Working with Maryam was a dream

I didn’t have a specific vision in mind when it came to flowers, and I had no idea what to expect in terms of scope, price or design. Maryam made it easy, even when COVID-19 forced my husband and me to recalibrate our wedding plans.

First, she was extremely responsive and detail-oriented: Right off the bat, she developed a proposal clearly illustrating the exact palette and style we’d envisioned. It was easy to visualize the types of arrangements she was going to create for us.

Second, she was extremely transparent about pricing and she found creative ways to accommodate our budget at every stage of the process. She always made proposal updates quickly, which meant we could make decisions faster.

Third, the end product was stunning. I was blown away. She made sure to emphasize that the images in her proposal were just examples, and the actual arrangements were more beautiful than we could have imagined. I have a new appreciation for how much flowers can transform a space.

Finally, she was so professional and kind at every phase of the process. She’s just a lovely person. If you want a true partner when planning your wedding flowers, hire Maryam.

A wonderful experience with Maryam

Maryam designed the floral centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres for our November wedding and did so wonderfully. Our flowers were the focal point for our reception and they truly transformed our reception space into the warm and elegant environment we envisioned. Maryam is flexible, knowledgeable, extremely easy to work with and is very accommodating to changes and preferences. Our wedding was the same day as the World Series parade in DC and Maryam went out of her way to make sure our flowers made it to their destinations on time and securely. My mother hand preserved many of the flowers after the wedding and they dried beautifully and true to color which I believe is a great indicator of the quality and freshness of the flowers themselves. I only wish there were more occasions in my life where I get to carry around one of her spectacular bouquets!

The best!

Maryam is simply the best. Not only is she an amazing person, but her flower arrangements are also stunning! We have had so many wedding guests comment on how beautiful our flowers were!!!

Throughout the entire planning process leading up to the wedding, Maryam was extremely responsive and so sweet even when I changed my mind a million times. She will also NEVER try to up-sell you on something you don't need. When I asked her for a quote for a floral arrangement for my sweetheart table, she told me to save my money and that she would re-purpose my bridesmaid's bouquets for sweetheart table decor. That speaks volumes to the kind of person she is.

Maryam was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator and I am so happy that we went with her for all of our wedding day florals! Unfortunately, I never got a chance to meet Maryam, but that didn’t stop her from making all my flower dreams come true. She was wonderful about communicating via email with proposals and details. I trusted that she would do an amazing job and was thrilled with the final result. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and was not like anything I had seen before, and I got many compliments on our table arrangements. Excellent florist with reasonable prices

Maryam Flowers was recommended to me by my wedding venue, and I could not be more grateful. I was working with a pretty tight budget and Maryam helped me come up with a BEAUTIFUL floral plan for the day of. She also was not afraid to counter back if she did not think that something would work from a design perspective based on her experience, which I appreciated. I had a lot of little questions and back-and-forth changes, and she was extremely responsive and flexible.

Aside from the flowers, Maryam is a wonderful person and helped provide moral support throughout the planning process. I had a unfortunate experience with high turnover in my venue contact, one point at which the hotel forgot to notify me and I did not find out until Maryam had trouble contacting them about providing floral samples for my tasting which was in a few days! She gave me a few kind words of encouragement and affirmation to trust my vendors (and she was right), which was just what I needed to hear at the time and greatly appreciated. I loved working with her and would gladly work with her again if I plan another event in DC!

beautiful flowers

My wedding flowers were absolutely beautiful. I discussed the varieties of flowers I wanted, the colors, the centerpieces, and the wedding party flowers. Maryam worked with me to stay within a budget. For example, I love peonies, which are expensive, so Maryam put the most beautiful peonies just in my bridal bouquet. All of the other flowers were gorgeous, as well.
Maryam also brought in other rentals for us. She ordered and set up the chuppah, the aisle runner, and the stage covering. We also got double use out of our centerpieces, because Maryam put the centerpieces on acrylic columns to line the aisle and the chuppah for the ceremony. Maryam has a ton of experience, and it showed. She was professional, easy to work with, and it all looked wonderful!

