    My husband and I can not say enough great things about Mary! She did our engagement and wedding photos, and was friendly, warm, and incredibly easy to work with from day #1. My husband and I were both a bit nervous posing for our engagement photos, but she instantly felt like a friend and made the whole experience relaxed and fun. She was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, and by the time our wedding came around, we didn't have to worry about a thing! Mary captured so many special details from our wedding, and got all the pictures we had asked for - we will cherish the photos forever :)

    Mary did our engagement and wedding photos, and we just LOVED her! My husband is generally uncomfortable in front of a camera, but she really captured the essence of our relationship. For our engagement session, she scouted locations ahead of time, and was willing to hike and climb around in the bushes to get the perfect shot. Through the whirlwind of our wedding day, she also managed to photograph all of the little details and little moments that we would have likely forgotten otherwise. Mary is so fun to work with, and had our edited photos back to us super quickly.

    Mary Gowen did our engagement and wedding photography for us. It's hard for me to talk about her without gushing! From our initial email conversations all the way to getting our photos, Mary was always professional, organized, and friendly.

    Our engagement session was fun and reflected our personalities. My now-husband really doesn't like having his picture taken but Mary made us both feel at ease and made it a fun experience.

    At our wedding, Mary captured all of our special moments in a beautiful way all day. From the big ones like the first kiss and first dance, to little ones like my in-laws dancing and my mom laughing. It was so nice to just focus on getting married and let Mary be creative and capture it all. You want someone you trust and feel comfortable with when you're putting on your dress, having your first look, signing your marriage license... and Mary is the perfect photographer for that.

    And then, of course, she made us look really good.

    Like I said, it's hard to talk about Mary without sounding like I'm gushing, but it's true! We LOVE our wedding and engagement pictures and Mary was a treat to work with!

    Mary did our engagement and wedding photos. Both turned out absolutely incredible! First, she met me with me to make sure her style was the right fit for what I wanted, which I found refreshing! For our engagement photos, she knew of locations that fit us as a couple and captured our excitement in each photo. My now-husband and I were living in different cities at the time and the weekend of our photo shoot we experienced a big snow storm. Mary was so accommodating and made it work out. We ended up with breathtaking pictures in snow! The wedding photos turned out just as stunning! She scouted out the venue plenty of time before hand to find the best picture locations, kept with the timeline, made people feel comfortable, didn't miss the little details, and was able to photograph everything we wanted without even realizing she was right there at every precious moment! When creating our wedding album it was so difficult to limit the photos we wanted. We still love looking through our wedding album and cherish the beauty of the day captured by Mary!

    I would recommend Mary to anyone, in fact after she photographed our engagement and wedding I did recommend her to a friend who used her for their reception. Mary is personable and professional. She is creative and has an eye for detail. We had never done professional photos before but she made it so easy and guided us thru it all. Not only was Mary a joy to work with, her photographs speak for themselves. I received so many compliments on our photos and they so beautifully captured the spirit of our special day. We would work with Mary again in a heartbeat!

    Mary took our engagement pictures and wedding pictures, and they're still our most cherished photos! I would normally feel nervous being in front of a camera, but Mary is so warm and engaging that we felt relaxed the whole time we spent with her. At our wedding, she went out of her way to capture all of the little details we had been planning for MONTHS. It would be easy to overlook small details like place settings and hand-written signs, but thanks to Mary we have all of those memories preserved! I also love that Mary's photography style is bright, fresh, and crisp. By the end of your wedding/engagement shoot she'll feel like one of your friends. I would highly recommend her! : )

    Mary is incredible! She is fun and made us feel relaxed. She did a beautiful job capturing the details and emotions of our wedding day. I can't recommend her highly enough!
