him, despite the freezing cold temperatures! I had given him only minimal ideas of what I wanted and he delivered on awesome locations. I really appreciated how he was up for anything, including jumping in and out of Ubers while helping carry my bouquet :)
Additionally, Adam was an absolute pro at the wedding and reception. Our ceremony photos are beautiful, we got though formal family photos in record time (as requested) and the photos from the reception are priceless (and in some cases hilarious).
I've looked though all our photos multiple times and know I will always cherish them. Wedding photography is definitely an investment and Adam is worth every cent! -

Where to even start?! I didn't know anything about planning a wedding, and didn't have any idea about what I even envisioned. But 1 thing I DID know is I HAD TO HAVE Adam document my most special day to date. Adam has this very natural easy going way to engage with... people. Clients or non-clients, he is honest, transparent, super chill and FUNNY! He's the perfect combination of what you want *scratch that NEED on your wedding day (not to mention he is totally professional and experienced, duh). But, awesome human aside, his work honestly speaks for itself. It's original, genuine, and I think keeps the focus on the important things: people. moments. After having lived through my wedding, I can seriously say at the end of the day I don't care about the little details, and decorations. I care about the people who surrounded us with love, who cheered for us, and who danced with us in celebration. Adam was able to capture all of this, AND those details!!! Thanks to Adam we have photographs around our little home (print your photos, ya'll!) that take us back to that day, those moments, and it's something truly special - so, so grateful for this!
Finally and in all honesty, Adam was someone my partner and I felt comfortable with, our wedding was not top tier expensive, it was on a really tight budget. Adam was, aside from our venue, our biggest wedding expense, and we had to choose between photography and flowers - at the end of the day, sadly, flowers die within a few hours (I know others will disagree and that's okay) but what mattered to us, and the way we thought about it is, we were willing to put the money where it matters and LASTS longest. In hiring Adam, I wasn't concerned about my wedding aligning with the vendor. I knew Adam would be cool and accepting of whatever shape and form my wedding took.

My now husband, Matthew, and I stressed about finding many of our vendors, but we never doubted that Adam would be the best fit for our wedding photos! Our photos are so effortlessly beautiful and Adam put all of our family and wedding party at ease. I got SO many compliments on our wedding album and on the photography experience at the wedding. My wedding party kept commenting that they never felt awkward or posed. Adam’s sense of humor kept everything fun and he made everyone feel like his friend upon first meeting. Picking our photographer was the easiest decision besides saying yes to my husband. After we saw Adam’s work at the Wyndridge Farms Showcase, we knew this had to be our photographer at our perfect venue. We picked Adam almost two years before our wedding and throughout our engagement he was present and made us feel at ease the whole time. He made all our guests comfortable the whole wedding and allowed us to see every moment even if we weren’t present at that time. All our guests after the wedding said we CANT WAIT to see Adam’s photos - he was everywhere! Adam was incredible to work with!! He was great at making us feel comfortable during portraits. He made the process really easy--without awkward posing but directing us in a way that was fun. During our ceremony Adam faded into the background while still delivering beautiful photos. During the reception he blended in to the party, celebrating with us without being distracting. He delivered our photos faster than promised. They are all incredible, and we can’t stop looking through them. THE BEST OF THE BEST. If you want photos that aren't overly staged and forced, book Adam ASAP. I love that I have so many great candid and lively shots of family and friends during our ceremony and reception that truly show their emotions from that day. From our engagement shoot until the very end of our wedding day, Adam was there to capture the best moments of our lives.
My bridesmaids still comment to this day on how he was so funny and made our hectic morning of getting ready that much better. He even drove me from my hotel to the venue, and it was nice to have that moment of peace before walking into my ceremony. I have recommended him to every single person, even friends who aren't engaged yet!
Also, if you are able to, book his new photo booth! Looking at those photos and the boomerangs are so enjoyable and it was a great addition to our reception. -