Beautiful and amazing!

Maryam of Maryam flowers is the sweetest and her arrangements are gorgeous! We had a wedding for 240 people at the Omni in DC. Our wedding was Persian-American so we needed flowers for our persian sofreh and reception. Maryam was so great at helping work within our budget and repurposing flowers from the ceremony to the reception.

She decorated the gazebo at the Omni for us as well and it looked like a dream! She was so easy to work with, so friendly and so talented! I loved all our flowers so much!

She was sweet enough to give us a centerpiece to take with us to our food tasting and to pick out linens so we could see how it looked. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Maryam!

That's who Maryam is - your wedding planning partner! I could not have found a more understanding, patient, responsive, creative, genuine florist. I met with several florists, some of which are very high-end in price. At the end of the day, Maryam makes it about you - it's your event. It's not about what Maryam wants or thinks, it's about what you - Maryam is there to give you advice and her opinions when you ask, but she does not force them on you.
Maryam not only listens and respects your vision, she also works with you to actualize on your vision within a reasonable budget! She provides alternatives and options easily to still achieve what you're looking for. She is also great at providing her ideas, understanding what you're looking for, and advising when something you ask for won't work well for your event/setting.
I also changed my mind several times and Maryam was super patient and kept up with all the changes and didn't miss a beat. The event was perfect and gorgeous in so many ways. Maryam even helped us fix a little incident in setting up our photo table - it wasn't even her job to!
I could not have selected a better florist. I never had to worry once the whole way through planning our wedding about our florals/decor. Go with Maryam for ease of mind and personal attention!

Best Wedding Florist Ever!

Maryam Flowers (works with the Edge flowers) is better than perfect! Our bouquets, boutineers, chuppah, runner and stage cover were beautiful and we even used the bouquets for center pieces as well. Maryam is so sweet and working with her is the best. She is very responsive and her prices are competitive. I highly recommend using her for your wedding.

Fantastic Job!

Maryam did a wonderful job on our wedding flowers! She was great to work with and I highly recommend her. We received many compliments about the bouquets and flower arrangements. She was very helpful and flexible during the whole process - she was very conscious of our budget and helped me pick out arrangements that went with my colors/style for the wedding but were still within our budget. Most gorgeous flowers!

Maryam did an amazing job designing the flowers at our wedding! We can't thank her enough for her help planning our event. She is extremely responsive, has an amazing taste and is very easy to work with. She created for us my wedding bouquet, a mini toss bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces, mantel decorations and flowers for the cake. Everyone was in awe of my wedding bouquet! She made sure everything looked perfect and elegant at the venue.

Gorgeous Flowers

Our wedding planner coordinated with Maryam Flowers to provide flowers for our wedding. I provided a few example photos from Pinterest and our color scheme and Maryam delivered beautiful arrangements . The bouquets were fresh, perfect sized, gorgeous and the exact colors we were looking for. The table centrepieces turned out great as well. Paired with vases and floating candles (rented from Maryam) they complemented the table setting and room perfectly. Upon our wedding planner’s suggestion, Maryam also created two larger flower arrangements to be put on pedestals (also rentals). They added color to our wedding ceremony and were also used to decorate our cake table during the reception. We didn’t get to work with directly with Maryam (though she came recommended from our wedding planners), but the end product was beautiful and we would definitely recommend Maryam Flowers!

