    There are a lot photographers that work really hard to become great artists, and then there are great artists that happen to become photographers, my feeling is Marta is the latter. Her work is the true definition of "fine art".

    We hired Marta for an after wedding shoot a few months after our out of state wedding. Our wedding pictures didn't quite turn out the way I wanted, and I was really quite hesitant about even doing a second set of pictures. But we had spent a lot on my dress, my husbands suit, and we wanted to include our horse in some of the pics. I knew the only way I was going to move forward was if I could find someone that shot film and someone that was really into the idea of working with a horse and all that comes with that. Once I stumbled across Marta's photos I was drawn to them right away, they just looked so... soft, full of depth, timeless, and almost effortless. Once we talked she seemed to be really excited about the ideas so we decided to move forward.

    She was so great at working out a date with me and also dealing with the crazy Maryland weather. Once we met she was so friendly , super easy to work with, and put my husband and I at ease in front of the camera. We defiantly felt like models in an equestrian magazine for the day! It only took about a week and half to get the online gallery up and when I saw them I was BLOWN AWAY! I had the feeling I should of had seeing my actual wedding photos! Not only did she take my all time favorite picture of myself, she took so many breathtaking photos! Way beyond my expectations! Photos that we really will cherish forever. I showed a few to my family and they we're equally blown away. I now only wish I would of hired her for our wedding! My advice... no matter where you're getting married, hire Marta if you want top quality photography!

    We can hardly wait to work with her again to take future family photos! Thank You Marta!

    Marta is a gem!! Such a talented and sweet person, she really made our special day (s) those to remember! She trecked all the way to Greece for our part one and then was the most understanding when we had to postpone part 2 due to a family illness. We enjoyed working with her so much, i cant wait to have more life events to invite her to photograph for us!! We love Marta!!

    AMAZING!! Marta captured the day beautifully. I love our photos and am so happy we went with her. Wonderful experience. Cannot recommend highly enough.

    I am so happy we chose Marta Locklear as our photographer - not only did she do an amazing job on our wedding photos, but she was wonderful to work with, as well!

    From our first meeting to our wedding day, Marta was a professional through and through. I loved how she had lots of questions about our wedding and our style - it felt as though she really cared about the types of photos that we wanted, versus being regimented to a particular style. My husband and I opted to not do engagement photos due to busy schedules, so we were slightly nervous about going straight to our wedding day without a test run. We had NOTHING to be worried about with Marta! Working with her was effortless - she was not pushy or demanding, and did not make us do any uncomfortable or silly poses, but instead almost blended in and caught us at our very best moments.

    Probably one of the most (or the most!) important factors in choosing Marta: her photos are STUNNING. We're currently waiting for all of our disks (our wedding was only a few weeks ago!), but if the previews she has sent are any indication of her work, we will have a hard time narrowing down between each beautiful picture. She uses light in a beautiful way and her attention to detail is amazing.

    Her pricing is quite reasonable and she is so wonderful to correspond with - making her an ideal vendor to work with! We can't wait to pick out albums and to finish up the photography process with her. Now I'm just looking for other excuses to have photos done by her! I highly recommend Marta Locklear Photography to any couples looking for a wedding photographer.

    I was married on April 25, 2009 in Cancun, Mexico at Dreams Resort. All I can say about Marta Locklear is "WOW" and "AMAZING" She captured the true essence of our wedding day. We literally get smiles and a little teary eyed looking at the pictures and slideshow!! I absolutely love the slide show she created and the song choice was perfect. I have showed all my friends, family and co-workers and everyone raves about how great the pictures are. I cannot say thank you enough to Marta and her partner in crime, Tiffany Sunshine. My husband did not care one way or the other at first about having a photographer but after we met with Marta in VA and now seeing them, he's truly excited and amazed and NEVER gets excited about pictures. Marta is creative, fresh, and super sweet and captures you at your best by allowing you to be yourself. She sees life through her lens and gets every moment on film for you to remember and cherish forever.

    Marta was great to work with and our pictures turned out great. If you are someone who needs tips for poses or direction be sure to ask her, she takes a hands off approach to catch moments naturally, but she is more than willing to help when needed. We would definitely recommend her.