Much like the rest of the Mason Couples - photography for our wedding was at the top of our list and it was the first thing that was booked. I cannot say enough great things about Adam as not only a person, but also a photographer. Adam is the friendliest and most outgoing person you will ever meet. We met him at an expo and he was the only vendor to come up to us and introduce himself. His work looked amazing and he was so easy to talk to it was a very easy decision to make him our wedding photographer. My husband and I planned our Baltimore wedding from St. Louis, and from the beginning Adam was an integral part of making that process painless and even kind of fun! (Trust when I say I am NOT a wedding person at all.)
We didn't get a chance to meet in person prior to the big day, but from first look to now two weeks later, Adam's warmth and sense of humor made it seem like we'd been friends for years. We had to fit a lot into a short amount of time, and he wrangled our big family with ease and joy.
By far my favorite part of the entire wedding was our sunset photos, where we left the party for a much needed break and got to hang out on a grassy knoll resting, cracking jokes and taking what have so far turned out to be the most incredible pics.

I don’t even know where to begin singing Adam’s praises. I spent a lot of time looking for a really good photographer. I wanted someone with a style that was light, colorful, airy, and most of all, someone who would be able to capture emotion, and action—pictures that could put you right back into that exact moment. Adam does JUST THAT! From the very beginning, he was professional, courteous, kind, understanding, and even doubled as a wedding planner at some points! He sends gifts to his couples, and also sends his own personal guide book to help you prepare for your big day in order to allow for a smooth photography experience! Because of his guide, I came prepared with what I needed to have ready and what to have prepared in order for him to capture the images I wanted. Wow. I mean, come on! Doesn’t get any better. This guy KNOWS his stuff!
My fiancé and I are an interracial couple, and in my opinion, finding a photographer that was proficient in shooting contrasting skin tones successfully can be challenging and after a not so great engagement shoot with another photographer, I realized just how important that is. But Adam is a miracle worker. He was able to capture the best of us both. He has such a great eye for these things so I tried my best to just stay out of his way and just let him do his thing. like I said, he KNOWS his stuff!!
My fiancé is a “guy’s guy,” but a bit introverted, so personality in the photographer was also important to allow him to look and feel comfortable in the pictures. Adam was amazing! He was almost like a friend to the both of us, allowing for images that captured our love and the good time that was had, and boy did our wedding guests absolutely love him!!!! Do yourself a favor and have Adam photograph your wedding. Mark my words, you won’t regret it! -

Adam Mason was the best vendor we had at our wedding. Period. In the lead-up to the event, he was responsive, wanted to get to know us and our story, get a feel for our style, and help us plan a great day. He was also great in giving us feedback on our timeline to make sure we had enough time scheduled for the photos and a period later in the day to take more couples photos as the sun set, which we never would have thought of but which came out great! Basically, he wasn't just a photographer, he was our private photography consultant.
During the event he was always making people laugh, herding people (politely) so that we stayed on time, got great angles, and genuinely making sure that everyone had a great time.
Afterwards, he was prompt with the delivery of photos, gave us lots of digital and physical options, and did a great job giving us access to the proofs.
We couldn't have been happier and would strongly recommend him for any event (wedding or not). He's also just a really fun and nice guy, so you should be friends with him. =) -

Can't recommend Adam enough!
When my husband and I were looking for a photographer, we knew we needed someone personable- who could make us feel comfortable on our big day - and of course, who took great photos. Adam was all that and more - where some photographers we spoke with felt uptight and make us anxious, Adam was relaxed, competent and conveyed a contagious excitement - it reflected onto us and we in turn felt calm, had a blast and did not feel nervous. Calm, excited people look way better in photos than nervous uptight ones :) Also, Adam is just a great overall guy- down for a little spontaneity - and he always brought something new to our conversations - from teaching us about photography or one of his amazing vacations - I looked forward to every meeting we had with him. Finally- the photos! I cry every time I look at them- he did such an amazing job capturing the big and small moments in a meaningful way. The small moments help tell the story of our wedding day in a way that means so much. Overall, I cannot say enough about Adam- we have stayed in touch a year after our wedding - and I think that is quite the testament too! -