I used Maryam's services for our wedding on 09/09/2018 and I can honestly say she is amazing. From the very beginning she made us feel so comfortable, provided ideas and suggestions that were so helpful. We got our arbor decorations, bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces and aisle decorations from her. She was at the venue early to set everything up, had everything labeled for us and she was always so responsive. I recommend her and trust me you will not regret it. Where do I start? Maryam was amazing to work with and made our wedding venue look stunning with her floral work. Every step of the planning process went smoothly and Maryam was very helpful as we decided on how many centerpieces we needed and how to arrange our chuppah. One of the things we were most worried about when planning our ceremony was the installation of the chuppah and setup with our flower arrangements due to the time constraints we had. Maryam made everything possible. She arrived early, set everything up, took everything down, and delivered a beautiful bridal bouquet and perfect table centerpieces that were spot on with our color theme. I cannot recommend Maryam and her team enough...thank you Maryam!!

From our initial consultation, to adjusting our order during the planning process, to the day of, Maryam and her team go above and beyond. My family used Maryam for both my sister and my wedding, two years apart, and we would never look anywhere else. Maryam perfectly carried out my vision of tons greenery and all white flowers on my big day. Not only were the flowers beyond gorgeous, Maryam is the most professional, pleasant person to work with during a rather stressful time. I can't say enough amazing things about Maryam. From the first time we met, she was extremely kind, easy to work with, and made me feel very comfortable. A few months after our initial meeting, I wanted to make changes to the flowers I chose- her understanding and willing to work with me was so appreciated and meant the world to me. On the day of our wedding, the flowers and set-up were more beautiful than I ever imagined! I was speechless when I saw our ceremony room and was actually moved to tears when I saw our ballroom. I cannot say enough good things about Maryam Flowers! One of my old bosses (that is now in the wedding industry) recommended Maryam, as she has worked with her company on many occasions. After speaking with Maryam I knew I did not want any other florist to do my wedding. She is very knowledgeable about floral arrangements – what flowers are seasonal and would fit my budget and what colors would coordinate based on our wedding colors. She showed me pictures of flowers and floral arrangements of her previous weddings when I did not know what a flower was or how it would look. Also, I loved that she had a brick and mortar shop that I could visit. I found that she was flexible with our budget which was nice, as our budget for florals was small. I also found that she was very responsive to emails, which was helpful during the planning process!

On the day of my wedding there was a pretty good chance of rain and we were having an outdoor ceremony. Maryam brought multiple options for our ceremony alter with her and allowed me to make the rain backup plan call a couple hours before the ceremony…from what I have heard from friends, this is outstanding as most of my friends had to let their florists know that morning of the ceremony! Also, the way my venue was setup Maryam and her staff were not able to take the Chuppah down right after the ceremony but had to wait until the cocktail hour was over…she did not charge me nor did she complain that her staff had to sit around and wait for the ceremony and cocktail hour to finish before they took their equipment down.

Lastly but most important - her flowers were gorgeous, smelled amazing, and lasted a long time! My bouquet was beautiful and full, and when my aunt took one of our centerpieces home she told me it lasted over a week!

Maryam was absolutely wonderful to work with. She did the flowers for my best friends wedding 4 years ago, and those flowers were so gorgeous, I knew I wanted to use her from the beginning. She is responsive, flexible, and can work within your budget. She offers wonderful suggestions for how to get the effect you want. She is experienced and extremely easy to work with. The flower were beautiful and held up perfectly all day. My bridal bouquet actually lasted for two weeks in a vase after the wedding. I didn't have to worry about ANYTHING related to my flowers. I couldn't have been happier.

Just...WOW! Maryam Flowers was by far my favorite vendor to work with during the entire wedding planning process. I contacted her and let her know my budget and sent along some flowers/photos of bouquets I liked. She worked within my budget and the final product was AMAZING. We hired Maryam to do the flowers for our wedding and we were very happy we made this decision. First of all, she is extremely organized and responsive, which takes a lot of the stress out of the wedding process. Gorgeous!! I loved the flower at our wedding and in my bouquet. Maryam was so easy to work with. I really appreciate the multiple deliveries day of so we could have the bouquets for pictures but have the centerpieces for the venue. Everything arrived on time and looking fresh.

Maryam was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding flowers. I have no green thumb, nor do I know anything about flowers or flower arranging. Maryam delivered everything that I had asked for. I was absolutely in love with my bouquet- big and colorful bouquet with open peonies that I wanted. She was very mindful of our budget, she substituted flowers similar to peonies and Juliet roses in the centerpieces to reduce the overall cost. Not only did she come early to deliver my flowers and set up the sofreh and the aisle arrangements on my wedding day but she also, stayed until after the ceremony to transfer the centerpieces from the ceremony room to the reception. The help she offered on my wedding day was beyond what a wedding florist would normally offer, she was there with me before the ceremony fixing my veil and getting me picture ready. Maryam is such a genuine happy soul and what she does in making her brides happy and bringing their vision to reality is priceless.

Book Maryam for your flowers. Don't think about it...just do it! Maryam was amazing. I only ordered bouquets and boutonnieres, but the product I received was beyond compare. Maryam listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to enhance the look for my bouquet. Even when I was really feeling a suggestion she made, she could tell and made adjustments accordingly. She was in constant communication with me when I had questions and is just an all-around wonderful person to work with. You will not be disappointed.

Maryam is a floral genius! I originally provided Maryam with my wedding colors and a few photos of arrangements I found online and the ideas she came up with blew me away. I worked with her from across the country and she was responsive, flexible to make my dreams come true within my budget, and created the most stunning floral arrangements and bouquets I have ever seen. I had to fight off tears when I first saw our venue all set up with the gorgeous centerpieces - the flowers MADE my wedding! And the bouquets......simply stunning! Many wedding guests, wedding party members and especially the venue kept commenting on how perfect and beautiful all of the flowers were - the best they had ever seen. I agree 100% and thank Maryam from the bottom of my heart for all of the love she puts into her work. Couldn't recommend her highly enough!!

STRONGLY RECOMMEND MARYAM- she is truly a genius!! She was the only florist who understood my vision and turned it into a reality. Her creativity is out of this world! I wanted a tropical wedding with lots of palm leaves, banana leaves, and only white flowers (basically a Golden Girls themed wedding). Maryam created a chandelier made out of palm leaves under the chuppah that I could not stop staring at during the ceremony because it was breathtaking! If you allow yourself to let Maryam be an artist I promise you she will not disappoint and far exceed any expectations!!

We could not recommend Maryam highly enough. She was incredibly professional, helpful, timely, and attentive to our requests throughout our planning process. Even at the last minute when we altered our entire color scheme for the wedding, Maryam was more than happy to accommodate all of our changes. All of our guests were very impressed with our center pieces and could not stop talking about how beautiful the flowers were. We were lucky to have Maryam as our florist and we plan to use her in the future for our floral needs. Maryam and her staff are definitely one of the best florists in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC area and you could not go wrong with their services.

Maryam was so great to work with and, on top of that, she worked within our budget to create the wedding of our dream :) we didn't know where to start or what we wanted for flowers, but we gave her a ballpark estimate and our wedding colors and she created beautiful masterpieces for our centerpieces and bouquets. On top of that, she was so easy to reach with any and all questions! I would email her with a last minute "oh my gosh did we think about.... xyz" question and she would respond immediately! There was one thing I was NOT worried about and that was my flowers! Maryam was so organized, professional, and responsive with great insight and taste! As a project manager by trade, I respected and admired her customer service and immediate help/responses to all my questions and concerns. Not only was she on top of her game but the flowers were gorgeous! She has extremely chic taste in flowers and showed incredible knowledge/experience on weddings - she knows her stuff! She knew the romantic feeling of my wedding and matched it with the tone and I had so many compliments on the flowers at my wedding. It was great to have one less thing to worry about during the wedding process - I'm definitely going to miss working with Maryam but plan to keep in touch because that's how amazing she is!