Where do I even begin? Choosing Adam as our photographer was hands down the best decision we made in regards to our wedding. My husband and I were presented with so many options but literally kept comparing every photographer we found to Adam. His use of color, his ability to make people relax, and how he captures emotions and moments that are so real I feel like I'm reliving my wedding every time I go through my album. That is just his talent alone (his pictures speak for themselves), as a business entrepreneur he is responsive, incredibly organized, personable and truly understands the concept of social media. During our engagement photo shoot Adam never made us feel like we were posing or faking any of our emotions and that comfort level came across in our photos and then translated to our couples portraits during our wedding. Adam was such a calming presence during our entire wedding day and I ultimately see him now as one of our great friends! OMG we cannot express how amazing Adam is, as a person and a photographer! I first saw his photos on our venue's website and immediately fell in love with the depth of color and the super cool shots. After our initial phone call with Adam, we could just tell how genuinely kind he is and that was what made our decision for us. The preparation process leading up to the day of the wedding was super organized and stress free. He even sent us a newlywed cookbook I mean c'mon how awesome is that?! Even before me and my husband made any other wedding related decisions, we knew that we wanted to hire Mason Photography. In fact, we planned our wedding date around hiring Adam. I had been a bridesmaid at another wedding that he shot and I could not believe how professional, organized, and personable he was. And my husband (who hates having photos done) could not believe how relaxed and confidant the groom looked in the final photos. At our wedding my family, vendors, and my husband (ie all of the people who could be flustered/anxious) were extremely comfortable and confidant when interacting with Adam. As for the photos themselves, let me put it this way. I am a photographer. I know that it's really easy to make a highlight portfolio look amazing while the full results from the individual shoot can be sporadic in quality. And let me tell you Adam does not waste a single moment that he's with you. On our wedding day he caught all of the big moments and so many little details that I would never even have thought to capture. Of all the things we paid for our wedding our wedding photos are the things that lasted beyond the day itself. That was worth the investment. Adam is expensive (and rightfully so), but for the amount and the quality of images you receive, his professional and personal demeanor, and his organization and attention to details Mason Photography really is the best value. -

First off WOW. We could not be more thrilled with our wedding photos and the whole experience. Neither of us are good at posing for photos or are comfortable in front of the camera and we felt so at ease with Adam. Not only that, but we LOVE our photos and how we look. He was so accommodating and helpful in navigating the whole process. We've loved getting to know him and are excited to build a friendship and are already talking about the next event or photoshoot we can hire him for! He has a great personality and really makes the guests, wedding party, family so comfortable.
Not only did he make the day, the experience leading up to it, and everything that's followed a dream - but we love the photos. Long Version:
It's hard for me to put into words just how incredible working with Adam has been for the past year or so. When my husband and I first met him at Maketto, I was nervous- I hadn't ever had my picture taken professionally before, and was completely overwhelmed by the wedding planning process. But those fears melted away almost instantly as we got into chatting, and continued chatting for over an hour about everything, the fact that we are both Patriots fans, I worked on a program in rural Ethiopia and he had done work in Ethiopia, our new neighborhood, almost more about ourselves and our lives than about wedding logistics.
From then on, Adam became a support system for Aaron and I- he guided us through our engagement session, the first time for us posing and taking pictures together, gave us his amazing wedding guide AND a newlywed cookbook that we are now making our way through, chatted for way longer than we should over coffee at La Colombe. On our wedding day, Adam was not only cool, calm, and collected with our hectic bridal party and family, but could read my emotions and knew when I needed space, when I was ready for more action, when to take charge, and what I needed to hear.
The end result of all his hard work, his incredible skill, and dedication to our story was a truly perfect day, pictures that really do capture the love and emotion of our wedding, and a blossoming friendship that I hope continues on for years to come. I am so thankful to have had him as our photographer and even more thankful to have him as a friend. -