Maryam was absolutely one of the best vendors I worked with for my whole wedding. I gave her a few pictures of arrangements I really loved and she literally matched the pictures. The flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Some vendors try to give their own opinion too often and sometimes don't follow exactly what the couple wants. Maryam was very attentive, give suggestions when needed and did an absolutely stunning job. I really wanted peonies in my July wedding and Maryam kindly explained to me those type of flowers are not usually blooming then and may not look their best. We went with full garden roses instead to give the same look. She was able to surprise me with a few peonies in my bouquet day of! I was very thrilled. Last minute I had to call her to add some arrangements for our ceremony and she did it without any trouble at all. I even sent her photos of the table it needed to go on, the flowers I wanted, and measurements of space it needed to fit in. I told her I was sorry to call her so much and go over things but she didn't mind one bit. She was so helpful and kind and even listened to my father ramble on forever over the phone with her. Weddings can be stressful when getting down the final details, Maryam made this process so seamless and smooth. I would definitely refer her or book her for future events!

From helping and suggesting different floral options to executing exactly what we had envisioned; she got it done perfectly. Either I got lucky or I just did great research, but I seriously had the best wedding vendors and Maryam was one of them! I changed my mind on flowers 2-3 times and each time she had a new plan/quote back to me quickly and helped me make the final decision by 2 weeks before the wedding. Our flowers looked beautiful and I couldn't be happier with what she came up with, especially our table centerpieces and the archway for our ceremony! I honestly don't know that much about flowers, so I just sent her a lot of pinterest pictures and pictures of the bridesmaids dresses/invites, told her the overall colors and she did all the rest!

Maryam was amazing! Her flowers were gorgeous. They are even better than we could of imagined. She was so helpful throughout the whole process, helping us select the perfect flowers, to the columns and flowers around our altar and wedding tables, to the amazing, and I mean amazing table top decorations. And she was so hands on, even showing up at the wedding and not leaving until well after she had to just to make sure everything went right. I can't say enough good things about Maryam! From the very first e-mail she has been super responsive even well after normal work hours. We went to her and after the very first meeting knew we were going to go with her. We gave her the colors of our wedding and some preferences and let her do her job. The result was stunning flower arrangements from my bridal bouquet, to the crosages for families, to arbor decorations and centerpieces. The biggest thing to us was we knew if there was a question, or change, she was responsive, professional and I really can't recommend her enough!

My experience with Maryam Flowers was amazing. Maryam was the easiest, kindest, and the most professional person to work with. From the very beginning she was very engaging and responding to all of my needs. On the wedding day, I was beyond surprised with her super gorgeous work as it was above my expectations. The flowers were elegant and chic and it was obvious that professional hands had designed them. Before the wedding, after seeing the centerpiece sample that she had made, I asked for the centerpieces to be bigger (just to mention that the sample was already big enough and flawless, it was me that wanted everything huge) and she explained to me that bigger means more flowers. But, since I didn’t want to spend more money, I decided to stick with the current size. However, on the wedding day she surprised me with the super gorgeous bigger centerpieces at no extra charge. She had put “aroos” flowers in each centerpiece so each one not only looked bigger but also more elegant than the sample and the aroos flowers were so matched to the ivory roses and white hydrangea. To make the story short, you wouldn’t be disappointed if you work with Maryamflowers. Working with her is absolutely stress-free as she has such a nice personality and great professionalism.

If I could give Maryam 6 stars, I would! She is amazing!! Not only are her flowers gorgeous and reasonably priced, but she is a warm, friendly person who made me comfortable the moment I met her. She met with me to go over my vision, and then another time to go help explain my vision to my husband and mother in law before scheduling a time to view a sample centerpiece (which we got to keep). My husband was late getting her payment (silly me for leaving him in charge of dropping off the check) and she was completely understanding, with only gentle reminders rather than becoming like a collection agency hounding us for payment. She came to the venue personally to set up the flowers and make sure everything looked alright, and immediately followed up with us afterwards to make sure we were satisfied. The flowers themselves were unbelievable--so vibrant and breathtaking. We had sunflowers, viking buttons, and purple flowers along with baby's breath. Everyone kept complimenting how beautiful they were. They really brightened the ballroom. I cannot express how much I loved working with Maryam, and I will be sure to use her for all my future flower-needs!!

MARYAM IS TRULY AMAZING! From start to finish, Maryam was above and beyond our ideas and expectations. We wanted floral chandeliers, and our venue was being uncooperative. Maryam came up with several alternatives, and gave us the most BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING set up for our wedding. Maryam was absolutely wonderful to work with! I had no idea what type of flowers I wanted, so I told Maryam my wedding colors and she told me which flowers she thought would work best. I was a little nervous about it because I wasn't sure what they would look like all together, but when they arrived on my wedding day, they were absolutely STUNNING! Maryam certainly knows her flowers! She was so professional, nice, easy to work with, and her prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend her for any event!

I was a little nervous when first looking into florists because I knew essentially nothing about flowers and hadn't even settled yet on a look for the ceremony/reception. All my fiancé and I knew at the time was our color palette (black, charcoal, and red) and that we wanted a decadent, almost gothic-inspired reception. Maryam was engaging from the first meeting and every single interaction thereafter. Not only was she timely with each of her responses, she was so collaborative and willing to brainstorm creative ways design a style that suited both our taste and budget. We ultimately chose Maryam for the special care she invested upfront to ensure she could create a look that was uniquely "us".

It is an understatement to say that I was floored when I saw her sample reception centerpiece during our tasting a few months later. Maryam took what started out as a vague notion from our first meeting and transformed it into an arrangement that truly captured the mood we were looking to convey at our wedding. She continued to deliver on our wedding day, creating a dramatic look that achieved the perfect balance between bold statement pieces and simple yet elegant arrangements. Our guests continue to rave about the decor!!

Maryam's passion for her profession is obvious not only in the gorgeous arrangements she created for our wedding, but also in the way she interacted with us throughout the entire planning process. I simply cannot rave enough about her!! I absolutely recommend Maryam and her support team to anyone who needs a florist. Her rates are a bargain for the attentiveness and customer service she offers. You will not be disappointed!!

I was a little nervous before my first meeting with Maryam because I didn't know much about flowers and I wasn't quite sure what I wanted for the wedding/reception. Maryam was so warm and engaging that I was immediately put at ease. She asked a lot of questions and we flipped through a lot of pictures so she could get an idea of our taste.

Her quote was similar to another florist I met with but Maryam is invested in her brides and wants them to be happy. You can tell this is her passion, not just a business.

She responded to all of my emails within the hour, usually within minutes! She didn't flinch when I changed my colors and we needed to rework the flowers. AND she went above and beyond to find a tablecloth, similar to what I chose for the reception, for the sample reception table mock up. (my wedding planner and catering company weren't able to provide us with one)

Now that I've told you how wonderful Maryam is you probably want to know about the flowers! They were absolutely gorgeous! My bouquet was perfect, so elegant and she attached two meaningful pendants, from my grandparents, beautifully to the stems. For the reception we had three bud vases on each table filled with garden roses, ranunclulus and dahlias. It was simple but romantic with a fresh garden feel. I couldn't have been happier with the way the flowers turned out!

Absolutely book Maryam if she is available, you will not be disappointed!

WOW!!! This is the first word we got from every guest at our wedding. Maryam is the Best! She is very professional and easy to work with. Out of all vendors we work with, Maryam is the one that we have the most trust. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease during the entire planning. She even kept track of everything for us and reminded us ahead of time. We came to her with a little bit of information from here and there about our dream wedding and she executed perfectly. She accommodated every little thing for us even at the last minute. All centerpieces, bouquets and pews flowers are AMAZING! We had to ask venue staff to "hide" some flowers for us towards the end of the night because they were all gone. Every single guest wanted to take home some flowers LOL. About pricing, it depends on your wedding budget. For us, the cost was fair. "You get what you pay for", but for this excellent service, sometimes you can't pay for it. We are so glad that we had a chance to work with Maryam. We can't thank Maryam enough for making our Fairytale Wedding came true. If there's 10 start rating, we would give her all 10. Highly recommended !!!

Maryam was AMAZING!!!! We loved her work, got a million compliments on the bouquets, and she was very professional to work with. Maryam is extremely responsive and dedicated to her brides and all her flowers are fresh, gorgeous and Last! All the flowers and pew bows were beautiful. I couldn't be more happy with Maryam and plan to use her in the future. She was very competitive price was and is fun to work with. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed working with Maryam. The flowers at my wedding were constantly complimented and admired by my guests. Maryam always responded to my (many) questions very quickly, and was so kind and enjoyable to work with. She was incredibly flexible with any choices/questions I had, and always had an updated version of my contract handy. Of all of the wedding vendors I worked with, she was by far the easiest and most pleasant. I honestly can't think of one negative aspect of using this vendor.

I chose centerpieces with a variety of colors with a large martini glass to hold the flowers. I was told my many guests that it looked as if they were simply floating on air...that's how nicely done they were.

Beautiful & inexpensive flowers with a friendly and courteous owner. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend Maryam Flowers for anyone looking to have outstanding flowers at any event!

Maryam had the best flowers, the best customer service, and the best prices of the three vendors we met with. We actually used her shop for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, because she was so easy to work with! On the day of the wedding, our church had some confusion about the flower delivery, but Maryam took care of all the details smoothly and without creating a panic (thank you so much for that, Maryam!) I really didn't have a good idea of what I wanted for flowers (I can't believe how frustrating for a florist it must be when a bride comes in and says, "Um, I don't know, white?") but she took the few clues I gave her and gave us very beautiful bouquets!

I don't have enough words to say how wonderful both Maryam and her beautiful creations were.

She was always responsive to any phone calls or emails. I originally selected her as my vendor because she was the only floral vendor I met with that both listened to what I wanted and provided very detailed suggestions with how to get what I was looking for. I don't know anything about flowers and I felt completely comfortable handing the reigns over to her after giving such non-specific direction about the general color scheme, feel, and size that I was looking for for my bridal bouquet and the flowers for the bridesmaids.

I ordered my bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, a mother's corsage, and boutineers for the groom, groomsmen, and father of the groom. Everything turned out exactly as she had described, on time, with absolutely no fuss. I couldn't have been happier.

My family uses maryam for all of our floral needs so there was no question who would be my wedding florist. Maryam is a true artist! She provided exactly what envisioned from a simple photo and my description. On top of it all, the day of my wedding, which was to be held at a gazebo in a botanical garden, it rained! Maryam was instrumental in providing advise, support, and reassurance, in spite of me stubbornly waiting until the absolute last minute to move the ceremony indoors. In the end, it turned out for the best and all my girlfriend's were fighting over centerpieces and all the other floral arrangements! Couldn't have been better, so beautiful! Thank you again Maryam!

I cannot speak highly enough of Maryam. The flowers she did for my wedding exceeded my expectations 10-fold.

During our initial consultation, I gave her little to work with: I named colors, our budget and a few types of flowers I liked. She quickly offered suggestions and had a large portfolio for my fiance and me to peruse. From there, she delivered the most exquisite bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and centerpieces I have ever seen! I actually teared up a bit seeing my bridal bouquet for the first time!

On top of everything else, Maryam is a very nice person and a joy to work with. She is organized, punctual, communicative and professional. I would whole-heartedly recommend her to every bride!

Maryam delivered beautiful flowers to our wedding reception on time and the flowers themselves were gorgeous and fresh. Even days after the reception a couple of her arrangements still adorn our home!

Maryam was flexible and helped us to the best of her abilities. She helped us pick our flowers and arrangements each time we changed our minds and even when we forgot to account for one more boutonniere up until a couple days before our big day she was pleasant about it and threw it in free of charge.

Maryam is very kind, helpful, creative and knowledgeable so we were both very confident to have her as our florist. Truth be told, we went over budget with Maryam's services, but we could not be happier with what she was able to do for us: from the beautiful table centerpieces to the bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids and even the boutonnieres, every flower was lovely and arranged expertly. We definitely do not regret going with Maryam!

I have very little knowledge of flowers and Maryam walked me right through the process. She was very informative and eager to please. She was honest in what would look great and what wasn't so great an idea. She showed me pictures, took me in to the freezer so I could get an idea of the size of an arrangement and was overall great to work with. Maryam also was flexible and easy going about any and all changes I needed to make. I gave her a basic idea of what I wanted and she ran with it. I absolutely loved all of my flowers and they were exactly how I had hoped they would be....simple yet elegant! Fantastic job!

Maryam met all of my expectations and more! The flowers for the wedding was absolutely stunning. From the instant I first inquired about her services to all the times I changed my mind, she was very prompt and responsive and supportive of my budget and indecisiveness. She provided great suggestions and provided a sample arrangement for me when I went to the tasting at my venue so I can get a feel of how the flowers look in the lighting and color scheme. Maryam Flowers was one of the preferred vendors of our reception site. I emailed Maryam to see if we could meet with her to see her portfolio and discuss options for our wedding, and Maryam immediately invited us to preview another wedding at our venue for which she had done the flowers! To say her work is beautiful would be an understatement.

My husband, parents and I met with Maryam a few months before our wedding to iron our the details and view flower choices and colors. Both before and after that, Maryam was extremely helpful and attentive in finding exactly what we wanted, in the flower, color and price range we wanted. She provided helpful suggestions and truly made us feel like our day was important to her, too.

I can't say enough about how much we loved Maryam Flowers. We would definitely recommend it for future events!!

My co-worker used Maryam for her wedding and referred her to me. I am so gald she did. When my mom and I met Maryam I knew I wanted her to do the flowers for my wedding. She has such a wonderful personality and is very proactive in communicating with you that it made the process so effortless for me. On my wedding day, I came back from getting my hair done and the bouquets were in my room waiting for me. The bouquets and centerpieces for our wedding were beautiful. We received so many compliments on them. My guests were so excited that they were able to take them home and one of my friends told me that the flowers she took from our wedding lasted in her house for a few weeks. If you want someone who will help you figure out what flowers you want at your wedding, make the process effortless, is reliable and produces a beutiful product at an affordable price you shoudl look no further.

Maryam was FANTASTIC. The first time we met she knew exactly what I was looking for in flowers. She was able to put together the most beautiful center pieces for my wedding! She even provided me with a sample center piece before the event so that I could coordinate the colors with my caterer for linens. I had to change the quantity of centerpieces several times as the event drew near, and Maryam never batted an eye! The flowers were gorgeous and her professionalism cannot be beat. Once we met with Maryam, we looked no further. My wife felt comfortable with Maryam's style, a balance of seeking to meet desires with enough advice to consider all the options. She was very friendly during the initial appointment without being too pushy. She seemed to be genuinely interested in our day. She was flexible enough to work with us a little on pricing and preferences (changing flower colors, adding florescent lighting, extra mini arrangement). There were was no nickling and diming along the way, not even for letting us use her trellis. The most reassuring part was that she gives brides a complimentary centerpiece prior to the event. All the flowers were beautiful on the day of, especially the bouquets. Our mothers loved the magnetic clips for the corsages (very easy to get on without any pricking). Overall, she is someone who truly wants to over deliver for her clients, without charging an arm and a leg, which is rare in DC. We highly recommend her. If you like purple/calla lilies, ask about Gary and Alyssa's flower photos.
